Very nice resort, great value. Rooms and grounds are nicely updated. Only two restaurants keeps food choices to a minimum but the food available was good. There are 3 pools to choose from and the hotel's location is very quiet and removed from the part scene of Cabo San Lucas. Though you cannot swim in the ocean there, the beach is very big and clean. The staff is very friendly as well. It is a good value. Restrooms near the pools would be very helpful (only close to the main pool). Beds were comfortable and views were great too!

Seemed like a good resort until today! No air conditioning in the entire resort! We were told it is working but our room temp has gone up 9 degrees in and hour and is as humid as a sauna. There is a cancelled flight full of people that are staying here. Holiday inn was more than happy to move them to another resort with air conditioning. But when I asked what they are doing for the people actually staying here. They say sorry nothing we can do for you. So obviously they could care less about you once they have your money! We have a big group who spent over $10000 to be here. Guess that’s money that is better spent somewhere else. So if you stay here pray nothing goes wrong because if it does you won’t get any help from the front desk or management.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I would never tell anyone to stay at this hotel. Staff doesn’t speak or understand English well at all… bring a translator or Spanish guide! Customer service HORRIBLE! Food the worst I had food that was burnt and ice cold some of the staff was friendly but they didn’t work at the hotel they were vendors. All the drinks except wine is water down even the soda and lemonade. They never brought extra blankets after the 9 requests made if you turn off the AC it’s hot like you are standing in the pits of hell if you turn it on you’re sitting in Antarctica. The Bellboys were the most helpful especially with the poor service offered by the front desk staff… the rooms are clean and not modern so you can tell this hotel is one of the first in the city cause they haven’t updated it since it was built. Outside looks pretty. Suggestion only book this hotel if you plan not to do much at the resort but sleep for that it’s worth the price or you can stay in Cabos San Lucas where everything is at anyway! I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy! DO NOT USE THEIR ATM it ate my card and they don’t know when the people will come to
Retrieve it so now I’m stuck here for 4 more days and if I try to leave early it’s a 250.00 penalty! Book with extreme caution I’m still here til 8/15 and want to cry I feel like a hostage!

They make you pay for your fridge. Terrible service.

The staff and property is awesome. Great accommodations for family fun! Never have to leave the property if you don’t want to. Great food choices and drinks too. They do a very nice job with the upkeep of the large property. We all liked the iguanas that have made themselves at home here. … Oh and you gotta try the amazing fish tacos! Yum. Would love to come back someday!

Where to start… firstly when we first got here we had a problem with our reservation as we had a partial ocean view with a balcony but the Adolfo told us No! Apparently it doesn't matter what your itenary says. Thankfully Christopher fixed it the next day. Secondly servers like Mario in the buffet have zero customer service and the food is definitely too salty. However on the other hand. Even though the room are dated they try to keep them clean and the snack bar was awesome. Entertainment isn't too bad either. Overall I wouldn't come back just because the staff is not welcoming like the other places I've been to in Mexico.

Terrible place, terrible service! The resort was NOT at full capacity yet they did not have enough “hotel towels. ” In addition, the food is always too salty and the servers give you a nasty attitude when you ask them to clean up a table after other guests. Activities does NOT start promptly. For example, karaoke was listed to begin at 8:30 pm and we waited until 9:00 pm in which case it still did not start. The resort only serves ONE kind of beer and that’s Dos Equis. There is certainly a lack of cleanliness in the resort as it is filled with ants. Furthermore, going down in the elevator may give you a heart attack as it stops when you’ve reached the first floor and then suddenly drops after a few seconds. We will definitely not return to this resort. Horrible experience and a total waste of money and time.

Great resort. Excellent choices in the all inclusive buffet. Very friendly staff. Make sure to tip especially housekeeping and the waiters/waitresses at the various bars and restaurants. We had a superior ocean view room which was a little dated but clean. The king beds are super comfortable. All in all great experience. My daughter is going there on her honey moon this year at our recommendation. And my wife. And I will be going back soon.

