Terrible service, we were asleep and a guest opened the door for us, they gave him our room and we went to complain and they told us that they were not responsible, and the worst.
It is very dirty and infested with cockroaches and bedbugs, when we realize, we ran out of there all bitten.

The cleanliness very bad, they only laid the beds but the bathroom was not clean, and they took us to another building…
Expensive for what they offer.

Absolutely not recommended! Extremely noisy, water temperature for showering can not be adjusted (and water smells unpleasant), dirty towels are not exchanged but only hung back again, absolute disaster 🤢

Definitely my worst experience in a hotel. We booked last minute because we needed to stay one night in Playa del Carmen just to get to sleep but definitely the worst choice, the only good thing it has is its location.
Super old room, no maintenance, didn't serve the air conditioning and was never fixed, uncomfortable beds, water pressure in the minimal shower, seemed to be dirty, hotel facilities equally dirty and neglected. Would not return 👎🏼

No drink glasses, no fridges etc. Just bare bones of a hotel. Been here twice thought would get better.

Lousy service they stole our belongings they opened our suitcases they treated us of the chingada are some thieves children of their fucking cursed and badly given birth mother I wish the of tourism of Playa del Carmen paid attention to all the comments in this hotel.

The waiter opened our suitcase and stole important belongings and value not only economic but sentimental tmb and the hotel did nothing about it 😡😡

I was not notified of the times when the entrance accesses close, so when I returned at night I was struggling for a long time to enter. The guy attending at the reception was not at all cordial. I don't consider it a good option.

The location is awesome, close to 5th Ave and lots of restaurants and bars The hotel is clean and the rooms are very nice. I would stay here again.

If you are looking for something economical this is the option, the people who attended us very friendly ❤ the only thing I would recommend is a little maintenance to their rooms because if they look a little neglected and security at the entrance since nobody checks you that you are a guest. But from then on everything is fine.

An excellent hotel is small but comfortable and the food and service of the restaurant La ceiba excellent. I will definitely return.

Personally I was very afraid to read so much bad review, I generated a lot of anxiety, but personally I loved it, the staff was always friendly, my room was always clean, my room worked all 100%, definitely if I went back, because it is super located, cheap and very cozy. If I recommend it!

I expected better rooms, I was attended by a receptionist who diferentes not tell me important information about muy departure, so they delivery of my room was not to my liking.

One night stay recomended, 3 was to much. Beds are horrible and the pillows are even worse. The music starts at 0830 in the bar and you sure will feel like your apart of their lonely bar staff party, its horrible. If 0830 does awaken you, just wait for your maid to knock your door down at 0930, it truly is fantastic. If this hasnt been enough to make you book another Hotel the smell of the bathroom will, it may be hot and humid but I suggest that you keep your windows open. Good luck.

Not bad. But the rooms have very little water pressure.

They have a very friendly staff, we got lost while going through and they very graciously helped us get to where we needed to go.

The place is very nice. It has direct access to 5th avenue… Too bad it has no parking.

Poor treatment, poor care, dirty rooms, super small, the closet was a curtain, we had to wait for us to change the room and still the TV did not serve, the cleaning or even clean and just threw the blankets to reveal a half lying, not even because it benefits more than 6 months in advance for the group. Poor coordination of part of Giorgina and the reception even had my braces full! In my life I go to stop there.

We met in Aspira. Nice Clean hotel, friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. I understand the hotel is still under construction. The Lobby is very modest, nothing superfluous. The Pool is available. The Room was very clean. The hotel Itself is rustic. Toukan across the road-the hotel itself is more interesting, a lot of greenery, about the service I do not know.

This Hotel corresponds to 2-3 stars and from it to wait for something supernatural is not worth. The room Itself is in normal condition. We bought a tour with a flight from Moscow for 13 days for 73 Tyshchi on 2. Cheap! Therefore The hotel corresponds to our spent money.
In the room-a huge bed, 3 meters wide. There is air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Terrace with a table with a beautiful view of the garden and pool. I liked to have breakfast there. In the room, apart from the bed, there is a table with TV, built-in large closet, mirror, bedside tables and a table for suitcase.
The Bathroom is in a sad condition and requires repair. As I understood, water they take from a well and because of proximity to the sea, water salty from a crane.
In the room we had a coffee maker, the fridge was not as well as the kettle. Tip-Take the kettle with you. We travel everywhere with a boiler. Russians Love seagulls to drink in the evening.
Every Day the room is cleaned.
The Hotel is in 15-00. We flew in at 3 am and walked 12 hours.
In The reception area there is a water cooler and a cooler with sweet water-like juice.
The hotel Area is immersed in greenery. Very Beautiful!

