Demeures dOrient Riad & Spa

Beautiful traditional riad with spacious rooms, kept spotlessly clean and pristine by the housekeeping team. The pool was perfect for cooling down after a warm day. Breakfast was good and well balanced, though the same items were served each morning, which became a bit monotonous on a seven-day stay.
All the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the spa experience was definitely worth a visit. The food was good, albeit with a rather short menu.
A couple of small disappointments: there was no clear reference to service charges not being included in any quoted prices, including at the spa and taxes. Additionally, water was not replaced daily, and we had to pay a premium for extra bottles not good considering local tap water was not safe to drink.
It is a stunning setting, with just a few details that should be improved for greater comfort and more transparency.
Overall, a five-star experience? … not sure.

We had an absolutely fantastic three night stay here. The service was excellent, so friendly and welcoming from the minute you enter (greeted with delicious mint tea) to the fond farewell.
The style is reminiscent of 1920s and it is a beautiful setting with a lovely big pool and gorgeous roof top.
Rooms was lovely — with two sinks great for us! One slight downside was shower was in the bath — however it was a huge bath!
Breakfast was very nice with a big variety including fresh fruit, yoghurt, honey, crepes, breads and their traditional treats.
Such a lovely experience and we would definitely recommend this oasis of calm in the land of sunset.

Our experience at this riad was wonderful. The staff were incredibly kind and always attentive to every detail. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated, reflecting the traditional Moroccan style.
The pool is definitely one of the highlights – perfect for cooling off and relaxing after exploring the medina. Plus, the breakfast on the terrace was delicious.

We had a fantastic time at Demeures d'Orient Riad & Spa in Marrakech! It was close to everything, the breakfast was delicious and the service was spectacular. We wen't as a family of 4 with two kids en tow (ages 4 and 1). This is a kid friendly Riad so for any parents out there looking to go to Morocco, this is the place that I recommend to stay. Our room was clean, beautiful and it had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The pool was clean and perfect for a warm sunny day and there was a very nice rooftop with a bar and lounge chairs just in case you wanted to soak in the sun.
If you're planning on doing some tours, the pick-up spot is very close to the Riad. There is an ATM on the main street (probably less than a block away) just in case you are looking to buy souvenirs. The markets are about two blocks away so get ready for that.
Overall we loved our time there! We are looking forward to stopping by in the near future. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Really so lucky to have stayed here! Abdul with reception was incredible, as well as Bokar on night service and our kind waiter for breakfast each day (as well as Chad, the adorable riad kitty). Rooms were beautiful, hammam & massages were luxurious, pool was the perfect temperature, and the location was an oasis within the Medina but steps away from the souks. Loved our time!

Wonderful few days.
We have just returned after a 4 day stay at this beautiful Riad. Such an oasis of calm after the hustle and bustle of the city.
The staff couldn’t have done more to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Everyone so polite and friendly.
The Riad is in a convenient location, tucked away just minutes from the souk. A 10 minute walk takes you to the Secret Garden and a further 10 minutes to Jemaa Square.
This was our 3rd visit to Marrakesh and if we decide to return in the future we would definitely stay at this Riad again.

Looks like a great riad. Guess we'll never know. I apparently booked two rooms directly through their website. Never had to pay a deposit or got any sort of confirmation to the email provided. Naturally, I wanted to confirm the rooms so I'm not in Marrakech without logging. Emailed twice, called twice, and filled out the contact form on their website twice with no response. Pretty strange for an apparent "5 star hotel".

My wife and I stayed at the Demeures d’Orient Riad and Spa during our city break to Marrakech in March 2025. We were delighted to find such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay amid the bustle and noise of the city. This wonderful riad, run by three generations of the same family provides just 11 beautifully furnished and traditionally styled rooms on two levels around the central courtyard. The courtyard contains the heated swimming pool, and is also the location for breakfast and other meals to be served. A peaceful and pretty roof terrace is a fine place to relax with views across the city and towards the Atlas Mountains.
The owners and staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming, and will help with any requests or enquiries about the city or excursions. Unfortunately I was unwell for a day or so during our stay (definitely not the fault of the riad, but caused by flying with an ear problem which affected my balance! ), and the owners and staff were very concerned about my wellbeing. I was surprised to learn that they had been asking my wife regularly how I was, and when I felt better I was asked how I was feeling by everyone. Being a small establishment makes service much more personal, but I was genuinely touched by the concern for my health. It really did show that guests are valued and looked after by everyone at the riad.
My wife made use of the spa facilities whilst we were there, and had a fabulous relaxing experience, which she recommends very highly!

