Excellent accommodation, excellent treatment, good location, good price, good cleaning. Super recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Horrible experience. The management and staff are rude AF. Hardly any Wi-Fi in the room and dirty, and moldy rooms and many loud guests playing their music off the balcony. The breakfast is pretty simple and consists of eggs and 2 pieces of bread, the coffee is absolutely nasty and then they give you a few pieces of fruit. We decided to leave early and go to a different hotel and we're are much happier. I didn't want staying in that hotel to ruin me an my BF holiday.

Disliked · 3rd world Standard at its best. Now, I don’t normally write reviews, but felt this one was warranted. The Only nice thing about this hotel is the location and the beach isn’t even the greatest tbh and as you’d expect their pictures are very deceiving from the actual beach, itself. If you’re needing or wanting consistent hot water or internet I’d highly suggest to go elsewhere. Also, white bed spread has stained blood stains and don’t appear to be cleaned and sterilized properly. The bathroom ceiling is always leaking water and there is mold everywhere in the room. The management doesn’t not listen or care (blonde female w/ American accent) nor will they give your money back when they can not provide the basic services they claim to provide. Also, constant construction always going on, which makes it not so peaceful for the guests. Keep this in mind if you decide to stay! I requested to have the remaining days of my reservation cancelled and refunded, so I could go to a hotel which could provide hot water and internet, but they’re refusing to give me my money back since I’ve pre paid 4 weeks in advance. I’m forced to stay with no hot water again and Internet. Not worth the money, many other nicer cheaper and cleaner places nearby. I’ve been here 3 weeks total and met quite a few unhappy guests, as well. Definitely, reconsider this spot.

From the arrival the hotel offers a warm Caribbean atmosphere.
The proximity of the rooms to the pool and the beach is simply enviable. Something that in the hotels of the Riviera Maya does NOT happen! because in these complexes one has to walk for minutes to reach the pool, the reception or the beach.
If you want to enjoy a few days of tranquility, silence, privacy, sun, pool, sand and sea, Playa Palms is the best decision.
It is also in the heart of the 5th avenue of Playa del Carmen.

Poor service, I was called to charge when I had to be charged when I arrived at the hotel, I was overcharged and I cannot modify a reservation for their policies even if I already paid.
Poor zero attention recommended.

Clean rooms. Good Wi-Fi. Great location. Walking distance to shopping & restaurants.

Enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. We had room on the ocean 1st floor. The room was clean and housekeeping keeping was exceptional. The entire staff was great. We loved sitting on our private deck. Will return and highly recommend.

Besides that it is a beautiful hotel, they treat you wonderfully well, it is the best hotel I have known in Playa del Carmen… and I also want to make public, that by mistake I was charged and they took responsibility in the best way, it's a hotel like this, I decree them with three times the success.

We stayed at the hotel last week. A very nice and friendly place. The service was excellent — the staff always helpful and friendly and everyone went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Fantastic cozy little hotel with own beach and pool. Cozy rooms with large balconies with sea views. Nice and helpful staff. They work frequently to remove the sea grass so that the beach is free from this.

Charming Beautiful boutique hotel, only complaint is you get only one key to the room. Other then that it is worth the price, super clean, I loved the patios, full size fridge and freezer, kitchen, (even though I never used it) super great staff, I highly recommend.

Hotel beautiful, pool great laid out with palm trees and other plants. Beach unfortunately full of seaweed due to seasonal conditions.

When you enter the hotel, you stand in an open, paradisiacal garden, in the middle of which is a small but fine pool.
On the right and left are the rooms, each with a small terrace with table, chairs and hammock. From this place you can watch the hotel happening — but is also seen the other way around by everyone.

It is a pity that at this time of year (we were there in mid-July) due to seaweed and fishing boats parked there in general (which, however, provide the main source of income for the locals apart from tourism), you unfortunately cannot swim in the sea. We then hiked a few hundred meters north, but unfortunately there was also seaweed and on top of that many bathers.
It was very pleasant to turn around the lounger of the hotel beach and thus look towards the lovingly designed pool area.

As a special extra, breakfast is brought to the room without exception. The basic version consists of two toast breads (which can be toasted in the own kitchenette), two croissants, jams, butter, coffee and tea. Extras such as fried egg etc. Have to be paid for. We once had the Chilaquiles and Friedeier — were fine.

The staff is very friendly. Room and bathroom beautifully decorated. Internet very good, room well equipped (toaster, mixer, microwave, hair dryer, toiletries, TV.

