The worst service, most of the staff behave in a very despot and unfriendly way, as if doing their job was mandatory, everything you ask in a friendly way make you expensive and the restaurant captain is the worst, very good place, staff hurt.

Good hotel. Overall the maintenance of the common areas is very good and adequate. The pool and the restaurants are adequate. Breakfast included is very varied. The cocktails and drinks included are suitable you can have any drink without problems. Don't wait for the wiskey 12 years but the rest of the drinks and tequilas are good. The rooms were changed 3 times by air conditioning failures and lots of humidity. Bathrooms are half hair. Beds if comfortable. For each other. It's a matter of adapting and enjoying the good.

Many people have had bad experiences with this hotel. My experience was magnificent from the room, the employees would definitely come back to this very quiet hotel. The beach is not very nice, but the pool fantastic. If I want beach I go to Isla Mujeres is spectacular.

Spectacular sea view. Excellent service and the room is spotless and the service is top notch. One hundred percent recommended. The relaxation is very good. Very good area to go out and tour and it is still very safe to walk at night. Very comfortable and nice.

We stayed with you 7 people arrived on Friday and left Monday
And the following happened: A card of towels was lost with a pack of cigars, lighter and 600 pesos. The card was paid yesterday by my partner, but had already explained the situation at the front desk and told them they had stolen from her room. In my room I lost a Bose horn of almost 3, 000 pesos of value, two necklaces and dresses that we had in the closet we moved them places and hooks. We realized because we were staying three in the same room and obviously everyone had their clothes and it was a riot of one person with another.
I spoke and sent an email with my complaint and I had no answer.
Too bad, because I had stayed in the same chain of hotels in other States of the Republic and nothing had ever happened.
I hope they give me an answer.

Hotel simple, there are good things to comment as the friendliness of the employees, the room service is good, it is quiet and with a family atmosphere, the buffet is good at least the days I was staying if there was any variety in the dishes. The bad: The rooms are old and the space of the rooms is horribly distributed, old and dirty furniture, I expected a better "all inclusive", the snack area has few options of food and is only one employee attending which prepares and serves everything, when I was there at least I counted 25 people who were getting ready, the beach area is quiet to rest (if you find a cot in good condition because they are broken) but impossible to swim as it is full of algae and I found it a little dirty.
Overall it is an acceptable hotel but it should improve a lot.

Excellent hotel, good facilities, excellent cleanliness, friendly and cordial treatment, amazing buffet, beautiful beach, balcony to see sunset or sunrise, some moisture damage in doors but compensated with the attentive treatment of the staff, the beach at 2 meters, two Pools, quiet to rest and relax.

The service in general is very friendly. The waiters, bartender, etc. Very attentive, just like the facilities. The "but" are that the buffet food is not so good, and the sea segment of the Beach Club is full of algae so the water is not deep to be able to anything but it is excellent for those who go with children, as there are many fish, that you take advantage of these algae to feed.

Not a Holiday Inn but more of a Motel 6… Understand that going forward. I would suggest reading all of the lower end reviews because they are accurate and tell the story of this establishment. I would not recommend staying here because there are plenty of other options that are better in value. Spend a few more dollars and truly enjoy.

The attention is excellent but we offer services that do not have available as the kayak. The Italian restaurant and the grill also don't work every day. Otherwise very good.

It is a hotel with very dirty rooms, dirty chair. The shower in the bathroom was shabby, without a bathroom, but with a plastic curtain. Very small sink. Swimming pool with almost no maintenance.
The positive of the place is the friendliness of the buttons and in general the staff.

Cute hotel on the North side of the hotel zone. Staff are excellent and you do get a home feel. The hotel is small and the staff work hard to arrange activities during the day. Many locals stay here and you get a real feel for the people. The $1 bus stops here so you do have access to everything else available. We enjoyed this hotel alot. Oscar and Max were real standouts for us. Thank you!

Very slow check in process. There was no hot water in the bathroom for the whole three days we were there. I had to call the maintenance man when I wanted hot water. He would do something and it got hot. The next time I tried to use it; however, it was cold again and wouldn't get hot. I called maintenance twice to fix it, but the rest of the showers I took were in cold water. I ask for a different room but my request was ignored. Should be this kind of problem in a hotel this expensive. Also walls are paper thin and a lot of noise from the room next door. Sales people in the lobby trying to sell travel packages, this is bothersome to me as I'm not interested in the packages they are selling, however they are persistent. Just say NO! Included breakfast was very good, and the rooms were clean, which is why I gave it two stars instead of only one.

