I was looking for a place for a wedding and stopped in. I was staying at Park Royal and this place treated me with great customer service. They have a kids center where the kids can be dropped of and play with out being informed the sun. They do close for lunch to keep that in mind. The pool area was amazing. They have villas that fit up to 12 people! I didn't get a chance to eat here but the restaurant look really fancy. They also have an area of rooms that are for adults, so if you are looking not to be bothered by the sound of children in the early morning, you are in luck. Super easy access to the beach but thats Cancun! The check in area was nicer than most I've seen to take your time and walk around a bit if you need to kill some time before your room is ready.

Will not stay here. Ever. Again. We purchased our trips after seeing on their website the beautiful pictures of the swim up bar, infinity pool, etc. The price was high for this considering the swim up bar and infinity pool was closed for construction when we got there and failed to mention this to us, the beach was dirty filled with algae all over the place, there was only one pool with no spots to lay and alcoholic drinks were poor. When we asked to speak to the manager about this and how unhappy we were he refused to give us anything to make the vacation better for us. We were very unhappy and tried to speak to the manager 3 times and every single time he was hiding from us and telling his staff to tell us that he was not here and then we would see him at the front desk 10 min later. Terrible customer service from management. Only good thing was the workers, they are all very nice and hard working.

This resort is below average. We stayed here for our honeymoon and were disappointed. They advertise their infinity pool and swim up bar and then it was under construction the whole time. Several of the main floor rooms were under construction as well so there was very loud noise in our room all week. The resort is also part of a large group of hotels and they invite you to a breakfast where they proceed to tell you about a member program you should join, and they do not take no for an answer. My husband tried politely saying no and the man Michael that we were working with got visibly mad and started raising his voice at us. We just wanted a nice relaxing week and instead we felt as if we were getting pressured into different things all week. The hot water ran out in our shower one evening to where there wasn't even any water coming out of the shower head. Last but not least, we were promised a "honeymoon package" while staying there. We didn't receive it for the first three days after asking at least once about it. When we finally received our package it was a piece of cake and champagne, but the cake read "happy birthday"… Just seems as if they just have such a lack of customer service. We may return to Cancun some day but we will NOT be staying here ever again.

I'm in a hotel in remodeling between masons and the noise of drills, tires, the area for adults with pool bar and boarded a big disappointment, negotiate for a compensation, but my time did not come back.

Beautiful resort, "all-inclusive" is worth it, but management is iffy. They only seem interested in selling you upgrades and timeshares. The actual servers, cleaners, and workers were amazing. Please tip them. Make sure to read all the rules and schedules for each restaurant as some have dress codes and need reservations.

Place is clean, reserved a queen received a full sized. Beds are hard as concrete. It rained while we were here and all the rooms flooded. Management said they did not know when they could clean as they did not have people to do it. All inclusive so far has been really weak on food choices. The grounds are nice, the regular staff seems nice. Managment is not.

The resort was first class cannot say enough about the people. I travel a lot and find the people make the difference, special shout out to The staff at the Oriental restaurant Yajaira Garcia and Bravilio for making it special and concierge Darwin your the best. All rooms are beautiful. Its new design allows everyone to have sea views. The staff is very friendly and the services excellent.

Excellent place, very comfortable. Lots of variety and great restaurants. Fun and quiet at the same time. Very good service. We didn't have any bad experiences.

Very well maintained hotel with a beautiful beach. Delicious drinks and good food.
Also on the beach one is constantly but unobtrusively asked for his drink wishes.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this resort! We tried dinning with reservations at the Oriental, Mexican and Italian restaurants. The Mexican place is a bit on the low end but the Oriental and Italian restaurants are classy. The three restaurants are worth a shot! The buffet has great food and super friendly staff. It's worth leaving a $1 or $2 tips every time you eat or drink and before you know staff will go even more out of their way to make your stay a great experience. On the low side, you would get timeshare sales pressure and it does appear you cannot run away fast enough from them. Although the experience was great I felt uncomfortable handing out a copy of my passport at check in. I wonder how they will protect my personal information and when will it be destroyed? Except for timeshare pressure and copying my passport at check in, all else was fantastic! I will keep this resort on my short list.

