We spent the most wonderful 5 days at the Riad Farnatchi. The staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was ever a problem and we were really well looked after. Our suite was so comfortable, we loved having our own terrace.
I really can't recommend this place enough!

A beautiful, tranquil escape in the hustle and bustle of old town Marrakech. The staff exceed all expectations with their courteous and polite service, extending offers to meet the most extreme requests (including searching your room after hearing “suspicious” noises! ). The most professional and attentive service in the business. A+ would return in a heartbeat!

Whilst the building, the rooms and the staff are 5 star the smell of woodfire burning on an empty stomach detracts points. The food is a must-try. Briouattes and Pastilla to perfection, with lunch and dinner options to stay a night for. The decor and amenities are top notch, staff pleasant and location smack in the Medina.

Great place to stay. Restaurant across the way has English comfort food on top of Moroccan cuisine.

Simply incredible. Excellent service. Beautiful rooms. Amazing spa. Luxurious riads, one with a pool, another with a beautiful orangery. Stay.

Professional people abit pricey but worth every dirham, really enjoyed it and relaxed, 6 of us done hammam and one of us did massage, both were as good as both. And the people are very friendly.

Riad Farnatchi is a haven of peace, good taste and comfort in the medina of Marrakech, but I think the top prize must go to the friendly & very helpful staff. The spa is a great addition to the hotel and I look forward to trying the restaurant when it opens.

We are a family of 4 and we were referred by our Riad that it is close by to go here for the hammam. Nice experience. They speak english and french. They also take credit card as form of payment.
We took the hammam for 60mins and paid around 550 per person. Massage is on a separate charge.

Brilliant Riad, the staff are some of the best I have encountered, so willing to help and nothing is too much trouble! This Riad is very beautiful inside and well worth staying at. We traveled in winter and the rooms were very warm unlike another Riad that we visited during our stay in Marrakech.

Stunning Riad in a fantastic location. You are right in the heart of the medina and a stones trow from the souks and some of the most interesting things to do and see. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We had an amazing stay at Riad Farnatchi. The Riad is tucked away and is a peaceful oasis set in the heart of the bustling medina. We felt miles away in the Riad while only being 5 minute walk from souks and about 15 minutes’ walk from the main square. The staff were wonderful. Friendly and attentive but not intrusive. They were great with recommendations for places to eat/shop/visit and helped us organise a day trek with a guide in the Atlas Mountains. A very special place, I couldn’t recommend more highly.

I have now been fortunate enough to visit Marrakech some five or six times and seen most of the riads in Marrakech in all shapes and sizes. I can quite honestly say that Riad Farnatchi is my favourite and I will tell you why. Firstly, it is run by James Wix who seems to know what you want before you have thought about it, he is simply the perfect host. Secondly, the riad perfectly blends the traditional Moroccan architecture and design with bang up to date modern touches. Some riads seem to be overly 'modern' and 'chic' so you end up not realising you are in Morocco, and some are just too Moroccan, dark and imposing — Farnatchi gets the balance absolutely spot on. Thirdly, the food and breakfasts here are lovely — especially from your own roof terrace or balcony. James is also a master at creating unique experiences — from simple days in the souks, to helicopters into the heart of the Sahara. I must also point out it is a superb place for an exclusive house-party (James Wix used to work in events) — think of having all of this to yourself and your friends and family? Add all this together, and your humble riad inspector must say that this is the place Scott Dunn staff want to stay at — because we have seen them all and find Farnatchi almost perfect. You will not be disappointed.
