Dar MoDa

Well, I almost never comment online my experiences but this time I could not miss it. The riad is just incredible. Perfection everywhere. The decoration is so exquisite and high end. Confort is top and you really feel blessed anywhere in the riad. From our suite up to the magnificent roof top view. Service and kindness in Marroco is always present but MoDa take it to another dimension. Mohamed and Mounaim, guys you made our stay incredible and I thank you again for this. If Marrakesh is on my way there no other place I would stay.

Riad Dar Mo’Da is truly special; one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The property itself is stunning — with a gorgeous courtyard and elegant yet comfy furnishings, and design and decor details that clearly draw on the owner’s career in the global fashion business. No detail is overlooked. It was remarkable how quiet and restful the riad was when the medina outside was hectic and bustling. But the real gem is the staff and the hospitality. It’s the kind of hospitality that feels effortless and sincere, but which clearly involves much thoughtfulness to execute. Mohamed, the manager of the property, not only made our stay at the riad exceptional and made us truly feel like VIPs the entire time — he also has impeccable taste. He helped us with restaurant and shopping recommendations, and every place he suggested was exactly to our taste. But the entire staff was also so warm and welcoming, and you got the sense they were genuinely happy to see you as you greeted them in the hallways. The daily breakfast was amazing — I will dream of the orange blossom pancakes and the homemade marmalades. I will certainly be back, and next time, I’ll take them up on their offer to learn to cook a meal in their kitchen — although I don’t think I can come close to their skill.

My friends and I were referred to Dar Mo’da and it far exceeded our expectations. Mohamed, Mo, Soulieman, Husain, Jalal and Yousef were perfect hosts, kind, helpful, genuine providing exceptional service. The hotel is stunning, an elegant and peaceful oasis, perfectly located in the center main street of the Medina. We will be back to Marrakech and this is our new home. Thank you again for your kindness, we miss you already!

We've had the most wonderful stay at Riad Dar Mo'da. The rooms and lounge areas are beautiful and clean, and feel authentic but modern. The staff has been incredibly welcoming and helpful, always welcoming us back with a mint tea, local cookies, and warm greeting. Mohamed has been especially helpful, assisting us before we even arrived with reservations and recommendations, and always a genuine smile. We highly recommend this beautiful Riad if you want be right in the heart of the Medina, walking distance to everything!

Muhammad took such good care of us. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it so much, we encouraged my sister to change her hotel in March when she plans to visit. The location was the best in the city. We were in one of the suites and highly recommend it. This stay was the highlight of our 2 week trip!

This place might be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. So clean, perfect location (right in the middle of the city, but also very quiet), beautiful rooms. Food (breakfast) was great, staff extremely helpful, and then there is Mohammed! He inforned us that the weather was not looking great for our day trip to Essouria and we should consider changing our travel plans. Mohammed rearranged it for us, then rearranged our restaurant reservations to accommodate and also found us somewhere to eat on our last night. There was nothing he did not do to make our stay even more amazing. We had an incredible stay here and would not even look anywhere else if we were to return.

My stay was exceptional. The riad is beautiful, well appointed, and immaculately clean. The same was true of my room, which was bright, charming, and had very comfortable bedding. While the facilities exceeded my expectations, the impeccable service stood out most. The staff was always warm and friendly, and Mohamed in particular was always very helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared, delicious, and beyond generous. It's not often you're as excited to get back to the hotel as you are to go see the sights, but stepping out of the bustling streets of the Medina into the tranquility of Dar Mo'da was always a highlight of my days in Marrakech.

After reading all of the amazing reviews we booked Dar Mo’da. I was worried it couldn’t live up to expectations but it exceeded them in every single way. The room was beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. Everything is perfect. For example, we arrived from the US at 7am. Mohammed had breakfast ready for us where as many places would just say to come back at check in. Mohammed booked a day trip for us to the beach. When he saw the weather was going to be rainy he reached out and suggested we change days. After we agreed he contacted the guide and made the change, as well as helped rearrange the hammam we had booked and dinners too. We had a cooking class booked on our own. Mohammed contacted the driver to make sure he was safe and knew where to pick us up. He did the same for the tour guide for the second portion of our Morocco trip. He arranged for coffee to our room at whatever time we asked. He arranged for someone to paint beautiful henna on my hands. All of the women who work there will go out of their way to make you happy. When you leave for the day and return, the towel warmer is on for you and the room is clean and tidy. Trust me — this is the most amazing place with the kindest and most gracious people working there.

