My room had bunch of ants and the front desk made it seem like it’s normal to have ants in the room. They wouldn’t change my room after complaining about the ants. Also, there was no hot water and I asked the front desk to look into it and that never happened. If you are considering this resort I suggest you find somewhere else!

Terrible service attitude, I do not recommend it at all, bad transportation logistics, poor quality of food at breakfast buffets, long lines and waiting times to eat or drink, and the attitude of its staff leaves much to be desired.

This was mine and my family’s first all inclusive resort getaway and we were not disappointed! Leonardo at the seek and go desk was super helpful and responsive when booking excursions. Food was available anytime of the day and the staff is super courteous and pleasant 👍🏽 on site entertainment was fun and the family really enjoyed the Michael Jackson tribute show!

I would not think twice, it will always be a place of first comfort, ambience and very good service.

Nice place for a vacation. Meals were better than most resorts. Very family friendly, if you don't want to hear kids, go to an all adult resort. This resort has an all adult pool, put everywhere else isn't.

We absolutely loved our 10 days in paradise at Sandos Playacar. With older teens, it was a perfect location. The resort was huge, beautiful and clean with incredibly friendly staff, it was just a wonderful experience. We can't wait to get back there.

Gorgeous hotel and grounds, pools great, beach amazing, staff so hard working, friendly and helpful. Food lovely, plentiful with huge selection for all.

The service is excellent. Perfect there is nothing in this life but if they detect an error of them in the service immediately they are above the guest to solve it.

Been here with my family and as an adult trip. The rooms are large, staff is friendly and very accommodating, food is great and the shows are great. Or at least the ones I manage to stay up for! I like to get up early and go to bed early! We have stayed in the family section and the adult section and each one accommodated according to our vacation.

If you are Mexican better not go. I am staying at the moment and I have received very bad treatment from the staff just for being Mexican, next to us there is always a foreign family and they take care of them in luxury.
Even my 3-year-old daughter was discriminated against in the kids club. No tact with a girl.
I filed my complaint with Eduardo from guest Service, he made me fill out a letter but in the end he didn't believe anything I said.
I leave this hotel very desepcionada.

We stayed 7 nights at this resort. Very nice, great staff, great location, great resort. Definitely recommend.

3rd time here, love the place … yes the virus closed down some things but the staff is still nice and attentive. Our room is clean, the food is good … only thing I wish they would do is label things (spicy food, dressings) at the buffet some of us can not handle that spice. Other than that Nutella is a must for crapes, there was either none or something that did not taste even close to Nutella.
Besides those two small things we love it here, and we will be back again.

Been there a while back loved it, now we just were there, the staff was excellent, management sucked seems like they were only trying to make up money, not enough help cheaper food, you had to call for washcloths, some of the staff was lacking because overwhelmed, the food was something we looked forward to, even entertainment was only par, entertainers were good but once again $$$ was a factor, seems like they catered more to the upgraded customers, and they even weren't satisfied, its sad when $$$ is 1st priority over customer satisfaction it will bite you back.

Very friendly amazing staff! Great food with a variety of choices. Several different pools to choose from, adult only and family ones. The beach was gorgeous. Loved that they had a coffee shop with desserts and the burrito restaurant. Entertainment was great at night and different activities during the day. Carlos and victor were our favorite employees up at the lobby. They gave us lots of recommendations for off the resort. We also went to the sister resort sandos caracol which had a different feel but was nice to get to spend the day there. We will definitely be booking a future trip soon.

Will not return based on terrible customer service. Our children along with other guests/family’s we’re treated so poorly by Berenice at the Teens Club. She treated us so bad and refused to let our kids in. Not only is but several family complained for the same issue. Reached out to the manager on duty at customer service which did nothing to address the situation. I wish I could give this resort negative stars, however if you want terrible food and like to be treated poorly then this is your place! I hope the Sandos team can appreciate honest reviews. When business declines, without returning guests, little things like this are important.

It was our first visit to Mexico. We had a good time. Beautiful sea and beach, friendly staff, delicious food. Beautiful flora and fauna around you. We plan to return to Sandos next winter. Special thanks to Charlie for the hot stones massage (Sandos Playacar Spa).

