I highly recommend this resort. I truly enjoyed my stay here in Tulum. The food is fresh and organic, my casita was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and located just steps away from the beach. The staff is very gracious, patient, and accommodating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent location, friendly treatment, very delicious food and quite a portion has a pool and jacuzzi in case you do not want to go to the sea or enjoy both in the day you breathe an air of peace and tranquility also excellent to go with children.

We had an amazing yoga retreat here! Amazing food that was local and very healthy. The overall vibe of Amansala gave us a safe space to relax and enjoy what Tulum has to offer. Yolanda Domazet went way above and beyond to give our group authentic experiences! We had a magical Mayan clay ceremony in the mangroves and also had an amazing time in the cenotes. She is very knowledgeable about the culture in Tulum! Also a shoutout to Antionette Lisa and C. Pryce who was in charge of getting content of our group: doing yoga, working out on the beach, and the Mayan clay ceremony! If you love dogs, Carlo Gamiochipi will be seen walking around 5 dogs at a time on the beach! He will always check in on your stay and make you feel at home. Also he is a good workout partner (same with C. Pryce! ) the clean water provided daily is an absolute gift to make sure you are Hydrating responsibly:) If you want your life changed, go ahead and book yourself a stay at Amansala! 🤍🤍🤍 PS: all the negative reviews about the AC: please disregard! This is an ECO-sheek resort! The whole concept is to be sustainable and save the planet! 😘✌🏼🌎the AC is off during the day but you are out and about and never really back in your room except to change clothes for your next adventure! The sea breeze is plenty enough to cool you down!

The staff are so kind, the food is lovely, the drink menu is outstanding. The only thing I have as a negative is that it’s a quiet-oriented evening place where we couldn’t even respectfully play some deep house music on my laptop speakers inside the room without the upstairs calling a security guard to tell us to turn it down at 10pm.

Good atmosphere and excellent attention.

We did not stay at the hotel but took advantage of the Beach Club. It was nice to have a beach bed near the water and their menu had several GF VG and DF options. Staff were attentive and the ocean view and pool are fantastic.

Rich food the very quiet environment, super-attentive! The pool and jacuzzi were great for my kids! ⭐️

My home away from home … have been staying at Amansala Tulum sooo many times now and for my daughter and I it is def the perfect amazing beautiful place to stay when in Tulum … I love the professional staff members each one of them … the entire team just lifts you up when there … totally recommend Amansala Tulum.

Really disappointed. Bad (rude) service. Tiny, dark, stuffy room… nice beach and pool area, but I never felt respected as a person paying to stay at the property. I was uncomfortable and unhappy throughout my stay because employees would literally question me about why I was where I was. As if I was some unexpected visitor, as opposed to a paying guest. And it’s LOUD. I wasn’t part of the bikini boot camp, but then again I was, because all I heard were the classes happening with music and yelling on microphones. Meanwhile when I was walked to the Chica property they’re selling it to me as a more relaxing and quiet place to be. Lol. No. I would never return and would dissuade anyone from doing so if they value good service and their hard earned money. Oh, and they don’t even have locks on the room doors and were put off that I found that strange and questioned them on it. Their excuse to me was a literal shrug and the words “welcome to Tulum. ” Ludicrous. I’ve stayed at several different types of accommodations on two occasions so far in Tulum, and I found this to be subpar and frankly, a ripoff. The attitudes and service in particular were not acceptable, in my opinion. Thanks.

Just returned from 5 days in heaven! Our first time in Tulum. Yes, the resort is simple, just they way it should be. Our room was clean and was cleaned everyday, fresh water was replenished daily, there was power at all times and ac while we slept. We had cellular and Wi-Fi but it’s vacation so we rarely used. Yes, there is seaweed on the beach, it’s been an unusually heavy seaweed year from what the locals told us. Nothing the resort can do other than rake everyday, and they did. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful! Will be returning next year!

