If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIBully. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! I recently vacationed here with my family, and was astonished with the quality and beauty of this resort. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted with instant relaxation as you step into the indoor/outdoor resort lobby. The staff are very helpful, and lead you to the restaurant where you eat your first meal. The resort is an all inclusive, and the buffet goes on forever! I could have stayed in the beautiful outdoor restaurant for the whole trip! After you go up to your room, I recommend putting on your swimsuit and heading to the pool or beach! That first step in the sand is magical, and the feeling stays with you the entire trip. The staff will walk by you frequently, making sure you are happy, and bringing you drinks as you please. However, after a day at the pool or beach, you will be hungry! The buffet is open all day, and does not require reservations. However, if you are looking for something a little more fancy, I recommend reserving a meal at one of the resorts many fancy restaurants. After your meal, there are shows you can go see, or you can head back up to your room through the jungle like trail, and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.

Great Iberostar resort as usual. The resort is beautiful, especially the jungle area, and the wildlife is really cool. The pool and bar areas are wonderful as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. The only complaint I have is that the food wasnt that good. I was really disappointed on the selection of local, Mexican foods. I don't want pizza, french fries, and hamburgers when I'm in another country… I want their traditional food. Iberostar resorts usually have a great selection of fresh juices, but this one was lacking in this area as well. Overall this was a great resort and good experience. If the food was better it would have pushed this to a five star rating.

Excellent stay, the facilities, the food and especially the animation team with Irvin, Bob, Alan, Jeff, and several of them as well in the Star Camp to have fun and my mado to our children until the night! Thanks Fernanda, Vanessa, Ana Analuz and all those working in the mini club!

Great food, great facility, great grounds, great service, friendly and helpful staff. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the beach. Seaweed is a problem for most of the resorts on this stretch of beach. Some days are better than others. On the best day it's tolerable, on the worst, the entire swimming area had seaweed on the surface. So it's not just this resort but the area with this issue as I understand it.

Without words! Mexico is beautiful and its people too! The hotel is unbeatable! Everything works with a clock! WONDERFUL experience, which I hope is not finished! Thank you for making my vacation an unforgettable experience! I will return without a doubt! THIS ARGENTINA IS GOING GREAT! ⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘

We had a extraordinary vacation! The place is wonderful a nature reserve really fantastic with all the green that one can imagine. The Young people in charge of the entertainment both day and night, are actually passed are very good at what they do! The hotel was good and not lacking in detail, super flawless. And the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We Will Return Iberostar Toucan.

A week of exceptional romance. The rooms on the seaside are worth the price. We ate well, it was clean. Super!

We were there a total of two times. In the year 2000 and 2006/2007. Last time we stayed three, instead of two weeks. That was also good because we needed a week to get used to the climate. As a normal central European, this was necessary:) The facilities and organisation (e. G. Excursions) are well thought out and are therefore recommended. Also the service and the quality of the food is right. All in all you can recommend the hotel complex. If we can, we would like to book again. This time, however, with our two children, which we did not have at the time:)

Mixed reviews here, there is nothing wrong with the resort itself but the experience was subpar. The receptionists were mostly unhelpful. Tessa also laughed at us, I'm not sure she understands English or Spanish? The food was not good. I came to Mexico for some amazing Mexican food and it was horrible. All the restaurants were bad. The buffet was better but it is the same thing every time. We ended up going into Playa del Carmen to eat and instantly the food was amazing. One thing I wish I had known when I booked was that the resort was in Playa Car not Playa del Carmen. We would have chosen a different hotel. Playa Car is a secluded bubble for tourists. It is not a good way to experience another country or culture. The beach is beautiful but covered in seagulls or pigeons because of all the food. Then the family next to you would throw them some food and suddenly there are 50 gulls dive bombing you. It was not cute. We did not have this problem on the public beaches in Playa del Carmen. The drinks are included but so weak I don't think it was even worth it. There are a lot of things to do on the beach but snorkeling is not one of them. I wish that had been clearer. Also I wish the website made it clear what exactly is included or available for you to rent. We brought our own snorkels but found out they were included in the price we already paid. Overall this is a family friendly spot.

Proximity to other things is good short cab rides anywhere. We also have been enjoying the venue itself, jungle is great. We had food at the Italian restaurant and enjoyed it this evening, our server was great. Beach is clear, drinks easily accessible. Enjoyable, quiet quaint resort.