The Resort is Huge! It's only at 30% capacity due to the Virus, so no lines! It's Gated, they even checked the trunk when the Taxi brought us back from town! We feel very safe. The food is great, even though all the Restaurants aren't open, there are still plenty of choices. French tonight, Italian last night. People dress for dinner, which we like. It's fun to get all gussied up! The beach is beautiful and very private. They have some seperated areas for Adults and Families, which we like. We're here with friends who are Owners, so we have black bracelets and can get in everywhere! You unlock your door with your bracelet, no key card to worry about. This is a wonderful place! ❤

I had a great time all around. I especially liked the buffet, entertainment, excursions, beach and lush, green atmosphere. The staff members were very helpful and friendly as well. Overall, this place is a good value and provides a great combination of seclusion and a convenient location in Playa del Carmen.

My wife and I went to Sandos Playacar a couple of weeks ago, and I struggle with my review. The resort was awesome, the room was great, and the cleaning crew was awesome. I feel like my review is mostly around the food aspect. The food was okay but not great. It was dated in many ways, and could use some upgrades to be made. The food was very much like cafateria style cooking at half of the locations, but others were actually very good. The experience was bad at a few locations, including the SPA, a lady was supposed to help us with going into the steps to go through before our massage, but she just wondered off and we were left standing there waiting for nothing. We ended up having to go up front and ask for someone else. We had food at the Chinese place and the service and food was terrible. The night before the Chinese place was closed an hour early for no reason we know of. Just some minor experiences that I was not impressed with. I would suggest if you want something a bit more modern and updated, to check out some other locations as well. Otherwise the place is amazing, the trip was amazing. So this is not a bad review just more of an informative review and things to think about.

Staying here now and already planning my next trip! First time coming with others who have come before and we're loving every bit of it. From the food, atmosphere, beach, shows and meeting great people! I would recommend Sandos to anyone looking for a great priced relaxing vacation. Sadly my review has gone down to a 3, we ended up finding mold, maggots were inside this in the wall, going into the shower and nothing was ever done with it. Disappointing.

We loved our stay at this resort! We were in the adult only section with adult only pool and swim up bar. Food was delicious. The beach gorgeous and white sand. There was an abnormal amount of seaweed on shore during our stay but every day early morning there would be men gathering all the seaweed and cleaning the beach. We'll probably consider their other locations if they are as good.

Best resort I've ever stayed at. Incredibly friendly and outgoing staff. Seven days of all inclusive access, great food, great drinks and great people from all over the globe. You could walk around and check out the beach, the entire resort area overall. (Beautiful architecture! ) Every day you could walk around and look for monkeys, reptiles, cool birds. Infinite things you can do to enjoy your day or night there. The night club is definitely something you should check out when you go (of course after watching the amazing night shows about 10 feet away from it). Met amazing people there and had a great time. Open from I believe 11-11:30pm to 2am. Feeling hungry? Burrito place is right next door and open from 10am — 2am. My experience at Sandos Playacar is definitely something I will always remember and something I'll definitely want to do again. Looking for a gorgeous place in Playa Del Carmen to spend your vacation? This is the spot for you. Cheers! ❤️

The resort had Daily Yoga classes at 11:00am the week that we went. Instructor Juan Carlos was excellent! My family of five went the first day and then I went by myself again a couple days later. Lucky for me I was the only one to show the second time and had an excellent private yoga class. Juan Carlos is able to tailor the session to your abilities. When he recognizes you can do a little more advanced moves, he will challenge you there. There was a proper focus on breathing technique and he does not rush you through anything. This is a great class to recenter yourself during a vacation where you probably aren't eating the best or taking in enough water.

Awesome resort. Lots of fun here the staff is amazing and friendly. They work hard and it reflects during your stay. Stayed in the adult side which was great but it was a bit of a walk to get anywhere. Still loved the place though.

Family hotel as well as festive, overlooks directly the sea, water park inside plus 2 other picines, 5 restaurants, entertainment room.