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding — every detail was taken care of with genuine warmth and attention. The food was absolutely delicious!
The riad itself is stunning — every corner is thoughtfully decorated, blending traditional Moroccan design with modern comfort.
And of course, we can’t forget the legendary Mohamed! His kindness, hospitality, and sense of humor made our stay truly special. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — Dar Mo’Da is a magical place that we’ll never forget. We can’t wait to come back!

The riad is top-class in an absolutely great location. The breakfast was stellar each morning. Mohamed and his staff truly go the extra mile to accommodate you. Mohamed made the stay great.

This is truly one of the best hotel (riad) experiences we’ve ever had—anywhere. The riad itself is beautiful and quaint with only 5 rooms and an annex in the back—where we stayed. The service is over the top—beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. Mohamed, Mo, and the rest of the team went out of their way each and every day to make sure we were perfectly comfortable. I cannot praise them enough. Truly wonderful experience. The riad is a magical respite that is removed from the noise and activity but really couldn’t be any more central. Would highly recommend this hotel/riad to anyone visiting Marrakesh. Top notch!

This is the penultimate location to spend your time and money if you’re going to ball out and treat yourself to the utmost degree. Riad Dar Mo’da is the purveyor of five star service, five star quality and five star value from breakfast to the Concierge’s Mohamed, Mandan, Hussein and all of the staff. From the time my booking came through everyone was ready to help and ensure that my stay was stress-free and focused on the things that I saw and felt were most important during the time I spent in the country. I’ve had my fair share of five star hotels across the world, and Riad Dar Mo’da sets itself a top that list with other properties across the world. Because of the attention to detail of all its staff, I could not recommend to anyone any other place other than Riad Dar Mo’da.

We first stayed at Riad Dar Mo’da in 2023 and loved it so much that we returned in 2025 to celebrate my 50th birthday — and it was absolutely perfect. With 11 of us in total, we booked all five rooms in the main riad, creating a private and luxurious haven right in the heart of Marrakech.
From the moment we stepped into Riad Dar Mo’da, we were enveloped in tranquility and elegance. Nestled in the historic Mouassine quarter, just a short walk from the bustling Jamaa El Fna Square, this riad is a true gem that blends traditional Moroccan charm with modern comfort. The riad’s location is ideal — right in the centre of Marrakech, within easy walking distance of the souks, sights, and vibrant energy of the city. Yet inside, it’s peaceful and serene.
The central courtyard with its colonnades and pool is breathtaking — a peaceful retreat after a day exploring the souks. Our suite was beautifully decorated, air-conditioned, and opened onto the courtyard, making it feel both private and connected to the riad’s serene atmosphere. The rooftop terrace, complete with a plunge pool and lounging areas, offered stunning views and was perfect for unwinding at sunset.
From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — we were looked after so well that it truly felt like home. Each morning began with a long, luxurious breakfast, beautifully prepared and served with a smile. Mohammed, our host, was exceptional.

This Riad is an absolute gem in Marrakesh! From the moment of booking until we arrived at the airport to leave Marrakesh the hospitality service of Mohammed and his team was outstanding! Nothing was too much to ask, the team very helpful, polite, attentive and always with a big smile on their face. The Riad is beautifully decorated, towels and bed linen of great quality and breakfast and tea service just wonderful! I had a bad back and Mohammed made sure to have prepared an ice pack for me whenever we came back to the Riad. I forgot to bring my toothbrush, no problem, a team member was sent to the pharmacy to get one for me. Mohammed gave very good recommendations for dinner and roof top bars and has shown an excellent customer service to us. The Riad felt like our private home and we highly recommend it to other travelers!

Our stay at Riad Dar Mo’da in Marrakesh was exceptional! From the start, Mohamed made us feel so welcome and took care of every detail. We stayed in the Terrace Room— it was quiet, private, and beautifully decorated, with fresh fruit, water, and flowers each day. Everything was spotless. Breakfast was always fresh, delicious, and beautifully served with lots of options. The riad itself is peaceful and stylish, with lots of cozy spots to relax. The location is perfect—close to the souks and main sights but still quiet and tucked away. A true gem. We can’t wait to come back!

We had the pleasure of staying at Dar Mo’da for five nights. If I could give it six stars I would! The rooms were comfortable, clean and stylish. The breakfast was wonderful. The location was in the Medina, providing access to the action, but it was quiet inside. The best part, though, was the service. We’ve stayed in many luxury hotels but we’ve never had service that compares to Mohammad, Mou and the staff. Whatever we asked for they made it happen. I can’t recommend Dar Mo’da highly enough!
