Beautiful grounds, the pool and ocean views are gorgeous! Rooms are spacious. Love the service. Everyone is very nice. Down sides: the rooms are not updated and you have to pay to enjoy the amenities. $10 for tennis?! This should be included in the price of the resort. Overall 3.5 stars.

We visited last week for 4 days as a family of 4. From the moment we arrived at the resort until the moment we loaded onto the shuttle we received nothing less than exceptional service. Upon arriving we were greeted, immediately offered a nice, cold water. We didn't have to unload a single bag. They did it all for us & delivered to our room. The entire staff really does bend over backwards to make sure one receives outstanding service & is satisfied. We absolutely enjoyed our entire trip — the view, variety of restaurants; types of food, quality of service, large & spacious rooms. Phenomenal hospitality! My brother & now sis in law had their wedding at the same resort. The ceremony took place in the gazebo with the beach view & reception was in the Tequila Bar. Everything was absolutely perfect & gorgeous. We were very impressed & when back in Cabo will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos for a Memorable Stay ❤

Great family resort!. Not a lot of night life options for adults. Staff are awesome and super friendly. The view is great. Food is also good. 24 hour room service is a plus! I would have gave it five stars but you have to travel to San Lucas to experience most things… Definitely will return with my family!

If you want a relaxing vacation full of luxury with a wonderful and attentive staff, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is the place to be. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the food at the specialty restaurants was delicious, so many options including Japanese/Asian, Steakhouse, French. The spa is gorgeous! The pools were great and the service there was spot on, drinks and food brought right to us while we layed out (Adult Pool). There are lifted platforms with lounge chairs that were so comfortable to lay out in the pool. I also have to say that it is only 15 minutes from the airport, can't beat that! I will definitely be returning. I miss it so much.

Excellent service. Get the swim-up room, you won't regret it. Room service was great, staff are friendly. We stayed (early June) before the season hit prime.

Awesome resort, just stunning! All the ppl who work here are friendly and extremely welcoming. We got the premium club package and love the extras especially the spoiling we received when we ducked away to the premium lounge. Both Carlos and Gabriel who worked the lounge were instrumental in our awesome time at the resort. I'd give both those men 10 stars and their service ability and attention to details.

We loved our week at this hotel! It was better than expected with lots of food choices. The adults only French restaurant was perfect for celebrating our 30th anniversary. Ironically, our least favorite restaurant was the Mexican buffet dinner. Breakfast buffet very good. Nice to have the adult pool option given our intent for total relaxation. Very good drinks though the alcohol content was clearly low since it took a lot of them to get a buzz. Dinner house wines that were included with all-inclusive were the same — might as well drink water. Service throughout was fantastic! Very hard working and always cheerful staff. We would go back if opportunity arises.

Decent venue, if you eliminate smoking anywhere you will up your rating. This is a smoker's paradise and the fact that you get denied access to restaurants with sandals on is a big miss! There are far better places to stay, but a few improvements here and you're not far from other resorts that claim 5Stars…

Probably one of the best all inclusive resorts I've stayed at. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and property and the food is pretty good. Only 20 minutes from the airport and it's pretty quiet if that's what you're looking for. Very family oriented too!

Wrong Rate & Poor Customer Service. At the time of booking, they offered $150 per night for 2 people, All-Inclusive. Today, I was notified by an email that the rate was wrong and they will cancel the reservation without a penalty. A WEEK before the arrival date. Really?! We ended up missing other good deals. As a resolution, they offered 2 options. 1) Simply cancel the reservation. 2) Pay $600 and keep the reservation.

An overall incredible experience. Right off the bat we were treated like valued guests. Definitely will be recommending this resort to everyone who asks, as well as going back as a regular vacation getaway. 5 stars all the way!

Excellent place to spend a holiday in a nice hotel. The rooms are very spacious and with comfortable bed to rest. Close to the airport, shopping malls and places to spend a good night of antrum. Certainly an excellent choice.

A very complex well-designed to enjoy all in the same place, rooms, restaurants, pool, beach… the staff very friendly.

Very nice resort. Always beach chairs open. Did not have to get up at 5:00a. M. To claim a beach chair. Our first time to Cabo after venturing away from are usual Cancun area. Cant wait to go back! The resort was huge and all the restaurants and bars made everything flow nicely. Also had a coffee shop. It was really a care free vacation. Hard to beat!

Beautiful views, great service when needed. Massive pool — ample access to food and drinks. There were a few nights where people got loud until all hours of the morning, but in general was a great family experience. Section of ocean can't be swam in, but the pools made up for that. Would return.

The resort in general is nice, clean and comfortable, Maybe the gym lacks more space but good appliances…
The food: the restaurant "Cortijo" very good and very attentive, the Asian food of half level, like the Italian and the french, nothing of another world, on the other hand the Mexican food very bad, we leave very badly stopped with the foreigners…

In general it is good hotel but for that price you can find better options, plus the services, food, shows, etc. They are more oriented towards the foreign Guest.