The Hotel is old. The rooms have no kettle and fridge, which in such a climate is just deadly. From a crane The salty water flows, even small kamushki come across. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. To the beach close, 5 Avenida at the side.

My best friend and I visited last month and our experience at the Tukan was Horrible to say the least. First off we paid for all Inclusive we showed the man at the front desk our receipts showing that we paid for all Inclusive but he still kept trying to charge us an extra 40 dollars a day for all Inclusive. We flat out said No we are not doing that we already paid for that we will just eat out then. That's when he come up with the "Extra tax" that he forced my friend to pay of 80 dollars. We refused at first and he kept getting mad at us like we were doing something wrong. After going back and forth for awhile my friend went on and paid it. The men at the front desk are straight bullies and I think they tried to get over on us because we were two females traveling alone. I will never go there again I asked some of the other guest and only females that were traveling alone and the older couples were charged the extra tax. Our room was HORRIBLE it was NOT the room we paid for we didn't even have a shower door. I wanted to go back to the front desk and complain but my friend was scared of the men and didn't want them to do anything to hurt us so I backed off. We tried to make the most of our trip and stay away from the hotel as much as possible the men at the front desk glared at us whenever we passed. Do not stay at the Tukan not worth it there's plenty of safer and way nicer places to stay near by.

As it is not the same after the chic hotels Cancun/Yes and in Playa de Carmen and in Revere there are very nice places/to be in such a hotel… A little sad… Justified it only for those who do not like a quiet comfortable stay and need a constant party and the pace… Well, probably… Just not for me that's for sure…

Swimming Pool 1.2m deep. Chlorine dyed his son's underpants from blue to light brown. Towels are grey in color. The air conditioner blows straight to the bed. There is no fridge in the room. The fan is not working.

Good, nice and cheap. There is No elevator, and has some details as the bathroom fan that is not working. I would host there.

Is very good your location. On 5th. Avenue. Close to everything, the pier, no bingo, the truck terminal.

The place has a pool and Jacuzzi, there are staff that serves you 24 hours. It is very centrally located all very close by, the super, restaurants, plazas, the beach, fence up Doctor there nearby.
However there was an inconvenience with the hot water, and it took them to attend and fix it. I delayed where I was going and good…
As for the cleanliness Yes, when you deliver is impeccable… But if you stay longer, you realize "details" (they go tend the bed, leave soap, clean towels and no more) I'll think about it to get back.

No matter what are your plans during the holidays, this place is recommended if you're looking for a little peace of mind. Offers a cosy place with an excellent attention at all times, from the hotel to the beach club. Its location is excellent and the theme jungle only.

Impossible to park. No parking. The hot water in the shower lasts 5 minutes. The room smells like a sewer. Not recommended.

We pay direct service to the hotel for 7 days. The treatment of the staff is superb and inconspoising. The service includes cuts on the skin by the pool (maintenance-free as the mosaic is broken and in poor condition). It also includes cockroaches and don't complain about it because the staff doesn't support you with fixing the problem. It leaves a lot to be desired…

The harder bed that I have ever sleep, good luck with the shower! not a really good food. Loud music at night from the bar. It's fine for one night of you really don't fine another place to stay.

The Hotel is great, the bad thing is that we stayed in another building nearby, which is accessed out the back of it and you must cross a street. This building has no reception, the room did not have a telephone or frigobar or hair dryer. After all there is good hygiene and safety.

The outside is not exactly the most beautiful hotel, the area is small for the number of rooms it offers as they are on various levels up. However it has enough vegetation so you forget the others. The rooms are nice, homey. And there's restaurant service. Is nice.

The truth is that the facilities are totally adequate for the price you pay, the ubicasion is very good, you have the Fifth Avenue around the corner and the beach less than 10 minutes. The food, not good; It's horrible, tasteless and nothing remarkable. Even so to my stay I give 8/10

Good location. The room was fine until I found blood worms in the water when I was brushing my teeth. I could not with disgust and asked for reimbursement. I was offered upgrade which I declined.