This place is clean, the serving staff were all very nice and helpful. The food is good and the beds were satisfactory. There are lots of children in the pool early morning making lots of noise. The shower didn't drain very well, so you couldn't shower one after the other.

I arrived Friday March 9, the room I was given was NOT the room type I paid for and combining on the website what I was given was much cheaper. NONE of my stay preferences were acknowledged. I was placed next to the elevator on lowest level. Spoke with 2 different managers and NOTHING I mean NOTHING was resolved. Room was dirty at check in, empty beer cans left on balcony and I don’t drink beer, microwave had left over food on it, shower was cruddy, toilet was cover in dried urine. Went to front desk asked for room move and the agent Lizbeth gave me the finger as if I was a pet. Spoke to manager next morning said she had to contact GM never heard anything back, third day spoke to another manager and basicly Tatiana told her she had completely forgot about my complaints, I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE EVER AGAIN AND I DONT RECOMMEND ANY ONE ELSE, specially if you’re from the US, they don’t treat you as you’re a paying guest!

In the bars not even offer you drinks just tell you I can do whatever you want from the liquors on the shelf. And when you ask you leave with you and it s finished and even serve you reluctantly… the shower you have to last about 10 minutes to get out hot… The beach is very bad is a beach of 2 meters… from the reception or if you want are friendly… The food repeated tomorrow afternoon And night. Other than that the schedules are illogical because at 3 30 there is no food… up to that the only friendly staff in the restaurant… The lousy Wi-Fi did not come to my room… I would not return the truth will not cord your price with what they offer…

Small place. The beach is not the best, right next to the docks. The rooms are clean, but not as clean as they could be. It is a good option if you're in a budget.

He was awarded the best score for that is very neat with very good linens, and the staff is very friendly; the hotel is very well located, in the following comments are complain a lot and what happens is that this hotel is excellent for getting to Cancun and from here depart for the day to the tours offered by this destination. If you want an all-inclusive for not knowing anything more than the hotel as there are other different options in playa del Carmen, very close and very good (RIU chain). Whenever you arrived to Cancun holiday inn arenas is the best thing to sleep, have breakfast and go out to enjoy Cancun and isla mujeres.

It is almost at the beginning of the hotel zone. The place seemed fine to me. You go out quickly to the center of the city. And the cost benefit is the right one. I thought the beach was super cute. And the deal was exceptional. No complaints.

Lousy Hotel. I've never felt so much pleasure in leaving a hotel. The staff try to be the difference but very few. Bad food. They don't answer you at the front desk. We got sick by the food facilities old uncomfortable bed. With back pain. Hard towels. Too bad you use the name Holiday Inn.

Friendly employees, some not. Very little variety in food although the one that had was fine. Small Hotel, there are never towels. I found it very expensive for what they offer, at the same price there are much better hotels.
Something to keep in mind is that it is well located.

Customer service was good all around. The room was a good size and clean. The view we had was also nice. Food was okay. My biggest issue was not having towels. Towels were taken and not replaced with new ones. I had to call repeatedly and every time I was told someone would bring towels in 5 mins and mins turned into hours. I recommend you to bring your own towels if you plan to stay at this hotel.

Not again. Typical all incl hotel. Food is under all sau. No minibar in the hotel room. Pool is sounded with charm music. Glad that it's only one night with me. Under 4 stars, I had imagined something different:/

Barely ok. Reception is lacking of costumer service, clean rooms, dirty and old looking furniture in dining room. Extremely small beach. The most useless towels I've ever seen or used. A Kleenex works better.

The beach is dirty has lots of dead fish heads in the water and nothing in this hotel works. Room for four people 2 towels, coffee machine broken, door doesn't lock, broken telephone and no blow dryer. I had called and requested a blow dry the lady on the phone said she would send one up. Two and a half hours went by and I went down stairs to ask for one in person and the lady said they didn't have any and come back in the morning. Smh. I also ordered room service and it took an hour and a half for it to arrive. No joke! This is not your typical all inclusive resort just a hotel with very small selection of food to choose from. Let me tell you the food is Not good! I don't expect much, but this is the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at.