Great beach and services. There was a lot of seaweed but I guess it was just the bad climate as all the beaches in Cancun had seaweed. Great Rental benches and they get food and drinks to your spot.

Beautiful place, big rooms and a very nice staff. Downsides: Smelly rotting seaweed on the beach (not their fault), noisy refrigerater in the room.

It is a seaside hotel… Very cozy and romantic at night as far as the price at my fingertips… The staff were very amablr. The day I was there my friend hurt her foot on the Estrada of the hotel on the cobbler that was a little sunk and had a sprain… How my friends were installed on the top (2nd floor) They offered a room downstairs to not climb stairs and very friendly staff helped her to change and lent him crutches so that he could move from a place to Otqsro… It was very beautiful the stay in that hotel… Breakfast at the time when you ask for it no delays… The service in the room very complete and clean towels. Soaps. Shampoo.

I love to support all local businesses in my dear Playa and this one was one of them, my wife and I loved this place we were able to explore the city thanks to prime location, highlight of the trip as always the people, thank you to each and everyone of the staff working in this hotel you guys rock.

The hotel is nice and the staff are very helpful. Its location is the best for walking on Fifth Avenue. The rooms are large and very well equipped. Important to note that it has no parking and that your breakfast included is quite simple. Although it is in front of the beach is not a beach to bathe in it, you should walk 4 blocks approximately to get to the beach suitable for swimmers.

Place very well located, the room beautiful still that small very well laid out and has all the services and it is all very clean, the Internet is sensational, the pool is different in shape but perfect to spend a long time there, if you have a room on the floor Baja you have direct access to the pool and beach plus they have a hammock and a small table to eat or read. Highly recommended to spend alone, in couple or family!

Good location, very comfortable and clean rooms, fresh breakfast and good to start the day. The bad… Very small beach and you can not swim as they are parked many boats.

I really enjoyed the room and the staff. The only downside was the beach. Tons of seaweed was rotting on the beach. Very smelly. They removed it all and the following stormy day brought new piles back. It was a big problem for the entire area.

We had a wonderful stay! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We felt at home. Will definitely come back. We had our breakfast delivered to our room every morning with fresh fruit, toast, sweet breads and coffee. Location is perfect! It is right in the middle of all the activities and right there from 5th Ave. The rooms are soundproof and comfortable. Enjoyed my mornings at the beach watching all the activities with the fishermen. I highly recommend it. Thanks to all the staff, you made our stay so worthwhile!

Had a great stay at Playa Palms Beach Hotel. Breakfast served and delivered every morning to your room and you can choose what time you want it delivered. Also front dest clerk (ACOLLANY) was very friendly and helped anyway she could. The security was very friendly as well.

Cute little place, well kept, right on the ocean. My only complaint is the stinky seaweed that washes up on the beach. Cant swim and the smell is nauseating. Not their fault, the staff is great.

Beautiful well maintained beach front hotel. Highly recommended. Great for couples get away. They are working on repairing the beach erosion. Not much they can do about the sargassum seaweed washing up on the beach. Somedays better than others.

My favorite hotel in Playa del Carmen, it is unreal to be a couple of blocks from the 5th Avenue and have such a nice place to stay. Breakfast included in the room. Although it must be said, in winter the sea eats the beach and you have to walk to find a place to swim in the sea.

Excellent place. Cleaning everywhere. Kindness. Take it easy. Excellent Wi-Fi signal. Everything to cook something simple. Crockery, kitchen utensils, wine glasses, refrigerator, blender and microwave, as well as grill. Water jug, and coffee included. Super comfortable and clean bathroom.

Pretty disappointed with this hotel. The beach is absolutely not like the picture, impossible to swim or relax. There is Absolutely no privacy what so ever, the balconies and simply one next to the other. The breakfast served are really not pleasant and does not deserve 4 stars! The price is obviously way to high for the prestation since the kindness of the staff doesn't do everything. Would not recommend it.

One of the worst resorts I've been to, and I've been to many. The location is amazing, but this resort wastes it as best as it can. The maintenance work destroyed any remnants of a good experience. The beach was small, dirty, and crowded. The breakfast was partly cold and partly spoilt when they brought it in. The icing on the cake was that when I asked for my money back for the unused days of stay, they pretended to refund it, but never actually did, and that was the end of 500 additional dollars that I never saw again. The worst $800 I spent on 3 nights anywhere. Stay away.

The staff was nice. The view of the ocean was great. However, the hotel had a sewage smell in the public area and at the beach the whole time we were there so we didn't enjoy it much. Also, we weren't able to control the AC setting so the room was warmer than we liked.