It would be nice if they lower the cost as it is very expensive for what they offer, according to them "Deluxe rooms", it is noticeable that they do not maintain, or remodel followed and another bad thing is that they send you to hotels brothers although you already have a reservation in the Tukan!

Buildings to stay separated by street and the bottom without reception. No phone in the rooms or minibar. Small pools. Good hygiene.

Don't be fooled by the pictures! Save yourself from a nightmare! Front the front desk that doesn't bring your bags to your room. To offering you no service when it comes to what's to do in the area. The room had no phone to call lobby. Room smelled horrendous. They basically did nothing about it. It should be called a motel not a hotel.

We had a very negative experience at this hotel. Booked it for 2 nights, upon check in they handed our keys with little explanation only to find out there were no rooms at the hotel we had booked so they gave us rooms at their neighboring hotel, Aspira. Aspira is two blocks over from the main road with no hot water and faulty Wi-Fi. When we told the front desk we didn’t want to stay there, they put us at another hotel, La Nina for the night, which was a ten minute walk from Tucan and it’s facilities and very outdated 2 star hotel. There is no storage locker for your belongings, our baggage stayed out in the open in the lobby all day while we were waiting for a room to become available, which left me uneasy. Our final night, when we finally had the “privilege” to stay at the Tucan, the hotel we had originally reserved and paid for, the air conditioning in the room was broken.

When I got there, I was sent to aspira hotel, but I could use the pool and bars of tukan. A good place overall. Very nice people that treated us great. The water in the sink was a bit salty, but not too much.

Very good Ubicacio in the center of beach and in the middle of Quinta Av. Near the night centers and restaurants… in particular the very nice hotel with lots of vegetation, all very clean and the staff very helpful.

If you want a hotel to rest, forget it! It is very well located on 5th Avenue, full of bars, nightclubs and nightlife restaurants and will not let you sleep. It's good for just sleeping. Regulate your facilities.

I don't recommend this hotel! It doesn't fit the description and photo of the rooms, the restaurant that is called a restaurant is heavy, it's just a canteen where the staff are in still there but quite tasty food. Its only advantage is the location in the middle of 5th Avenue. Rooms in a terrible state, with a terrible show of the bathroom, ripped curtains and towels gray, and about the beach even do not want to write. The beach club has nothing to do with this hotel, the entrance there is paid, except for guests with all inklusive Premium, which can be obtained on the spot for $52 per night for two. I sincerely don't recommend this hotel.

It's the best hotel in the area. Their first level facilities. The service is excellent, has a unique view and also its restaurant has an unbeatable range of foods. The quality and training of the employees is perfect. Highly recommended. Visitenlo.

We stayed there recently (12/26 — 12/30). I am still in the airport in the US writing this! We will NOT be staying there again. Be very careful. The rooms are not as pictured, they nickel and dime you to death. We were not allowed to use their computer nor that of the Concierge to print the boarding pass or go to the airline website to confirm our flight. Instead they sent us from one location to the other with no success. We ended up texting our kids back home To confirm our flight. To use their phone it's 5 pesos per minute and the kicker was we could only find one of our wristbands and they were not going to check us out because they said they need it for inventory or they were going to charge us additional. Make sure you return your key and towel card! They will charge you for that I am sure although we did not lose those. My advice, look for another hotel and ask questions. The only great thing was the location. The shower area would also smell like sewerage or some strange smell.

Lousy attention since you got here. Rooms in lousy condition. The rusty sprinklers, the strainer is black, the filthy sheets and the broken towels.

I'ts a nice place if you looking a location site, it's just in middle of 5th avenue, you just walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and beach.

The hotel is well located on Fifth Avenue, quite close to the beach and has several shops around besides the sea view. The rooms are spacious although somewhat dirty and the beds somewhat uncomfortable. The food something delicious although it becomes somewhat expensive as it does not include breakfast when you rent the room. And about the hotel services and the staff treatment leaves a lot to be desired. It may be excellent to visit your bar but I don't recommend staying.