PROS: There are complimentary bottles of water in your room upon arrival. The bed is huge and could comfortably fit three people if you wanted to. The walk to the beach is very convenient and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The pools are well maintained and gorgeous. There are three different pools to chose from: the main pool, the family pool and the adult pool. There are light switches right next to the bed which I found to be a huge convenience. The showers are quite roomy and the water temperature gets really hot. The natural light that shines through the windows and patio doors is amazing. Almost every worker I encountered was helpful and extremely friendly or cordial. CONS: The walls are thin so you can hear people talking, footsteps from upstairs, people moving furniture, people using the blow dryer, items dropping on the floor, and people outside pushing carts at all hours of the day and night. Mosquitoes can get in the room so I would recommend wearing bug spray to bed. The birds perch on the wood right above the hammock so there were bird droppings on the hammock daily. There are always ants on the lounge chairs by the pool. Housekeeping shows up at a significantly different time everyday. Sometimes it would be around 10 AM and other days it would be nearly 4 PM. The food is not very great. It isn't nasty, but it isn't desirable.

My Husband and I stayed there from June 11-17 2018. We had a wonderful time, the resort was very clean luv the staff very professional. Luv my room they decorated it for my birthday there was rose petals on the floor and decorated with balloons, had beads on the my bed with spelled out Happy birthday, and place a plate in there with a slice of cheesecake on it with happy birthday in Spanish and my name as well. The food was great they change the menu every day. Great service. But what touched me most was how the resort kept us safe during the hurricane rain that we had, the staff worked all day making sure no one slipped on water. Great activities as well.

We stayed at the resort for four nights five days it was a great experience the staff was wonderful the food was great it was easy making reservations for the restaurant that they do all a cart mainly every night the only down thing about that I was supposed to get upgraded with no charge and when I was checking out I had an $80 charge for it but other than that I will be returning to this hotel.

Despite being the last hotel, it is very nice and quiet, the food and services are very good. It allows you to walk to the town of San Jose del Cabo, as well as walking to the stop of the desert route to go for a walk to Los Cabos. Excellent hotel, I highly recommend it.

A great hotel good service and friendliness since you get to the front desk. Large pools are 2 family and one adults and do activities. The rooms I did not like are girls and the beds equal the concept that the hotel has if it is ok but the bedrooms need more decoration, maintenance and they are bigger. In the food they do need more variety the service if it is spotless very friendly and helpful.

Nice price, but would probably go elsewhere in the future. The staff and service was magnificent and attentive, but some of that was lost on its shortcomings. Kind of strange that the family pool has a swim up bar, but not the adult pool. Not a big deal. The restaurant selection was fairly limited with only two restaurants. One being a buffet. The other main issue was just honestly the clientele. Won't go into details here. Your experience may vary.

Decent Resort. Very quiet lots of older people 50+ very great location though. Lots of great restaurants close by $7usd cab ride almost anywhere in town. The buffet by building 5 isnt very good. Restaurant by the beach is by far the best food here. Take a trip to Los Cabos by bus, you wont regret it. Amazing overall experience.

My children had a great time here! The food was good, fresh, and didn't get tirsome like some all you can eat places. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only thing that annoyed me, from a parents perspective, was the 'kids club'. It was staffed by a young woman who spent her entire time in her phone whilst sitting behind her counter. She didn't interact with any kid, nor did would she have noticed if a child decided to escape. Fix that nonsense by hiring someone who has a care and a modicum of English communication skills, and that's would be great.

Food was very bland… pasta chicken basic salad, rooms is very clean, now if you wanted to relax by the pool side you. Must wake up at 6 AM to put a towel down to claim your seat, once the seats are taken then your out of luck, Kids club, well like they advertise, there's not one, the lady quit the same day we arrived and and no one replaced her, now your bar tenders are excellent also the waiting staff at the only restaurant on the place was good. We got tired of eating the same thing so we ended up going out for street food, over all experience was ok not in a rush to get back.

