I stayed with my partner from December 31st to January 5th and had the best days. The attention and friendliness of Carlos and Isidro is wonderful, it is good to talk as they guide you about tourism in Playa del Carmen.
The Cleaning service everything very tidy and instead every day welcomed us with beautiful artworks in towels on the bed.
We will definitely be thankfully coming back for everything and happy 2018!

Hello everyone! I would like to share with you a shocking experience at the Sweet Corazon Hotel in Playa del Carmen. I stayed at the hotel for a weekend from 30.8-3.9. On the night between Saturday and Sunday my friend and I were robbed of cash from the safe as well as new clothes purchased during the trip that were in the room. We remembered that upon check in, a receptionist accompanied us to the room and actually gave us instructions on how to use the safe, which were incorrect. The guy said that three numbers must be inserted into the safe, which in fact could have put four numbers in each safe. He asked me to insert a code and make sure the safe was locked and then asked for the code again to open it. At this point I put exactly the same number I entered but somehow the safe did not open. The guy claimed that I had probably forgotten the code and he had to get down to get the key to the safe from the receipt to open it. It is impractical that a second after I entered a code, I would forget it. The number of numbers in the code for the safe is 4, but it is important to note that a pair of friends who stayed with us at the hotel received the same instructions from the same clerk (3 numbers), so it is strange that the clerk was mistaken twice. For the record, there are only 2 receptionists — 1 for the day shift and one for the night shift. The entrance to the hotel is locked and even a guest cannot enter unless he knocks and waits for it to be opened.

This property is right in the center of everything but located in a quieter street just off the main pedestrian shopping streeet. We had a clean spacious roomspace with with quality fittings and a large bed, leather chair and sofa in the sitting area and a small well fitted kitchen. The staff at reception were always pleasant andhelpful. There is also a rooftop sundeck to relax at.

So, we have been there a week after we saw perfect pictures of the place. The sight of first place was looking good, there is a kitchen, Wi-Fi, a good location (close to the Fifth Avenue, 10 minutes from the sea). Now the reality: 1. Noise — daily between the time 8 am to 12pm at noon there are Trucks under the building that make noise. Unbearable. Even if the window closed (the only window). We could deal with a closed window and also deal with noise, because of another problem:stench: 2. There was the stench, unbearable, a constant, of mildew/ mold/ decay so that enter into the kidnappers wave like Login morgue/ dump. Stink made us cough and nausea (at the suffering permanent we couldnt invite Order peoples to the room). 3. The staff behavior: when we approached them about the smell tey tried to wave us and " did not understand" what smell it is. We invited her to the room of course that could not be ignore the smell smelly so she tried to twist and claimed that it is becouse " Room is closed" (even though he was open all morning to air in spite of noise intolerable), plus does not make sense to claim that it because of the room closed that even a closed room should not smell like death. 4. The Wi-Fi is worse, screwed up to not exist — we told them, they claimed probably a lot of users so it slow. Is simply did not work 99 percent of possession and ended me package browsing in the phone. In short, keeps his life far off this horror.
