Charming, lovely ambiance enhanced by excellent service. I want to acknowledge both Haydee and Itandehui, not only did the make my room sparkle, they would create whimsical creatures out of towels! I never knew what unique creation would greet me. If you are very lucky you can enjoy their fantastically sweet towel sculptures. I was moved by their creativity. I shall definitely return. A lovely refuge from the very busy streets of downtown Oaxaca. I cannot wait to return.

If the Wi-Fi was working better this would have been 5 stars. GREAT location, easy to walk to everything. The hotel has a great feel about it. Comfortable accomodations, but spotty Wi-Fi. We could always get it in the hallway, but hard to get a good signal within the rooms likely because the building is steel reinforced concrete. Sometimes it was fine, but we had to switch rooms because we got no Wi-Fi in one. But when on vacation, Wi-Fi should not be the concern… right? (Well maybe). Good price, and those who complain about birds need to get a life. It's Oaxaca, not Palm Beach. We liked the birds.

Very nice hotel, typical Mexican. Very pleasant atmosphere in the main patio with birdsong and greenery. A little disappointed by the room which was a little small for 4 and had no windows that looked out … The location is great, just steps from the zocalo and the very nice pedestrian streets of Oaxaca!

I really liked the hotel for the service they give, all the staff is attentive. The restaurant with good food.

It is located 8 kilometers from the ruins of Montealban and this place is within the center of Oaxaca. The colorful rooms are decorated with local handicrafts and the courtyard is very nice. Room service there are suites with a view and box and some upgraded Sweets that have a whirlpool tub and internet is free. Definitely a good place to stay in the city of Oaxaca. Also the service is very good.

One of the hotels and the most beautiful hotel in which I have stayed, everything is beautiful, a jewel of handicrafts. Everything is so colorful and represents the beauties of Oaxaca. They kept it very clean the 7 days of the week, the maintenance staff very attentive and friendly. The terrace was very nice and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is delicious. And finally, the room is beautiful and you are surprised with every detail, and the birds that have all over the hotel are beautiful. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Pros: Good location, nice service employees, air conditioning Cons: BIRDS, at least 10 birds in cages in the courtyard that start chirping & singing at 06:00 with an ironic nearby stairway that reads, "Silence please". Weak Wi-Fi that doesn't let you connect most of the time. They tell you at the front to restart your phone. Toilet 1 inch from shower with a sign right by the glass shower door to not bang into it or it could break. Upon arrival I was told that my request for 2 beds was either not seen or not confirmed, that they only had a room with 1 bed, & that room wouldn't be ready for an hour. Minutes later after saying I had an email confirming my 2 beds request, she (manager) offered a room with 2 beds, available immediately. My stay was 3 nights & I learned from sign in the lobby that the 2 bed room we took was 200 pesos less expensive per night. I tried to confirm that I'd pay less per night ($372 USD for 3 nights) for the room with 2 beds & he said, no it would be same price. I pressed & then he changed the reservation total due amount to be less. Both of these managerial interactions seem shady to me to keep me in higher cost room ($404 USD for 3 nights) or pay higher rate. Wouldn't stay her4 again b/c of birds & weak Wi-Fi.

Quiet small hotel in colonial style.

A good place to rest, central and quiet but lousy at the food.

We all liked it very much and without hesitation heartbeat. Restaurant good prices and very rich. The only thing we didn't like is that they don't include the parking in the rate, so you have to pay 150 per day extra for you to keep your car in the pension.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It’s a wonderful hotel, but I had an incident; I forgot some clothing when I checked out. I called the hotel the following day and spoke to the manager. I told her I had left some items behind and would be returning in two weeks. I requested she put them aside. When I returned and I asked for my clothing she handed me a small bag of socks. Immediately I told her I had more cloth and that my sweater and pants were missing. She refused to believe to me and kept insisting that I had miss placed them. Other people then walked into the room and she ignored me. I was furious and went on my way. I am disappointed because it’s a wonderful hotel, but the manager was unprofessional in handling such a small incident.

We were charged a fee of double the rate more high hotel and told us that it was for hire him with booking, when we asked to solve it made us leave the hotel or pay the fee more face than usual, so we are left without hotel in the middle of the holidays.

This hotel, while not the most luxurious, was very well kept, clean and the location spectacular. We were two blocks away from the Zocalo. Wi-Fi was free and relatively fast. Rooms air conditioned and cool, albeit windowless. Beds were very comfortable. Didn't try the included breakfast as breakfast in the market is amazing. Good showers!

Loved this hotel. Stayed a week. 1 block to Zocalo and 10 minutes walk to any of the markets or restaurants you might want to go to.

We had an amazing stay! We're trying to book again for this December, 2015.
