Food was GREAT the service was 1st class and everyone was so helpful and friendly Miguel was excellent and super friendly. Armando was so helpful and always looking and checking up on us.

The truth I do not recommend it is a very finished hotel without maintenance in its facilities, its staff very rude, and they have preference for their nationality, their food of 10 points I give it 6 points does not taste good really I go with a bad experience of this hotel as much as American party Cozumel and explore.

The service at The Explorean was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The resort is beautiful and quiet. I loved the fact that they organize daily excursions to interesting places around the island (at not extra cost). You have access to their sister-resort, they Fiesta Americana, next door where you have beach access as well as access to four restaurants, a coffee shop, gift shop, gym, and spa. I highly recommend The Explorean.

We had an amazing time! The staff is so helpful and friendly. They think of absolutely everything to make your stay perfect! We are already planning our next trip back with the whole family! If you are looking for a relaxing resort with the option to adventure, this is a perfect place!

What a fantastic resort, very clean and relaxed vibe. The staff were amazing and very attentive for all your needs. Great snorkeling opposite the hotel. The trips were fantastic that were arranged and free with the hotel, highly recommended them. The staff that run the trips were fantastic and very informative of things you were doing. I would definitely recommend this resort. Make you bring bug spray.

Daily "adventures " included. Full privileges at Americana next door, a place with great food and a different vibe if you're in the mood. The romance package meal was incredible, not to mention the rose petals in our room with the champagne and strawberries! The entire staff is wonderful, so friendly and helpful.

I normally do not post reviews but, The Explorean was by far our Best vacation ever! So many wonderful people are on staff there! Each have their on way of making you feel Special going beyond their job title surpassing your expectations! Just to name a few, Alfonso, Roberto, Rubi (front desk), Luis, Leonardo, Rueben, Walter, Arturo, and all of the housekeeping. All are our new Friends! We could not have asked for more! Such a Clean Beautiful place! Never have we been treated with such kindness. Walter made sure everyday we had everything we needed and were taken care of. The excursions offered daily are over the top. We took advantage of several of those. If you’re looking to be totally spoiled the Explorean is your place! Thanks for such a memorable trip! This place is amazing. This is like staying at families home. Anything you ask for, they will try to do for you. This a really great group of people…. I for sure will be back. This is my husbands happy place.

My husband and I can’t even begin to describe how special The Explorean is. You have such a beautiful property, delicious food, beautiful rooms with stunning views of the jungle and a great location! However, your biggest blessing is your amazing staff. Reception was so welcoming! Edwin, Rubi and Alfonzo and Daniel were fantastic and made us feel so special every night at dinner. I was touched when they surprised me with a beautiful dessert for my birthday. Edgar and Rueben were great tour guides and made each activity fun. They did an amazing job of speaking both Spanish and English, so flawlessly, so that we were able to understand. The rooms are beautiful and your housekeeping staff does a great job restocking the fridge (which was a great surprise) and keeping the rooms clean and beautiful. What a fantastic group of people you have! We loved how secluded the property felt. We had the choice to use the FA’s amenities but never had the desire to because everything at the Explorean was so perfect. This was our first time visiting Mexico and we will most certainly be back. Thank you for an amazing experience that we will never forget.

Loved it, staff friendly, and helpful. They will go out of their way to please you. Rooms all have Oceanview, beautiful sunsets and amazing entertainment.

Stayed here for 8 days, and definitely enjoyed it! The ocean is beautiful and the snorkeling is amazing right in front of the hotel. The excursions offered are really fun and unique as well! Most of the hotel grounds aren't air conditioned, except for the hotel rooms, so be prepared for the heat. Althought the pools and ocean are a perfect way to cool off!

The staff, food, drinks are so wonderful. And the blue water is absolutely amazing. Wonderful place.

Very nice hotel for nature lovers is within the cozumel jungle and has very good activities.

It's very quiet compared to the neighouring Fiesta Americana so it's a great place to relax. But you can use everything at Fiesta americana so it's up to you to see how you feel. Food is great at the restaurant located in this hotel and lots of options for what you feel like each day. Service is great as there are always people around if you need something.

What an amazing place!
My stay for six nights and seven days.
Really happy to come home with such great experience and taste of mouth, the feeling that I have is that I do not want to go because they make you feel each and every one of the people who work there that you are at home but surrounded by a beautiful natural beauty the Jungle, animals and sea together wowwww that combination.
I was fortunate to be at the same time at the two Fiesta Americana and The Explorean hotels and it's an experience I will repeat!

Good food, great service and decent rooms. All inclusive includes 1 activity per day which is great!

Explorean like the name suggests is a hotel for those looking for a quieter and sophisticated getaway. Like other places explorean is the least commercial and lives up to it's name for service and facilities provided. Those guests who like a quieter and simple but tasteful getaway this is the place for them. From simple but luxurious rooms and fine dine experience along with activities, this hotel is an all in one experience. You can select to stay at the explorean and enjoy the peace but you also have the option to explore their sister resort and gain access to other restaurants and services. If I'm ever coming back to Cozumel I think I would have to think twice before booking a room here.

Excellent hotel very exclusive but very quiet, if you did not count with the access to the American party that is to one side would be very small and with little variety, the only different thing that makes this hotel. Bought with the American Party is that it includes activities but you must apply for them and they have a restaurant with an excellent chef who prepares delicious. Food.

Excellent service, staff, attention, food, availability, really all turn into attentions, we waited for moan Chan, really went out to serve us, recommendable to 100%!

