Nice room, great breakfast before early flight, big bed, AC works properly. A lot of towels, cozy atmosphere. 20min from airport by foot. Somebody smokes in the hall.

Bus around don’t work till July 4th, and the government don’t make clear notice. So be prepared to take taxi to Valletta if live here. Other than that, very nice place and the owner Marvik is an awesome guy.
Malta government should do a better job.

We loved it very much. So clean and welcoming and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again next time we are going to the airport. There is a small kitchen to make yourself a cuppa etc. Very well organised. Thank you Marvik for a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend this place.

Good comfortable bed, beautiful lounge, good airco which we could use as heating (it was cold). The owner, Marvik is very friendly and helpful. He told us where to find a good places to have dinner (we picked a good kabab place, about 10 minute walk, at the petrol station) and a provided a good breakfast selection we could take us for our very early morning departure.

Booked very last minute as we had booked somewhere else in Luqa which was horrible! The owner Marvik met us as we parked and really could not have been nicer. The Guest House used to be the home of the RAF squadron leader, hence the name. The foyer/breakfast area is stunning. There is free tea and coffee, biscuits and even juice. Marvik arranged our early taxi and sorted a lovely takeaway breakfast as we were flying so early. Honestly I can't fault this place — read a few negative reviews but we would stay here again. Yes the TV is internet based but someone kindly didnt log out of their Netflix account so we were happy! A lovely end to a fab week in Malta. Oh and you can walk to the airport from here — takes about 20 mins max.

This is a great lil clean, quiet place to stay. I just needed 1 night as I had a flight to catch the next day.
There's a shared living room w/ a comfortable, nice looking room. No one else was there the day I stayed.
I had fresh cold & hot water in pitchers for coffee or tea & water bottles in my bedroom. They even had some herbal tea which I like in the evenings. This use to be a squadron leader's home from WW II era, but you wouldn't know it by looking at it. It is located close to the airport & off a main road, but seems off the beaten path. It's not a place where there's a nightclub or anything. I like that it's a safe place w/a historic background. The TV has YouTube, so I listened to music & the bird tweeting outside in the courtyard. It's a Smart t. V. But you have to use your Netflix acct, etc. If you want to watch t. V.
The bedroom is quite roomy & the bed, comfortable. The bathroom is small, with the shower as part of the toilet/sink area. The tile floor throughout is a nice accent. I booked this room months ahead, but because I wasn't an experienced world traveler & hadn't been to Malta, I emailed the owner many times. He answered timely & politely as one subject led to many questions. When I arrived I was greeted kindly & shown how everything works. Since I had to leave before their breakfast time, they gave me a sack brunch.
Look at my pics & see if you might like to stay here. It was a reasonable cost for me & a perfect fit.

Let's start with the positives. The owner and his staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is very good. The bedroom and lounge were smart and clean and nicely furnished, with reading material provided, and I have to concur with the positive comments in earlier reviews. However, I have to say that choosing this was for us a mistake; it just wasn't for us. The main issues that I wish we had been aware of were the shower room and the television. The latter had no channel listings, just Netflix or the internet, with the cursor being moved around by the arrows. We were assured that the internet would allow us to watch the BBC, but I could not get any programme, live or on IPlayer to work. We have a shower room in our motorhome, and that is bigger than the shower room we had at Squadron Base. We were told that the door had to be closed firmly to stop water flowing into the bedroom — in fact, it had to be locked from the inside. The claim that toiletries are provided was questionable. I expected the usual soap/ shampoo/ body lotion. All there was was a large bottle of handwash. Worth knowing also that there are no restaurants or cafes nearby, just take-aways. So, overall, disappointing, but that's probably just a matter of taste, as other guests appeared to have enjoyed it.
