Great atmosphere, very kid friendly, staff is awesome. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the seaweed at the beach. (I know, not really the resorts fault…) But it's a bit disappointing. Once you get through it though there is some nice water and sand out a little ways.

Staff was nice. The hotel and facilities were nice too. Stayed a at the Family Club and paid extra for being able to use features like the waterpark but they had it closed off for 2 days so we couldn't gain access. We gave up trying to use it after that, also another family mentioned it was closed for a 3rd day as well during our week there. We also had a snake that may have been poisonous according to the staff tucked into the bottom gap of our room door. We got lucky because the housekeeping person saw it slither there while we were on our way back to the room or we wouldn't have known and we would have opened the door with it there. I have a 6 and 4 year old son so thought is scary. Also we had a thunderstorm one nite and the was a water leak from the ceiling outside our door, which cause a lot of mosquitoes s to nest on our door. Between the snake scare and mosquitoes we had keep plugging our door gap (which was big) the rest of our trip. I asked for a partial refund but the hotel didn't agree.

We had an amazing time there! Everything was perfect and the Pedro Garcia was excellent and very professional. He made as feel very comfortable and we really enjoy our time there. Ps he makes and amazing cappuccino! Esta pronto mi Nuevo amigo.

Ok so this hotel is great but the kids club was crazy. It was raining on our trip so we took our kid in there to blow off some steam. At first it was fine because there were 2 other little kids there but then the swarms of the older kids came in. They were acting like animals, throwing everything, running eachother over. The poor girls that worked there looked so overwhelmed by these kids. I grabbed my kid and booked it out of there. Just a heads up the ball pit is pretty unsanitary. Our some ended up getting hand foot and mouth and the doctor at the hospital said it's very common with travellers and is spread through the kids clubs. The people that work at the kids club are great and try their best, it's the other kids that make it crazy. Some kids were intentionally making other kids cry.

Since we had Yucatan princes wrist band, we could visit this resort also. Very elegant and well maintained. Good service.

I would not say it is entirely family oriented! If you have children, leave the main pool by 3… that's when all the young drunk people come out! It is absolutely beautiful and the spider monkeys you can interact with! That was awesome! The photographers do a great job but you will need a ton of money to buy pictures! $20 for one!

Lots of walking, very large. Beautiful grounds and pools. Make reservations at restaurants early, good food there. Dinner buffet has lots of choices but lacks in quality. Buffet was good for breakfast and pool side burgers and tacos are great.

We had a fabulous time at the Family Club at Grand Riviera Princess. The pirate buffet was quiet with great service, the pool side bar service was fabulous, splash park and playground were excellent entertainment for the kids during the day and the kids shows in the evening were well done and highly entertaining for kids and adults alike. And we couldn’t leave a review without mentioning the incredible ice cream parlour (we visited every day).

The rooms are especially beautiful. The service of the use is very good. I really was disappointed by the food of the buffet and restaurant a la carte, everything was prepared in advance and arrived warm or cold. In buffets, empty dishes are not changed rapidemant. The beach is very rocallieuse by cons many chairs and places available. The pools are very beautiful.

Great place. Food is fresh and hot. Staff very friendly and helpful. Huge place so lots of walking. Could use more golf cart minibus'

Great hotel… Nothing bad to say about it. Service exceptional. Nice food. I would come back anytime.

I do not doubt that the attention for foreigners is very good but the treatment for Mexicans is not.

We are on our forth night here and even with the temps being in the 70's and a little rain the services have been great. We Splurged for a Laguna Villa on the ground level. It feels like paradise… coming from Wisconsin!

Awesome place. Kind personnel. Good food. Good rooms. Nice courtesy gifts at family club. Great parties especially the bubble foam dance party on the beach almost every friday! :o. Overall it should get five stars.

Spent 8 days here last Month,, never been to a large resort like this before,, but was not impressed with the either the Buffet meals or the 6 large individual specialty restaurants. (these restaurants you can only book the preceding day,, yet 65% of the dining tables are always empty even at 7 pm why? ) The Steak House (I've always loved steak) Had to ask for my medium rare to be cooked further, it was blue, and then the quality and taste of the meat was. Well lets say as hungry as I was I only took three bites the rest went back to the garbage,, Chinese food? Not where I'm from, in Canada we're used to chow mein and prawns and sweet n sour etc. Here it was just wet slippery looong noodles and vegetables,, in the buffet area I could not after 6 days find Tortillas. This is Mexico It has to be here and after asking at least 5 staff members there directed me to these poor little tortillas that broke up as soon as you lifted them off the plate to yours and then there was nothing to actually put into them. I was looking for. You know. Ground round hamburger. Not offered and the breakfast. Even though the best part of the day for food,, the Omelets didn't offer mushrooms or bacon to add. And the Bacon? all cooked at once you had to break off what you wanted. I'm used to strips of bacon individually fried up. The free drinks are most likely watered down I could drink all day and never felt a buzz. And the whole time there I never once found Corona beer (you know Mexico's finest?

