Luna Holiday Complex is really lovely with nice attention to detail. Our room is spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a few ants in our room which was reported to reception and within 5 minutes it was dealt with — not seen any more since. The receptionists and staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and they are all so friendly — let's face it, a smile cost's nothing! Having a wonderful time so far and about to start exploring this beautiful island 🏝

Great service throughout the hotel. Heated pool was fantastic to swim in!

Breakfast is delicious, however, your advert states that your indoor pool is heated when it is definitely not. The pool area is freezing and wind was coming through glass doors. We were not comfortable at all. The cherry on the cake was that the roof is full of condensation and cold drops of water were dripping on us all the time, both in the pool and on the deckchair. We had to leave early as this was not pleasant at all. Having said this, I have to say that breakfast area waitress and receptionist were extremely nice and helpful. Thank you.

Came 2 weeks ago for the first time, we are here again this weekend and also booked for end of january, lovely clean rooms well equipped with cooking facilities and the staff are very nice and helpful, we have our little chihuahua with us this time as its pet friendly.
would definitely recommend.

We, my wife and I have been to Luna for the third time and we will be back! The rooms are very clean, partly freshly renovated. The rooftop bar and pool are for adults only, and have a beautiful view of Melliha town and bay. The breakfast is according to a 3 star hotel. The staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating, specially Maria Scerri, she is doing a great job! We`ll be back in August 20

I didn’t expect much at the price, it’s cheap & that’s what you get. We were prepared to accept the cracked tiles, broken ceiling tiles, ripped curtains & lack of views, but the cigarette stench wasn’t acceptable!
Best part is the roof pool, that’s really nice & the bfast was ok if you ignored the watered down coffee & juices.
The main issue was the room, it stank of stale smoke & no matter how many times we complained they just sprayed the room with air freshener. Every morning I woke up coughing. We even emailed the manager who didn’t even bother replying. Our balcony looked onto a wall & a roof full of cigarette butts. The view cant be helped — but cigarette butts can! It’s a shame as if the room didn’t stink so much it would have been ok. Basic, tad dark, but adequate. : (

We love the Sky Rooftop Area/Bar/Lounge which is adults only. Lovely pool area, never a problem getting a sunbed. Fab service, good food, fantastic views of the Bay. Loving it.

Had the best two weeks ever at the luna holiday complex in mellieha malta, the staff were excellent and so helpful, especially sinead, what a credit she is to the hotel, made us welcome from day one until the day we left, the chambermaids were very thorough and our room was kept spot less, we have been going for 15 years now and our stay and facilities improve every time we stay, thanks to all the staff at the luna for being so caring and understanding to our autistic daughter jess, she always feels very happy to stay, thanks see you all again soon!

My family 5 people have just stayed at luna for 3 weeks the hotel is very clean, rooms are very nice hotel staff are really amazing, helpful, polite, careing professional well done luna … my elderly parents absolutley loved it and are going to book to come back for another month.

We stayed from July 26 to August 2, positive experience. A nice complex, a very satisfying reception,. We were on the first floor tidy room, towels changed every day and sheets every 4 days. Every day they make bed, toilet and floor. Not bad also hob and fridge, cutlery and pan suffices for 2 people. Parking always free except on Saturdays and Sundays which is always full. Fantastic pool in the terrace.
Only notes that could further enhance the property would be a shower and sink reordered for standard rooms.

I would say that the hotel should be rated as a two stars hotel, because you have the air conditioning and a small TV in every room it doesn't make it a three star hotel. The flooring, the shower, the decoration are very dated. Cleaning wasn't done properly every time and on Saturday they had a Karaoke party that lasted way too much after an acceptable hour. Our baby couldn't sleep and we had a very rough evening because of that. When we called the reception at ten pm they were very expeditive and didn't seam to care much about the comfort of all guests.

The location is very convenient, outside Mellieha, within walking distance of a wide choice of restaurants, in front of the bus stop (optimal means of transport in Malta) with which you reach the most famous beaches of the island in a short time and in 70 minutes you arrive in Valletta.
Small in-house shop (unfortunately closes at 17:00), but there are others within walking distance.
A few minutes' walk, or one or two bus stops, wide beach equipped, certainly not one of the best, but still comfortable for a half day at the seaside.
Good definitely the price, that's why it still deserves 4 stars in my opinion.
Negative note: the Wi-Fi line is paid in the rooms (free in common areas), but extremely unsteady and weak — to such an extent in my opinion it should be free.

Definitely below average. Bad food, self-service dinner without tablecloth (not even paper) and often no tablework. Cleaning rooms only once a week. You charge for any service, from the safe deposit box to the Wi-Fi in the room, carbonated water at meals. 90, of two pools one, small and mostly in the shade, is accessible to children. Only positives are the pool on the terrace with hydromessage and music lounge, the comfortable supermarket and the strategic location close to the beaches. Warning: they only speak English.

Nice place At first I was very sad for my choice, altought I understood that I was paying too much for the offered services. This is as well appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable hotel with impressive public areas. But, sadly, if you book through a tour company, instead of directly with the hotel, you feel like a second-class guest. Those who book direct benefit from free Wi-Fi in the room as well as daily housekeeping. Wi-fi was not a problem as it was free in the foyer but the lack of daily housekeeping surprised as we have travelled widely, staying in both small and large hotels, and this is something we have never experienced before. Bins were emptied, and towels changed, every other day and bedding was changed after four days. Our room was well-equipped with a kitchen area and we enjoyed free air-con. The lighting, however, had not been properly thought out and was very poor. This mattered as the shower room was right next to the patio doors and our balcony was within a few yards, and at right angles, to the next block's balconies. We had no privacy whatsoever and to change or shower we had to pull the curtains and put the lights on.