Beautiful place, especially for me because I love animals and they fit so well with the atmosphere here. Major issues though, drinks were EXTREMELY watered down. I'd say only 10% alcohol in their bottles. Also some very rude receptionists! I never got a straight answer as to what those motion lights/ camera was doing in the bathroom though Everything else was perfect, awesome cooks, great food, beautiful views and culture!

I had a very bad experience here! Receptionist named Tessa told us to go to the other hotel for cigarettes. Once I went there they said they have the exact same thing there. I went to confront her and asked for a manager. She stood by the door laughing and didn't go get a manager. She completely blocked the door would turn to look at as and then turn back around. It was BIZARRE! I spoke to Minauell something (lady at the front desk in the morning) and said I need to speak to the morning manager. Manager (she had glasses and pink lipstick) was nice that day and asked me to write everything down. I did and said I'd like to know how this will be resolved and why this happened and she said she'll call right away. Two days later I hadn't heard anything and I was leaving that day. So at checkout I went down to see what was happening. to my shock they said that Tessa thought I said cigars, which wasn't true because I showed her a cigarette case. Anyway I said "well what about the situation about the manager and her laughing and just standing in the corner" and the manager said "oh well we didn't speak about that shes off right now". I said I rather fix this now and she just shrugged terrible attitude from the management, and from the receptionists. Ruined everything for us.

The attention is good, for the course that was given the staff of the hotel is very attentive and we were provided the necessary to meet the objectives of the course; Both didactic and visual material and the refreshments were rich.

Spend divine holidays, not lacking anything, cozy complete quiet style and different. I felt very comfortable. I'll be back soon.

Excellent service. The breakfast was very good. Very rich food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable rooms with air and very well equipped. Spectacular Entertainment! … I recommend it because it is excellent hotel.

The rooms are a bit outdated, cramped, beds and pillows aren’t what I would call comfortable. The water in my shower fluctuates from boiling hot to chilly as if were programmed to do so, like a sine wave. When we first got in to our room there were ants everywhere and the front desk told me “with this being in the jungle ants are bound to be in a few rooms. ” Also it’s supposed to be a family resort but we came with our toddler and there aren’t really any play areas for a rainy day (which we had many of on this trip) and they put us on the second floor with our stroller and accessories, there aren’t elevators here. It seems as if this resort used to be the place to go about 10 years ago but, in my opinion, they stopped caring about quality and started caring more about pushing sales like their time-share when all you are trying to do is book a reservation for dinner. It seemed as if there are two different teams of cooks at this hotel, I barely ate any of the prepared food the first two days. It was as if everything was cooked with salt water. It was good 4 out of 6 days though. A positive note of the trip is that the pool and beach are great, very accommodating for how many people are here. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone coming to Mexico. Look elsewhere, I’ve been to other resorts that are about the same price point but exponentially different in quality.

It is located in a jungle area, different animals coexist between the way to the beach, has different kinds of restaurants, people or staff is requested and very friendly. Ideal for families, young people, and children. It has for adults or with difficulties, vehicles to transport them.

Excellent Hotel in every way, very quiet, family-themed hotel and the jungle is very good, facilities old but well maintained, animals loose in all the Hotel, staff very friendly, the beach very nice, has some debris but nothing to worry about, the only but that I see is that sometimes meals are something past of salt both in the Buffet and a la carte restaurants, super recommended the hotel, without a doubt I will return to that hotel for the next.

Stayed at the Quetzal. Was at the toucan alot. We loved it! We had 3 ocean view rooms. Beautiful rooms. Right on the beach! So nice! We will be back.

Amazing place with an amazing staff. Spent 5 days days here and it is one of the best resorts I have been too. It's clean and everyone makes you feel welcomed. Shout out too Gabriel, one of the managers there. He was super nice and made our trip so much more fun!

This place exceeded my expectations! I loved the treatment I received from the day I arrived until the day I left (these people know how to make their $$$). The food is repetitive but yummy and always fresh, as it is in EVERY all inclusive resort that I've been to, & yes I travel enough to know these things. The best part for me was the beach, they have Zumba every afternoon, and they also serve you drinks at the beach! Our server (Claudia) was super sweet and SO personable to the point where she knew everyone's name and favorite drinks… WE LOVED HER! I was there early June and it was extremely HOT. Take lots of SPF and a hat for the summer months because it feels like 150 degrees. I can't wait to go back to this beautiful inviting resort.