The Hotel is very nice, but I'm very disappointed, I booked here only because of the beach. I made my booking through Tripadvisor and my surprised was to find a beach full of seaweed, it's impossible to swim and the smell is very strong. If you are thinking about visit Tulum, have in mind is nothing like in the pictures. And the hotel has no phone number so is kind of impossible to get in contact with them for any inconvenience. I want to thank Manuel, he was very kind to us. But I don't think I'll come back.

The lower priced rooms don't have a lot of natural light to them so I would get a semi-seaview room or better. Some rooms do not have air conditioning, but even if they do, they only run it from 9pm till sometime around 2am. The biggest issue is the beaches here are completely covered in Sargassum seaweed, and the water is full of it. Do yourself a favor and Google "Sargossa Tulum". You will see that it completely destroys the white sand beach vibe, and also has a really bad stench!

Amansala had a pleasant vibe to it, but there are some key points that I should point out. 1) there is a seaweed infestation that started in 2015 that renders the beaches and ocean completely useless. Look up Sargossa Tulum in Google to understand the situation. It smells terrible and you can't swim in the ocean. 2) the yoga happens twice a day and costs $20 per class extra in top of your stay. That's more than we pay for drop ins back home. 3) some if the rooms don't have AC, but even if they do, it is only on from 9pm till midnight. Your best bet at staying cool is a breeze or the swimming pool. If you are cool with all of the above then Amansala is a nice hotel. But there are literally hotels every 2 blocks for miles around Amansala, so shop around for the best price.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Although, the beach on this side of Tulum did not boast of crystal clear blue waters which was a dissapointment. Air conditioning work from 9pm to 6am. This can ve frustrating at times. Food and dri is seemed overpriced and the food seemed less local. The day we arrived, the beach was flodded with dead Sea weed which wasnt cleaned up and had flies and dog poop all over. I would not go back here.

Worst customer service, and bad attitude towards the guest. The staff reacted unpolite when addressing them in Spanish, not sure if they now that Tulum is in México and that the official language is Spanish. Not going back there.

Staff openly admits that Hotel was done up for website and looks nothing like it. Service is atrocious and food is nearly inedible. Staff is so rude it is hard to imaging anyone having a good time here.

I made a mistake of booking this place via booking com and could not cancel later… this place is extremely overpriced comparing to other resorts located right next to it — you are going to be charge for EVERYTHING: Wi-Fi, bikes, aircon, etc so don't believe the original price you see in search engines. Also, staff is a total mix — I met some super-nice receptionists but others ruined it all: they'd lose their job immediately if they spoke like that to customers in Europe.

Absolutely beautiful place. As other reviewers said Food was a bit expensive though. I knew this going in so I ate outside the hotel (it’s walking distance to some great stuff! ). I took a yoga class in the morning though and highly recommend it! Such a gorgeous experience and a great way to start the day. Their pool is also small but a nice refreshing spot to relax in during seaweed season.

This place is absolutely appalling, don't stay here if you want to enjoy your vacation because it will turn into a complete disaster. The customer service is disgusting and they do not think about the person spending money to actual stay here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. BTW you will not be able to sleep a single second.

Heavenly positioned on the beach, contains Casitas aswell, very nice design, chilled atmosphere, staff always there to help.

I wish I could live here. This place is magical. It’s not cheap but it’s well worth every dollar. The food is amazing and the staff very helpful. I learned so much during my stay about the Mayan culture. All the extra ceremonial stuff was well worth the $$ considering the experience is one in a lifetime. I would highly recommend this breathtaking eco chic place. I miss it already.