We had a fantastic time at Sandos during our 5 night stay at the playacar resort. We stayed in the adult only section and it was great that we had our own pool and bar. Everything was very accessible and was not a far walk to the beach at all. It was also nice that we had our own section of the beach for the adults. The service was impeccable, everyone was friendly and the check in and check out process was very smooth. There was a good variety of food options, although the buffet could be a bit better. The premium restaurants were top notch and you got a lot of food. We also loved that the room key was attached to the wristband which allowed us to not have to worry about losing keys. Overall a great time and I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Great holiday, all the staff are very good people, always ready to your needs, to be honest we had a few minor drawbacks, but when they spoke, they took all the measures to fix them, they gave us their best attention, the food, Housekeeping amenities Everything was as we expected, would come back for everything and the beach is beautiful. Highly recommended. Thank you, everyone.

The smell of humidity in the room, unbearable, were to bring deodorant and we are still waiting four days ago. The rating of the kitchen comes in fall year after year and the attention on the plates depressing, seems to do you a favor. Several years ago I come and this year I am disappointed, is not what you show when you sell the membership. The only thing that stays the same is the fee and the collection of the weeks ahead when you need them and you're lucky to get place and not send you elsewhere.

Went to Sandos Playacar Beach Resort April 15-22 for a wedding. They did an amazing job. The setup on the beach, cocktail bar and dinner was well done. Food was pretty good. DJ was awesome. It was the perfect wedding! The resort itself is clean and the staff are very friendly. Luis and Wilbert at the adult swim up bar were awesome. Very generous with the drinks! Buffets and restaurants had lots to offer. The rooms are spacious with a great view. The only downfall… housekeeping. They either need more training or they are overworked. They weren't very good at replenishing our room with towels, clean cups, TP or coffee supplies. Other than that… I would go back. It's a nice place to relax and enjoy the sunshine!

Water in the pool was freezing cold, even if the temperature outside was very nice. The food had no taste. The staff was not that friendly, except for the spa and bars. Entertainment is good for the elders or if you have some drinks. Missing amenities in the room. Bathroom is spacious and the bed is large. Lots of cats on the premises and other harmless animals.

Enjoyed a 1 week stay here with my wife. Very relaxing. The room was very nice with an always filled mini-fridge which is included in the all-inclusive price. The beach was spectacular and very clean. They do have shuttles for those who do not want to take the long walk back to the front half of the resort. Restaurants are good. Our favorite was the Italian.

This place was a bit depressing. Food was variable — breakfast okay but dinner bordering on disgusting. Paid for the premium adults only package. Several drinks but never a buzz. Loads of staff are sales people in disguise. Although the beach was the one redeeming factor, all of the resorts have it. All in all I would say avoid. For a bit more you can find a number of lovely resorts all with better quality… everything! (And I never write reviews but this place was so bad I felt I had to warn others).

The resort is very nice. There are many food options and we found all to be quite good, with the exception of the Brazilian Restaurant; I would recommend skipping this one. Most of the meat was dry. The Italian, Asian, and Mexican restaurants were great. And you did not need reservations for the restaurants. The pool is very nice and works well for sitting and lounging. The spa was great; however the spa staff who came to the pool to sell the services were a little relentless and it got to be too much. Even though we had already booked services they continued to pepper us with questions and get us to book more. There were plenty of chairs at the beach and by the pool. Beach has smooth sand and activities each day. Nighttime entertainment was decent.

The pool is not suitable for swimming as it is only played there. In the afternoon it is quite dirty. The buffet restaurant is too big and too noisy, however the food is impeccable.

First time in Playa del Carmen and first time in an All Inclusive. Very good facilities, ideal to go with family. In general the valuation is very good, from the gastronomic to the shows at night. If you go to Playa del Carmen with family, I recommend it.

It is really five stars, the attention and services are impeccable, the facilities very neat and clean, the employees very helpful and attentive, the tattoo artist Fernando an amazing performer, the first quality food, abundant and varied, the pools very Clean and the beach despite the algae invasion the staff work hard so that guests can enjoy the sea waters, in short thank you for a wonderful holiday I hope to return and recommend it totally. A thousand thanks for such a beautiful stay congratulations.

The place is good. The food is good. The level of drinks is limited. Very nice place but the beach full of seaweed. Attention leaves a lot to be desired. As long as nothing bad happens to you, it's okay. In the face of a minimal problem they have no answer. A pity. The pool has no one to look after. If you leave your children you have to be attentive.