Excellent care and service. The food and the drinks superb. The very nice beach but the sea was very dangerous. All the time black flag.

Incredibly exclusive all inclusive resort. Great property for business and/or pleasure. Off-road ATV excursions, whale watching, fishing charters, shopping, etc. Fabulous food of all types. Room service and stocked fridge is all inclusive. Horse back riding on the beach. I saw three whales from the balcony of my room! Top shelf resort at a top shelf location. Go there!

Great experience soon as we walked in the door. I have never been to a resort that was so genuine great hospitality and all inclusive was excellent. Very clean and safe facility and very family oriented. Employees are very helpful and I highly recommend and will go back in future. Thank you also D for all your help at the front desk.

We had a great time at Hyatt Ziva! We had the best server at the beach named Saul who literally RAN to bring us our drinks! The only thing that wasn't the best was the food. Breakfast was top notch, but lunch and dinner weren't good. There were many pools that looked right onto the ocean and they all seemed like they were heated! It was perfect! Deffinitly would recommend.

This place is amazing. Wonderful staff, wonderful facilities and crazy good food. Maria at adult pool taco bar makes the best tacos. Favorite restaurant was the French restaurant. Ate sea bass and chocolate lava cake. Ocean wasn't swimmable while we were here. Clean rooms and amazing staff. Facing east so you get sunrises!

Here for my honeymoon. Was given a free upgrade to ocean view room. The staff couldn't be friendlier. Food was nothing sort of amazing. Pools were very nice (different temps for whatever u were feeling like). Rooms were big and very clean. And even with all the activities going on if u closed ur doors u could sleep quite easily. 10/10

The service is FIRST. All the staff really does an excellent job taking care of every detail to make the guest stay great in every way. The infrastructure is beautiful, the view spectacular. The restaurants are diverse and for all tastes. The buffet is just great. The rooms are fully equipped and in perfect condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The truth doesn't have to worry about anything, they do everything. I loved staying here. Thank you!

The Japanese restaurant is delicious and the chef of the sushi bar spectacular.

The Hotel is excellent, has more than 6 different restaurants for formal dinners, huge pools and with excellent cleaning and maintenance. The rooms are very spacious and with top-notch finishes. It's a wonderful option to go with the family.

Great hotel that sells out to big groups who take over the hotel! They close the open areas for the big groups to have events. Normally not a big deal, but they seem to schedule groups that are too big for the hotel! Big groups should not be everywhere, they should be part of the background. Don't come here here if you want a nice calm relaxing week. Find a different place. This hotel does not care if you have to watch the awards banquet for whatever from you balcony! The place is too small to book these big groups! My two cents.

My family of three just returned from this amazing resort yesterday. We were there for a week and we’re able to spend New Year’s Eve in a beautiful part of the world. The service was great, the swim up bar in the heated pool was a plus, and the view from the 7th story was spectacular! We brought our two year old and he had just as much fun as we did. I will definitely recommend this resort as we’ll return in the near future.

Great resort overall. Basing this review on three things: atmosphere, food, and amenities. Atmosphere (vibes) : lots of young couples and families, they've got a section for adults only if you need to get away. Food: plenty of selection for restaurants French to Italian they've got it covered. Amenities: cool firepits, great pools, one was a little cold but all good. Hope this helped!

It's like a cruise without the ship. Well-run attentive staff. Food was pretty good. I enjoyed La Plaza breakfast buffet daily. The beach is difficult to walk on but worth it. Wear "swim shoes ". Some beach vendors will approach if you leave the property. However, they are not aggressive in their selling techniques. The surf is extremely strong, not many people in the ocean. I felt very safe while on the resort property. Each car is checked — in before they are allowed to enter. If you want a chair at the infinity pool you must get their early or reserve a cabana. The infinity pool is the "happening" pool. The adult pool is much quieter and tranquil.

Great family vacation at top notch all inclusive resort. My family loved the choices and quality of the restaurants with their favorite being the coffee house. The staff was friendly and ready to help. We had an issue at the sushi restaurant the second night when we were ignored by our waiter and walked out. The supervisor at the front desk walked us right to the tapas restaurant and made it right above and beyond. I understand that issues come up and thank the supervisor for turning it around and making the rest of our stay spectacular. I would also like to thank Estban for his outstanding service at Cortijo. We would highly recommend this resort for a first class vacation.