Price-quality relation, excellent service, comfortable rooms, simple but compensated with excellent staff, very happy with the care of Pauline (bartender), Oscar (waiter), my daughter enjoyed the children's area and the ice cream that were delicious.

Good service, good care but the recreation activities are not aimed at families with children and it recreational space for children does not have anything entertaining. You do not leave even an hour to relax since that is not pleasant. Bike rides restricted to only adults.

First off. We had a great time with great friends. It was our first time and the staff was exceptional from the front desk, security, and bartenders. The food was ok, nothing great, and the restaurants very under staffed. The ones working ran there butts off, just not enough of them. This is definitely not the place if you are looking for entertainment and night life. There is only one bar maybe 2 at times open until midnight at the latest. We ended up at the family pool most of the time, there wasn't any music playing allot of the time. We used the Wi-Fi to listen to music on our phone. If you are looking to relax with the family it is the place to be. We were just expecting a little more.

I just got back from 2 weeks at this resort. Yes, it’s a little rustic but with a special charm that brings myself, family and friends back year after year. The reception staff is always awesome and efficient (I would like to mention Carla who, within 5 mins, tracked down my credit and bank cards in a taxi… rough night lol). We were treated to a special get-together as returning guests which was a meet n greet with the general manager, bar/food manager and entertainment manager. They were all very attentive and really wanted feedback. A big shout-out to the security team (very impressive) … Pedro is the man! Service staff is beyond excellent (Fernando) and Cynthia our wonderful/cheerful housekeeping lady. The entertainment was really good, food was good enough that there’s always something for anyone’s taste. The grounds and landscaping are sprawling and well kept with easy access to a quiet and sparsely populated walking beach for beautiful sunrises. It’s not a 5* but is priced accordingly. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy and the place is super safe with a “never too crowded” feel even at 95% capacity. Easy walk to San Jose, Walmart and La Comber for shopping/essentials.
My advice is the ocean view lanai rooms. They have hammocks.
Also very family, romantic and pet friendly (if needed) as there’s a kid section/pool, main party pool and a quiet pool for adults only.

I had a wonderful time at the resort! The people who work there really made my stay extra special. They work really hard, they are very friend, and they try and help make sure you are safe which to me was very important. I took dollars for tips. The pools and landscape were well kept up and the food was ok. They had activities there and the workers really are down to earth, funny, friendly, and helpful. I laughed with almost everyone that was there. The rooms are nice but the air didn't feel like it was working. But the weather was beautiful so it wasn't a problem. They gave us towel cards but I lost mine. I had to return a towel to get a new one. Which was ugh. You had to make Reservation for one of there restaurants that sits on the beach. It's worth it tho, wonderful view. Say hello to Ricardo and Oscar of they're there. Haha.

Love love love! Stayed here twice now. Loved the second floor balcony rooms. Not a fan of the third floor balcony as you have to stand to enjoy the view. Buffet meals always served a variety of choices. Pools are perfect in July with fun activities. Pools were too cold in December. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Looking forward to a return vist!

Lets start off with the good. The tacos at the ala carte restaurant we're good, the drinks were good, the beds were comfy. My son slept on a sofa bed and he said it was comfy. However the pillows were a little too hard but overall that part was good. Now the bad the food in the buffet was not good at all most of the time it was cold unless you got a ready-made omelette. Not a lot of variety. The rooms are very old and outdated. The kid pool was very cold however the adults and activity pool was warm. There is not much to do on that side of Cabo so you will spend $40 each way in a cab to go to downtown Cabo. Unless you rent a car which is $80 to $100 per day. Cabo was beautiful but I would not stay at this hotel again.

I really enjoyed the food and drinks plus the Young man that was serving us was the BEST Ever! Sorry forgot his name but we did give him a great tip! We are Mr. &Mrs. Would like to have had a king size bed. Water wasn't hot for two showers at 6:00am breakfast wasn't open had no service taking us to our room or bringing us back. But the resort was nice in clean. I will give you another chance just for the food if nothing else. Thanks.

