We really enjoyed our stay here. We went during the Christmas holidays so we were almost the only gringos there. The staff were very kind and helpful. They have a lot of great activities and facilities. Including a huge zipline, amazing pools, including a kids pool which was great for our family, waterslides (they were pretty wild, but a bit scary compared to what we are used to in Canada. When going down at max speed, biggest waterslide had a couple of drops that were really sharp and made me feel out of control, so I had to sit up), huge tennis courts, basketball and volleyball, archery (although it was kind d of ghetto, most of the arrows were missing at least one or several fletches), nightly entertainment, plus an overpass that lead to an awesome beach… There were some people on staff who spoke English really well and went out of their way to take good care of our extended family of 14. But I would recommend learning Atleast a hit of Spanish if you want to stay here. The place is 70 years old and it shows. The rooms are quite run down. Sheets and beds are in good condition. But they should really invest in new sinks and some paint. That said. You likely won't spend much time in your rooms. So I wouldn't make that a deal breaker. Food was quite good. There are 3 main buffet style restaurants, plus a snack bar and higher class Italian style restaurant. Plenty of variety. My wife and I don't eat meat unless it is halal, but there was lots of fish and vegetables to make due with. ALL in all this is a fantastic place to take your family for a vacation. Never a dull moment. But not necessarily the place to be if you want to be in a resort where everyone speaks English and the only thing to establish that you are in a different country is the weather…
