Medina Hotels

We tried a few riads this most recent trip to Morocco, and Dar Darma is by far the most dramatic.
The riad pops up on a few lists as one of the best in Marrakech, and it’s not hard to see why.

We are not new to Marrakech and after trying different solutions we settled for Dar Darma for our last 3 visits. This time we stayed 4 days in early january.

Staying at Riad Sun of Kech felt like finding a peaceful little escape right in the heart of Marrakech.

Great place. Authentic. Feels off the beaten track trying to find it. Only negative thing was the breakfast. Our last morning in Morocco and our 12th breakfast and it was very poor.

Our stay at Riad Jaune Safran was amazing. The building, bedrooms, bathrooms & patio were stunning.
We were looking for a location in the middle of the old medina, and that's exactly what we've got.

Please Note this is not the current page for Riad Jaune Safran. Previous owner. Please head to Airbnb to book.

Lovely staff, 24/7 available. Great stylish riad, spacious set up. Loved it! My family and I had a wonderful time. Great location in the quit part of the medina, still centrally located.

Had a great stay here! Riad was very clean and staff were super sweet. Even helped us pay for our taxi when we realized we had ran out of cash. Definitely went the extra mile!

Really comfortable stay, great food too! Hospitality really top-notch as well. Hotel has very unique and tasteful decor, I really felt like I was somewhere special.

We stayed over a long weekend and were very pleased with our choice of Riad.

Riad Laly! What a great experience we had with this Riad.
First. The staff and owners. Amazing! The managers were great and very kind. Helpful, nice and we had some great conversations.

Riad Laly made impression of a stylish, small and very cosy place to stay! The staff was extremely caring and helpful which made the experience so fluent 👌 Breakfast were full and delicious!

Our stay at Dar al Sultan was exceptional.

This Riad was phenomenal, such a beautiful stay. The best part though, was the hotel employee Rajit.

I stayed with my husband on our honeymoon and we really enjoyed the entire stay. Ali sincerely welcomed us with very nice mint tea and this first touch made us feel like we came back to our home.

The riad itself is super cozy and beautiful. The team was super sweet and helpful especially Ali, Youssef and Abdul.

Stayed for one night. Host was very welcoming and friendly, offered us breakfast for our early departure and helped with our taxi to the airport.

Nice hotel as a base in the Marrakech medina. It's clean, spacious, personnel is very kind, the location is perfect. I cannot fault anything. The breakfast can be improved but it is ok.

Staying here felt like living in a Moroccan dream. The tiled courtyard and traditional rooms were breathtaking. Deep Morocco Tours made my entire trip stress-free and magical.

Very happy with Riad dar Blanche and would certainly recommend! The Riad was nicely decorated and felt very idyllic, especially since you were so close to the business of the Medina and the hectic.

Second experience in this wonderful city, I had the pleasure and fortune of staying at this riad which due to its size and care makes you feel at home and enter the spirit of Marrakesh.

Riad Wabi Sabi is beautiful! Super clean, well located and the host Kim is extremely nice and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious as well!

Well if there’s a possibility to give 10 or 100 I would definitely give them to this place.

We had the most wonderful experience at Riad Dar Barbi and can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Youssef and Barbara were incredibly kind and helpful.

This riad is very well located next to the Médina and you have easy access to the souks and place jemah el fna, for instance. Staff is very friendly and kind.

Communication prior to arrival was excellent. We booked taxis through the hosts and was very glad we did as otherwise we'd never have found Riad!

The manager who stayed there without was an absolute legend and so helpful.
Really one of the best hotel staff I ve ever met.
Also a very beautiful place and the owners were nice as well!

Lovely riad with good proximity to the centre. Needed a better lock on the room door. Actually felt like you were living in a family home. Loved the service.

We are very pleased with our stay in riad Amegrad. Lovely and authentic atmosphere, friendly hosts and excellent location. We strongly recommend your service.

A really comfortable riad, wonderfully managed by Pierre and made even better by Mohamed’s amazing hospitality, he truly made a difference during our stay!

During our four-day stay in Marrakesh, we stayed at Riad Dar Chacha. If you want to experience traditional Marrakesh, Riad Dar Chacha is absolutely the place to stay.

If I could give this place 1, 000 stars, I absolutely would.
From the moment we walked into Nyla, we felt it—the entire property is effortlessly calming and serene.

Absolutely loved our stay at Nyla! Everything is so thoughtfully and beautifully executed at this riad. We indulged in the Hammam service and enjoyed the use of their pool & spa amenities.

The rooms and bathrooms are fine, and the bed is comfortable. It's well located.
The best was the incredible treatment from the staff.

Exceptional Stay at Riad Moulay Ali – Perfect for Solo Travellers.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I stayed at Riad Moulay Ali for 4 nights, and from the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, especially Nadia. The location was perfect, just a short walk from almost everything.

Amazing stay! Honestly couldn’t wish for a better time in Marrakesh. It was our first visit (during Ramadan).

Where do I even begin? This Riad is tucked away on a quiet side street just off the main souk. Somehow, once inside, it feels incredibly peaceful—you hear none of the noise and chaos from outside.

It was our first time in Marrakech so wanted something in the centre or Marrakech, not to far from anything but also some quietness after a busy day exploring.

Service out of the chart. The manager (Badr) was so nice! Always wiling to do a bit extra for his clients. Sometimes I didn’t even have to ask.

Nice place with lovely staff. Great courtyard for breakfast and dinner. We had a room on the ground floor which could be a little noisy at times.

Super nice hotel and amazing staff! Definitely recommend this hotel!
Very sweet people who welcome you with tea and sweets. The beds were comfortable.

If you really want to feel immersed in Moroccan culture, definitely stay at this Riad! Walking distance to taxi pickup locations and walking distance to all the souks.

Riad Kitula is such a beautiful, tranquil, welcoming, and really quite perfect riad, positioned within walking distance of all of the souks, yet still so peaceful.

Great hotel, great location close to everything you need.
The staff are fantastic, pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit yogurt and local breads and fresh eggs.

I had a delightful stay at Riad of the Moon! The breakfast was absolutely superb, with a great selection of fresh and flavorful options to start the day.
