The customer service is good and the staffs are friendly and helpful they will immediately assist you when you have any inquiry. The breakfast is great, is beyond my expectation! Room is clean and cozy! We slept very well. Overall everything is good. Sure will come again.

Very friendly staff and manager. Some rooms are without window. Be sure to check with reception about the room. Breakfast are quite a choices, from local delicacies to english breakfast. Open rooftop bar with awesome night view. Be sure to check them out.

Chulia Mansion is very well located in the center of everything with a very close bus stop and a minute walk to Love Lane. The hotel is super clean, the staff is very kind and the rooftop bar and the free ice cream are delightful details that made our stay perfect. The shower could use a little tune up as the shower curtain didn't cover much and the showerhead kept falling off. We highly recommend a stay at Chulia Mansion!

Location is very good for backpackers, being close to the backpacker bars. The staff are helpful and friendly, the added benefits are great (happy hour drinks and ice cream). The bed is quite hard, so make sure you are OK with that, the shower is also not great. I would rate the bed and shower below Tune hotel, everything else is better than Tune.

Receptionist was attentive and helpful. At Level 1 the cafeteria served buffet breakfast, they changed these main courses; rice, noodles, pasta and pastries everyday. From 2-6pm it served free flow coffee, tea and biscuits. After 6pm, go to the rooftop… The service we received at the rooftop was first class! It was our favorite spot to chill-out and relax. They served complimentary red/white wine or soft drinks plus a self service free flow of ice cream. Thanks to bartender Khair who took wonderful care of us. Khair has made our holiday enjoyable and his warm thoughts made all the difference, thumbs up! The sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. Unfortunately our room (409) was a bit noisy at times, we could hear rush of water/sound of babbling water (it wasn’t raining outside) and you may replace the hair dryer which was not working.
Easy access to heritage places and streets food from Chulia Mansion. From the hotel entrance, make a right turn onto Lebuh Chulia where you will find streets food hawkers (open at night only, some hawkers closed on Sunday), barely 2mins walk. Continue to walk further towards traffic junction where you turn right (link bike at site) to visit Khoo Kongsi. From hotel entrance, turn left and turn left again onto Lebuh Cintra for more streets food.

One of the best hotels. Have vegetarian breakfast too… Free coffee, drinks, ice-cream, biscuits… Near to almost all attractions… Friendly staff. Most recommended hotel.

Love it. Close to hawkers. Service is good and room is awesome. They upgraded my room with no cost too.

Very good breakfast family room were also very good and 24 hours free tea ice cream buscit available.

Perfect stay where everything fit
The hotel is great, it offers even more than it offers. Great clean rooms, extremely friendly staff, top location, two free geranium on the roof terrace and a kilo of free laundry every day, a bar where you can treat yourself to coffee and pastries or drinks for free. What more could you want? Free breakfast also with it and the buffet water really plentiful stocked, especially with Asia Food but there were also others. A great place to stay with a hotel worth recommending.

Smaller hotel, vin a very interesting area? It's a good place to stay, and walk to places of ' interest', without too much effort. Street food vendors abound, from the early evening, and the bars, have ' happy hours' of various value. However, the roof top bar, at Chulia Mansion, is an unsung hero. At present, a guest is given a voucher for a promotional drink, per night. The bar manager could not be more personable, and the view of the city is great, an unexpected bonus.

Advantages: Great service. Friendly staff. Nice convenient location. The hotel lies on chulia street where it springs to life with many food stalls at night. Tea and biscuits are available 21/7. Free flow vanilla or chocolate ice cream available till 10 pm. Breakfast was beautifully presented but not all dishes are good. Though it is made up with quantity and variety. There are fruits, salad, yogurt, steamed dim sum, cooked dishes (fried rice, noodles, pasta, prata, etc), bread, etc. Jacuzzi available at the rooftop till 10 pm. Laundry (coin operated washer and dryer) is available just nearby. (Ferringhi) Disadvantage: Would be better if the shower is better.

