Review of Playa Palms Beach Hotel 4*

Disliked · 3rd world Standard at its best. Now, I don’t normally write reviews, but felt this one was warranted. The Only nice thing about this hotel is the location and the beach isn’t even the greatest tbh and as you’d expect their pictures are very deceiving from the actual beach, itself. If you’re needing or wanting consistent hot water or internet I’d highly suggest to go elsewhere. Also, white bed spread has stained blood stains and don’t appear to be cleaned and sterilized properly. The bathroom ceiling is always leaking water and there is mold everywhere in the room. The management doesn’t not listen or care (blonde female w/ American accent) nor will they give your money back when they can not provide the basic services they claim to provide. Also, constant construction always going on, which makes it not so peaceful for the guests. Keep this in mind if you decide to stay! I requested to have the remaining days of my reservation cancelled and refunded, so I could go to a hotel which could provide hot water and internet, but they’re refusing to give me my money back since I’ve pre paid 4 weeks in advance. I’m forced to stay with no hot water again and Internet. Not worth the money, many other nicer cheaper and cleaner places nearby. I’ve been here 3 weeks total and met quite a few unhappy guests, as well. Definitely, reconsider this spot. Update; Returned back to the room from a 2 night stay in Cozumel and found mold to be everywhere in the room, the ceiling was covered in it, all over a pair of sandles and jeans. I notified management and they came to the room and sprayed bleach all over the walls and ceiling and totally destroyed my clothing with droplets of bleach. I spoke to a man who said he was management over the phone and he proceeded to tell me it was fault because I didn’t move my clothing. Now, mind you they didn’t even bother to contact me once I made the complaint and have ignored the fact they’ve ruined some of my clothing with their irresponsible acts, but clearly just don’t care. They all about money and that’s it! They never told me when they were in the room nor did I know they were going to bleach the room. The management takes 0 responsibility in anything or the state of the hotel. In fact, any complaint you have they have an excuse and it’s never their fault, it’s yours or someone else’s fault. Currently, they’re refusing to make the situation right or compensate me for destroying my clothing nor are they taking responsibility for ruining my clothes. What a dump really though!