It's a great little hotel at the beginning of the hotel zone from downtown. Right by the bus stop. The people are nice and congeneal.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HoteIRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Room that was provided faces the ocean and had an amazing view. Everyone in the hotel was willing and very helpful to sell you products and services however if it does not involve them making money no one seems to be interested. Had to request hand towels and regular towels every night we returned to our rooms from spending the day out. Would recommend your employees know where are the most popular places to dine other then the hotel restaurant and bar. For example find someone who knows vs saying I don't know. Room had one trash can which was located in the bathroom. Overall accommodation were good. Some employees went above the call of duty while others didn't.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The air to our room didn't work, the door didn't lock, the drains were all clogged and so on. Absolutely horrible!

Excellent hotel deserves 5 stars by du attention by staff rooms very clean nice everyone treats you well again next year.

We stayed two nights thinking that the beach would be a nice break from being in the city of Merida. This hotel was the wrong choice because, even as a service industry outsider, we could tell it is badly managed. The morale of the staff made the service consistently lack luster at best. The beach is filthy, it's trying to be a fun party place, but failing miserably, and the food is… the breakfast is palatable. When they tried to charge us half the price of another night to hold our bags for three hours, it was a nice sendoff to a terrible experience. Pay more per night to stay anywhere else. Believe me, it's worth it.

In mid-february of the 2016 went to visit for the first, you see this hotel and I was sooo good that them foul but the understaffed ay are very friendly only a chango which was quite rude in the pool bar but tambn congratulate the bartender oscar which is located in the lobby of the hotel in which what you turned tea the serbia and veery friendly and with regard to dirty beach not you corresponds to the hotel is the location of the one that reaches the garbage inside of the dam becomes ai, repeat all the other sooo good.

Staff was responsive and spoke good English. Facilities were great. Location is really the only thing that isn't great.

Hi, I was from 20 to 22 Feb'16, and the Truth I come very happy with the Service that they gave me in my stay in this Hotel. Since between until it came out, the food not to mention and Show or tell, the truth I assign to the 01 to the 10 of 10 care, cleaning and services. I had to wait around 40 minutes to get my check in (I finally got my room by midnight), they had trouble either finding my reservation or trying to accomodate me anywhere they could. Two of my peers received already occupied rooms, thank God the people had the rooms locked, although it would have been very ackward. The front desk service is so so so slow. My company held an event during three days. We had a very extense agenda for which the schedule was very tight, the venue did not seem to care. Breakfast was served late, staff from the hotel were coming in and out of the meeting room making a lot of noise, talking to each other loudly. The food was not disgusting but neither great, I mean it was ok. It has been two weeks since and I have not got my fiscal receipt, therefore I can´t report my expenses, I've called like five times and no answer. I would never ever choose this hotel, not even for the so called low rates.

For a start the hotel is very small and the area that has direct access to the beach is VERY small! in addition it is VERY dirty and you are hurting your feet if you walk barefoot to the sea. In terms of the attention, I would say that between 60/70 % of employees who looked after me were very formal, kind, however, few are went from rude, but not only that, since the food is buffet your you serve your food, but they are the ones who serve the drinks, on several occasions we were not able to drink anything since no waiter appeared, and if they appeared they had no clue when we called them. There is a variety of food and although in the review of the hotel there are several restaurants (at least when I checked before going), only one was available, the playing cards that gave us access to the room stopped working every day, and we had to go to reception to update, when you request towels, there are NEVER. With the money charged by this hotel I've been to better in Cancun.

The safe did not work had to be rescued on my time! Key card reader on door did not work … again replaced at the expense of my time. Sheets had holes in them and were so thin and worn that you could see the them! A/c did NOT work! Food was hideous in the resta Desk staff was inattentive by all means and never enough people working it to help the masses they encounter Bathroom light need to be replaced b/c it was blown out! The oven at back of hotel is more like an inlet and is between two boat basins Need I say more? Next door neighbors were old hideous drunk men who tried to flirt with my 15 yr old daughter. Didn't feel safe there b/c it was so big and soooo many rooms Never ever will I stay there or another holiday in for that matter Good luck!

