Today is day 2 of our 8 day stay and all we can say is this place is AMAZING! If you do not know Spanish it can seem slightly nerve racking at times such as at the airport. We purchased the all inclusive package which includes transportation to and from the airport. After you get your bags and begin to exit the airport (at terminal 4) you will find LOTS of booths with LOTS of people trying to get your attention for rental cars, time shares, excursions for hotel, etc… most are wearing similar outfits and many say Xcaret. They are not your transportation. They are trying to sell you stuff. Keep walking. Once you are completely outside of the airport find platform D. There will be an employee wearing a PINK HAT and carrying a PINK SIGN they are wearing red shirt and khaki pants with the XCARET logo and the name of all the tours on the sleeve. That is your transportation. If you cannot find this person look for a huge black tour bus with the Xcaret logo. We don’t speak Spanish and could not find this person or the black bus. We were being told to go to different places. If you find yourself lost ask someone to call the hotel for you (we have Sprint and could not call the international numbers) once on the phone with the hotel ask to speak to Viviana she is the Guest Service Manager and she is so amazing! She was able to radio the employee at the airport who came to find us! The Hotel is gorgeous, the amenities are beyond gorgeous, the staff… all bilingual, every single once has a smile on their face and everyone you pass will say hello, good evening, how are you. We had a small issue with our room key/door and stopped someone to ask for help. She didn’t make us feel like we interrupted her and within a matter of 5 minutes 5 different employees had begun resolving the issue. The staff is so wonderful and helpful. I can’t say enough about the staff! Food is amazing! Everything is amazing! I will write more later and post pictures!