Absolute paradise. Great restaurant with personable staff. Jorge is an awesome waiter :) Extremely good manager, recognized our faces and knew not only our room # but the few calls we'd made to the front desk. So on top of it! Beautiful place.

The standard of The Explorean group was sadly lost here. The slow pace of the service in the eating hours is terrible and a hindrance to the otherwise delicious food. The whole feeling of the isolated resort gets lost with the close proximity of the Fiesta Americana resort where you can eat, drink and enjoy. While this combo offers some perks, the idea of luxury and isolation that The Explorean sells does not show up. With a faster service in general the experience can be vastly improved.

The hotel is very nice, the food is amazing and the staff really friendly. Despite the bad weather the experience guides have made an effort to organize nice activities for our stay. However, I must say the experience falls short compared to the Explorean Kohulnich in Chetumal where the experience is truly ppa luxury adventure holiday all inclusive. I think the experience would benefit from faster service (food is delicious but they take forever to take your order), also sharing facilities with the Fiesta Americana tarnishes the complete luxury and private experience, finally it is really annoying to constantly see representatives from the vacation club touring around guests but talking down to the hotel staff.

The truth is a disappointment in their service and seriousness they do not have a plan of activities well elaborated for what they charge.
Fiesta Americana Vacation Club fulfill what they promise when they are selling their product and more points.

In Explore Bad service, no one can solve anything, very poor activities, lead us to an activity without food we arrived at the hotel and there is no service at any restaurant. I Expected more for at such a high price than was paid, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND it.

Very bad organization for the activities. There's no punctuality. Nobody knows how to give answers. They take us to activities without food we arrived and there is no food anymore. In general they charge very expensive for the service that provides explore they say an activity and do not meet do not report well what to take do not leave in time. Rating minus 10000 We will never go back to explore Cozumel.

Fun hotel. We always have to eat gluten free (2 celiacs) and found options in all restaurants and they were very accommodating. Great little faux beach (its elevated off the water and you enter by later — but lots of sands and a bunch of cabanas). Super friendly staff.

The staff of the Exploren and the Sea of Cozumel make this experience unbeatable. Kindness and beauty will certainly be conjugated in this beautiful place.

The Explorer… What makes it different? The activities that the staff always have for you; Snorkel, temazcal, kayak, rides, etc. Its facilities are totally peaceful. If you want to relax and feel pampered this is the best option in Cozumel.

Some of the items promised (basket with juice inthe morning, water bottle, some of the excursions, etc. ) were not there when we arrived. Only after someone in our group complained to management were the issues resolved. Food is excellent. Drinks are wonderful. The beach is maybe a 5 minute walk from the back of the resort. Staff is super friendly and actually just brought us creme puffs and a chocolate covered strawberry without us asking. Overall, very good experience, except for the missing items, which some people in our party of 9 (5 rooms) received on time.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Good: Excursions included, secluded and small private pool, which yields more of a laid back relaxed mood, jungle plants all around so a good change from usual palms and beaches of most resorts, restaurant is excellent with lots of healthy choices, full access to Fiesta Americana and their restaurants and entertainment, staff is friendly and provide great service Bad: shower is not hot and takes a while to heat up, coffee is sub-par but you can go to Fiesta Americana for coffee, pool is small and there is no hot tub so I could see the pool becoming quite crowded during peak season, no entertainment, no beach unless you walk to Fiesta Americana.

Our first day. Check in… Average. Not sure about the nightly entertainment, nothing was offered to us. Restaurant experience was horrific. I have one rule in life, NEVER eat food off an plate if you find hair on it. Send it back and never ever request to bring another plate. It can be worse then the first! Just not seen. Also asked the waiter if we could eat by the pool. Was told no! Then twenty minutes later a different waiter brings food for other customers sitting in the hot tub. im more then happy to provide pictures.

Great place to snorkel. Rocky and Maria were great on the excursions I will be going back again. The food and service was excellent too.

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to the Explorean. It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful atmosphere and the staff were so kind and hospitable. Every day they had a new little treat for us to celebrate our honeymoon. We felt so welcome and enjoyed getting to know some of the staff there. The excursions were so much fun, the food and drinks tasted amazing (ask for the Mayan coffee! ). Just an overall wonderful experience. We hope to go back someday!

A relaxing jungle retreat with a very courteous and helpful staff. My family and I had an amazing time there. Many different options existed when it came to food and it was all delicious. Mario, Oscar, and Rocky were a very attentive and friendly staff. I'd like to thank them for making our vacation a most enjoyable trip.

The rooms are excellent, as well as the service as they are very attentive and never leave you alone always provide the attention and entertainment with fun games and activities.

The last 19th of July we were my husband and I in the facilities of the Explorean Cozumel. The experience was "Wonderful", the comfort of the room, the service in the restaurants always staff very attentive, the food exquisite, and for close with a flourish the guides who took us to the Reef, Dzul-Ha, with experience, Sergio, the Jeep ride Tour, visiting villa maya, a visit to a beach and have a delicious coconut, accompanied by Mike, the next day the Tour to the Parque Punta Sur, accompanied by Russell, gave us a real historical explanation, we climbed up to the lighthouse, which has a wonderful view of the whole area, it's worth it and on the last day we took the Tour Colombia Sky, again accompanied by Sergio, all are very knowledgeable of the service quality for all ages. We have spent a holiday that we will never forget and at the first opportunity we will be back. Many congratulations to all the team that makes up explorean cozumel.

Great experience, very good service. You do not get to the other Explorean at Kohunlich, however the combination with the experience of the American Holiday makes that complement each other very well. The activities and the guides are of the best. Highly recommended for parents with kids.