The ultimate customer experience. The Deluxe is very spacious. Amenities provided. They have endless coffee/tea n biscuits from 2pm till 12am. Free drinks at the rooftop bar from 6pm to 12am. Free ice cream as well. Beautiful hotel. Strategic location. Will definitely stay here again.

The transportation is very convenient, on the Chulia Street on the counter reception is very kind every night in the top floor of bar has a free drink to enjoy, is a very high CP value accommodation!

Great value for money! Nice clean and modern rooms. Two new bottles of water are provided daily. You can also tap drinking water (cold + warm) at any time at the water dispenser. Very friendly staff. Great rooftop bar with free drinks from 17.30 to 19.30 pm.

Value for money! The exterior facade might look as ordinary 3 star hotel. But they provide some of the services that other competitors won't offer. And it is free. At the rooftop, they provide Rooftop Bar and serve free-flow wine at specific time. For muslims and non-alcoholic person, you might enjoy the environment with free-flow ice-cream with no cost. The other side of rooftop also provide jacuzzi for the guest, and again this also for free. Mansion Cafe located at the 1st floor, opened 21hours everyday. Breakfast are served here and the menu are better than some of 4 or 5 star hotel. Strategic location that make it easier for you to rent any scooter, bike or car just nearby the hotel. It is also walking distance for many place at Penang's city centre.

Great little hotel in the heart of Georgetown. This is the perfect stay for a few days in penang. Close to every thing you need. Good bars and restaurants just outside. And in walking distance to 1st Avenue shopping mall. If your in penang to fix your Thai visa then this place is 20 meters from the famous Jim's place so you don't have to worry about that to. Free wine in the rooftop bar between 5.30 and 7.30. Free ice cream from 2 pm.

Affordable hotel with so much to offer. Great breakfast, free afternoon tea, free ice cream, free wine and juice, bottled water in the room and also unlimited water in dispenser. Located in central area but in quite place. Many westerner stay in here.

Want to push this Penang accommodation ⭐️ location is super good, although not in Everbright Transfer station, but Chulia Street is very lively evening a lot of food, walk a few steps there are a lot of beautiful bar, there are super backpackers love the Love Lane ⭐️ room is very clean, refrigerator, Hair dryers are available (as many Malaysian hotels will not) ⭐️ super cheap! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were cozy and comfortable to stay in. What surprised me was the buffet breakfast and free-flow drinks and free ice-cream at the roof. Even better is the street this hotel is located. Great local food around the area. Definitely will return should I stop by Penang.

Great hotel in the heart of George Town, fantastically friendly staff, great value for money. Free flow wine from 5.30 — 7.30 was unexpected but very welcome. The rooftop bar with its very friendly staff is a great place to watch the sunset. The rooms are contemporary and clean, with LCD TV and safe. This hotel punches way above its weight,. Would definitely stay here again.

I love Chulia Mansion and am always happy to return. The hotel is very modern and new. Everything is super clean and the beds are very comfortable. Friendly and professional 24hr reception staff. Location is great, right in the heart of Georgetown, surrounded by Bars/Nightlife but still quiet in the rooms. Free cold/hot water on every floor, amazing breakfast buffet, simply the perfect place for me to stay in Georgetown. Will come back for my 3rd stay in a few weeks.

For a 3 stars hotel — this is beyond expectation! Free drink and ice creams — 5.30 to 7.30 pm at rooftop. Between 2.00 pm — 6.00 am, you can have your coffee fixed at any time as much as you wish Decent breakfast — Asian, Western and they serve roti canai too. Plenty of delicious food to choose from and they are all tasty! Their room is clean, they upgrade me to superior room and the check in process take less than 5 mins.