From the moment we got off of the airplane, the staff and Amansala has been incredibly friendly and helpful. We had transportation waiting at the airport for us. Check-in was very quick. We were brought to our comfortable and cozy room with a gorgeous beach view. From there, we were brought to a gorgeous yoga room overlooking the ocean for an orientation and introduction. Shortly after, our group (all the bikini bootcamp participants) met for dinner. The following day and days have been filled with exceptional yoga, fitness classes (with very friendly, energetic and knowledgeable instructors) massages and activities (we did a fun bike ride to the Mayan ruins, stopped for a margarita on the way back) and last night we participated in a sweat lodge activity). The resort itself is clean, the beach is gorgeous, and the food is outstanding! Amansala is not a luxury hotel with linens changed daily, so if you are expecting that, you may want to look elsewhere. It does not advertise itself to be that, so I'm not sure where other reviewers got their information prior to booking their stay. However, if you need anything, the staff is always available to help. In fact, my friend got ill with Strep throat upon arrival, and the staff arranged for a doctor to come to our room to treat her.

News from Amansala Eco Chic Hotel. What about the ecology of Tulum? Owner of Melissa Perlman. The exterior drainage of Hotel Amansala, owned by Melissa Pearlman, located at kilometer 5.5 of the hotel zone of Tulum, is causing the contamination of the water table and consequently negative constant. In the coastal areas adjacent to the Hotel Amansala, the black water spot began to spread towards the area of ​​beaches that is the lowest part of the place. "Leakage, ventilation or whatever, allows contaminated water to filter and start to run freely and the aroma is unbearable, " local residents say.

Laid out by the beach and ordered some food and drinks. Great service and a beautiful beach. It's about $20 us to use their beach chairs if you're not a guest, but definitely worth it.

The net tube a Buenca dinner, everything was very nice and delicious.

I walked by and the dog that is from that hotel called Honey… I was doing their needs almost on the seashore, I approach with two waiters to warn them and almost no peel me, I show that the dog again did Popo and saw, I call another I showed DND were… and L End only replied: "Ah is well"… that sad and lack of hygiene with their pets for our beaches.

I️ went there with my boyfriend and we would highly recommend this hotel for a fun and romantic trip. The beach is perfect, not crowded and the area is full of super nice restaurants and bars. The hotel is just beautiful. They pay close attention to detail at the Amansala and it makes such a difference. The rooms are equipped with everything you need and beautiful interior. We stayed at a “partial beach view” room and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The staff is super helpful and nice. Whatever question or problem we had, the staff helped us within a few minutes. Security seems to be high on their priority list so we would always have some security guards overlooking the hotel area, which was great. Our fare included breakfast and it was delicious. The breakfast area is right on the beach with different kinds of little seating options with offers you a wonderful place to start your day with relaxation. To be honest, I️ can’t name a single thing I️ didn’t love about this place.

It's all about the beach and the warm sea.

Bad food with US price i’ve ever experienced in Tulum, a $10 avocado toast for those “yogi” bikini boot camp people. Food even served in plastic plates! obviously you will get much more valued and nice presentation food at Nomade Tulum. Note: goood mexican food places only charge in Mexican pesos. Only this super touristy place charge Dollar. what’s more, the room is even dripping when raining, air con only works after 10pm, Wi-Fi is charged for $25, but if you ask restaurant staff you will get it for free (what’s the point to charge then)? if you are looking for relaxing beach time, go somewhere else, here you would only see those LA / SF marina lulu lemon girls if you wish to watch. will not recommend this place to my friends and not considering to come back again.

Amazing. Just amazing. Stop looking and stay here. We had our wedding here and it was more amazing then we could have imagined. And everyone who was with us loved staying here. The food, the beach, everything was amazing!

We had the Honeymoon Suite in front of the beach which was really awesome. The decor was very tasteful and the view from the bed of the sunrise over the sea simply unforgettable. Very clean room, breakfast was good. The beach was ok, but nothing compared to that at the Mayan ruins.

I have been trying to book a room for 6 days now. They do not reply to my emails and when they do they do not answer my questions properly. I called 4 times and they didnt take my call and told me to email but did not even bother to reply to my last two emails. Its' been 3 days. Rea.