I really liked this place. The food was good, the views were beautiful, the drinks were good and everyone was super nice and went out of their way to make you happy. The only complaint I have is the noise by my room. They were doing construction or fixing something, so for the last 3 days I was there I wasn't able to enjoy my room. Or nap after a long day at the pool. Update: I went back Tuesday — Sunday in Dec. One complaint only. After looking forward to try out the Steak house, it was the worst service. The waiter kept making faces every time we ordered something. Brought the wrong order or flat out didn’t bring what we asked. It was very disappointing. I will leave it at 4 stars because of the other great service at the other restaurants and staff members. They are amazing people.

Fantastic Hotel in San Jose. Service was impeccable and the pool side service and drink were very good. For an all inclusive I was very surprised at the quality of the restaurants and food, way better than any all inclusive I have been too. Room and bathrooms were huge and very comfortable and clean. Definitely will be back.

Nice all-inclusive resort. I'm a vegetarian and very picky, try to eat healthy and organic, and I did struggle a bit with meals here. The Asian restaurant was our favorite, by far. They have a show every night, we liked the International Show and LOVED their special Halloween Show. Very impressed with the talent. Alcohol flows very freely at Ziva, which can be a negative, but we saw everyone having fun without any obvious over-intoxicated issues. The club scene was fun to watch, even for us oldies. Our room was comfortable, we slept well on a great mattress and pillows. Bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. Loved being able to rent a car right at the hotel and parking was easy and safe. Great location. Better than expected experience.

Beautiful all inclusive resort. We are club level and the staff is very helpful and the grounds are beautiful. One complaint — lunch and breakfast are buffet only. No restaurants to sit down and order. This is unacceptable at a 5 star all-inclusive luxury resort. Am glad they have buffets for those who want it and on some days it is ok. But to not have a single restaurant where you can order food for breakfast and lunch rather than having to get in a long line to order an omelet, for example, is really not acceptable at this level and these prices. By The way, the buffet food is mediocre at best. This needs to change for me to come back or I will find some where else.

My husband and I and our friends just got back from a wonderful vacation from Hyatt Ziva. The hotel resort was perfect. The staff were very nice and gave service from the heart. The staff did a wonderful on my anniversary surprise. Loved this place. We will definitely will be back with more friends and family. Swim up room is a must! Thanks so much! Kim and Tim Hux.

Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with great variety. The suite we stayed in was spacious and well appointed. The pool areas are beautiful with bars close by and plenty of staff to take drink orders. Great views. Highly recommend!

Great all inclusive resort. I used during a business convention. Good restaurants and amenities. I tried the French (very good) and Japanese (Good as well). Interesting local wines menu. During February the ocean was cold. The shore is not friendly. (Need more sand) but the landscape is marvelous.

This resort in one word was INCREDIBLE! I didn't have very high expectations as the last all-inclusive resort I visited was nice, but had a lot of improvements that could've been made. Upon arrival guests are greeted with bellmen to take their luggage and complimentary cocktails and cold beverages are offered. Check in was a breeze and the staff was extremely hospitable and accommodating. Our group was almost 30 people and they managed to arrange for our rooms to all be on the same floor and right next to one another. The rooms were impeccably clean and updated and completely stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay including full mini bar, therapeutic pillows, ear plugs, bug spray, sewing kit, unlimited bottles of water, to name a few. Housekeeping came every single day and were extremely sweet and trustworthy. They made sure that the bar was restocked and beds were made daily. The food at the resort was surprisingly great and the large variety on the menu made it easy to find something for everyone! Our favorite place was Coco Loco by the pool. The hotel provided a range of activities for all ages from pool volleyball to kids club to beach yoga to nightly entertainment all included in the resort fee! I can't say enough great things about this resort and most importantly the people who run it. There was not one rude employee of the hotel and we will most certainly be returning. The Hyatt Ziva was my first stay at an all inclusive resort. It was a fantastic experience. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful, always greeting you with a smile. The food is quite good, and there are a variety of options to choose from. There also plenty of bars with fantastic bartenders who can make any drink you can think of. The rooms are more spacious than most hotel rooms I've stayed in, and I've fallen in love with the layout.

Everything is perfect except for the guests who reserve seats at the pool. There are only 5-6 gazebo which are fully covered. (You need it to stay cool during 12-3pm) All of the gazebo seats are reserved by some shameless guests who put their "things" (pants, floats, cheap magazines, towels — wait, towels are hotel's) from 7 am or earlier. We traveled with enthusiastic young men who wanted to stay at the pool 9-6, so I could observe the gazebo occupancy/usage rate throughout the day. Many of those who reserve the seats do not show up until after 10am, then they do not enjoy the pool so long. The pool had signs telling "Reserving seats is not allowed. " However the hotel staff/management did not monitor the rule probably not to irritate the more demanding customers, which irritates the rest of customers. Anyway, if you want good cocktails, go to the cocktail bar at the lobby floor — pool bar is not the right place. I realized it too late — on my last night!