Every aspect of my stay here contributed to a relaxed state of mind and served to inspire the spirit. The excellent service from all the lovely and attentive staff, the incredible food that was served throughout the day, the pristine hammam and spa, and the lavish architecture and interior design all instil a Royal feeling that can truly change one’s perception on life. This riad proved a delightful place to stay in central Marrakech during a Jet2holidays city break. The exterior is unassuming but inside this is a charming small hotel with attentive and helpful staff.
We stayed in room 107 and thought it was lovely. The decor is traditional.
Breakfast is served at tables in the central courtyard, by the pool.
This riad has its own hammam and offers treatments.
It really was a fabulous place to spend time between exploring Marrakech.

This Riad is exactly what we were searching for. It’s a typical Marrakech Riad. The staff is incredible and super welcoming always helping. The rooms very clean and the breakfast was very good both Moroccan and international.

This is a real gem of a hotel. From our arrival to departure it was a lovely experience. It is will situated to walk around Marrakech really easily. The hotel itself is a stunning place to rest and relax, spotlessly clean with well appointed rooms. The breakfast sets you up for the day, and we had an excellent dinner on arrival. The staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to them and Zoe for a great stay. Lastly this is great value, it is all about looking after you and the price reflects the quality here. Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at the riad on a recommendation from family that had stayed earlier in the year. We stayed for three nights here, before continuing on to Agadir for a further 5 nights.
The riad is truly beautiful, the photos really don’t do it justice. The staff are friendly and welcoming, yet professional. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, where the breakfast was full of variety. We also ate dinner one evening, which was traditional, so fresh and beautifully cooked.
The riad is exactly what you need after a day exploring in Marrakesh. As soon as you walk through the front doors, the busyness of the city is forgotten.
Would highly recommend.

From the moment you arrive in this wonderful Oasis, situated only steps away from the sensory overload of Marrakech Medina and its Souks, you will know you made the perfect choice.
The Riad is beautiful, peaceful and carefully looked after and deigned to maintain its authenticity and Moroccan Charm.
The staff are all attentive and will help you with whatever you need, even if its walking with you to the nearest ATM.
Rooms are clean and spacious and arrival.
The breakfast was very Moroccan and just right to start the day, with lots of fruit, fresh bakery produce. Evening dinner options were perfectly cooked and delicious, whether eating on the roof terrace or by the pool.
Simply put, next time I'm in Marrakech, we will be booking back in again.

We had a great stay for a few days in Marrakech! The staff was all very helpful and polite! Please don’t hesitate to ask for any advice or to arrange services like taxi’s. We were literally taken by hand from the hotel into the taxi and onward to our destination in a Jazz Club on the other side of the Medina! All at a fair price!

We had the most amazing stay at Demeures D' Orient right in the heart of the Medina at Marrakech. We stayed at the incredible Imperial Suite and this was nothing short of majestic. The bathroom area of this suite is absolute goals. The whole architecture of the place is beautiful with marbled floors and stairways and the long corridors overlooking the beautiful pool area at the centre. We would have our breakfast and dinner here by pool and I have to say this is just an oasis of calm and peace. The evenings here by the pool are so romantic as the candles light up the area with a chandelier over the pool. The property also features a beautiful terrace to watch the beautiful Marrakech sunsets. The food and hospitality is amazing and we were made to feel right at home from the moment we stepped in.
And also the best part is being centrally located you can walk to the famous sites like the Koutoubia Mosque or the Madrasa Ben Youssef thus giving you the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration in Marrakech.
