The Pergola is okay, clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly. Food was reasonable, though really not to the standard the chef aspires to. Our room was a little tired but I don't know what the rest of the rooms were like. Really a fairly typical medium sized and priced Mediterranean hotel: not bad but nothing special.

Immaculately clean rooms, very friendly staff. Good fun trying to find your way around the myriad of floors. Any problems notified to staff were sorted to our satisfaction. The usual muppets putting their towels out, and not using the sun beds. These were still not occupied after 2hrs.

Hotel is clean and comfortable, food is good and plenty of choice. All staff worked very hard to make our stay perfect. Our only fault was their cave bar by the wonderful outside pool needs more choice for half board guests and staff from the kitchen to help serve food as bar staff were over stretch.

Beautiful modern decor and the friendliest most helpful staff I've ever met — and I work in the industry. We decided to accept the offer of an upgrade to a sea facing room and it was worth it. Malta is beautiful (though a tad over developed) and to view the architecture from such comfortable surroundings was amazing. I'm posting this on the first evening of our stay, but that just goes to show the impact of the first impression.

Lovely hotel, the staff were friendly, rooms were very clean and the pool areas were great. Spa was a nice treat too, had an amazing couples back massage! The only thing to let it down was the breakfast was only ok and the cleaners knocked on our door very early in the morning, but then it was really clean. A few days after we checked out before our flight home we called the hotel and asked if we could use the pool and facilities before our flight, which they accommodated at no extra cost and was the perfect way to end the holiday! Would definitely recommend and stay again if we come back to Malta!

Fab hotel rooms above average staff helpful and polite lovely pool area. Only small oversite by hotel was our third bed wasn't made up on arrival asked for sheets and had to make bed up ourselves.

Hotel very friendly family super staff with children speaking French among other Myriam who is adorable and very professional fantastic buffet very large choice and super well cooked morning and evening… Very nice apartment with great view of the sea. I can only advise this hotel very good stay with 3 small children.

Very nice hotel a few steps from the bus stop and very quiet. Special Mention to Martha at the reception who offered to arrange a surprise for my daughter's birthday by bringing her a big cake at the restaurant because no one else in the team could have sung in French! Thank you for staying especially nice.

So far so good. Apart from being told 6 weeks before the hol they couldnt give us the 2 bedroom apartment we had paid for several months before. Which was really upsetting although we did get compensation. Thankfully the one bedroom accommodation is very nice. Clean excellent view. Good storage space. Reasonable size for four but not what I wanted. Having to put the sofa bed away every morning. The staff so far have been fabulous. They really couldnt be more friendly and helpful. Pool area also lovely, chilly water in april only to be expected but this hotel does have the bonus of a small heated indoor pool. Would I stay here again. Yes.

Quiet and very clean hotel. The bedding is nice and the breakfast is well furnished. The staff are very welcoming and smiling. The spa is next to the indoor pool and you can get a massage in duo with very friendly French. We had a very good stay. You can also book excursions at the reception.

We enjoyed great service and all very friendly better not going. We like to come back.

Great facility. It was a very nice hotel. Nice pools too. In Winter It is comfortable the one inside with hot water. There is also a gym with basic equipment. It is not hard to find from parked around the property. Cleanliness level compared to other hotels in the area much above average. Friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed from 02/03/2018 to 05/03/2018. We had the room 309 seen on the church and the pool on this side the nothing to say.
The room is clean.
The bedding is not at all comfortable.
There is no heating in the room, one can have air conditioning but that obviously blows from the cold air… We asked the reception that the room be heated, we were told that it did not can set the thermostat! We were offered an extra heat that we were never brought during the whole stay and we went back several times to tell them! So sincerely we got cold all night.
Then another defect was that if you have a thirst there is no mini bar in the room and no machine in the hotel but only the bar that closes in the evening so no drink or fresh water after closing…
Otherwise the hotel is well located 15 min from the boat for Gozo, 35 min from the airport, and 20 min from Valletta.
Sincerely I think there must be better for the same price.

Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Dolores, who greeted us with a big smile on arriving, and was so helpful informing us of all local information, so helpful to us, thank u Dolores. Hotel is an excellent ace to stay,, cleanliness is second to none, rooms are so spacious, food delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. Well done Pergola.

I found the hotel absolutely top! We arrived after midnight from our flight and transfer and have been greeted very friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean! The Mattrazen were very new and really comfortable! Our room even had a bathtub… which was a big plus because my girlfriend and I like to bathe. The staff was always professional and friendly. The breakfast is typical British but the bake the eggs on request! We also have a gift certificate for a Jacuzzi in the wellness area included! was very relaxing! All in all we can highly recommend the hotel!

A great hotel: sensational value for money, good food, nice spa area. And the special feature: the entire staff from reception to service in the restaurant is remarkably friendly, attentive and present. We can recommend the hotel fully and will check in again.

Great place. Very clean. Polite staff. Late check out option and the spa is worthy of a visit. Definitely be coming back. Juat be mindful of access though. Whilst the hotel has lifts, the area is extremely steep and the only way of getting around is up and down lots of steps and steep hills. I've added some photos if the view from our top floor room as well as some of the local area.

Friendly service in reception. Cheap price. Clean, good breakfast, nice room. Five stars. We are like return this hotel.

Modern but not comfortable for so much. Couch in Apartment 05 totally uncomfortable. The doors are not closing well. No smoking on the balcony, if you are smoking useless to take a room with balcony for that. Lack of maintenance heating which made too much noise, no cork in the bathtub, tasks on the chairs in the restaurant. The staff are dedicated and welcoming. Beautiful view of the church and the sea. The pool was much larger on photo. I think the stars have to be assigned according to the services provided.

Good hotel, clean, quiet, modern and friendly. For the very cheap flat rate of FTI over Christmas very fine.
Somewhat confusingly built, and rooms partly unfavorably oriented. As far away from the beach and without outside area (only small terraces), not suitable for stay during the day. Don't want to know how this is in season!
The Breakfast (€6 PP/day) is very rich, and you get the greatest effort to make the best of the worst ingredients. This is fine in view of the price, but if you prefer to drink your coffee in the room and not so much on scrambled eggs and baked beans, it should be better.

Cannot complain. Was enjoyable getting lost in a hotel woth a different style. Lots of on site facilities and entertainment. Multiple pools, a gym and spa. The food in particular was satisfactory and enjoyable. Would come again.

Read a lot of reviews… It's not true. A good hotel.

This hotel was disappointing compared to the Maritime where we were the year before. The lift system was difficult to manage. 2 different lift systems to get to different areas of the hotel! One member of reception staff who was Irish, would be 'difficult' if a complaint was made or she didn't like the look of your face. She also gave us wrong information about opening times during a public holiday. The waitering staff were pleasant and courtious. The food was nice although it lacked variety in the way it was cooked. Road works right outside the hotel was noisy and they tried to charge me extra to move my room away from it. The pool rooms were by far the nicest, but poor refrigeration was a let down. Had to get 2 replacement fridges before getting one that really chilled drinks.

We spent a all'inclusive day at the poolside very nice!

A bit of a mixed review. Positives first — 1. Greeted by a very friendly receptionist Dolores, 2. Rooms clean and spacious. 3. Breakfast had a decent spread, although unable to cater for special dietary requests, 4. The cave bar and pool area is a nice spot to relax. Negatives — 1. Slightly awkward encounter with bar staff at cave bar. Was taking a picture of my wife and the bar man asked me to not take pictures of him (very presumptive that I was taking a picture of him), he said it aloud so the whole restaurant could hear. I thought he was joking at first and laughed it off, but then he approached me privately and asked me again not to, as he can't afford to buy me a new phone (which effectively meant he would break my phone if I took more pictures of my wife). Not the sort of holiday start I wanted. 2. I asked the same chap about dinner at noon and told him of our dietary requirements (pretty much a vegan diet), he said it should fine with the pastas and sandwiches. However when we came later on at dinner, it turned out the pastas were not suitable for our dietary needs and the sandwiches were not available for dinner. We were not offered any alternatives I. E. The hotel cannot cater for vegans. I asked for recommendations and was told a few places to go to — all of which could also not accommodate vegans appropriately.

