I had an amazing experience at Dar Kandi. The staff was extremely nice and hospital. They were so helpful with recommendations and mappong the neighborhood. They worked with us when we needed to delay our check out and even provided us a late breakfast. I will stay there for every future visit. I want to thank the staff for all of their efforts to make our stay as excellent as it was.

We stayed at this riad in Marrakech with our family (kids aged 6 to 13) and a group of friends, and it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and full of character—every detail felt thoughtful and high-quality. The common areas were just as impressive, blending traditional Moroccan charm with modern comfort.
The food was outstanding every single day, fresh and flavorful, and the service was truly impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, always with kindness and a smile. Our kids were completely at ease, and the whole environment felt warm, safe, and welcoming.
The location is perfect—rarely in the Medina can you find a place that’s so easy to access by car, which made arrival and departures smooth and stress-free. Yet it’s also just a short walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, so you get the full experience of being right in the heart of Marrakech.
The swimming pool was a highlight for both adults and children—a serene, beautifully maintained space perfect for relaxing after exploring the city.
In short, this riad exceeded all expectations. It made our stay in Marrakech unforgettable, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone traveling with family or friends. We will definitely be coming back!

Dar Kandi is exceptional. 5++ stars. Beautiful Riad, spotlessly clean. Amazing staff and service. The Riad is well situated in the Medina with easy walking access to everything.

Wonderful riad if you are looking for a piece of tranquility amongst the hustle and bustle of Marrakech’s medina. Centrally located and within easy walking distance to everything the old town has to offer. You can also walk in about 25 minutes to the Gueliz neighbourhood with its bars and restaurants and the Majorelle garden.
Dar Kandi was a genuine luxury experience combined with incredible Moroccan hospitality. Our room was the balcony suite which we loved, but all the rooms look fantastic. Make sure you carve out some time during your Marrakech trip to relax at the rooftop pool area, it’s so tranquil and stress reducing.
The service from the staff was second to none, the breakfast was brilliant (I’m not normally a breakfast at the hotel kind of person but this was a great way to start each day before exploring Marrakech).
I would never usually stay in the same place twice as I think life is too short for repeats, but for Dar Kandi I would happily make an exception!

Absolutely exceptional. It was like you were transported to heaven. The raid is immaculate, clean, zen, oasis. Modern. One of the best places I've ever stayed in the rooftop pool is gorgeous. The rooms are decorated to an inch of their lives. The washrooms are impeccable and the service is incredible. Aouatif is a fixer in the incredible sense. Every single person who worked for her was competent, kind and on time. From Yousef, lovely Yousef, who took my family to the Atlas Mountains to Sayeed who guided us through mosques. We got into a bind all the way in Essaouira with a terrible car rental company and she actually came to the rescue and helped us, organized to get us a car. Incredible stay. Gorgeous place and such amazing service. Thank you!

Everything was absolutely perfect. I can't even begin to think of one thing that was wrong or went wrong. The pictures don't do the Riad justice. This was the highlight of my trip, after a horrible stay in the Agafay desert. The Riad always smelt so good, so good in fact I brought some of the scents to take home with me. The decorations are beautiful, and you can tell there is a lot of attention to detail. I feel like I booked the best Riad in Marrakech. AC was the absolute best. I'll miss eating breakfast in the courtyard, it was so pretty, and breakfast was always served with a smile. The chef was always putting out delicious food. I see why the rating is so high, and it's well deserved. I can't wait to come back, this will be the only stay I ever book when in Marrakesh. You can tell this Riad is well maintained and taken care of. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality.

This place a an absolute gem on the best location in Marakesh. The staff are really nice. The rooms are spacious and well designed with amazing interiors. The food on our first night when we arrived was delicious as was the breakfast every day. The roof top pool is an oasis after a day sight seeing. We had the balcony room which I would recommend as it has an amazing balcony. If we come back to marakesh we will def come back here!

Had a great stay, rooms are large and confortable especially the bed, breakfast amazing, and the service is definitely on another level as everyone was absolutely lovely and helpful. The Riad is in a nice location very close to all main attractions, but once you are in it is super calm! Would definitely advise this riad.

Excellent! We really enjoyed staying at dar kandi, location is the best to be near rue mouassine and dar el bacha district. The manager Madame Aoutifa was very nice kind and helpfull. Everybody working at the riad is very kind and professional. Breakfast is very good everything homemade a la minute. We stayed in the Cactus room, so nicely decorated and well appointed. Had a look at their Arch room also and looked truly amazing. Will be back soon!

Quiet little oasis hidden in the heart of Marrakesh. Great stay overall — room, food, service. Hammam spa was available in the hotel itself and is a great option if you don't want to seek out a dedicated hammam. We stayed in a room right off the main courtyard, so it felt like it lacked some privacy, but the room itself was beautiful and well equipped. Fairly centrally located in the Medina, but very easy to get lost and confused while navigating the tight ‘streets’. Had a bit of a conflict with the porter upon arrival to the Medina gate, but was arranged by the previous hotel and the staff at Dar Kandi helped resolve the confusion.