The workers and atmosphere are perfect. The resort is very clean and we'll kept. Room are very nice but the beds and very hard. It's a great place for a family vacation or a coupes getaway. The Wi-Fi is not reliable and constantly loses connection with devices. When you are connected, internet access is sluggish.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Every answer to every concern or question was Yes! The staff is the best! Fastest room service I have ever had. Rooms big! 20 foot ceilings… Spotless… Only reason for 4 stars is food… Somewhat subpar breakfast… every restaurant kind of had the same food but prepared differently. The Hacienda Steak house was the best though. T-bone done to perfection. Overall I would recommend the Ziva!

Great all inclusive resort if your in to that. Professional service, clean grounds and accommodations. Food was good, but definitely feels all inclusive. When I travel, I like to get out and explore. I definitely see the impact to some degree on local commerce as peolpe are more tempted to not leave the grounds. That being said, if you like the all inclusive, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

This resort absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property the staff when above and beyond to accommodate us. The dining experience within all 7 restaurants was amazing. The meals was fresh, delicious, and gave you a reason to try somethings that would not be on your everyday menu at home. The pictures that are posted on the internet do not give true justice to what the hotel has to offer you view wise when you walk through and enjoy the landscape. On a side note, please be careful when you book any excursions off the resort. There were extra changes that were hidden for us and we had to abide by them due to the time restraints and a no money back policy.

Stay from 3/16/2016 — 3/21/2016 The Hyatt Ziva in San Jose del Cabo was a great place to stay with great customer service. I was impressed with the staff friendliness and the promptness in which they took care of all requests. The facility is beautiful, clean, and modern. You won't find a more up kept resort. The location is nice being away fro the craziness of Cabo San Lucas but close enough to be able to catch the bus ($3) or a taxi ($40) to Cabo. Pros: All-inclusive — Room service, buffets, five restaurants (no reservations required), bars, and coffee shop Sports Bar is awesome place to kick back. Adult Pool and Kid Pool along with the Main pool which contains the infinity pool. Beach front fireplaces and cabanas. Fitness Center contained almost everything you need. Cons: Honestly, there are not many if any cons to this place. Only thing that was a minor issue and one that is inevitable was when calling down to the front desk, it was touch to convey what you needed due to the language differences. We called for a blanket and it never showed but I still believe it was just because the front desk couldn't understand my request. Small thing but other than that the place is great.

On January 14, 2016 we decided to go to vacation we selected to go to Los Cabos and decided to stay at the Hyatt Ziva was a beautiful place to go stay there were so many outstanding employee we met Hugo that made our stayed so Pleasant there… We also met a wonderful person there and it was a young man name Gilberto Dominguez he was our bartender very hard work and very beautiful personality. Wow we loved it there so much and next vacation we our coming back with a big group we just can't wait! Thank you again for such wonderful time.

Beautiful but flawed Spectacular location and a dazzling beautiful hotel. Good to great restaurants. Cons: No disco or nightclub, no karaoke club, only nightlife options are theatre show or sports bar with no food service.

A good number of restaurants. Great ambiance. Not too loud. Beautiful pool and view of beach. Showers are lovely, that feel like rain. The jetted tubs are huge. So many restaurants. No limits. No worries about reservations on restaurants.

Beautiful hotel with great staff and facilities. We only ate at the hotel and think the buffet made my whole family sick. Our trip was miserable as a result. Maybe it was the water, but Montezuma's Revenge struck with a vengeance.

Some information FOR PARENTS: first of all, the resort is amazing and the food is outstanding. I can highly recommend it. Some caveats (and I hope Hyatt management reads this) : the kids club is understaffed and closes from 1-2 PM, I have seen better performance in other resorts. Sometimes no one shows up until 9:30 AM. The babysitter can only be paid in cash ($20/h for 1-2 kids), a major hassle. There is an ATM halfway up to the Mega Mart that is cheaper than the resort ATM and it disposes USD notes (BoA: I paid $408 for $400). Lastly, this resort has a major issue with guests reserving lounge chairs. Basically they are all gone by 9 AM with a pair of shoes reserving 2 chaises which is not only ridiculous but also prohibited by pool rules but staff does not care. Other than that I wish there would be Tiramisu for dessert. I recommend buying 1 or 2 pool noodles at the Mega Mart for $4, a 10 minute walk.

Had a 7th floor room, loved everything about the stay. Not having to worry about paying for every drink and meal is a weird but nice change to the normal vacation.

Good hotel, very good service and the food is very varied and rich, it is easy to location the rooms are spacious and very comfortable and beautiful.

Best of all is the Coco Loco and their fish tacos.

The property was really nice, loved the pools and drinks. But the food could be better. The food was just mediocre which is disappointing when you have to eat it for a week…

Super cute, food is very rich and kind treatment only small details that can be serviced in each room.

A great hotel and a great service, you need to repair some trifles of infrastructure, but outside there is of the best.
