Very disappointing stay.
We were overall very dissatisfied with our stay. The check-in took place 3.5 hours after the official check-in time. We were repeatedly told to wait, and even at 6:30 pm we were asked to “wait another ten minutes. ” There is a café located directly next to the reception desk – the least the hotel could have done was offer us a complimentary coffee for the long wait. For a hotel in this price range, this should be standard.
At check-out, we again had to wait for a long time. What was especially frustrating was that guests were not served in the order they arrived: three people who arrived after us were helped before us. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this category.
On the positive side, the rooms were clean, and some English was spoken at the reception. However, the windows could not be opened, the parking area is very small, and a sticker placed on the car key was difficult to remove and left residue, which was unnecessarily annoying.
Overall, the service does not match the price level at all. Next time, we will definitely choose a different hotel in Orizaba.