Good facilities, small rooms. Incredibly huge beach that is unswimmable. Food is average. Good value for money overall. If your room is in buildings 5, 6 or 7 — boy will you have a loooooong walk to get anywhere. Nice swim up bar. Great parking. A bit old around the edges, but not too bad. Pools are very cold and unheated, so not great in the cooler months.

Stay here for 4 days without leaving the resort: eating, drinking, sleeping, swimming, walking. There were shows every night. Only my sons knew Spanish, but I saw that visitors came from everywhere in USA, Canada, etc. Most servants understand English, but speak less fluently. There were mosquitoes in December. Pretty safe inside resort. You need understand Spanish to read standard taxi fee to different destination, airport is line two in the photo. There are Fitness center too. Phone service, were using T-Mobile, can be used here in Mexico, but roaming will charge you $0.20 per minutes; free SMS, 2G data free too. I love all inclusive policy here. Places could be improved potentially: Provide something to fight mosquitoes; provide conditioner as well as shampoo. More meal choices if cost can be under control. Most importantly, it will be great, if you can provide a SAFE taxi service from airport. Grantee will bring us to Holiday Inn Resort, not any place else. I saw owner always read and reply our reviews, very appreciate this behavior, added this last paragraph.

Food and location is great. Rooms are decent. I would give more stars but they charged me $45 a night extra for having an infant. Really?

One of the original hotels in town, this establishment can show its age. Not in anything like patchy carpets (there's no such thing as a bad carpet). It's just an older model of the all-inclusive deal. Food can taste a little mass-produced, which is what it is! Overall this is a good place. Reception is very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are of decent size, and well cleaned. There are bars scattered around the ground, as are swimming pools. Drop off from the airport is quick, due to position. There are shops and eateries within a reasonable stroll.

Breathtakingly beautiful! I would recommend a beach view. Sunrise/set is beyond words The staff are so amazing, I wasn’t the only one that made lifelong friends. Food never disappoints and no one trying to sell anything on the beach. Not too far from downtown if you want to party, but far enough to have lots of quiet. Walking distance from shopping/grocery/bars IN LOVE!

This hotel is a nice affordable getaway. It nothing fancy. But the staff is nice, the place is low key and quite. Great fish tacos at the ocean restaurant. It a great place to get a way for a handful of nights and just relax and unwind.

Check in was fast and efficient. That was the only good part about this resort. We left this past friday. First of all, I don't expect an all inclusive to be fine dining. This food was horrible… it all came out of boxes… never a decent salad selection, no sign of Mexican food… except frozen, deep fried tortillas… The dining room was at least 80 degrees… the outdoor dining… flies all over the food. Disgusting… The only half way decent meal was breakfast… it guess you can't screw up eggs or cereal. Both coffee makers were broken. We ate out pretty much every meal. The waiters and waitresses were wonderful… for what they had to work with… I had sympathy for them. They had to know the food was unappealing… people just pushed it around their plates. No happy diners. The amount of waste has to be huge… The stuff is awful… people throwing out plates of food. Room was ok. Bed was the best thing there. … sad, but true. We will never return… this place is a hole.

Nice hotel with great staff. The hotel was a $30 cab ride from most of the activities. We ended up renting a VW for just $30 per day. This was well worth the expense.

I enjoyed my stay at the resort. It's very clean and very well maintained for an older resort. The room I was in was not fancy, but it was clean. The room did not have a fridge or microwave, it did however have a coffee maker and ampule supply of coffee, tea and condiments. For an all inclusive the food was good, breakfast was always the best. They have several pools including an adult only pool which I didn't find out about until my last day at the resort. They did have a play place for kids, but not much else for them to do. They resort listed activities on a board near the main pool. They had things like yoga, pool games, karaoke and things of that nature. From what I could tell though not many people participated in any of the activities. They had a few outdoor buffet dinners and shows, but to be honest they were entertaining in a lame sort of way. I spent my days pool side just people watching and reading. I stayed for 5 days, if I had it to do over again I would have made my stay at the Holiday Inn resort a weekend get away. After the 3rd day it just kinda got old for me.

