Showers only with salt water and the beach is pretty much unusable thanks to the algae. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, but due to book a room with air conditioning.

Such an amazing beach resort, the pool access is approx 2 3 resorts away. Its great value for money. Mario offered sensational service but the rest was fairly average, but we found that was the case in most places I mexixo. Would certainly go back.

Coco Tulum was exactly what we needed for our 1 year anniversary trip. Cabin 43, with direct access to the beach, was absolutely exquisite and as homey as anybody could ask for. The attention was always top notch, and it's perfectly located in the middle of the entertainment district.

I'd give this hotel negative stars if I could. If you're just going to enjoy the beach bar — — fine, but don't waste your time, money, or sanity staying here. I've never had such a terrible experience with a hotel. They are beyond unprofessional. Their receptionists don't know what they're doing and mischarged us on two separate occasions. We didn't find out until we got home and a week later I got a massive charge from them with no explanation. When I reached out, they first lied about it and said they had contacted me numerous times about the charge and I never responded. When I demanded evidence because I had no missed calls or emails, they eventually admitted they hadn't reached out to me and that they had messed up badly on their end, but begged me not to ask for a refund because if they refunded me they would have to take it from the receptionist that messed up's salary… so suddenly I was the bad guy for their errors. They gave me the run around for over a week before finally coming back with a flat out "No. " I have all of the files that show this was their error and it's so annoying that instead of just doing the right thing, I have to open a claim with my bank to force them into refunding me. Don't waste your time, people. You may think you're getting a deal, but it's because they're so sloppy that you have no idea what you'll end up paying. Not worth it.

Everyone comes here for the swings at the bar so don't miss out. Super chic and great for people watching. Beach is okay compared to other beaches up and down the coast; this one is a little murky with seaweed.

Nice but pricey place on the beach. Very fine architecture and design. Food and drinks were good. Attention and service was excellent. Good Wi-Fi.

We stayed here for three nights and were fairly happy with our stay. We had the best room with a good view. The room itself was nice, but for the amount we had paid for the room we expected a bit more. No TV on the room and no coffee machine. The coffee machine was a huge letdown, it’s just small things like that that make a good stay. No breakfast either.

Nice but not as nice as the website pictures, and no vibe Place is decorated with taste, white sand at your feet and trees over your head, but really small, so unless you are in the front row (can be really windy down there) or up on the 2nd (where we were) or 3rd floor, the rooms are jammed with no view except the neighboured room. Shared bathroom is clean and convenient. Very poor Wi-Fi (even for basic use). Staff at reception or beach club is efficient but no ambiance, no vibe, just efficient get-it-done service.

I was so looking forward to visit this hotel, but the experience I had there was extremely disappointing. First the of all, this hotel is not save. We had stranger banging on our door at midnight for 30min and saying nasty things. We called the front desk but nobody answered, so we had to call the police. After police came, the hotel staff tried to cover things up said it was a guest next door and never showed us the security camera's footage. It was a terrifying experience, after that we simply could not go back to sleep. Second, the lady at front desk tried to rip us off. We were going to Cancun and the taxi that front desk lady called was US$150. That was ridiculous, we hailed a taxi ourself and the taxi driver only asked for US$70. The price front desk gave us was more than twice than the price the taxi driver gave us. I wonder how much commission she would get. The room was OK. It was dark and poorly lit. Water from sink and shower was salt water, it seemed they did not treat the water at all, so we had to use bottle water to brush out teeth. For a hotel cost US$270 a night, I was expect way more than that, better security, nicer staffs, better water treatment. Overall, this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed. Just try to steer clear of this hotel.

We only used their sunbeds and ordered food and drinks from their beach bar. They do have a minimum charge of 400peso per person. And they add service charge to the bill as well. So a minimum of 1000peso for a couple. But we did have a nice day at the beach, they make good drinks and OK food. This is a beautiful place and I would recommend it if only to take pictures.

I have come to the beach club and I love it, I have never stayed at the hotel but the service is good and there is good atmosphere on the beach.