This is a gem in Marrakech. A short walk to the main sights but once you’re inside you feel a world away from the hustle and bustle outside. The interiors are beautiful and the staff are friendly. The roof terrace has a small pool and comfortable sun loungers. We enjoyed dinner in the courtyard and breakfast on the roof.

Wow! What a place! Dar Kandi is like a hidden oasis in the heart of the Medina. In can be found down a quiet alleyway, close to the action, but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing. You can walk to the main square in 15 mins or the popular souks in under 5 mins.
The riad itself is very traditional and decorated beautifully! It is very clean, comfortable and the staff were wonderful! From the moment we stepped in the door, we were welcomed like close family friends. We stayed in the Balcony suite which was very spacious, quiet and cosy. The bed was comfy and the shower was massive! I would certainly recommend this room and also breakfast on the balcony was a special and unique experience. The only thing we didn’t like much were the windows into shower room. They didn’t seem to provide much privacy from guests/staff opposite or downstairs. Frosted glass would be good here.
The roof terrace is definitely a bonus. You can have a beer, coffee or soft drink up here but you can only buy wine by the bottle (not sure why). The pool was cold in December so we didn’t use it, but I can imagine it being refreshing in the summer. It’s quite a small area with just a few sun-beds. Luckily we’re not the type to lie around all day (some guests were up there all the time! ). If you want a bed by the pool, get there early.
I would personally like to extend a special thank you to all the staff for arranging a birthday cake and decorations for my wife’s big day! She absolutely loved it!

I loved staying in this Riad, as soon as we entered through the doors we received a sensation of peace. The main area was beautiful, it was a great place to take pictures and the rooms was luxurious. It was stunning!
I came with a friend (girls trip). The manager made sure we were escorted by one of the staff at the taxi point safety at 5am for our excursion. They made us feel so safe.
Also the breakfast and hamam was great! The manager was so friendly and helped us organise our iteniery for the day.
The location was perfect, we were within walking distance to the souks and the main tourist attractions.
I would 100% come back and recommend others to stay here.

Very nice place to stay we felt like home, clean and romantic, very helpful and friendly staff, the manager Mrs Awatef was very friendly and helpful making all the offers to keep us happy. And they have something I never noticed it in any hotel before, they arrange and clean the room twice a day. Very lovely setting area in the rooftop with little swimming pool and mattresses for suntan. No need for car at all in this area as the nearest parking is 10 minutes walking, taxis is all over around. Any way I will never think to stay in marakesh other than this hotel.

This was absolutely a beautiful riad. Very modern in design and still embraced the culture of Morocco. I stayed in the Cactus Suite. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. I love the meeting space on the first level and the rooftop pool area. The staff is super friendly, accommodating and hospitable. The riad gave me a very upscale and cozy feel. I loved the design of the riad so much, that I spent a lot of time in my room because it was very relaxing. Breakfast was included with my accommodation. Breakfast wasn't heavy but not light either. They typically serve your choice of eggs, fruit, yogurt, coffee, orange juice and a type of sweet pastry.
Dar Kandi is in the heart of the medina. And the medina works well with Google Maps. Therefore, many places that you need to reach can be achieved within walking distance. As a warning, there are no televisions and (at times) weak Wi-Fi reception in some of the rooms. But there was always a strong Wi-Fi signal in the general meeting area. The riad provides transportation needs for a fee should you need transfer to and from the airport and other locations within the city.
The only small suggestion that I would give is to increase the lighting near the door of the suite and in the toilet area. The door to the Cactus Suite has very dim lighting. I had to always pull out the flashlight on my phone just to lock and unlock the door.

Amazing aesthetic, good sized rooms for two, however the breakfast could be better timed for guest who need to leave early. And the receptionist could really learn some manners in hospitality and learn she needs to cater to the guests and their timing and not the other way around. Overall a slight improvement in manner would make this a good place to stay.

Stylish Riad with a slightly modern twist while still keeping the Moroccan vibe. We loved the design and the rooms were comfortable with the same limitations as in any other Riad. However, I must request the management via the Tripadvisor platform that since they do not want to offer a tea/coffee maker inside the room in order to maintain the rooms better (their reason) to charge $10 for a cup of tea and coffee for 2 people, which any guest would need a couple of times in a day if staying in the hotel, is not something which comes across as the right thing to do. There are other places where they don't have this facility inside the room, but because they are premium boutique hotels, they do provide this either in the common areas or on the room service without additional charges, since there is really no option to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee while staying inside the hotel. Increase the room price if you want but do not deny standard facilities expected from places charges north of 200euro/night for stay.