Nice hotel, well organized, but we chose it because it was supposed to have a baby club. There is one actually, which welcomes the two-year-olds, provided they are accompanied. I do not see the use of that.
2nd problem, we got robbed of clothes in the room, and no news since.

We sent an email a few days ago because of a problem with an employee: answer from the hotel: none. We also sent a Facebook-Message because of that: answer from the hotel: none. We will check out tomorrow and I don't think our messages will be answered. Very sad experience!

Hi it's great as resort. Welcoming and full of activity for young people and adults. Can spend a few days without leaving the site. Very good restaurants on site. Just a few minutes walk from Playacar del Carmen. Beautiful beach. Small snag some dishes of the buffet is not warm enough.

We were in the adults only area.
The room was nice, modern, spacious and cleaned regularly.
In the hotel section it was very quiet (no music by the pool) The walk to the beach takes 10-15 minutes to walk, but it leads through a nice resort. You could even ride a shuttle car.
The food in the restaurants was really tasty! We were mostly in the a la carte restaurants. The Asian and French restaurants are particularly recommended. The buffet Restaurant we visited once noon. The food was fine, it was a bit louder.
The cocktails at the bars are delicious. The bartenders have their hands full, so sometimes you have to wait a bit, but I think that's normal.
The beach was very nice. There were plenty of sunbeds and shady palm trees.
I still like to think about staying back.

I would say actually about a 3.5. Facilities are clean and plentiful. Nice main area with good nightly shows and things to do. Nice selection of hard alcohol at most bars. The food is decent, totally edible but not over the top. Improvements: Wifi is unstable, if you are working it is tough. More shuttles from hotel to beach area. More drink waiters at the beach.

We have stayed here five years in a row. It has gotten better over the last two years. The food has improved dramatically over the last two years and we love the new buffet and the new Italian restaurant. That said, it’s time to update the other restaurants. The only real complaints about the place are that the hot tub in the adult section has never in five years been operational. It is full of water and clean, but cold water and no jets work. Also, the no smoking policy on the beach is never enforced. We would love to see that remedied. Otherwise, we love it.

I am getting married at Sandos in May this year, but I visited the hotel in November to scope it out first. For an all-inclusive resort, it is phenomenal food. The restaurants were very nicely decorated and had decent options to choose from. Aside from the resort itself, I have had issues with the Wedding department. We have not been able to get a hold of them for months, and now we are only 3 months away from the wedding date. They have not replied to emails, and it's been impossible reaching them by phone. We are now extremely worried.

I'm at the Hotel right now I'm missing a few days to enjoy and we are very thankful for the attention the staff is excellent and very warm. Beautiful place we are with my partner and my 3 year old son.

Our first night consisted of booking into a room that had been fumigated with a very strong insecticide. At 3am we had to leave the room because it was making us sick. We spent the next three days in a handicapped room, but they did what they could to make a bad situation better. Three days later we got a very nice corner room, when it became available. Food was great and staff were better. The boys working the pool bar were the best.

Super Nice hotel, very clean, very beautiful, and luxury as room, very large! Fridge full of beverage of all kinds, fridge àvec bottle of water! Never seen! We were adult section, tranquility, adult beach portion Also, super large beach, white sand, a bit of a wave not dangerous! Good surveillance! Bottle of sparkling champagne with glass at the finish, plus a fruit platter! Everything is perfect, big catch! If you want to go to the beach, you have to take a shuttle or walk 15 minutes. Except you have to know where to go! Very large site, we found that there were not many Quebeckers, so nobody speaks French! You have to speak English or Spanish, otherwise you have to make us understand! Even the Air Canada representative does not speak our language, we must manage! It looks like Çey is not a Quebec destination! Just that, we will not go back! For the temperature, we do not have control over Mother Nature, on our arrival it was hot and very humid, but after 2 days, the cold wind arrived and we had 16, 17oC at night and in the morning, it took a good waistcoat! Well, we weren't lucky! But if you want to rest, this is the perfect place! To sleep!