Comfortable apartments, service Appart-Hotel OK. Excellent location Pool facilities OK. Not tasted the restaurant.

I would recommend this hotel. The food was super very clean and the staff very friendly.

I stayed here for 2 weeks with my family in September. I have to say it was the best holiday I have ever had staying at The Pergola and I've been to Malta many times. Our self catering apartment had a fabulous view of Mellieha and the sea, it was clean and very big inside. The buffet breakfast is worth a try. Full English and continental breakfasts with a large selection. There are special themed all you can eat food nights in the restaurant and an all you can eat barbecue which was great. The layout of the hotel is very quirky but this just adds to its charm. All the staff at the hotel were great and always helpful but I have to mention Roberto, he went above and beyond the call of duty, his customer service skills are second to none. I highly recommend the Pergola to anyone, in fact we enjoyed our stay so much we have joined the Endless Holidays scheme. I have booked quite a few holidays here for 2018, I can't wait to go back!

My wife has been to malta before but it is my first time but I have to say this is a awesome hotel and friendly staff absolutely loving it, the apartment is spacious, well equipped and very clean, the hotel caters for all budgets and has a themed meals in the evening. A exceptional hotel!

It is a pretty large hotel. The distance to public transport is acceptable. The island"s biggest sandy beach is by near the village.

Well located in Melienha. Accessible to all bus routes.

A friendly, well-appointed hotel and very reasonably priced. Be prepared that it is built on a hillside, but there are lifts and entrances top and bottom. Floor levels are a little confusing as one half of the hotel is numbered from the bottom up and one half from the top down! You are given a floor map on registering.

Nice hotel, recently refurbished. The staff are friendly and very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. A great infinity pool and cave bar on the Fourth​ floor. The veiws over the town and over Gozo from the terrace are excellent. I stayed on a b&b basis and can report the breakfast was very good, catering to all tastes. And for UK tourists it is great to report that the hotel is, like the rest of Malta, English speaking with 3 pin plugs as standard (there is also one continental two pin plug on each room). The is also a further pool on the 1st floor, and also a gym and indoor pool with jacuzzi. The bus stops are a 1 minute walk away giving you access to the whole island, it's really easy to get anywhere on the island for €1.50. All round, a nice place to stay.

Great hotel after a reservation problem because of a website "Amoma" that had not sent the reservation to the hotel they handled the problem with great serious I recommend it!

Easy parking in the area, room as per description, five stars for the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast you can avoid.

The rooms are good, attention the Suplemeng balcony without seen on the pool overlooks other balconies directly, not on the outside.

My experience at this property (Hotel La Pergola) was not the best. I stayed there with the whole family for 10 days in late August (2016). 4 star hotel that compared to the Italian facilities could be a poor 3 star.
The cleanliness of the room left to be desired throughout the period, there was no constancy and even after having pointed it out nothing has changed.
Having opted for the only overnight stay I cannot express myself on eating.
The booking was made via tour operator (online) for a room for 4 persons (2 adults + 2 children). I was assigned a DeLuxe apartment. The apartment was very spacious, consisting of a double bedroom (with two single beds coupled and not prepared as a double), a bathroom (with tub and no bidet) and a room (with kitchenette and sofa bed). I found uncomfortable the sofa bed solution to let the kids sleep, I was also given a sunbed with bars for the smallest (2 years old) but it was very rundown. The room then was in a detached wing of the structure and to reach it from the reception you had to take an elevator, go through a tunnel and then resume another elevator. A poor balcony overlooking the street level.
I admit I was disappointed as my expectations were other and because the images that are on the site give another rendering of the structure.

We had to pay 2 times this is unacceptable room without window and personal incompetent!

The Pergola was a nice place to linger. The staff were extreamly friendly and helpful. We loved especially restaurants and entertainment. The BBQ was strongly recommended to Brill. Will come back soon.

The hotel La Pergola and very nice beautiful pools "they have 3"… but the lack of this hotel and that the food and a bit lousy.