The hotel no longer has a beach, only has a small area with sand but it is impossible to get into the bath as there are many ropes of the boats that are moored in that area.

Nice rooms, showing their age. Small, but nice pool. Beach sucked; a line of small boats block access; and a nasty bottom. Very good access to shopping, restaurants and bars. Very limited parking. Staff was helpful and friendly. A deal considering prices in the vicinity. If you want to party nearby, this may be the place for you.

My husband and I just stayed here for a few days and had a wonderful experience! Gorgeous hotel and on a side street so it’s quiet at night but just half a block away from the center of it all! Loved the hammock and kitchen as well as the private beach. They also had complimentary breakfast that they bring to your room! Only downside is no parking lot because of lack of space, But they even worked with us on finding a safe spot to park while we were there.

Great views. Great prices. Very easy to find and has super easy beach access. Bee y happy with our 4 day stay here. This place also has it's own private parking area with an attendant to watch the cars.

The best hotel we stayed at in Mexico. Beach front room on the first floor with a private terrace and hammock. I loved lying in bed listening to the waves and the breakfast served in our terrace in the morning.

We stayed at Playa Palms during the first week of August 2017. It was a great experience! The staff was always friendly, hospitable, and eager to help us. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool as well as sitting by the beach (great view). Daniel treated us well at the beach, where there is food/drink service. Theresa and her team did a great job with keeping our room clean and in order. I will strongly recommend this hotel to my friends and contacts (I'm not a fan of big resorts). The location was great, close to everything along Quinta Avenida. I also hope to one day return to Playa Palms! Gracias por todo!

A great service and a nice bedrooms also super clean. The only problem is the beach because there is a lot of boats docking on it and it was impossible to swim but there is nothing wrong with the hotel I seriously loved it.

Nice clean rooms, ocean views, next to beach. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Very close to la 5th peatonal Street with many restaurants and shops. 5blocks from the Port to Cozumel.

Not all their rooms have views. Even though you pay for "ocean view" room. The breakfast at the balcony is good. The location of the hotel is good. However, we found issues with mosquitos in the room. I would not stay at this hotel again.

We Love it, we Love it, we Love it here! Simplicity is so attractive here! All the staff are exceptional, friendly, polite & so accommodating. Location is perfect & don't worry, the beach will come back! I have faith in Mother Nature…

I have been coming to Playa since 1996. I've stayed at Playa Palms since it opened, and the view from the beach to Cozumel has not changed since then, even though everything behind the hotel has. Yes Playa has grown, but it keeps morphing into something better each year. The location cannot be beat: close to best restaurants, bars, clubs, DJ's, shopping, transportation, it is one of the most central hotels in Playa Del Carmen. Staff has been at hotel for a long time so that is an indication of loyalty and satisfaction with the management.

A very rewarding experience since you get in the lobby, always with smiles and very attentive, the rooms spacious and very clean, the swimming pool just in front of the sea and a very cosy atmosphere, is right in the Heart of the Riviera Maya, excellent choice to spend unforgettable holidays!

Quaint boutique hotel, at the same time there are some trade-offs. We have stayed here a few times. They do a great job of maintenance and Luis at the front office is the best! They changed from offering an included breakfast down the street to an in-house continental breakfast that is adequate to get your day started. Being right off the strip and right on the beach is great. The fact that you can be at the club, walk to bed in two minutes and not heard much of the partying that's going on within a few hundred feet is a good balance and convenient. The pool is small, not a big concern for us but it is for some. No ice machine, which I think would be a valuable addition, seeing as there are only mini fridges that don't really make ice. Overall, a great experience and someone is always willing to help in anything you need.

But when they say that includes a continental breakfast, don't be misled, it is only coffee, played and toasted bread, so that tap to pay apart a "good breakfast".

I've been coming back to Playa Palms for over five years. It has the best location on the beach with easy access to the shopping, bars, and restaurants that are just up the street. I’ve spent many afternoons on the beach with waiters bringing me margaritas and nachos. Now that they offer complimentary breakfast, it is the perfect choice for those who like the comforts of all-inclusive resorts, but want the freedom to explore the wonders of Playa!

The place is awesome. The location is right on the beautiful Caribbean and right in the heart of Playa Del Carmen. It is a very close to everything so you can walk to any of the many great restaurants in town and grocery stores. Lots of cool beach bars within 5 minute walk of the place. The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel is very clean inside and out. We love the place and are coming back.