That horrible hotel I ever was an absolute rip off unfriendly staff bad food (everything looked good, but was unpalatable) cheaper booze that you couldn't drink vermin in the room purest chemistry and when we were about to leave, you And not let's paid extremely much money that we also didn't get back WAHRNUNG goes somewhere else.

Good all-inclusive family beach resort. Many options of food with adequate quality, many themed restaurants. The real SHOW is the central area of the resort with different stores and an amazing auditorium/theater with high quality night shows. Be aware that many rooms are relatively far from the beach/pools, therefore a long walk is needed to move from/to some rooms. The hotel provide golf cars to move people around passing by at every 15 minutes in certain drop off points. Overall I recommend this hotel.

The place is beautiful but the insights without old and unrestored. The adult rooms are far from the beach and the best restaurants. The carriage is insufficient and stops working before the restaurants close. If you're with a disabled it's very bad.

Went there on 2015. Hotel had LOTS of free services, was very pleased by the adult section. We could reserve at 3 different restaurants in the week, spa available, and service was good. Hotel could be renovated to look more sophisticated but other than that it looks good and evenm the beach looks wonderful. I could have spent all week in the resort and would not have the time to do everything!

Great get away hotel. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Everything is really all inclusive. Including the Margaritas. The beach is magnificent white and the sea is amazingly blue. Ask for a beach front room, it is well worth it, since the hotel area is very big.

Great place to enjoy family. Very good activities on the beach. Level shows at night. Hotel infrastructure of the best, not lacking anything, common spaces, recreation, relaxation, etc. All very well thought out so that nothing will bore you and enjoy both in sunny days and rain.

Love this resort. Food is good, drinks are cold, service is decent, nice pool and perfect beach. I didn't like that when I went to the guest services desk to ask for directions, I got a high pressure sales pitch because there is already too much of that here. Other than that, it's a great place.

Nice resort. We stayed in the newer adults only section near the reception. This is as far as you can get from the beach. The adults only pool was excellent and of course the staff throughout were first class. We had a few issues with the room, safe not working, phone not working, lights not working. But these were promptly dealt with after a trip to the front desk. The entertainment was very average and seemed to be aimed at 8 to 10 year olds so I didn't manage to sit through to the end any night. I understand the limitations in budget and also trying to cater to the variety of ages but the entertainment really was amateurish. I thought the food was excellent and we especially enjoyed the French restaurant. A couple of our party got sick after eating in the Italian so I didn't try that one.

It is a very nice hotel but it lacks some things. In my visit with children I found that the hotel failed in some respects such as entrance to the dining room with cart, washing of bottle, food for small children, distance to the beach and swimming pools etc. The rooms also have 4 stars. Food and adult activities I found almost 5 stars. Overall very nice but be careful if you go with young children.

Huge resort but decent food. The decor is nice. The rooms are average. Restaurants are good. The staff was nice. The beach is good but the chairs are so far back and shade is lacking. I’ve been to over 15 all inclusives and while this one was good it definitely was at the lower end of my experiences. Was here for a wedding. Cut off our bracelets for the wedding and they gave us a huge hassle to get them back on. Like come on we have a huge group of people sent to your resort paying to be here for the wedding never less the cost of the wedding. And only the mom and dad and bridal party cut off the bracelets like 10 people max. I would be SO mad if I have a blue or gold wristband in all my wedding photos. Also with the different “levels” of wristbands they also gave us hassle at the adult pools about a few of us being there without the right wristband even though we are all adults and it’s not even that busy. And we are here for a wedding as stated above. For weddings they should be a bit more helpful with the areas and bands for the wedding. I understand the policy is there for reasons but when you say I was in the wedding can I please get a new wristband there should be no problem it shouldn’t be a hassle.

The place was a great value for the money. Overall, we had a fantastic trip! Only two complaints: They push time shares on people and it borders on harassment. Sorry, but we won't take out a loan for vacations — that's absurd. Second (and the biggest reason I'm not giving it 4 or 5 stars) : our room REEKED of mold. It was so awful, I could barely sleep. However — the wonderful staff were great and gave us a de-humidifier (which we literally had to empty 4-5 times each day). If we choose to return (the beach was fantastic, by the way! ), we will stay closer to the beach because we were all the way on the other side of the resort — maybe the rooms further away don't stink like mold? Other than that — some of the restaurants were great, beach was beautiful — friendly staff. They need to update the moldy part of the resort!