I went on vacation and with the exception of the food of the restaurant which didn't have a lot of quality and that one day I intoxique was a very nice place. The pass very well with my girlfriend and recommend it to relax, to have fun and laugh with the entertainment.

Background: I visited this resort with my husband in April 2017. Summary: Would I return to this resort? No, definitely not. Would I recommend this resort? No, I do not recommend this resort. Try a different resort in this region, or try the U. S. Virgin Islands instead to avoid the hassle of international travel. The positive: -This resort is beautiful! It was recently renovated when we visited. The exterior colors of the buildings are bright and vibrant, and the Mayan art and other touches are nice and not overdone. -We really enjoyed the jungle part of the resort. Walking through this and seeing all the animals was a highlight of staying here, and made walking from one end of the resort to the other fun, instead of drudgery. -The beach area is immaculate and the staff obviously works hard to keep it that way. The negative: -The staff speaks Spanish almost exclusively. Some speak English, but we only found a few who spoke it well and understandably. -Another very negative aspect of our trip was the food. The only options for breakfast and lunch are buffets, and the only dinner options are the same sub-par buffets, or if you make reservations at the fancier restaurants. The point of vacation is unscheduled life, so making reservations is the exact opposite of that, and we did not like it. Also, the food options at this resort make it almost impossible to accommodate people with food allergies.

His hotel is just the right size. You can get anywhere with a 5 minute walk. The natural area is amazing with Monkeys, ant eaters, flamingo's, peacocks and more. Nothing to crowded Kids area is great! Pool is huge. Never had a problem finding a lounge chair. Only on day 2 and so far so good. Wi-Fi seems to be everywhere. Only negative so far is we have a 4 yr old and we don't have a bathtub in our room. We do have a large shower. He isn't ready for that. Lol.

First off my daughter has a severe nut allergy and this resort accommodated to every her need when it came to ensuring her nut free food. Margarita,, the main chef, came out and spoke to my daughter personally at every meal and asked what she wanted to eat. She even made her special dessert. Margarita was just fabulous and I can't thank her enough for the special treatment she gave my daughter. As far as the resort goes, it is a vey nice resort, the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Besides my daughter's special meals, the food is typical all-inclusive resort buffet food, some good, some not so good. This place has some fun activities during the day. Beach area is AWESOME no rocks or seaweed, just clear blue water and soft sand. We have been here before and will stay again in the future.

Excellent place, very attractive to local wildlife and tasty food, the only downside was the type of the input that do not know treat people but all the other staff very friendly. I highly recommend the japanese restaurant.

We just came back from a week-long stay at Iberostar Tucan. We have two sons — 5 and 2 years old — and they loved it. It was our first time in Mexico and we are definitely considering coming back to Iberostar Tucan next year. The staff were very professional, pools were nice, and the room was very spacious. We also liked the food. The only minor issue we had was the refrigerator in our room wouldn't keep the beverages cold. There were no settings we could adjust. The hotel gave us a room on the first floor near the pool knowing that we have two little ones — I thought they were being very considerate. The shows were great too. Our 5-year old kept asking us to see the show every night. On our flight back home, our 5-year old told us that he really enjoyed the vacation and it really touched us. Thanks to everyone at Iberostar Tucan who made this a memorable vacation for us.

Buffet restaurant is probably the best within the resort, theme restaurants are just fair. Night shows are entertaining. Beach is good, clean, as are the pools. There are daily activities organized such as table tennis, tennis, volleyball, pool dancing, and other. Tennis, kayaks, and catamarans are free for guests (must prove proficiency to take out a catamaran).

Great food, right near the beach, everything is walking distance, the people (both dive shop and hotel) are great. If you go to the town to shop, do not believe those that say they are your waiters from iberostar, they are lying. They see your bracelet and they try to lure you in. Use a watch to cover up bracelet when going out shopping.

The service here was great! They have many people on staff, ready and able to assist you in any way! The location is beautiful, and the rooms are well equipped. I highly recommend staying here even if it's just for a couple nights!

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is very extensive and delicious. Wi-Fi available even on the beach (2 times short outage due to thunderstorm which was fixed but within 6 hours). Highly recommended for families or couples.
