This is our first experience in Mexico and I am sonhappy it was here! What a magical place. The staff goes above and beyond, especially Tanya. She must meet and greet hundreds of people a day, but she always remembers you and her customer service is outstanding. Highly recommend this resort. I will be back again and again. Mucho Gracias!

All the people who work here are friendly, helpful and wonderful. For example Julissa and Diego! When I asked what birds were flying over the beach they went out of their way to find out and tell me. This resort is so refreshingly everything you want a Mexican resort on the Pacific Ocean to be! I highly recommend it! We have a membership in their club and so look forward to our annual visit — definitely a home away from home for us!

An amazing resort with top of the line rooms and accommodations. Beautiful well maintained beach with free kayaks, and paddle boards. They offer suites with private four person hot tubs on the balcony, it also comes with you own private cabanas on the balcony as well. The spa area is absolutely amazing and relaxing. Stop by ask for Dave from Colorado, he will give you a great tour and no pressure on making your decision to stay. The price is on the high side but the accommodations are worth it. Other than the price the only draw back is it is about 25 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta.

Visited this property to view timeshare opportunities and I was very pleased with the offerings, on site shop, pool bar, food and service. The views were nice and property is directly on the beach. Seems to be a family spot, so there are lots of children.

Possibly the best resort I've been to so far. There are numerous options and activities individuals or groups of people can partake in such as parasailing, swimming at the beach or Pool, and walking along the beach. The rooms were comforting and was well maintained and the housekeeper was kind. Overall, would enjoy being back sometime.

Great service by Ricardo (capitan) in the restaurants, Isabel, Ernesto, Pepe great waiters, bell boys are great David, Joel.
The only down is the service desk Adan needs to be retrained, we had leaks in the room in the AC and in the walls and he sounded disturbed when we called it in. Then Pedro/Pablo (couldn’t get his correct name) walking around pool area with attitude. Would of gave it a 5 stars if it wasn’t for those two people Adan and Pablo/Pedro. Great view of the ocean, great rooms will try again, love there taxi service, food is great.

Had a great time at this Resort! Had excellent attention from David the bellboy, Israel the Manager and 2 excellent maids that all made our 2-year old son’s birthday a little extra special. The 2 waiters at the main restaurant that served our dinner for our son’s birthday were also great. Forgot to get their names though. Overall this hotel deserves the 5 ⭐️ but of course, always room for improvement. Breakfast at the main restaurant on Friday took forever to get a server n then to get the breakfast out n let’s not even talk about getting the bill. Also the hotel needs to more vigilant about the iguanas. They don’t bother anyone but the poop inside the pools n then the turds are floating around while you’re swimming. Not good. Overall great service, hotel n perfect location.

We had an amazing stay at Villa del Palmar Flamingos. The entire staff was great and the food was spectacular. If you visit be sure to say hi to Reggie he is by far the friendliest person there. He is usually around the pool making sure things are going smoothly and chasing off the iguanas. Be cautious of the "special" all inclusive. If you aren't a drinker it isn't worth the money but everything else was perfect. … Watch out for the jelly fish as we knew 2 people who were stung in shallow water.

Bad experience. I stay there for 6 nights I usual don't like nobody go into the room when I have all my things there so I always put the tag don't disturb on the door I been in many hotels even chipper and they always respect the tag but not in this one for some reason my husband took off his ring we was in hurry and he forgot the ring in the bathroom he remembers but we was too far already so I told him don't worry we put the tag on the door nobody is going to get in but went we get at the room the tag wasn't there they went in and cleaned the room and we couldn't find the ring we make the report but nothing happened this happened in may 21 and they callme today just to say that they sorry but they can't do nothing. So no matter if is a 4 o 5 stars hotel they have thieves I would never go back to that hotel again they don't treat people right.

Best massage I’ve had ever! Facilities are exellent, steam room, dry sauna, jacuzzi, pressure water massage area. Everyone is super friendly and make you feel welcome. I 5 star recommend it. The hotel is also excellent, the beach is sandy not rocky at all. The food is excellent and the service is amazing.

I have never written a review but I am so horrified at my experience with the service I received here I had to let others know. I was trying to book my wedding here. As my fiance's parents are members here and we have been to the resort in Cancun and were pleasantly surprised I figured it would be an easy and beautiful place to plan our big day. Well it took me almost a month to just get a hold of someone from the wedding department. I was ready to book right away and had the dates down and just had asked for room rates to pass on to our guests and to confirm that the dates we had selected would work for the resort. That was over a month ago. I have called over 5 times to try and speak with someone and when I finally got through they said they would send it right away, never did I receive anything. I had three other people call and ask for the information and they were told the same thing, still to this day have not received anything. Pretty horrible that we were willing to book about 15+ rooms and all inclusively at that and no one could find the time to help us out. Super disappointing and absolutely horrible customer service. If someone is trying to spend that kind of money at your resort you should make that a priority.