We stayed there a couple of years ago and it wasn't at all what I expected for an "all inclusive" resort. If you're paying for all inclusive, all inclusive is what you should get. That means you shouldn't have to make reservations to get into the restaurants that they advertise. When they say restaurant reservations are full, they really are not. They only fill them half way, which is a rip off. They want to keep as many people as they can out of the nice restaurants so they have no choice but to eat at the buffet, which makes it cheaper for the hotel. Instead of giving you their best they want to go cheap on you. Alcohol is the same way. The alcohol is not top shelf. It's cheap and they water it down. Instead of giving you good quality alcohol they give you cheap stuff with water in it. Wi-Fi was horrible. The staff weren't very friendly and kept chasing us down trying to get us to look at time shares which got annoying. Once when my wife and I were going to look at a presentation outside the resort, one of the staff members followed us down the walkway to the cab that was waiting on us trying to see where we were going. They didn't like it that we were going to look at a presentation somewhere else. They acted like vultures. The beds were hard as rock. Terrible stay. Will never go back. Save your money and go to the Moon Palace or one of the other Palace resorts. Those are real, top notch resorts. What they advertise is exactly what you get.

Excellent resort. Every employee was helpful and seemed positive. The pool with the bar in it, is a very nice area looking out over the beach. I could have stayed there looking at the view forever. We initially received a ground floor room for the first time but they moved us up to the 5th floor after a night. The view from the 5th floor was very worth it! Food is solid, nothing crazy; good enough for the price in my opinion. The bus ride to the area with the clubs (if you are interested in that type of thing) is less than 5 minutes and runs 24/7, very convenient. Highly recommend this resort :)

The Oriental restaurant was our favorite. Book the restaurants for your entire stay as soon as you can, they book up fast. Staff were all really nice, our room was fantastic, best part was the view. Beach was kept in fantastic condition.

Great food and rooms are comfortable. Lacks nightly themed shows like other resorts have. They need a theatre with a bar playing music at night. The beach is great and the workers do a great job of making sure you are doing well.

Excellent place to vacation the staff treats you as king very polite and always on the lookout for you to meet your minimum needs that are I love the place their excellent thematic restaurants mainly the Chinese and Italian mmmm the Mexican Mmmm is good but not like the others the beach Padrísima there are two pools the room at least the one that we select excellent we celebrated our 25th anniversary and we decorated the room awesome as well as the door I really liked the detail of the door the buffet of the Breakfast is good only lacks a bit of variety as it is almost always the same but if I would return and if I recommend.

Very good food and facilities. The reception staff and the hotel guides the truth that only interest your money. Nothing else.

Beautiful setting, food was decent to good (Italian restaurant and seafood lunch spot were particularly good). Service was outstanding. Upgraded to the Royal tower for a fee, room and balcony were gorgeous and Butler was helpful.

Beautiful. Quiet and very good Operation. However, If you want to experience something in the Evening, you are out of place here. However, for those needing Recovery the right one.

Delicious, with quite good variety and portions that manage to satisfy, it is difficult to arrive for the first time, especially when going by your own foot. The account can be high but still fair, pet access is not allowed.

Excellent Hotel. The room was very good and the breakfast was very good. Three specialty restaurants: Italian, Mexican and Oriental, very good all of them. The attention of the waiters in all the spaces excellent. And many other nice details. Highly recommended.

I was visiting a Friend here. Nice Hotel but a bit confusing. But otherwise ok.

Excellent, you don't stop eating. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very spacious and clean bedrooms. The great pools and their water activities of ten. It's worth it to come and stay here.

Hotel is very clean. Had a lovely room with a sea view that was very clean and modern. Couldn't have really wanted much more from the room. Staff are amazing and very attentive. Food was of very good quality and the restaurants are a nice addition. Wouldn't recommend the steak restaurant. Expected a higher quality of food and service especially when paying an additional charge where in reality the food was sub par and one of the waiters extremely rude. All in all it was a nice hotel and holiday.

Overall it was a good experience; however there was no liquor in the mini bar and you were limited only to 2 beers a day. They don't start serving alcohol until after 10am which is a real shame, even then, the did not always have Xtabentun stocked. You can expect rail and call liquors but nothing top shelf or of any real note. The food was good; however, it would have been nice if el Oriental was opened. Not sure if they're remodeling or if it's just permanently closed. Their bar indoors needs to be remodeled, it is in soar shape. Other than that no real complaints.

Hotel itself is a nice place and has various venues. Not the best but in this area is solid choice. Wifi is very bad and don't expect much there, sometimes is difficult to listen online radio and not to mention YouTube. Food is great and they offer various restaurants in the hotel area, through, for some you must make a reservation during the day, so it's not as easy in case you booked this hotel during business days. Another fact that can drive you mad after few days is that the place is huge, so I had the situation where my door lock stopped working and it takes about 10mins to reach lobby, then they did the fix, I came back but key wasn't working, so I had to go back (because there are no phones around). Also, when you are awake, prepare yourself for some walk to get to breakfast place … on the good side, the staff is very friendly (but not many are familiar with English, so… you can talk as much as you like, they just smile and have no idea what you're talking about) … all in all it's good retreat but not as good as you would expect for the money you pay. There are plenty of places with half of this price that offer almost the same.

