Worst place to go it's dirty, smelly and the stuff didn't help for the inconvenience they caused. They didn't look for reservations online and when I came with my reservation all rooms were rented. Pretty much they force us to pay twice for a room. The online booking is false advertisement. Bad place to stay …

Stay away from this place no AC fridge don't work not worth the money.

The location is ok, I was super close to a concert I attended.

It's ok, kind of dirty, no Wi-Fi, great location to walk to the beach, parking lot is small very inexpensive so if your not picky this is great.

Old motel if they see you have plates of California they charge more money the rooms smells alot of mold.

Nice place to stay. They take care of your vehicle's. And it has a swimming pool.

I called to get rates and lady on the phone wanted to get more personal details from me and I asked if I can get rates first and then she acted like she could here me anymore and hung up. I called again and once she heard my voice she again acted like she couldnt her me and hung up. My wife called and she picked up and answered her just fine and my wife asked her why she wasnt answering us earlier and then again she acted like she could hear us and hung up. Horrible service from the start. Dont waste your time on places like these.

The rooms are Just Ok, the pool is nice.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel but does its job at providing a place to stay the night. Rates aren't too expensive. They also have a swimming pool. We stayed here one night and got two rooms for the price of 78 dollars. The two rooms included two beds each, a queen size and twin size bed. Bathroom and mini fridge. Didn't try the mini fridge so can't provide details on whether it worked or not. The only problem I had with the place was the fact they allowed smoking. Some crazy men two rooms down were blazing marijuana. They didn't do it for too long but enough to enter our rooms for awhile since we had the windows open due to the heat. Like another reviewer has stated beware of the TV if you have kids in the room. Some channels are pornographic.

Clean & cozy rooms. Wonderful staff. I have loved all my stays at the Cortez. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Playas.

One of the great places to go when im in TIJUANA mexico, good service, clean rooms on an excellent location near the beach. Will recomend to american visitor to go and stay at Cortez Motel oh yeah and the rates are great.
