Riad Basim

Staying in Kasbah was a really nice experience, out of the crowded Medina, authentic and local part of the city. On the way to the riad, it was possible to assist the daily Moroccan' routine.
Close to Badi Palace, Mellah and Tombs.
The room had a huge bed and a wide bathroom, the staff cleaned our room every day.
Amazing terrace where we had our breakfast.
All the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful, all of them ensured we felt like at home!

Through the riad we also booked an airport transfer and a day trip to Essaouira!

This property is not only beautiful, but the team here is also exceptionally welcoming. It boasts a great location and maintains a high standard of cleanliness. Overall, a wonderful experience.

This is absolutely the best place in Marrakesh. Just enough located outside of the extremely touristy city centre, however, just a 10 minute walk. The owners are super nice intelligent, entrepreneurial women, with a good amount of humor. Also the staff is extremely friendly. We are thankful for the stay and making us arrive gently in the busy but oh so beautiful Marrakesh. Thank you so much 🙏🏼. Oh and on top of that, the breakfast is also great, with a royal amount of food. This picture is btw from the rooftop.

We arrived at 3am, host met our driver and walked us through the empty pedestrian only streets, served us their mint tea and gave us a tour. We were the only people staying there for 2 of our 3 nights, which was nice but a bit awkward for our private meals. The host spoke mostly French and Arabic, no English at all. We had a very hard time conversing about the simple things like what time we wanted breakfast or dinner or where we wanted it served. We also had an issue with our safe and couldn't communicate. All of our drivers and guides and other people we came in contact with knew at least a little English or tried. The room was pretty and air conditioned (thank goodness even in November), and it was very very almost eerily quiet. The fresh flowers and petals and water was a very nice touch. Probably more for a couple than other travelers. The rooftop was nice for our one dinner but again, awkward.

The Marrakech experience already starts with the way that brings you to this fantastic place: We followed our guide through a labyrinth of narrow streets, a corner and another corner, people walking and greeting, children playing in the streets and all of a sudden we arrive at Riad Basim. It is in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance from different places of interest. We felt immediately at home, the whole team led by our host Sylvia gave us a warm welcome and cared for us during the whole week. Every single morning we started with a sumptuous breakfast on the roof terrace. Freshly brewed tea every time we returned to the Riad allowed for a short relaxing break to let sink in all the impressions from our different excursions. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We were three couples and had a fantastic week.

The place is ideally located and you can reach the best spots in Marrakech very quickly. Directly when you arrive you feel a very pleasant atmosphere. It is very calm, peaceful. The staff and the owners will do everything to make you feel comfortable, offer excellent service and give great tips. The cook is amazing! We had great breakfast, and diner on the terrace with the sunset. The place is very clean and calm. The rooms are big, very well decorated and comfortable.
I strongly recommend it!

Top adress in Marrakesh. The owner of the Riad Basim — Sylvia Zhiba knows every intersting place in Marrakesh and also in the dessert. Downtown — Kaspa casled — we had unforgettable traditionell arabic Hamman (get washed be young gals) and afterwards Sheherezade Massage, excellente tradiditonell Food, accompland with most beautiful Bellydancer (with fair hair) I ever saw. In the Markets — Souks called — you can find everything of your desire Spice, perfum, medical drugs for good health, etc. Marrakesh is a very awsome place with much fun, bid adventures and a lot of unique palces. Peoples are very friendly, espcially Silvya Zhiba — Syylvia speaks german as good as, french, english and arabic!
