Unfortunately not worth the money! I can't explain how this hotel got the many positive reviews. The breakfast was OK, but in the room it was incredibly warm and the coffee is served. That is, you have to wait until a waiter comes. I do not understand the concept. If self-service, then please be everywhere. Unfortunately, it looks like it's a stitch to get extra tip.

Very well located on the waterfront (1 mini sandy road to cross). Charming rooms and habitat. Only downside, the rooms are relatively opposite. Pleasant food. Welcoming staff.

The beach is nice, the hotel service. Not so much. Some waiters often ignore you (even if you're too close to them) and are very aggressive.

Very well located. The beach in front is excellent. Some rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Others are not very well located because they are in noisy areas, isolated or near the material tank. The restaurant offers good buffet spreads. The staff is very friendly.

After we moved to another room we experienced the same desaster like before. There was no table neither a chair in the room. The walls were screaming for fresh white paint. No small handtowells in the bathroom, not even on request. The telephon had no cable, dead! (EMERGENCY, NO CHANCE to call for help) The water in the bathroom was way to hot, sewer in shower was covered with a plastic lid to keep bad smell out of bathroom. The window in the bathroom was broken, we could not open it. Mold in bathroom was covered by fresh paint! Staff speaks little or no english (we don't care) There was no room service, which a 4 star hotel has to provide. Coffee at the restaurant (dining hall) was the worst we had with in years traveling the globe! No salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Service partly very slow. Chefs did not know what foods they were serving at the buffet. The we-can't-care-less attitude, we did experience in every section of this hotel. The beach bar has no running water, everything is cleaned with the same rag. The draft beer at the beach bar was a cheap bottled beer. Laundry came back wrinkled and moist. We did not have internet during our entire stay. We were told every day, maybe tomorrow. Due to many standing waters close to the breakfast patio insects were all over the place. A desinsection took place after many complains of other guests 12 days later! Unbelievable.

The hotel is very pleasant: pretty rooms with beautiful views from the balcony, on the balcony periodically lie iguanas, picturesque beach, "center" in walking distance. Do not take all inclusive, the food is the same and not very tasty, breakfasts are more or less acceptable. Nature is a fairy tale!

Amazing place. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very nice and big. We had the ocean view room so that was a plus. The food in the hotel is pretty good but the lunch is catered to American guests. I would have preferred keeping everything centered around Isla Holbox food options. The only other real issue was the amount of mosquitos. It is the rainy season so I understand but the hotel can actively try to manage that to minimize the amount of mosquitos around. That was the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star stay.

It is a wonderful hotel, they have excellent service, comfortable rooms, with air conditioning and everything works perfectly, also has hammocks outside each room, the sea just wonderful and a few meters from the lounge chairs.

This hotel was like a hidden gem, all the paths through the property are surrounded by beautiful greenery. The beach is so beautiful, white sand and turquoise water. The staff were all very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Holbox.

The place is nice but they need to install WC and pool in beach area.

I loved the place. Far enough away from the hustle, but still close to town. The rooms are very comfortable and fresh. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

An excellent place the attention on the part of all the staff was excellent definitely a wonderful place to relax the only detail would be the Wi-Fi! But it's the least if you're looking to get away from technology.

Second time around to holbox and our first time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The grounds were well kept, the lounge chairs on beach and around pool are showing some wear and tear, especially the chair cushions. The room was clean upon check-in and was kept well throughout the stay. The breakfast is buffet style and mediocre IMO. We ate breakfast in town several days out of our stay. There was a lack of variety in beer selection, cocktails were too sweet and not boozy. There is a mini fridge in the rooms which is a plus. The location of the hotel is about a 10 min walk from centro, which makes for quiet nights. My biggest gripe with this hotel, and I gather it isn’t their fault but more of a general problem on the island was the lack of pressure for the toilets. I didn’t experience this my first time around at a different hotel, and I realize the island has had more issues with sewage and infrastructure recently with the increased influx of tourist but it made for an unpleasant experience. The smell in the bathroom and around our room was awful during the entire stay. That smell carries through along the beach as well, especially on windy days. Sanitation workers were also looking around at the water in pool area one day while we were at the pool and we got a notice the hotel only had enough water for the next 24hrs, right before check out. I don’t think we will be back to holbox for a bit until the infrastructure is fixed.