Pros: The staff was extremely nice, the resort was very clean, the resort was walking distance from downtown San Jose, close to the beach and ocean but off limits for swim. Cons: The food was good, but I wish there was more variety of food in the buffet and the one hotel restaurant. I feel like with only two options of food, one restaurant and one buffet there should be more choices. Like swap out the menu daily. I also feel like you should be able to order a bottle of water while eating, it should not only be available by room service in your room. I would have also liked to see more evening activities and night life for adults. I know this is a "family" resort but I am sure parents and other adults staying in the resort would like to go somewhere where the kids are not allowed, that also had extended hours.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are nice and peaceful. Isn't overcrowded at all so you are able to enjoy yourself. 3 pools one for activities, one for families and one adult only (listed in order of loudest to quietest). Ocean was off limits because of the tide but still a very beautiful.

Very Friendly staff. Treated well. Food was good (not amazing). Ala carte place has good food. Main pool plays loud music from early in the morning to late evening. Recommend the "adults only" pool… Very calm and peaceful. Away from the noise. Cab fairs anywhere range from 15-40 US dollars.

Has few rooms in addition to an environment very relaxed, in the is are 3 pools different, the beach is of beautiful view and without mention them restaurants and bars with a good deal of the personal. Very recommendable to spend it well.

Pros: — Rooms are lovely and very spacious. Complete with breakfast nook and beautiful views of the pool and surf. — Cheaper than your average resort. — Staff is attentive. — Quiet. — Pool was very nice to sit and relax. Cons — Drinks are bottom shelf. The beer was swill. — Food is below average. Obviously frozen food for meals. The best thing is the taco/fajita shack near the pool but you need to catch that during the limited time that it is open. — Staff typically has their families hanging out with them during the day. I understand this and I'm not going to rage, but it's not very professional. — It is a very long bus trip to the Cabo San Lucas. This should be understood by knowing that the resort is actually in San Jose del Cabo, but know that you are off the beaten path. — Restaurants in the area are meh. There are a couple of touristy restaurants nearby, but my recommendation is to try Jasmine. High quality Mexican food. Overall, the resort is a nicely put together place, but don't expect decent food and alcohol with the price of the room. Pay attention to the times when the taco shack is open for fresh Mexican food and pay for decent alcohol on your own.

Outstanding, the deal and the warmth of the people who work there is great, I want to return, in all areas and parts of the hotel, the staff is on the lookout for you. Especially the pool bar staff is wonderful, thank you Liney.

Holiday Inn Los Cabos is a really nice resort with friendly staff, nice location right at the ocean. Suitable for all ages. We had a great one week family vacation. Highly recommended.

Had a great holiday, staff was good, food was pretty good. The facility is beautiful, clean, very well maintained. The views were breathtaking, there were horses nearby and you can see them getting water from a nearby pond, all in all a great trip! Best bang for your buck, Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos.

What you are told you will be charged versus what you are charged may change. This happened to us twice during our visit…despite confirmations! Very good hotel, good service, always very friendly especially the reception staff, drinks and food varied and tasty, recommended for family holidays, close to the centre of the city-very nice ride-. The only thing to observe is that in this hotel zone of San Jose del Cabo, NO hotel has a beach for swimming, the sea is always impossible. I suggest you to nearby beaches The Chileno and Palmilla 15 minutes by car via the road that goes to Cabo San Lucas, by the way, another must-see…!

A blast! The service, the rooms, the hotel, the food everything was excellent. The best deal of a part of Yenisei that you are vigilant in details that barbaro!