Very nice hotel but only is to go to rest if you want to go to relax you can not much.

Well, the facilities are not as modern.

The food is very rich, the chilaquiles very good, but the buffet definitely does not take away the 360 pesos that costs per Person. Much better to ask the Letter.

If your ideal is to rest this is a great option given that for that is this hotel to not go out and enjoy it. To me it seemed very with American tendency although they want to do rustic is designed to please the gringo. They always serve you with a smile and you will always find someone willing to help you. That if you have a great beach… more hotels and food @porpuroguzto.

My check in was a little rocky. We were told our room was ready, but when we got to the door with our keys and luggage, we had to wait another hour because the cleaning crew was still working (not their fault). The resort staff was kind, warm and attentive. Our one-bedroom suite was wonderfully spacious with great amenities and ocean views. The resort could use a couple more dining options. Overall, a fun, relaxing family vacation.

Beautiful resort, terrible food, horrible Internet service. The whole city is a hustle to get as much of your money as possible. Hucksters are everywhere!

I won't lie, it's a beautiful place but their method of getting us there was super shady. As we left customs we were approached by a fellow asking us which resort we were staying at and directed to a second person who was "in charge of setting up the ride to our accommodations. " I get it, no one wants to sit through a timeshare presentation but maybe it's time to consider the companies roll in making it so unpleasant. It shouldn't require saying no to three separate salesmen, each one trained to escalate the pressure. Their final offer was actually pretty good unless you consider that their discounted one week stay was just another chance to trap us into sitting through a second timeshare presentation that we'd payed to attend.

Great service, friendly staff. They will go out of their way to make you happy. Food was amazing, except for the sushi. It was tasteless. The rooms were clean. We had a great time.

Nice place to visit but expect to listen to a sales speech to buy holiday sites over several years. If it's not for you, say no right away to the people in the reception area who offer you a free lunch and other gifts.

Not a good place if you enjoy the beach. Had to get to the beach at 5am to get a spot. The Mexican restaurant was great with real good staff. The front desk was a nightmare to deal with. Had to have our final bill redone 3 times because the were not giving us the credit we had coming. We will not stay there again.

Rooms a bit dated. Make sure you don't get stuck with a room backing out onto the road as its quite loud throughout the night. Restaurants are fantastic. Staff are great.

I have an elite membership with this group, in the last two years I visited each and every one of the Villas del Palmar's resorts. Last January, I spent three weeks with my family in flamingos with a reservation made for a year. One of the advantages of my membership, should be the free upgrade, although contractually speaking, that privilege is low availability. In all the springs of the group, I understand that the occupation is sold leaving always a margin to respect the courtesies makes the members who invested money in high memberships. In flamingos unfortunately I had a very bad attention in that aspect. They did not want to give me the upgrade free, they answered me in a way that for the first time, since when I have this membership, never happened to me. I have always felt in my house in every Resort, in flamingos the managers who attend the elite members, showed a total disinters in attending to me as I think it is my right. An example clarifies that unfortunate attention. I applied with the education that always accompanies me, a small desk where to place my computer because I spend many hours working to manage my businesses even though I am vacationing. The elite department in charge told me that this accessory was not possible to facilitate it.

Really comfortable with modern and up-to-date facilities. Great views from all rooms with balconies. Large family pool with plenty of food facility. Perfect but for the nickel & dining on options like Wi-Fi and laundry. They also charge CN$3.50 per day mandatory tips. With all the great places to eat I wouldn't go full board.

We did a tour, with required presentation. It's beautiful and there's much offered, but it is far from town and things to do… from what I could see. I prefer being closer to people. That being said, I would definitely stay there if the price were right. Oh! There's a cat, Maurice. He's lived on the property for 15 years, I'm told!

Timeshare is a complete scam. Bought in several years ago with TONS of promises and the resort fails on every level. Thy took away areas of the pool to use unless we upgraded our units. Units are NEVER available when we have tried to go down and use them even though they were guaranteed when we bought. SCAM alert. DO NOT buy into this group. Villa Del Palmar is a scam to lock you into a lifetime contract that you cannot get out of. They even transfer the debt to your children which I do not even know was legal. Buyer beware.