A resort like the one I met in Varadero, Cuba.
The beaches "paradisiacal" full of algae, the background with stones and bad smell.
I was fortunate to "enjoy" rain, cold wind, and little sunshine.

It was just okay. Very large resort. Easy to get lost due to size. No personal feel.

Absolutely amazing beautiful gardens all around you, wildlife amazing! Gorgeous rooms food pools sea, staff unbelievable, defo come again, restaurants wkd cant fault it, my only critique — no butter! Cant stand margarine, fresh bread hs to have butter, other than that 10 out of 10 x.

This place over booked our reservation had us on the far end of the resort. While we were there my wife got really sick turned out to be salmonella as we found out when we got back to the states. We had to cut our trip short from a nine day trip to a three day trip. It's been over a month and she is still sick. We contacted the hotel numerous of times and they will not reimburse for at least the day's we did not stay, let alone won't even take responsibility to even contact us about their unsanitary conditions and make things right. She got sick from this hotel and we have MD records to prove it. Unsanitary food preparation … DO NOT RECOMMEND staying at this hotel!

Food was overall good, staff was amazing and polite, pools were amazing for when it got really hot. Although, I might say, clean up the loose tiles or pools better, because I cut my toe so bad, blood was dripping all the way to the room. Entertainment was good though. Beach was an experience. Pool bar was something special, and basically everything was amazing. I have a souvenir too.

Excelentes instalaciones, el área del aquapark increíble, la heladería padrisima y muy rico, la playa padrisima pues parece alberca y mis hijas disfrutaron mucho. Sin embargo la calidad de comida y bebidas han sido decepcionantes.

Really good resort. Nice beach, good food, good services. Some pools need to fix the tiles but it is good overall.

The rooms are grand and spacious, the service is very well done and the location isn't too bad. The food is definitely my favourite part of the trip however and thr drinks aren't too far behind.

Great for Families — My family stayed at the family club in April of 2017. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They had different entertainment every night to enjoy. My kids loved the kids club and went everyday! I would like to thank all the staff at kids club they are all so kind and great with the kids. As special thank you to Jessica and Natalie for going above and beyond. I have to say I was little bit sad that my 5 year old twins did not want to hang out with mom! The bartender on family side was fantastic and would always make special drinks for the kids. We especially enjoyed the ice cream shop. The only down fall to the family area is, that I felt a little bit secluded tucked away on the family side, but for families with that don't want to be around the larger pools with all the action this is a great spot. Of course, you have full access to the whole resort it just easier with kids not pack all your stuff down to the main pools. The other down fall to the resort was that the pools close at 8pm and beach closes at 8pm. It would be nice if the pool was open until 10pm so everyone could cool off before bed. The resort and hotel is beautiful and will definitely be back.

Amazing, just like a Palace. Spacious in every way, every type of quizine imaginable. Every activity catered for. The staff are so obliging, no complaints whatsoever.

Great resort for families of 5. The Family Club has rooms fit for 3 kids and two adults! Bunk beds, plus a trundle bed (and still a king for the parents). Kids are well taken care of in the kids club and fed well at the pirate buffet and ice cream shop! Parents get free Wi-Fi access in the family club area and upgrades at the restaurants and bars. Going for our third stay here on spring break this year… we all can't wait!

Excellent hotel, very large, the rooms with access to the pool are very good, beach activities for kids and big, the family section if you have children I assure you will spend the best, ice cream, pirate Restaurant special for small.

Absolutely amazing for both kids and parents can't find a single thing wrong with this place. Staff, decor, food, service, entertainment, condition, value for money. Of all of the afro mentioned the entertainment being to weakest. I will be returning with my family.

We loved our time at this resort. It is DESIGNED to make parent's life easier, you are guarantee to spend a relaxing, stress free vacation while your children are kept entertained and happy with activities and a lot of amenities. Our only complains are: restaurants require a reservation for a la carte dinner, room service is not included, bartenders will make terrible drinks if you don't tip them well and we had to ask for a crib about 3 times before we had one brought to our room.
