I arrived at the Hotel after having booked 5 months in advance and having paid in advance and had no room and they put in another Hotel that, although it was fine, it was not what we wanted and was in a much worse area where you have to take the car for everything, we claimed and no case. Verena the Sales Dtora or answer the messages. This is not done and less now with the doubts of traveling that we all have. Let's go some "unpresentable"

Super friendly hotel staff! Apart from the location, pool, super comfortable bed, and a terrace with views to get lost❤️❤️❤️

the dishes of the best and CHIMERA with mezcal. Riquisima… the view of the sea… more areas reserved only for guests make the afternoon more than special… you always want to come back once again.

The treatments and ceremonies of the Spa, it is quite an experience, to discover how powerful it is to feel how we can reconnect with everything that exists!

I visited the hotel while I was in tulum to try their restaurant Minia for breakfast. As I was enjoying my breakfast. I saw the hotel staff starting to screaming at the hotel guest. The guest & the manager went at it in front of the lobby. It ruin my Breakfast. What ever happens it was not right that the hotel staff argue and scream with the guest in front of everyone. The guest & the hotel behavior was uncalled for. If I was the hotel I would have just let the guest have their way because they were on vacation & did not need the stress while on vacation. Very bad call.

This hotel photos are misleading! The beach is gross & next on the main driving strip super loud. The hotel as no phone if you want to something you walk to the front to ask! The Wi-Fi is horrible — poor poor connection. But I’m gonna save the best for last! The AC did NOT work at the penthouse? I paid $600 to stay in a room with no AC! It’s was over 110 degrees in the room — I had to surrender and open the doors to let air. The room has no screen so the MOSQUITOES came in and ATE ME ALIVE! ZIKA VIRUS HEAR I COME! When I complain to the front desk going back and forth the owner came out and told me to GET OUT FOR COMPLIANING? We were checking out. She told me to stop talking & leave. Replying I don’t care! It’s normal the AC break everywhere. The front secrurty guard hear is going back and fort. He decide to do something about it by throwing a rock at our rental? And dent the car? This is a hotel ran by hostel people who just want your money — not your anything else.

This place was horrible — let’s start with the over priced room, beach was very dirty, the rooms were in poor condition. We upgraded to the penthouse for $450 per night — the AC broke, had 1 security guy came and couldn’t fix it (no actual technician) They said they would comp for atleast the breakfast — but when the bill came — they only took of two eggs. As we talked about the bill for the room with the manager- The owner came and got into my wife’s face and shoved her n saying that’s they don’t want our business because we were uneducated. They had the security get into my wife’s face when I seen it and got into the security’s face and the owner jumped and shoved me. They had the bellhop throw a bolder under my car n we ended up running over it without knowing what they has done. Then the whole family came out and harrased my wife and I — I offer to talk it out but the owner continue to call us uneducated Americans and continue to verbally abused my wife. I was a C hair from beating the security up and he finally realized that his boss/ owner was wrong offer us to leave. My wife and I have travelled all over the world and stayed at the very high end location without a single incident. This is the first and only time we have had to defend our life on vacation. As for the hotel itself: dirty beach with trash and a lot of seaweed on beach — not swimmable. They had a bold dozer removing trash and seeweed clear out the mess as people’s layed around to sundbathe.

Loved my stay at Maria Del Mar, the reception guys are so friendly and helpful, specially Ezekiel, guy is so cheerful. The views were stunning, and the stay was very comfortable. Food and drinks are a bit pricey but as is most places in Tulum that are of note.

Worst service ever. Really bad. Don't waste your money in this overcost "Hotel"

Not recommended. A really bad customer service. I've never received such rude treatment anywhere in the world. Especially on the part of Verena and Francesca Pesaresi.
Definitely a nightmare dealing with those people. A pity for Tulum tourism.

Nice service spend the day in the lounge chairs the Pkaya mala is better the beach public but to relax is well with a beautiful pool.

Beautiful place. The beach is set in a little crique and the view point from the deck is simply stunning. The bar and restaurant is relaxed with good service.

I stayed at Maria del Mair's sister hotel in Tulum town, and used the beach club multiple days. The beach is beautiful, chairs and loungers are comfortable and parking is free. Drinks were expensive but delicious, and bathrooms were nice and clean. Loved it!

This hotel is gorgeous! Amazing view, beautiful beach. We only went to the restaurant downstairs which was incredibly delicious but the service was the slowest I've ever experienced in my life.

Restaurant, good atmosphere and decor. Good seasoning except empanadas. Good portions a little expensive.

Overall I will not recommended this hotel for the price that it charges. Key reasons 1) the beach is not private. It is shared between 2-3 other hotel and restaurant. Plus the beach is rocky, and it is not advisable to take a dip. 2) the pool is small. (Basically useless) 3) in the name of eco-friendlyness they don't provide a TV, phone or even tea coffee facility in the room.

It was enough one night to love the "infinity" of the Maria del Mar, the view from up there is fantastic and the impeccable welcome! 10 for all the staff! We hope to return soon!

Stayed here at the Amo Master Suite for Lisa’s 30th Birthday. Beautiful location. The beaches here are not as wide and flat as the ones further south but it was a really nice room with extra private patio space.

Rooms can't handle sustained rain (leaked in constantly) and wasn't worth the price. Although I may have changed my attitude had it not rained the entire time I was there. Staff and attached restaurant are great however!

A beautiful spot in a very busy resort road, but with prime placement close to Tulum. Beach access is very limited, and without a reef you're subject to a lot of weeds, but a beautiful pool and great views of the ocean. Restaurant is good, but pricey, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a kid free zone, which is wonderful, so it tends to be sort of a couples hotel, just FYI.

It's like a piece of heaven on earth.

I stayed at Maria Del Mar for 3 days. Our hotel was very peaceful, relaxing and fun. The staff was great all around. They even set up rose pedals on our bed for me and my girlfriends anniversary. Loved the pool and the top part which has beds, chairs and a sofa looking over the beach. The location is perfect being so close to many different restaurants. We loved our stay, thank you!

June 27th 2017. I was just driving by and we decided to take a look. Eziekiel greeted us and gave us a tour. He showed us the rooms that were available and we decided to stay. Place is gorgeous! When your staying at Tulum on the beach all along the ocean, your not here for tv, phones, and other amenities like a refrigerator. All these hotels have to ship there water in for the showers and sinks, plus it uses generators to power everything. Your off the grid in style. Your staying like you should be staying on a romantic beach. Adults only! If you need a TV stay in Cancun or at home. Perfect for couples and newlyweds And the staff was incredible. They treated us like kings. Plus everyone at tulum were the greatest. Thank you Maria Del Mar for making our stay perfect.

Great place to enjoy the nature.

We were offered free beach access here by a different hotel we were staying at. Their access is not right on the beach but right above another hotel's beach access. Still quite convenient to a nice little beach in a cove. Friendly service but very expensive. I would not have paid $50 for lunch in the US but somehow I did at this restaurant for portions that do not match the price. All of these beach hotels seem to justify it because the other hotels do it. Would be nice to see one of them be reasonable and fair to the customers. Nonetheless, we appreciated the nice beach access. I wish they had the umbrella tables up on their part of the beach though.

They gave me and my fiancé the most special weekend of our lives. It's impossible for me to communicate how much I appreciate everything the staff did for us during our stay. They went above and beyond setting up the perfect dinner for my proposal. The rooms are great. The pool is great. The cocktails are great. The beach is gorgeous. The staff is second to none. Stay here and enjoy the music on the weekend.
