If you want to base yourself in Marrakesh and feel like you’re at home, this is the place. In the heart of the Medina, safe and walkable to most attractions. Great single rooms for a solo traveler. Bader and his staff are very gracious and passionate about hospitality. A remarkable experience not to be missed. 🌟

Dar Daoud is a beautiful traditional Riad in an excellent location just a few mins walk to the souks in Marrakesh. Bader, the manager, could not have been more helpful giving us many excellent suggestions for our stay in the area. We had a wonderful cookery lesson (best meal in Marrakesh! ), we loved the personal experience, an added bonus was seeing all the wonderful artwork throughout the Riad (by Hans Werner Geerdts). We're going home to Scotland with many happy memories of Morocco!

Perhaps the best riad we have stayed in while in Marrakech.
The staff were excellent and very helpful.
It really seemed like they genuinely care about the riad and work to keep it in great condition.
The rooms were comfortable, though not very large.
Breakfast was good.
The front door is great—super tiny, and then you walk into this big open space.

Located just a few minutes walk from the main market is a welcoming location away from home. A specialized breakfast is usually provided by the host to make you feel unique.

Dar Daoud was a great choice for an economical guesthouse. Bader, the manager, was superb in trying to satisfy every request, and even helped us with our bags to and from the main square. The breakfast was excellent, but note that the egg dishes (excellent omelettes) are not included in the price.

Dar Daoud riad checks off all the boxes! This riad is for those who want to travel in a way that immerses you into the culture while having a welcoming and clean home to go to after a day of exploring. It's conveniently located within walking distance to most attractions of the older and newer parts of the city. Bader, the manager, is very helpful and responsive. I wish I had time to sign up for one of his cooking lessons but it's definitely on my to do list for when I return to Marrakech. 😁
For solo travelers: I had the opportunity to stay with friends in the modern part of the city but I'm so glad that I chose to stay in the center of the medina instead. You can be both safe and adventurous.

Dar Daoud is a wonderful place right in the heart of the Medina. The building is very impressive. The rooms are comfy and clean. Bader is a fantastic host, very caring and considerate. Perfect place to stay in Marrakech. We unfortunately stayed there when the earthquake happened but the place was very safe and secure.

I stayed two times — with a desert trip sandwiched in between — and enjoyed both visits. The manager, Bader, is a very kind and helpful man. I would definitely opt for the room with the private bathroom. The beds are comfortable, it is quiet in the evenings, plenty of hot water and breakfast is good.

Great place inside the Medina, few steps away from main square and the Souks. Bader is a great host, he arranged the transport from airport, gave us advices on restaurants and places to visit and tips to avoid tourist traps. Breakfast is great and freshly homemade everyday.

Bader was an amazing host! Since the beginning he answered the text messages and helped me to get to the riad. He was extremely polite and thoughtfull about my stay. He spoke English perfectly and always had some hints to give about places to go. I recommend that you ask him abou places in Marraquech. The riad was very clean and confortable, a great shower. In all, an amazing experience that I totally recommend!

Dar Daoud is a sweet little riad about a 5 minute walk from Jamaa El Fna. We spent 3 nights here and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Bader is an amazing host and made us feel at home. The Riad is quiet, well decorated and overall charming! The breakfasts are delicious and healthy. Great location next to the Souks, tucked away among the alleys. The roof terrace is gorgeous. Great value — we would stay here again!

Small and ver nice little Riad in the middle of the medina. Very kind and helpful staff. We wish we could have stayed much longer there, but we will come back :)