Well located, on the 5th avenue. We had a problem with the room and then we were assigned another, but who is supposed to going to help with the suitcases never appeared, as we were not looking for him again. The AC is perfect, the bed is huge. And the location could not be better. I do have two complaints: 1. I wanted to bring a guest with me, and the security stopped me, saying without a wristband she can't enter, unless you pay an entrance fee for her! I don't understand what kind of rule this is, it's my hotel room and I should be able to do as I please. The security stopped me, threatening to call the police. Again, it's my hotel room, and I should be able to invite anyone I want to. This was insanity to me. 2. The Wi-Fi is painfully slow. Had it not been for my first complaint and the unpleasant way the security treated me, I would have loved to give this place 5 stars.

I would NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL… GREAT EYE… When I went I was sent to a room located in an "annex building" : (I don't know if it was because I was alone or because in truth there was no space in the Hotel… it was sad and depressing, I felt like I was glued… and I recommend that if you reserve at this hotel, demand that the located within the same, and not intended to be sent to the annex building, otherwise ask for your refund… the only good thing of the hotel is located super close to the beach… My recommendation TO THE OWNERS… they make a hotel and more, it's not fair that one goes with all the illusion of staying close to the beach, in a hotel which in the photos looks beautiful, and at the end you end up sending to "annex buildings" _… for that simple reason I do NOT recommend staying here, better to go to one of the Hotels in Playacar, it is preferable to pay more, but with the certainty that you will go to a hotel that will not send outside of their facilities…

The location is very nice. The rooms are spacey and comfortable, but service is a bit of a lackluster.

To begin with, I have to say that this assessment is rather strict, since we were promised something else by the travel agency.
Our room was a street farther, that means we had to go to the food or the reception far.
The room in itself was without a view, we saw on a wall when we peeped Out. In addition, it was always moist, so that our things smelled strong at some Point. The cleaning apparently only included the superficial sweeping and straight pulling of the Sheets. The sanitary facilities were heavily polluted!
When we wanted to change rooms, we were two times only comforted with "sorry, not possible".
At the reception there were generally problems of communication, English is very poorly spoken there.
The facility is kept very simple, the images deceived in different portals!
The buffet is always monotonous, there was always the same for 14 days. You couldn't take anything to the pool, or to the ROOM. Also for our excursions that took place before the start of the buffet we should not take anything with us, even though we had all inclusive!?
It is also very interesting that this hotel is a 4 star hotel but is actually a 3 star hotel.
We could not sleep for a couple of nights, as three construction sites were around the hotel and the construction started at 2 o'clock in the Morning. Terrible!
Against the situation you can say nothing, really very central, but that's it too.

A hotel very nice, clean, well located and quite spacious! I liked a lot our stay, the only thing q would have to point out is the internet key is on request at reception and as always there are new guests, if it took them in our care. Otherwise very good :)

Really what I did not like was the hotel Restaurant. Unopened food and package tortillas should be handmade but good. They don't put you up to start any chips or anything. The super Bad orange juice disopened very low. Prices will be compensated with the quality of food but as it is poor quality because it is very expensive for what they give. Bad service Apart. A song was repeated as 6 times to Q we had enough. In short I would never go.

Near from the beach, good environment, and excellent service.

In the middle of Playa del Carmen, it's not a luxury facility but it doesn't pretend to be that. We stayed 15 days and had to go back to Playa I would stay there again… bargained first on the price, otherwise there is a tendency to charge you the beach service which according to them is not included in the price… but who goes to Playa del Carmen without going to the sea? Jon joke.

On the balcony of the room was the compressor of the minisplit and I sat there enjoying a beer, because he was always hot and a lot of noise, and I saw that it was the same in all the rooms.

Very ugly rooms. The price of the room would be 500 pesos on the other side. The difference in rate is to pay to sleep on Fifth Avenue. There's no phone to talk to reception. No Elevators. The water in the shower is salty! The facilities without maintenance! Definitive I would never stay there again. I do not understand how having the best location does not put you to quality! Terrible.

It was a Nice place I recently visited for a work meeting with some partners, and so the offered amenities and service was good enough for that purposes.

I liked the hotel, the service, the treatment of the employees. I would give 5 stars if it were not for the unpleasant thing to have salt water in the room, both in the shower and in the sink. I let them know the waitresses and said it was "normal" … we had q buy purified water.

Really one because it is beautiful place of dreams, aphrodisiac, where people treat you like a king, by its picturesque places and because everything is so well prepared to be able to receive in excellent way the tourist.