Giving this place two stars is very generous. When we first arrived the line was long to check in and when we finally got up there the ladies at the front desk were very unhelpful. They didn't even explain where our rooms were or anything else about the resort. They also said our luggage would be there in 5 minutes, two hours later and we were calling the bellboy for 30 minutes because of the busy sound. When we decided to walk up to the main lobby we found a shuttle guy and he generously grabbed our bags for us. Don't bother trying to call anyone on the phone because nobody will answer and even if they do they won't understand you. The food was extremely disappointing and they only had one place for breakfast, the one appetizer I enjoyed was cold the second time. You truly need to know Spanish in order to go here because almost nobody speaks any other languages. Asked for a new comforter and never got it. Although this may sound picky there was very few spots for Wi-Fi. People were smoking above our room and it was very evident by the smell in our bathroom. We had to change rooms because our air conditioner was lacking and the other room smelled like something died in it. Don't waste your time!

Great resort. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Resort is quite large and requires a bit of walking if you're in the adult exclusive area. Beach is beautiful. Room smelled musty and had some signs of mould though. Hard not to when you have 90% humidity!

Second year visiting Sandos Playacar. The people here are great and the food is great. The nightly entertainment is amazing. From last year to this Sandos has stepped up their game on their costumes. Every night they have a different show. They also have different activities on the beach everyday. Lots of fun even if you don't step off the resort. The one big complaint I have is the Royal Elite. Last year my husband and I purchased the Discovery timeshare from the Royal Elite. We came in last year through RCI and the Royal Elite gave us the best of everything and showed us the best of everything. This year we used the time purchased from the Royal Elite and was not given what they had promised the year before. Very disappointing. We were placed in a Jr. Suite which is pretty small for a family of 5. Very disappointing after staying in an hacienda the year before and mislead to believing we would stay in them when using the time purchased. The resort is very nice, but we will not be staying here again. To bad the Royal Elite ruined it. I took many family members here this year because of the great service last year.

Sandos Playacar enables a fantastic vacation. We recently traveled to Mexico and stayed at Sandos with two other couples. The beach is fantastic and the adult section, although a good ten minute walk from the beach, is great. Service at the adult pool was fantastic (David E and Luis) and the food is good. Beach, Service, and surroundings are awesome. Rooms, Pools, food, and communication (English) was very good. Food wasn't five-star, but I didn't need to wear a suit or even long pants so it was great for me! You'll see coati (animal) around the pool, they're harmless and fun to watch. We saw a couple monkey from our room at the extreme back of the resort against the jungle. Items that could be improved — in-room refrigerators aren't very cold, several tiles need fixing in the adult pool, safe in room was not bolted to wall, golf cart shuttle from adult arena needs to run more frequently, and Sandos should clearly identify who works for the hotel (to help me) and who works for the Vacation Club (to sell the Royal Club). I want to be clear that this is a very nice hotel! I would NOT HESITATE to return.

My wife and I went to Sandos for our second-year anniversary and we're attracted because of the cheap price and good reviews. Plus they upgraded us to an Signature Elite package for free! Still, we saw firsthand the disparity between a higher-class resort and Sandos Playacar. FOOD (2 stars) : This was by far our biggest complaint. The food at Sandos is awful. I never expect buffet food to be stellar but Sandos really made no effort to offer even marginally-good tasting food. They boast of different kinds of buffets — — Italian, International, and Mexican — — but in reality, all the buffets offer the exact same bland food, save for a single stereotypical offering depending on the nationality. Room service meals are an absolute atrocity. Even the restaurants don't offer anything I can't make at home rather easily. The only restaurant worth going to is the one located in the Elite area for those wearing black wristbands. Breakfast and lunch are restricted to the Elite, but dinner is open to everyone (although there may be a wait). This restaurant was excellent. It's true fine dining. I'd skip everything else and eat there each night you stay at the resort. Something else to bear in mind: the alcohol is underwhelming. One of the people trying to sell us timeshares admitted that they water down the alcohol in the non-Elite areas and save the best alcohol for the Elites. We could taste a lack of alcohol in our drinks. Disappointing.