Stay may 2018: — Location: Perfect if you want to get away from the surrounding chaos of the capital. In the midst of all the places to visit: North Gozo with the ferry/East Mdina, Mosta, Rabat/on Valletta and the airport.
— Bedroom/bathroom: New, convenient with a kitchenette, with balcony (view on the beautiful cathedral at the top of the hill of Melliha).

The room and the bathroom tended to be very humid but it is because of the climate.
— Service: Very friendly staff and very helpful: on the spot you can take the transport maps, reservations for cruises around the islands, activities at sea with discounts.
— Breakfast: Very good, varied and rich. Small downside for orange juice that is not pressed.
The advantage of this hotel is the lounge of the roof: a superb swimming pool with a bar, Jacuzzi, a VIP corner, exposed all day in the sun with a view 360 ° sublime. Comes a very restful calm. Big Big shot.

I need more time here. One night wasn't enough. The scenery is to die for.

I have just spent a week here with my husband and our two young children (aged 5 & 1). We loved our stay. Our apartment, 6302, was beautiful, modern and clean and had a great view. So close to the fabulous beach. The Luna Mini market had a great selection and was so convenient, with friendly helpful staff. In the hotel, Ben on reception and Maria in the bar made a particular impression on my son, Freddie. So warm and kind & made plenty of time for us all, no matter the query. The food at Don Tonino's was brilliant & plentiful. Pizza's especially delicious! Would definitely recommend staying here fpr the friendly people, great location and stunning hotel. Thank you.

A good hotel, perfectly located, on foot — a big beach, 10 minutes by bus — a ferry to the island of Gozo.

Nice accommodation. Location is also good near a beach and near many bus ststions. Rooms without sea view are overlooking a very noisy road.

Basics covered. Some things are better than others. Beds not the best but manageable, pillows not good. Most staff are really nice and helpful. Half board both good and bad. Rooms with Seaview are probably a must for the extra Comfort. Irish Sinead is very nice and helpful.

Fantastic room, book direct to get the free air con and Wi-Fi. Pools aren't massive but big enough. Well located for the beach and bus services.

Enjoyed my stay here, food was good, entertainment was OK not great but OK, room was clean, also new towels every 2 days, staff friendly, some alot better than others at there job's. Young waiters very good found roof pool better. Over all nice place.

Booked 2 rooms : a family room for ourselves and a single for my mum. Both rooms are big, clean and modern. The complex is very well organised, has a minimarket, a restaurant, a bar and two pools, one on the rooftop, by the solarium. Glad we chose Luna for our visit to Malta!

We stayed a week at this hotel, in a quiet area of Bugibba, one of the most peaceful places in Malta, where it is easier to enjoy the beach and nature.
Very good location, 5 minute walk to reach the Bay of Mellieha.
Most of the staff speaks Italian. Some rooms have a nice view of the sea and are equipped with a kitchenette and oven, which allows to manage at best, like a small apartment. Inside the hotel is in fact also a minimarket where you can have your spending.
There are also two swimming pools, I must say that the hotel was a good choice.

Rather downmarket place. Noisy location. Don't really like it.

Ten years ago I stayed there and I still have bad memories about the room we had.

A brilliant place to stay clean friendly and very helpfull I was lucky enough to be given a free upgrade to a superior room with sea view at no extra cost, beautiful beaches just 2 minuites walk and all the ferrys to gozo ect just behind the hotel, rooftop pool has magnificent views of the bay and if you like your fireworks you wont be disappointed here the island is crazy for them from may to december all in all I cant rate it enough thank you for a lovely break.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during the last week of August and we were fine. The room was facing the road with much coming and going of cars and noises to no end, the bed had sheets stunted, the room was redone in the 4° day and don't talk about the bathroom old and sickly; Breakfast poor. A disaster. Surely we would not go back. The location was great only for public transport and for the sea.

I spent ten days in July 2014 with the idea of making sea and relaxation.
The hotel is a few hundred meters from the largest Beach in Malta (Ghadira) and comfortable, with buses, to other beaches. Valletta is about an hour by bus as well as the airport.
The area is full of restaurants and bars, although of a slightly English offer excellent fresh fish.
Actually for the troubles I used especially the pool which, although not huge, is convenient and with a spectacular view.
The hotel has modest but adequate finishes at the price. Everything we had in the room (a double with kitchenette, terrace; Tv and air conditioner) working and the staff are very helpful (they speak little Italian but you understand). The cleanliness of the hotel and the room is good. Change towels and empty bins every day and doing housework and changing the sheets every four.
I haven't tried breakfast and lunch because I was using the kitchen.
Some details not entirely convincing: the nozzle of the conditioner too direct over the bed; housekeeping that they happened unfailingly in time for his NAP (13:30-14:30) ; Convenience store prices for Italian products a bit high.
I recommend it for a quiet vacation at the right price.

I suppose we got what he paid for. An apartment with all extras (including the safety box) at a rental cost. The apartment is well located and gives you access to the beach and restaurants nearby.

When we were there we had no complaints.

We recommend the Luna Holiday complex to one we have stayed here 3 times and it gets better every time, if the employees are from the girls at the front desk, restaurant and bar staff and a Manager, which go to support, out of the way, we love the small shop, which is amazing it is located on the back of the Luna shares, that too can hardly wait everything and more Hello to the shop staff, back again, the rooms are impeccably fresh towels and very often we change linen love the family atmosphere at the Luna love debs and Danny from Manchester :) thank you.