We had drinks on the beach bar area. Very hip spot. Good music and drinks. As for drinks they are as expected for Tulum. Around 10$ — $20 US.

This is the perfect vacation destination. The rooms are nice, clean, and have a breathtaking view to the ocean. The staff was extremely friendly; I’d like to add a special recognition to Ale, who went above and beyond! She was exceptional! She received us warmly and made us feel at home. Always willing to help since day one, all the way throughout our stay. Ale helped us put together great intineraries including bike rental, visit to the ruins, beach club, and more. Amazing experience! Additionally, she helped us arrange our transportation to Cozumel. I highly recommend staying at Coco Tulum. We will definitely visit again next year!

Great food, views and staff. Music and sometime a DJ made for a cool vibe. Negatives were the drink prices ($15) for a featured drink from their menu making it an expensive day at the beach. If you are ok with LA/NYC pricing this is the spot to visit.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel for great value. For the first time ever we went for option of shared bathrooms and it was great, super clean and quite beautiful interior! Room itsself — its nice but watch out NO AC — meaning, even in September, it was impossible to sleep in — too hot and humid in the night. Even though we had a fan, and kept the door open all night, it was still impossible to fall asleep.

We spend 5 nights in a ocean view cabin which was amazing. Super friendly staff and place is brilliant. 10 min walk to all the nice restaurants and beach bars. Definitely would love to come back.

So the people were amazing and service was awesome! Chapa at the bar was our favorite and the vibe of the place was fantastic! It was really beautiful and I enjoyed myself! The room was ok. The bed sucked and the fact that the a/c isn't available at all times did get unbearably hot! I found myself under a cold shower a lot! Next time we will ask for a bigger room and maybe stay in the tower or something to avoid getting eaten alive by mosquitos! Overall great place!

I am a regular at the place and hace to say that I love the beach club. Highly recommend it. It's a bit expensive but worth the view and vibe of the place.

Is a food option as a hotel and beach club as well. About the menu, they dont have many options but tacos are good. Great ambiance. Not local.

Just amazing! Incredible service, all very kind. Big thank to Israel and the girl at the reception, Ricardo at the bar, the guy who made us an amazing pizza at 11pm … and all the staff. Really recommend this place. Rooms, view, food… everything perfect!

Really, really pretty and affordable place to stay. Beach is kept clean, rooms are nice, although they could do with a mini fridge and some citronella candles. This place has the best mix of affordability and great decor. Hard to beat. Staff are always happy to assist you with any of your needs. They've just recently updated their bar as well, which is a must on a Sunday afternoon during high season.

Beautiful bungalow on the beach. Main door wouldn't lock. Took the maintenance guy several times to fix. Location is great!

I can only rate the beach bar, as I wasn't staying at the hotel as a guest. The place is absolutely idyllic. Beautiful white wood with turquoise accents and swings for seats around the bar. Prices are obviously a bit more expensive than downtown but the cocktails are delicious and the views of the beach make it totally and completely worth it. Issac was so wonderful and friendly as well as the other two behind the bar. We never wanted to leave! The only thing was we wish they would stay open past 6pm so we could be there all night xx.

A robust cheaper option for beachfront accommodation in Tulum. Well located and service friendly. Hotel has a spa, beach bar and relaxed eco chic vibe. I'd say what lets this place down slightly is the finish in the rooms — cheap curtains, old sliding glass doors which could do to be updated, no A/C. But all round it's a decent choice.

Beach was nice, but that's Tulum. Chairs were uncomfortable and not too much shade available.

Book with a travel agent or go elsewhere! If you book direct they chose the currency themselves and are completely stubborn and criminal when it comes to cancellation even in case of public health hazard.

Small but nicely appointed rooms set directly into the sand. Friendly staff and great location near a lot of the beach restaurants and a few relaxed bars. Decent pizza place onsite.

Its Jvanita Diavola restaurant pizzas are very rich but the attitude of one of their waiters mocking that my husband and I are "chilangos" was fatal. People from Mexico City to refrain from going to a place where are going to disrespect.