The food is excellent. There is a lot of activity on the very site of the hotel. The staff are friendly. Our room is good, but the room of a couple of friends leaves to be desired a little; There was no quilt on the bed of the week, one of the mirrors is no longer usable (too much breakage) and their water dispenser does not cool the water. We are 40 minutes walk from Playa del Carmen. On the beach there are many places so we do not have to go very early in the morning to book a spot. I don't regret my choice.

Excellent resort. Mostly private beaches. Wonderful restaurants. All inclusive is the way to go. All the staff speaks English which is a huge benefit. Just a great solid vacation destination for families!

Excellent Hotel, parks and lush vegetation, great Beach, top-notch care, the a la carte restaurants are wonderful and the bufett incites the irresistible Gluttony … I must make special mention of the service of attention on the Beach, while it is private to the Vacation Club Royal Elite, is one of the best I have ever met… Only I would like to make a suggestion on increasing the quality of carts and frequency to move to the guest … with that would be really unbeatable … Congratulations.

It's far more likely that we are going to sell and stop paying, a lot of discrimination, room with patches and that you are "partner royal elite" do not deliver what they promise word, and then say that you review the contract but if you want to sell more that if¡¡¡¡ for areas more premium but you want to sell, nape were able to change a mirror all stained, bathroom tub dirty the entire stay, main door falling down almost, almost, very bad experience and just say do request that they speak with a certain luis ramirez the solves it all, it is incredible that this happens and more with the national tourism pesimo of truth, wonderful place naturally, staff mostly excellent but with a few that do not deserve to be there, review please.

In Sandos Playacart we stole into the room. Very nice hotel but it is not safe, there are surveillance cameras in the corridors. It hurts!

Very good Hotel. For couples, I recommend paying bracelet-GOLD, including best room (giant, with a living room, whirlpools, etc, etc), areas for adults only including breakfast, a sector of beach and the exclusive vip club. Recommended.

Just got back for a wedding there was great but. Severvice from worker was wonderful always smiles an hellos. Upper staff not so much especially in main lobby in the first entrance. Could tell the difference between the workers (great people) and lower an upper management (no people skill, terrible), As a manager myself you need to lead as example, the working staff saved this resort with smiles an common courtesy. The food was OK, service around the pool was excellent, fast an efficient. We had a lot of people there, visited pretty much all the rooms, rooms by the beach smell like mold (family side, blue bands), the adult side closes to main lobby pretty nice (gold, black bands), no options for family up grade that sucks. Going back to playa next year but most likely be staying at another resort.

The place and the beach very pretty. The hotel is cute on the outside and something came down on the interior (the maintenance in many cases are against you claim). The friendly people but that before any problem is not know what to do. In our case we flooded the room for leaks in the roof and then a second flood and some of the pressure off we moved (we were not the only ones). That if, in the output they wanted to charge us all what is commanded out to dry… The animation on the beach is not good and there really is a lot that can be done especially to the boys. A bit annoying is that they want to sell you a membership and very bad treatment on the part of the people who do it when you are not interested in the product. Another temita is the bureaucracy if you want to make igresar the doctor of your system pre-paid (happened to a friend). Only go if you pay 150 dollars and serves you the doctor of the place, which in addition is not within the complex. The restaurants and food good, like the shows in the evening. In short: the place is very cute, but fails the people and their supervision.

Simply the best there is! I stayed a week and be fascinated! The food, the amenities, the area for adults the spa! Everything is super amazing! I never was spent so well! All super friendly! An experience like this is priceless!

Over run with holiday makers and not enough staff and food is cold in the adult section at breakfast!

Just left… bech was very clean and the pools were clean. The main lobby does not have air! The food at the buffets wasn't good the Italian buffet was the best BUT they are not air conditioned so I hope you like to sweat while you are eating. The shower in my room had no hot water, you have to save a beach chair with a towel at 7am, they only have dos equis beer at the bars and they close at 12. You can get sol beer sent to your room via room service. Overall the rooms were nice. The main pool was like bath water I suggest going to the pool by the haciendas. Lots of families the shows were good. BRING BUG SPRAY! Horrible mosquios I doubt that I will come back to this resort.