Enjoyed stay but definitely over-priced. Daily breakfast was good but exactly the same each day. Hot Tub didn't work the first two days and had to ask like 3 times to get someone to come look at it. When I asked about a partial refund or an upgrade (since I didn't get to use it for 2 days, I was given attitude, so I just dropped it. Not worth the headache). Room was nice, very spacious closet, great shower. Bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi extremely spotty. One night I had to go to the front desk 3 times to ask for 2 bottles of water which were not delivered until the 3rd request. I feel like water should be easily accessible other than the two small bottles they give you each day with the room cleaning. Water is a basic necessity and for the high price I paid, I feel like I should be able to get water without such a hassle, anytime of the day or night. They have bikes for rent but they are run down and beat up, low air in the tires. Better to rent bikes elsewhere. Some of the staff — very friendly. Other staff members, not so much. Lots of tourists and families with small children at this hotel. Next time I'd stay in a place that's a little smaller and more low-key (and cheaper). At checkout, I wasn't even given a copy of my receipt, had to ask for one.

El hotel es muy bonito. Los servicios están muy bien y el restaurante es bueno. Lamentablemente, cuando llegamos el hotel estaba sobre vendido y nos movieron a otro hotel por una noche. En compensación, nos dieron pases VIP que incluyeron todas las comidas y bebidas nacionales. Una muy buena experiencia, en general.

Not a nice hotel. The rooms get dirty with sand, guests are "policed" rudely about towels, bad food, kayaks do not work. Wouldn't recommend it.

Very high cost, for what they offer. Arriving make all inclusive and premium preference, which would be 400 pesos more per person per night and only add shrimp ceviche, food low variety and low quality. They're telling you everything. A single restaurant. There are no themed dinners, no variety in the evening, no activities in the pool, which by the way is very small. They wanted to charge the mini bar.

We're actually still here and there are a lot of things that just can't be true. This spot is awesome, perfect white sandy beaches with unique bars and unbelievable Sunsets. But now let's have a look at the Hotel, we pay 200$ (ca. 150€) per night with breakfast. 1. Staff unfriendly — I asked something at the Reception and instead of answering they just left. 2. Staff not helpful — I asked 4 Times to get an simple ashtray, now I know that this hotel doesnt have ashtrays, but smoking is allowed.

Excellent place, all very well, just need to improve the menu and the quality of the food as it is not cheap at all.

This was a great place to spend relaxing days on the beach and fun nights in town. The villas had great AC and had most of what you need. We had to request a blanket for the bed, as it only had sheets upon arrival, but they quickly brought it to our room. You are given two small bottles of water each day but as you shouldn't really drink the tap water, two small bottles falls a bit short and it's a better idea to walk downtown to buy some bigger ones to stash in your fridge. The beach is just across the sand "road" behind the villas. It's more of a sand walking road where you can grab a golf cart taxi, ride a rented bike, or just walk to the town for nightlife or to see other beaches. Overall a nice place and worth considering.

Beautiful gardens The rooms nice though expensive to not have ocean view. The prices of the restaurant are very expensive there is no letter only buffet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is constantly failing. But the human warmth was very pleasant.

Very good place, room OK, no coffee maker in the room. It is very well peroooo without plan all inclusive. The breakfast is very stunted without variety, the pool is for children and there are only 10 lounges around, the beach is a few steps away is not on foot D beach.
The best thing to eat dinner is to go to the restaurants on the island and also buy them. Direct services not with intermediaries not with the hotel XQ raises the costs in more than 30% the attention of the staff is painstaking and good hello box amazing, spectacular!

Not the best hotel in the island for that price, poor Wi-Fi, bad drinks, awful breakfast. Front staff was not cooperative to reasonable requests, be aware to indicate the age of the adults visiting. We booked four rooms, for three adults they gave us two individual beds claiming that an adult is could be also a 12 year old —It was a mess with the rooms— Not exactly as shown on the booking pictures Definitely not worth it!

