Riad Nirvana

We stayed two nights. The Riad is owned and run by Jean Pierre and Anna. They personally welcome each guest and spend time initially to understand your needs and interests. You are provided with keys to come and go as you please.
The Riad is located on one of the oldest parts of Marakesh bordering the Saadian Tombs, the Casbah area and the Jewish area. We walked everywhere except for Le Jardin de Majorelle. We were able to walk and complete our tour within 4-5 hours. The main square is only 15 min walk.
Rooms are nicely laid out and are spacious and clean. The bathroom is large although it takes a while for the hot water to flow. Its location meant that it was a great place to come back to to relax before going out again.
The hosts are most obliging. We had to leave early and Jean Pierree was most obliging in personally serving our Breakfast early.

Fantastic riad, amazing location in a safe part of the medina, beautiful rooms and accommodating service. The most wonderful breakfast provided. Thank you so much for making our stay in Marrakesh so pleasant!

We have just returned from a four day trip staying at the Riad Nirvana. We booked it on a recommendation from friends who had previously stayed. Soooo happy we did as we loved it from the moment we arrived. The location of the Riad is perfectly placed with easy walking access to sites of interest. Despite this it is quietly positioned and is a true oasis in the buzzy busy city.
The Riad is traditionally and tastefully decorated with a calm welcoming feel. The roof top terrace provides a beautiful outdoor space surrounded by well tended plants. Our room was very comfortable, quiet with air conditioning and traditional decoration.
Jean Pierre and Anna are the best hosts anyone could ask for, they are so perfect in supporting you, giving guidance on trips and sites of interest without being overbearing, going above (and beyond) to ensure your stay is perfect. They are fascinating people with such attention to detail it is impressive.
We also booked a meal in the Riad for my birthday which was just perfect, it made my evening very special…. With a candle to blow out and serenaded with a ‘Happy Birthday’ song.
We also did a fabulous day trip to the Atlas Mountains which we really enjoyed.
In summary we thoroughly recommend the Riad Nirvana. Book well ahead as I think the secret to its charm and hospitality is now well known.

Staying at Riad Nirvana was one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone’s beautiful, thoughtfully kept home. 😊
The breakfasts were a daily delight – freshly cut fruits, eggs made to order, and a flexibility in timing that’s rare to find. No rush, no pressure – just a peaceful start to the day, often accompanied by a warm chat with the friendly owners who genuinely enjoy connecting with their guests.
The hospitality here is next-level. Room service was quietly exceptional: clothes were neatly folded, wet laundry dried without asking, and fresh flowers added a sweet personal touch to the room. Complimentary bottled water was always available, and the team went out of their way to make us feel cared for. When we lost our luggage from our connection flight, the owners not only offered support but actually helped track it down – a kindness I won’t forget.
The location is ideal – central but peaceful, with a beautiful rooftop terrace that offers a quiet escape from the buzz of the souks. The overall environment is serene and elegant, with a lovely courtyard fountain and impeccable cleanliness throughout.
In every way, Riad Nirvana feels like a home away from home – warm, welcoming, and truly unforgettable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech. Thank you, Riad Nirvana!

I stayed here for three nights in January with a friend, and we absolutely loved it. The place was spotless and had the cosy feel of being in someone’s home, combined with the luxury touches of a hotel. The rooms were clean, comfy, and really nicely decorated. The riad felt very safe, and we liked the location—it’s only a 10-minute walk to the square but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing.
Breakfast was amazing, with mint tea, coffee, homemade pancakes, eggs, fresh bread, and a great selection of spreads like local honey and jam. A special shoutout to Aziz, who was running things while the owners were away. He was so welcoming, helped us sort taxis to and from the airport, and gave us some brilliant recommendations and advice. An absolute gem!

It was a wonderful experience in this Riad. Jean-Pierre was very helpfully! The breakfast was very tasty en very fresh! I didn’t had any problems or complaints. Just everything was top! We will come back!