I am waiting for the reply for a return of a fishing tour where I had to return cash (and was not a little) and I think that consummated the scam, started by a man named Jesus (go name) that serves the tours on the beach. The hotel is good as almost all of the rivera Maya, but EYE. On the day of arrival you cite to give you explanations of benefits, and others, you steal two hours to get you to buy a package they offer as the eternal salvation of your vacation where you uncover bottles of champagne and they play very organized for that sprints like a horse. (everything is armed and moved you can get know waaaaay dollars) beware!

The place is very quiet, ideal for families, I travel alone and I stayed in the sector for adults, very good experience, there are a lot of staff that will take care of you and pamper you with their drinks, to me it is not a place 5 stars, I rate with 4 stars, the food is typical of self service; You are missing the option for those who do not eat with salt and we are vegetarian, although there were options for salads, this was very basic. The beach is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff, very polite, friendly and above all friendly and willing to solve any inconvenience. The facilities have an air of decadence, although they are clean in the bathrooms lack the bidet, something that almost all of south America do spindle. I recommend it for those who are not familiar with services of 5-star and since you are going to feel the lack of certain detales.

We spend the whole week there, WOW what a place! We Loved it there and we will for sure go back. We loved IDRIS, CARLOS (at the Buffett) IVAN, VECENTE. And everyone. We also Loved the Mexcian Resturant there. Did not care for t he Brazillian place much. Over all 5 star all the way.

The guest relations was horrible. The hotel ended up charging us another $1700 because of a miscommunication with some time share we were supposed to attend but couldn't because we didn’t have a "major" credit card. They were very inflexible in trying to help us resolve this issue. They said "sorry you have to leave the hotel or pay us 1700 for the remainder of your stay" and claimed it was our fault for "not providing them with the opportunity to show us the time share" all because we didn't have a "major" credit card. The activities were standard shows and beach games. They had additional overpriced activities. Going anywhere from the hotel will cost you 20.00 American round trip. The adult section of the resort had a nice pool and swim up bar but was a long walk from the beach. The staff at the restaurants and bars were very nice. We saw 1 roach in our room. Would not recommend.

When you are flojisimo and want to go to the beach to sit and rest from the life, sandos playacar is the best place haha.

Best place for family vacations! super friendly service and very responsive. Plenty of activities for kids, white sand beach, entertainment, food and drinks. Life in Playacar is great.

This company has been repeatedly phoning my mobile and business phones for over a year. I have been polite and courteous, letting them know that I am not interested in the services of an all inclusive resort. I prefer to travel off the beaten track when I go to mexico. I have politely listened to long schpiels about their resorts and services only to have them hang up on me the second I ask how to have my number removed from their call list.

We stayed here and had a great time, the kids loved it and we loved the adult pool where we could get away from all the craziness. The food could have been better, big selection but nothing that was really great. Huge resort though, and on the secluded end of the beach, so that was really nice. We'll definitely come back.

Really, everything was great. Good rooms, good restaurants, great beaches and excelentisima attention to the customers in the bambola by the efficient and sympathetic diony moral.

They sell this as a Ädults Only but is not. One part of the hotel, maybe 20% only Adults, teh rest is shared with all teh families and the thousand childrens around. There's a beach adult side which there's also kids from the regular side resort and scurity do not tell them anything. It was frustrating to pay for something it wasn't. To eat in the A La Cart Rest. RSVP is needed and it was always booked, so you must book as soon as you walk-In, herwise no options to eat but the Mexican Buffet/International, which is aren't bad but ren't great. The Japannesse Rest is a must. Also, when you visit this Sandos, you can take a Taxi to Playa Del Car and use the facility that Sandos own there and eat and drink free there. Donot waste your time with promotions/time chares etc, unless you have an extra day to waste. If you do the walks/thru in the time shares and romotions, you can get tickets for the Excursions at half price or even free. Xcaret — Xor, Xla Excursions are a must. Enjoy the tequila.

We just returned yesterday. Absolutely fabulous! This resort was ideal for our family vacation and caters for all age groups. I just wish we had stayed for longer. Food, rooms, beach, service, all first class.