The hotel is worth what it costs. The service is very good and the rooms are quite comfortable and spacious. In the restaurant The breakfast is buffet but has quite a few choices.

Close to the sea very quiet the atardaceres are wonderful minutes from the center which makes your stay very comfortable the staff is very friendly and attentive and best of all this a few minutes walk although I recommend going by bike everywhere is very fun to Finitivamente is a highly recommended place.

Comfortable hotel, the food offered is varied. But still a little "canteen". The dishes warmed to the Bains Marie, its bland. There's still the griddle.
The rooms sound comfortable but very dark as the whole hotel.
The Sun baths are not directly on the beach. You have to cross the road too bad.
Thought about taking the all inclusive Premium, to have a good conntection Wi-Fi.
Overall a pleasant stay, but no surprise no animation. No Padlle when it rains… ect.

It was nice but very noisy. They were having construction during our whole stay and the construction workers were getting tools out of the third floor of our Villa. Do not recommend if you want to have a quiet time.

Someone was filming us through the bathroom window. Hotel staff knew who it was, advised us not to call the police and then disappeared when the police came. It is unbelievable that a hotel won't accept their responsibility in protecting a guests privacy! Don't stay in this place if you care about your privacy and security.

The location was great, not too close to the center of town, but also not too far. I thought the beach was nicer towards that end of the stretch as well. I opted for a massage and it was fantastic, one of the best massages I've had. I also utilized their services to book the whale shark tours which was another awesome experience. The rooms were clean, the bed was a little springy and the shower didn't have too much pressure. The water also didn't stay warm for long, but not a big deal when you've been in the sun all day. The AC worked flawlessly which to me is what matters most. I ate breakfast their every day, didn't try lunch or dinner. Breakfast was good with made to order omlettes and smoothies/juices in addition to standard buffet fare. The Wi-Fi is very slow, but I think this is constant around the entire island.

Villas Paraiso del Mar is a really nice hotel in Holbox. The all-inclusive totally worths it, the food is nice and the drinks are ok. The pool is little but the sea is across the street.

Very charming beach front hotel — seems very family friendly. Nice beachfront. Our shower barely dribbled and the Wi-Fi was super slow but that could be because of the island. The guy at the front desk with the braces was so sweet and helpful, and drove us to the ferry himself when we couldn't get a taxi.

It was for sure the best decision to book this hotel: cost vs amenities and place. Plus: breakfast has on demand juices. Prepared when asked. When coming to Holbox book HM Villas Paraíso del Mar.

Just arrived this afternoon and this place is incredibly charming! The villas are separated by paths of well-groomed sand and manicured gardens. Very chill but comfortable. Dinner was charming and calm. I'll let you know how things are after the second day.

Simply put, amazing. We stayed here for 3 nights 2 years ago with our (then) two-year-old daughter after having spent 4 nights at Playa del Carmen. The most upsetting thing was that we didn't come here first! We would have spent our entire vacation here and most definitely plan on coming back. Here's the scoop: OK, check-in took a little while as we were a couple hour early. We had to wait. A pain, right? Not so much when you're lounging on a couch in the open-air lobby with a cold drink in your hand (that you didn't even have to ask for! ) and the hotel staff constantly updating you on your room status. When we got to our room (at the top of the spiral staircase), we were very pleased. Not too big but certainly not small, it had a nice big bed, a cozy sitting area with a big picture window, a mini-fridge, a good-sized closet and a bathroom en suite (that was far enough away from the bed if you know what I mean). The sitting area could be closed off from the rest of the room — perfect for my husband to have his coffee without waking me and the baby. The food was wonderful. Spectacular, even. My husband is a notoriously picky eater and even he was going back for seconds. I really want the recipe for their corn chowder — muy delicioso! We still dream about it.

Very clean, food very rich and the EXCELLENT care a place to rest and relax without a doubt, but if you want to do activities also gives you the options. Kayak, ride a bike or rent a golf cart to all the services you offer in the hotel, in addition, that is the only one on the island that is the all-inclusive. Me and my husband we simply CHARMING.

Very good location and very nice. Only the kitchen is not so great. I can only recommend to book not all inclusive. There are much better restaurants in the area.