I had a lovely stay at this cozy Riad in a bit more quiet corner of Marrakesh.
I stayed in two rooms, one of which was newly renovated to be a room for solo travelers. The solo traveling room featured a single bed and private bathroom (with a Japanese style toilet! ).
The rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained.
But for me one of the highlights are the host Anna and Jean-Pierre. They are very helpful and an absolute delight to talk to over a tea. As a solo traveler I had breakfast every morning with Jean-Pierre (the breakfast here is also a treat, so don’t miss out! ).
All in all I felt very welcomed at this Riad, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if given the chance!

Riad nirvana is my home away from home! thank you jp and anna for the warm hospitality, I had a comfortable and pleasant stay that I went back to stay with them for the second leg of my trip after a bad encounter at another hotel in marrakech. I also caught a stomach flu halfway and they were really nice about it, even offering me meds and sparkling water to feel better. Its a great option for solo travellers and huge families, location is strategic, its not that near to jema elfna but a good 10-15 min stroll and u’ll be there in no time!

Riad Nirvana was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakesh. It’s in the heart of the Kasbah, just a five-minute walk from a palace and the Medina by the Kasbah Mosque, so it's perfect if you want to experience staying in that historic part of the city.
What really stood out were the hosts, Jean-Pierre and Anna. They were genuinely lovely and seemed to take the time to understand what you wanted from your stay. They were attentive without being overbearing, and you really do feel like part of the family, which is surprising considering we were only there for seven days. This was our first time staying in a riad, and their warmth made the experience even better.
The riad itself is beautiful. It’s designed in a way that works for all kinds of guests. When we stayed, there were couples, families, and just me and my sister, and it felt like everyone had their space. The courtyard is stunning, with tiles, plants, canaries, and a fountain – just a lovely spot to relax. The terrace upstairs has plenty of places to lounge too.
Our room was great—really comfortable, with everything we needed, and more than we expected. But honestly, the breakfasts were my favourite part. There were different types of homemade pancakes, breads, jams, and hands down the best coffee I've ever had. It was such a good spread every morning.
They’re well-connected with local travel agencies, so booking excursions was easy.

Our stay at the Riad was a magical experience that exceeded all our expectations. We left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and incredibly grateful for the memories we had created. To Jean-Pierre, Anna, Assis, and the entire team, we extend our heartfelt thanks for a truly unforgettable stay. We can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise. The mostly I like the Riad itself, which is a masterpiece of marrocan architecture and is located in a good area of Medina quiter, cleaner, and feel safe all the time.

I had a wonderful stay at Riad Nirvana. The Riad is beautiful, full of art and is a very peaceful place to stay. The area is also really nice and quiet and felt safe to walk around as a solo traveller. The owners couldn't have been more helpful with information and food. They went to great lengths to provide me a gluten free breakfast and a delicious lamb tagine in the evening (working around various food allergies). The rooftop garden was peaceful and a lovely place to spend time.

A wonderful riad in the Medina, but far from the crowest street. Located close to the Saadian Tombs and the breathtaking Musée des Arts Parure, the Riad Nirvana is an authentic house to feel at at home even you are far away from yours. My room was spacious and clean. Aziz will host you as a friend. Follow his suggestions and enjoy his warm hospitality!

From the moment we landed in Marrakech, we felt like we were home. JP and Anna took such wonderful care of us, I felt like they were my parents :) They made arrangements for airport transfers, pointed out locations on the local map they provided, walked us to a certain area, even provided an ice pack to my husband when we returned from our Toubkal trek, and arranged for massages. The riad was absolutely stunning, and provided such a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, when needed. The location is perfect, minutes walk to all the action. I felt 100% safe at all times. And the BREAKFASTS were outstanding!

We had two night’s stay, at the beginning and end of our trip to the Atlas Mountains and the Erg Chebi desert.
Jean-Pierre and Anna were incredibly helpful and gave us a with a warm welcome. The Riad is in a good location for exploring Marrakesh and the property is beautifully designed. We had a comfortable nights sleep.
Would return, highly recommended.