It is a great hotel awarded in great tourism, very comfortable and a great attention of the employees to their guests.

It is a place where you can breathe tranquility. A very nice Mexican night and the festival tequila of the best.

Good structure but very annoying pressure for q buy an "action" of the hotel! There are Q Live from breakfast at sunset with a cult of vendors Q stalk daily to the guests. Breakfast very messy, noisy and not very elegant. Good cost/benefit ratio. Internet connection not incluids in the rate all Inclusive and the quality ze the signal is lousy throughout the hotel. Gratuity included in All Inclusive rate but the staff expects tip at every step.

The service of the SPA is excellent, the super attentive valets and the super relaxing hydrotherapy area!

It Is the best hotel in facilities I know. But I take away the desire to return when I take half a day of my holiday… The first time I went was in the year 2014 and now in 2017 I returned to offer the blessed memberships… HOWEVER I say "NO THANKS" insist and even bother… I would go back but when I remember everything that happens on my first day of stay both times I have gone "I pass it, want to return"

A nice place to spend with family! Large swimming pools, beach, rooms, complete and spacious, restaurant, gym, lounge with Wi-Fi, etc, All that one can wish for!

Nice hotel, beautiful pool and beach. The omelettes with fresh Pico for breakfast were unbelievable. Very safe area.

Excellent facilities. The pool is very spacious and has several sections for children and adults. There are 3 restaurants: Japanese, Italian and Mexican. All the food is delicious. Good care and access to all kinds of activities for vacations: Guided tours, boat shows, scuba diving, night events. They don't allow pets. Wifi in the room.

It is my second home, a place to relax, have fun, enjoy food, friendly service, go places or just enjoy the pool or the ocean. I love it.

Let's start with the view of the ocean which was completely phenomenal from this location. The waiters and customer service here was Awesometacular. The food is pretty good all the way around from breakfast to dinner. The market attached to the resort was VERY affordable. The alcoholic beverages were also very well served, great taste and presentation. The reason I gave this resort 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly for entertainment purposes. They need more shows and activities going on at night that people are more interested in. If they work on that this place will definitely be 100% Awesometacular!

The place is very nice, it has excellent view, the food is good, the staff is friendly but you want to sell to force the "holiday membership" that is not a timeshare but it is almost the same, is expensive, even with international network, not convenient, and start you say Qu E are only 90 minutes and end quitandote 5 hours, outside of that, you enjoy the stay very much.

Very close to the Mega (like a Walmart). Pool is great for small kids. Taco bar is fantastic and affordable. The resort market is also very affordable and helpful. We loved the layout of the rooms and appreciated the ability to have adjoining rooms.

Staff, location, activities and cleanliness are great, 5 stars for that. Beautiful sandy clean beach is also great. However their Wi-Fi is horrible, that's why I give them 4 stars.

It is a very good hotel with excellent location, beautiful views, very clean rooms, and very good food and drink but, one hopes to find more entertainment inside the hotel, more when you take the plan all inclusive and do not expect to leave much or you would not have to leave Much of the resort, if there are a lot to owe in that aspect and it is unfortunate because they have everything to be one of the best destinations on that beach. The animation team should improve a lot it is not possible that at 9 or earlier no longer offer anything, more because it is not so cheap the cost that is paid.

We had a wonderful sisters trip at the Villa del Palmar Flamingos. Overall it was great with just a few negatives. We booked a 2 bedroom which was perfect as the living room has a Murphy bed and a full bathroom, really making it more like a 3 bedroom.
The pool and the beach area were well maintained and the staff was very accommodating. Especially Reynaldo and Ivan at the pool. We booked this resort specifically for the beach entry pool for my sister with medical disabilities.
The spa was fantastic. One of the best massages I have ever had and I get massages regularly. Kudos to Rosalinda! The hydrotherapy area was very nice and relaxing and Jenifer was very sweet.
A couple of small negatives, service at the sushi restaurant was horrible. It was probably just the individual as one of the other waiters apologized to me at the end when I asked for the bill. For my disabled sister, it was easy to get around but I would go as far as saying it was completely accessible. Bathrooms were an issue, in the public restrooms one bathroom had a grab bar, but the toilets were still low. She was unable to go to the beach as there is no ramp down, only stairs. (We did understand that this is Mexico and overall is not ADA compliant. ). I arrived at about 1pm to check in and was told the room wouldn't be ready until 3. I went to the room at 3 and housekeeping was still in there and was told another hour.