My experience was horrible, booked a room junior suite before coming to Cancun and when it turns out that they didn't have available, they gave me a simple and HORRIBLE the sprinkler water is calibrated single, came out soooo hot that it burned and although they move him to the cold not chilled and suddenly got soooo cold and zero hot, tiles falling off nothing of what I wanted to.
Dirty, ugly and do not respect the reservations.

We visited with my children this hotel in December 2015… Rooms very good, bathroom clean and all the necessary utensils. Good view, quiet, show, and restaurant quite good. The beach is a bit small, but one can bathe well. Excellent Wi-Fi signal Absolutely recommended…

Hotel crap. Attention malisima. I ordered 2 disposable glasses for coffee and I never took them. I had to go downstairs to get them myself. The attention in the lobby is rubbish, starting with a fat face Idiot named Carolina. Don't put water complimentary in the room, you're going to ask you to put. We do not put in soapy water for two days. In order to a fucking hotel. Never to go. If they have children worse.

I have 5 years attending to this hotel from 1 to 2 times a year but this last time in truth that employees work with what they can, are the people very warm, kind and gentle but don't give them the SUFFICIENT tools to work… The ice machines located on floors """not served""" I hope that the owners realize that human capital is the most important. We were without water in the room for a few hours that will burn a pump…

PESIMO! For business trip I am in constant movement from one city to another, and this is the worst hotel where I have stayed. The people of the reception they made me wait 20 minutes to assign me a room is wrong, I changed room and that I was assigned to had the slippery floor, you forget a pair and after almost a month I can give an answer of where it left off? even I do not get the invoice of the stay, I called to request both the invoice as the status of the pants and leave me waiting in line after 10 minutes on hold I would have hung up at least 3 times… NOT RECOMIEDO.

Very clean, both the hotel and the beach, although on the night they were painting it, the attention of most of the people very pleasant, especially the people that you delivered the towels to the beach, my congratulations. A defect does Not have fridge under counter.

I traveled with my parents not long ago, for the price that you have should be better to have the basics, also does not have bath tub, it leaves a lot to be desired and the beach is full of algae that start to smell bad I don't think you get back.

Simple simple and expensive addition of food without taste, apparently only live of the name has all the basic services without offering that plus q could, or should, give on the basis of the price, I expected more hopefully improve.

The truth to be that kind of hotel should be much better I do not recommend.

7 rest days in early February. The only downside, it's not very big and small beach. The rest is all wonderful. Large room, good food and very friendly, but at the same time. Pure and in the hotel and on the beach. This week it was 2 show with dinner, 2 Karaoke and bingo. And final NFL with gamburgami near the pool.

Facilities are not from another world, or the pools, the beach is full of algae, bars and drinks leave a lot to be desired. However the staff service is very good and friendly is it salvageable. That and the price.

We visited this hotel from NYC. The service and food was very good. As soon as we arrived at the hotel after checking in we had to go to a desk where an agent wanted to know right away what we wanted to do for the week. During this time they were giving credits for different activities at the hotel. The deception thing here is that they are always trying to get you to buy into the VIP package which is a timeshare in the hotel. Someone even called our room the day before and said we had an appt to talk about the VIP package which wasn't true. My partner and I weren't born yesterday to fall for game. I was told other hotels aren't like this and we will go back to Cancun but never this hotel! We will tell our friends to stay away also.

I stayed here Jan, Feb, March of this year 2009. First in the Grand Oasis, then in Oasis Cancun. (as mentioned, not much difference besides price) They took such good care of me. After the first week of paying full price, I was offered about half price. Later weeks I was paying even less. The food was great. The pools are among the biggest and nicest you'll see in Cancun. Lots of party coordinators on site to make sure you never miss the happening clubs. I read the low reviews before I went and took a chance. The low ratings are from the old farts that want Champagne on a Beer budget. This is not 5stars so stop expecting it. Its nice and priced right and the Star rating is accurate. I will return to this resort for any Cancun trips. FYI there are lots of young people partying here and "club" music played outside by the pools via local DJs. If you want an old fartsy resort with peace and quiet, this may not be it. I love it.