We absolutely love this place! We come every year to visit for a week! We have a timeshare and really enjoy the property, location, beach, food and customer service. 5 stars all the way! You will love it!

The oriental restaurant was yummy too, but it was exemplary for its ambience and interior design. — LOUD: We had room 1006 on the ground floor near a heavily-trafficked area. Yikes! Not easy to sleep. — Beautiful rooms, comfy beds — Pretty shower, but the drain couldn't drain the water from the THREE shower heads fast enough, so we ended up showering in a puddle. Ew. — Minibar included (including bottled water, soft drinks, and beer). The tap water is supposedly filtered — we didn't try it. — Super friendly service that made me feel very welcome. Overall a great experience made less-than-perfect by the loud room and overflowing shower.

This hotel had great reviews so we booked this last minute before finalizing a surprise anniversary trip. We made the booking Friday evening for a weekend stay. Due to some visa complications, we could not travel on the day of our travel, our flights got delayed as well. We called the hotel at 10 am in the morning on Saturday (less than 16 hours after we reserved) to cancel and requested they waive the penalty but they did not. We even asked if they could place a credit on our account because we really liked the hotel and would like to stay here once the visa issues were figured out but they did not agree. This is peak summer when there is no dearth of travelers and our reservation was within 24 hours but they still charged us. Never going back here! Very disappointed!

The Hotel is located on one of the world best beaches, has all the entertainment and access to special events and shows. We selected the all-inclusive option and did not pay an extra cent for food and drinks except for the odd tip to staff for outstanding service. You will be approached at some stage for a two hour time share sales pitch but remember it is optional and you're free to decline. I upgraded to the beach side Royal Towers and was extremely satisfied. You will love your experience at this hotel.

Great medium sized resort with 2 pools: adult pool and family pool. Family pool was bigger with event staff playing games (Edwin was the great! ). Adult pool was infinity style with a swim up bar. The beach was lacking, without the best areas to swim, but the pools are where we spent most of our time. The Italiano restaurant was fantastic for both breakfast and dinner, just make sure to make a reservation for dinner. Buffet was just alright. Taco stand was fantastic on select nights. Staff was all extremely pleasant. Overall, very nice stay.

This was a spot my friends and I chose to stay while visiting Cancun for a Bachelor Party. The staff were super friendly, and eager to assist with any requests or questions. There were plenty of places around the resort to grab a drink, and the food options were plentiful. Plus, the view for the rooms was fantastic, with a direct view of the Caribbean just a hundred feet away. All in all, I highly recommend this place.

This was by far one of my favorite hotels that I've stayed at so far. We stayed in one of the deluxe villa rooms which came with a balcony that had a personal pool with views and direct access to the beach. The villas also came with a butler and he was so friendly. We were able to make reservations for dinner, reserve a cabana on our private section of the beach and order countless drinks and snacks through our butler. The room had two double beds, the bathroom had a rainfall shower and a window with a view to the beach. The food was amazing. We ate at the buffet for breakfast most days and made reservations at the various restaurants on-site. We were very surprised that not many people were dining at the restaurants because they were so gorgeous and all were at least three course meals. Everything was all inclusive so the drink and food options were endless. This was a great place for families, couples or friends.

Grand Park Royal is a beautiful resort in a perfect location. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. All rooms are ocean view. Highly recommended this resort.

The hotel is nice and the upgraded room was well worth it for the jacuzzi and the rain shower. However many of the employees are rude. They are constantly interrupting your relaxation to try and sell you some package to a night club or adventure. They don't stop and try to guilt you even if you have already purchased with someone else saying, "I could have given you a better deal you should have booked with me. " They don't know what deal I got our where I'm going. I don't want to worry about if I got the best deal on my vacation. I just want to enjoy it. They also have a rule about the cabanas if you aren't there for 30 minutes they will take your stuff. But really they just threaten the people who are in their cabanas making them scared to leave for a minute. If course there are no clocks anywhere and there shouldn't be because your on vacation. They never touched anyone's stuff but the threat made me constantly feel uncomfortable. I will definitly not return to this hotel. Of the 5 I have stayed in, in Cancun this is definitly the worst. I recommend the Moon Palace or one of their other sister resorts, the beach isn't as nice but the staff and hotel are fabulous.
