The interior design was beautiful with traditional lamps and throws etc. Breakfast on the roof terrace was gorgeous and included Msemmen, baghir, sometimes fruit and yogurt or one of the two, honey, jam, marmalade and cocoa powder. It was easy to locate and location was central in the medina.
The room itself although pretty had a few issue like hot water only lasted 5 minutes, the tap was so loose you had to hold it down to turn it on to wash your hands, the bed was very uncomfortable and the extractor fan was broken so the room, without windows that can be opened, was very damp so our towels wouldn't dry. At first there wasn't anywhere to put our clothes and on our 3rd or 4th day a chest of drawers was put into the room.
The location was very central with everything around you although tricky to move through the medina at night sometimes.
Pretty riad, really lovely breakfast spread with Moroccan breads and spreads that you get to eat on beautiful terrace roof. Traditional Moroccan design everywhere. Beds aren’t that comfy, some silly loose fittings like a tap that moves around quite a lot. Hot water runs out quite quickly! Value is really good compared to everywhere around the area as the location is brilliant and ideal for those visiting Marrakesh.

Riad Dantella won me over from the moment I arrived. Valérie's warm welcome with a cold bottle of water and despite being French-speaking only, she made every effort to communicate and even helped arrange a taxi without hesitation. That kind of hospitality sets the tone. Hayate, the staff, deserves a special mention. Her smile every single morning made my day start right. Breakfast was never the same twice — a lovely thoughtful touch that felt personal rather than routine.
The location is unbeatable. Everything in the medina is within walking distance. You step outside and you're already in the heart of it all.
My room was on the lobby floor, which initially made me worry about noise — but it was surprisingly quiet at night throughout my stay. The room itself is compact, but as a solo traveller I had everything I needed.
If you're travelling solo and want an authentic riad experience with genuinely kind staff rather than a polished but impersonal hotel, Riad Dantella is the one. I'd come back without hesitation.