Is a small beautiful hotel, the rooms are small but clean and moderm. The hotel has everything you need and is located in a very busy street, so if you are looking for parties and want to meet new people and have fun this is the place. The hotel is not for relax and quiet time, it gets really busy and noisy becuase of all the parties around. When it comes to clean services they are great, My housekeeper Maria did a great job cleaning my room everyday. The food service is slow sometimes, but Rosa is a sweet lady always checking if you are OK. The food on the other hand is perfect, it has the best menu and is professionally made, so I totally encourage you to buy the all inclusive, because the food is great and it can add up quickly if is not included in your plan. The hotel in general is a great place to stay, if you are OK with a more rural looking hotel in the middle of a busy shopping and moderm town. I totally recommend this hotel.

Reservations at Hotel Tukan and arriving they send you to another who is not even on the 5th Avenue, not the photos. We also booked 3 rooms and we were separate in 2 buildings.

Very good location, as it is located in the heart of Fifth Avenue and close to all the action. The rooms are fine. I don't recommend including the all inclusive pass I think it's expensive and not worth it. It is preferable to go to another beach for better price and better food. The facilities are regular, the water in the shower looked like seawater with sand and one day we did the service with a dirty mop and the room was penetrated to pee as a bath eatadio.

Great location and great view. However the hotel is pretty pricing for everything you get. Would rather recommend other cheaper options along 5th Avenue that offer the same amenities.

The food and drink is good. I book at the hotel Tukan and the hotel administration itself sent me to another call aspire past the avenue, in fact I was not the only there were several complaints about the bad administration.

I give 2 stars because the water of the showers and the sinks is salty and with the Italian triples the power of the hair dryer is halved.

I stayed here for a few days and it's quite okay. My room was large enough, bed was huge (! ) and the AC worked pretty good. Bathroom was basic, but clean. Best of all is the location: right in the middle of the tourist area. So when looking for a bar or restaurant, just step outside and you found them! The one thing I didn't like was the way I / we were greeted. Not that friendly and especially after we declined to go for the option of having our (breakfast) buffet there (at extra costs, because 'it was way cheaper than anywhere else! '), they almost made us feel unwelcome. Not everybody, some were definitely very friendly, but some of them… Other than that I probably would stay here again!

My husband and I bought a groupon for the hotel on a whim and it was the best whim we ever chased! As a part of our deal, we were considered "Premium Guests" which included a beautiful Room, king sized bed, all meals, the Kool Beach Club, and flights. Our trip was made so incredibly easy by the staff and travel company-booking was a little scary until I called on the phone. The food was fantastic and we felt like we had plenty of choices for a week. We utilized all favilities and the staff and services were fantastic. One night we had a small issue with our lock, but the staff handled it well while we sat for a margarita in the bar. Overall, we felt safe, totally relaxed, full and cared for. We did an excursion to Chichen Itza but had mixed feelings about the constant barrage of selling put on by vendors along the route and at the cenote. We chose this trip because we wanted a place to fully relax and not have to think about anything, and our expectations were fully exceeded. It's hard to believe any of it was real! Our room was clean and well kept but lack of ventilation made it a little musty smelling. I cannot say enough good things about our stay and time in Mexico. The trip was affordable and easy and beautiful. We are counting down the days until we can return!

Should never go to Playa del Carmen. Because of the corruption there is no beach, hotels are building up to the sea which is illegal. A very noisy and artificial city. Frankly to avoid!

The Hotel is in a great location — righton the 5th Avenue! About 10-15 min walk to the beach. Easy to walk to public transportation stops to get to Cancun/anywhere on the ciast. There is Wi-Fi at the reception and sometimes in the rooms. The rooms are clean, the shower has good pressure and hot water, the beds very comfy. Recommend this to traveller's on a budget that prefer to explore new places rather than stay at an all-inclusive resort!

Very clean, reception is open air, location could not be better. Romm has a tv, a/c, all in all very nice experience. The only thing to complain about was that the Wi-Fi reached only our balcony, but not the room.

El Tukan hotel is right on famous Quinta Avenida, still it is calm and pleasure to stay in. There is a pool surrounded with palm trees, usage of sun beds is free same as towel service. Stay in this hotel comes with access to a beach club which is 10 min walk far away.
