Hili Complex

I have booked a penthouse in this complex in gozo for a one night stay. The place was filthy and no stairs access with the lift barely working. We had to leave cause I wasnt comfortable and when I told him, he told my husband that he can sort out a room for us in his house and we can stay there. I had also booked everything through booking. Com and he didnt give me a penny back.
We left and had to boom somewhere else without this person giving us the money.
I truly believe that the building is against mepa permits I have never seen a property with no stairs and the only access to the lift is a stairs.

Would not recommend to my least favourite neighbour. Its at its bare minimun, broken furniture, rusty appliances, no aircon, broken and rusty fans and false advertisement. Apartment was still dirty with previous tenants towels and toothpaste splattered all over the bathroom, black mould on the pillows and towels and bedding looked like they were at least 10 years old, discoloured and worn off. Sofa bed advertised was broken and would even open up. Water damage everywhere. Doors dont close properly… where do I stop? Property is only accessable by a lift that half the time does not work. No stairs or emergency exit, so when the lift is stuck you are stuck upstairs at the mercy of the owners until they decide to answer and reset the lift. I am pretty sure that this is also illegal. What is supposed to happen in case of fire or power shortage? Do you just get stuck in there? Owners only accept cash payment and wouldn't even give us a receipt after we payed treating us like idiots so they can not declare their cash income. This bulding should be reported to the Malta Tourism Authority and shut down. Pity, as the view is absolutely gorgeous, only good thing about it all.

The view and the apartment are very nice and worth money value, but it should be maintained better. The beds are uncomfortable, one of the bedroom is in the stairs with the pipes in it and you to hear all the time the water coming down. Sofas are 5 pieces around the place. It should be maintained better.

Great place yo stay in Gozo. Pet friendly with a lot of space, welcoming host, a deal of privacy upstairs and incredible views. Very popular place, so not easy to reserve, but worth the hassle. Spotlessly clean and with al facilities except Air-conditioning, however with breeze at all times.