Luxury hotel with great location, view and service. A wonderful place to spend vacations in Mexico. Perfect for honeymooners, families and groups as well. A place that surely will surprise you.

This place has beautiful pools AND beaches! Not rocky, nice sand and you can walk out for over 1/8 of a mile and still stand up. The rooms vary from 1bd studio to giant, sprawling apartments. However, we what we love the most about this place is the staff. We have come here for 12 years (right after they opened) and not only have they retained most of the original staff, a few of our favorites that we've connected with actually remember our names when we return! They've also recently expanded their restaurant choices or offer all inclusive. This is our home away from home!

We ended up switching to this resort from the Grand Mayan. This property is the perfect size — not too big, not too small. We have a great view of the ocean and there are tons of activities. I'd highly recommend this location to anyone in the area.

Gorgeous property and gorgeous views. If you get placed back by the main building, you may have greats views of the nightly shows without having to pay for the buffets. (If you like buffets, the food was excellent — and the bartenders make outstanding White Russians. )

This place is such a rip off. Would never recommend this hotel/time share to anyone. The food is overpriced and the options are very limited. One indoor restaurant and one outdoor and during the duration of being here it has been non-stop rain. They sell you the all-inclusive package but it does not include a variety, mainly hamburgers, pizza, and tacos. For the rest of the menu you have to pay extra + tip and there is no service at all. Please check posted photos showing their salad bar and all inclusive menu (Please do not laugh it's a reality)

Went to this property for a timeshare presentation. The property was beautifully kept, the rooms all had ocean views, the buffet area was big and had lots of great food offerings. The beach area for the property was nice, had seating and shade. I even saw a few cool looking green iguanas roaming around, a group of dolphins jumping in and out of the water and one of their native racoons walking on the side of the road! Didn't get a timeshare here as we had just recently got a timeshare with another company. But, if you are looking and get invited to this place for a timeshare presentation, go! You will be pleasantly surprised.

I was there the first week of July from 1st. To 8th and had a awesome time. The people was very professional and friendly and the resort was very clean and grounds well maintained. There was all kinds of entertainment on and off the resort. The local people were very nice and friendly. P. S. A shout out to Alberto the Bells man they were top notch and always alert.

We attended a timeshare presentation after meeting a nice man on the beach who promised us use of the hotel for the week and free massages if we listened to the 75 minute talk. After 2 hours, we left with nothing, it wasn't worth any more of our time. This place is swarming with time share people. They crowd the restaurant so there wasn't room for hotel guests. The pool looks gorgeous, but the water is very shallow throughout and it wasn't much fun for my preteen kids. There are better choices in the area, I wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel!

We've stayed here 4 times — this is our go to resort for a number of reasons. I purposely read the bad reviews on here to see what people could possibly find wrong with this fabulous resort. I'll address those first. Location; yes it's s bit of a ride into town, and the mallacon shopping district but there are ways to to make this great. First, skip the over priced can raises snd take the city bus right from the resort. The way I see it, we are staying at a very nice cushy resort — the bus ride with the tourists and locals alike was a chance to see the real Mexico! We had school children sit by us, nice visits with Locals and tourists and workers. The bus ride is an adventure in and of its self but we came to really enjoy it. We usually go into town a couple days and an evening or two for the awesome restaurants. Don't let the location scare you off — you have no chance of finding a property this nice anywhere downtown. I'd advise against the all inclusive — this is not a criticism of the hotel but PV is not the place for all inclusive. Mainly because food and drinks even at the resorts are cheap. Plus unlike other parts of Mexico — PV is a fantastic place to explore off the resort with tons of great restaurants and lots of shopping. Pay as you go — you'll be glad you didn't do all inclusive. As for the vendors on the beach — they can be annoying but usually a simple "no thank you" and they move on.

As Marc's wife, (Morgan) I just wanted to say how enormously pleased we were with our vacation there this past June 2015. Our 14 year old daughter was with us as well. Excellent and personable staff! The resort was immaculate, and nicely landscaped, with beautiful swimming areas, beach access and much more. The rooms are spacious and upscale. Most importantly I wish to say what a privilege it was to meet such caring and excellent staff. At the restaurants, I have to give Conrado, Jaime, and others a big hello and thank them for their wonderful, friendly and professional service. They remembered us when we dined, and always came to say hello and offer assistance, even if not our main server. The concierge and front desk staff were also welcoming, and very helpful. They took their time to listen and answered all our requests with consideration and professionalism. A delightful vacation, as we were well pampered!