My husband and I travelled to Los Cobos to spend a 5-day vacation (May5-9) and we really enjoyed it. The resort has a wonderful staff and the employees were always willing to assist. The food was great with lots of choices. I need not mentioned our favorite waiter, HUMBERTO. After two days, Humberto knew just what we wanted and he moves faster than a jet ski. The DJ, Alan a real cool and nice guy kept us updated on night activities which were basically karaoke and traditional Mexican performances. Abel "The Grillmaster" kept the pork chops rolling. We wanted to dance but did not get none of that. I will definitely stay again but, like to make some recommendations: 1. The vanity area next to the shower needs better lightning for make-up and grooming. 2. The resort needs more fun activities in additional to The Karaoke and Traditional Mexican nights. An INTERNATIONAL DANCE NIGHT (may be from (9pm-12 midnight) will surely make a difference in stay. 3. Last but not the least, an OLD SCHOOL NIGHT or GOLDEN NIGHT will bring back those good feelings and make the vacation more pleasurable and, memorable also.

I have stayed here for the last 12 years under different hotel names. The place is beautiful and the staff is absolutely great. With new name and management the food is now inedible and always served cold. I complained and they sent me a plate of cakes from the dining room that were also inedible. Don't be fooled. A waste of time and money.

Our second time at this resort. Love it. Kicked back. Food is okay up to 3 days. Location is terrific. Stayed in the adult wing and well separated from kids and families. With our own pool and ALMA. The best bartender in Mexico! and watch out. She just got her brown belt in karate! Gracias Holiday Inn for an affordable, great time.

I recently had the privilege of going to the Holiday Inn resort in Los Cabos. My sister and I booked an all inclusive package from 11 March to 15 March. I wasn't sure what to expect and therefore kept my expectations low. Having never done this before I did not want to be disappointed by getting my hopes up. By the time we arrived and picked up our rental car, we were both pretty tired. When we got to the resort we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it looked. Very impressive. We checked in at the front desk and were told it would be about an hour and a half before our room was ready. They gave us our wristbands and we then had lunch at the beach snack bar. Again pleasantly surprised. The food was exemplary. By this time it was 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Returning to the check-in desk they told us our room was ready. The concierge on duty took us to our room and answered all of our questions. Very very nice gentleman. After freshening up and a short nap, we went to the pool bar and had a drink. Bartender on duty was very polite. By this time it was suppertime, so we adjourned to the buffet. Not knowing what to expect, and basing our expectations on the typical American buffet, we were absolutely impressed by the quality and variety of food offered. Again my sister and I were very pleased with the quality and politeness of the service from all the staff. For the four days and three nights that we were there, at no time were we less than satisfied.

It is a good hotel has several beautiful beaches and is very comfortable.

Cantina closed early (12). But great fun resort! Good food, great staff. Would definitely go back.

Service and unbeatable.

So I tried to read the most recent review but it was pretty long and I on the other hand didn't think this place was all that bad. 1. When you fly in and you approach what you think is the shuttle clerk beware they will offer you discounted excursions which is just a TIME SHARE TRAP! so shrug them off firmly and get a shuttle for 13 per person or taxi for 45 U. S. Dollars. Oh and pretty anyone anywhere offering excursions for a discount is a time share trap. 2. The resort is pretty well kept inside and out for its age. The service I thought overall was pretty good. Most of the staff were very friendly. Bar staff at the pool and cantina were pretty good. Keep in mind they are not your typical bartenders and seemed to accommodate all request as best they could. Most locals do know this place as the Presidente (just a tip). 3. The food I never really found any problem with. I never experienced empty trays or anything that I could not eat. Only thing is that some of the food lacked flavor but nothing earth shattering. Breakfast was my favorite meal and the snack bar was better than most meals but overall it was not bad. 4. The room was pretty nice and the bed was hard but I had no trouble sleeping. When it comes to mattresses everyone usually has a pretty strong preference. Nice strong water pressure with plenty of hot water. Towels were a little rough but didn't bother me.