I cannot fault this hotel. One of the best I've stayed in. There is a breakfast buffet which is as large as you'd expect in a restaurant with cereal, Asian dishes, western dishes, eggs to order and desserts. The roof operates as a bar with free drinks at a certain time in the evening. On the opposed side of the roof is a hot tube. The room was extremely spacious with everything you would need. The shower was good. The AC was fine. Our room was cleaned daily. The location is great and we could walk to all of the attractions we wanted to see.

Comfortable rooms and beds, the best breakfast buffet I've had in a long time, and amazing "free-flow drinks" (red/white wines, soft drinks) served free on the rooftop from 5:30-7:30pm! They give you water bottles when they refresh the rooms, but there are hot and cold water refill stations on every floor. The cafe also has cookies, coffee, and teas available all day. The only thing I was expecting that they didn't have was laundry, which is a quick walk down the street.

First visit to Chulia Mansion and I must say, Hotel staffs are most helpful and friendly. Price wise, it sure worth every cents as the room is spacious, Free Breakfast, tea break and even a drink in the evening tlat the roof which is served by a passionate and friendly Khair.
Would definitely recommend to firends and a return visit to such a lovely and convenient hotel.

It is a nice and clean hotel in the aera where everything happens. Breakfast very good! As additional service you have free laundry free coffee and biscuits all day and free drink at the top roof. And a nice bubble pool. The bartender Khair and staff super and very helpful.
It is the second time I am here and would gladly come back.

While the hotel is in a good location and reasonably priced, I felt it was a bit utilitarian. It was very much like a concrete block and the rooms had little in the way of furnishings to soften this. Having said that, it was well run and the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was quite weak, but we were given free drinks each night on the rooftop bar. Would have preferred something with the charm of the rest of Georgetown.

A well-run hotel, with free drinks on the rooftop bar each day for guests. The rooms were spacious. I wasn't keen on the feel of the hotel or food area (quite clinical), but it was very practical and a good location. I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again, except for convenience. It lacks the charm of Penang!

Amazing hotel, wonderful staff, great rooms and it's located at almost the centre of Penang. From the outside it might look quite small but the inside it is different, but I think the best part of this place was the free international breakfast for all guests. Delicious food! And you even get free unlimited ice cream and there snacks during the rest of the day is pretty tasty too. Plus you get a voucher for the drinks at the rooftop bar and also access to the rooftop jacuzzi. The various museums are just walking distance. The night life on the Chulia street is pretty eccentric too. With little India a few streets down and lots of café's on the Chulia street Overall I think it is a pity that it had to be rated as a 3 star hotel, I think it deserves 4 stars.

Overall the environment is very nice, very nice. Geographical location is also good, Breakfast very rich, staff is very friendly!

Very nice place to stay. In heritage zone, walking distance to famous mural. Night food market, cafe, bar just outside hotel within few minute walk. Have own cover parking space. Provide free breakfast and all day coffee, tea, ice cream. But, those free beer and wine at their sky bar locate at their 5th floor seem like giving fake beer and wine. My free beer and wine taste so worst.

My wife and I loved this hotel! It was probably the best place we stayed on our three-week trip to Malaysia. The rooms are very nice and very clean with good air conditioning. The staff spoke great English, were very helpful, and basically just awesome. The breakfast is buffet style with lots of options. During the day they have free snacks — cookies, crackers, and ice cream! They also have free laundry service. The morning we left, we had to leave very early, so we couldn't have the breakfast buffet but they made up a little breakfast for us to take with us! We also got two free drinks per night on their rooftop bar, which was really great. We loved hanging out up there and looking out over the city. This hotel also has a great location. I recommend renting a scooter/motorbike for the day and go exploring; we had a blast doing that.

Near night market! Suggest to stay on Saturday cuz that day more night market would open. And this hotel is awesome! Free ice cream. Free snack. Free drinks for 24 hours?! Is true! And not bad service. Wi-Fi available and free drinks on bar per person. The room is clean. And restaurant is hygiene! So is a not bad choice for you.

Breakfast was good for a 3 stars hotel. I enjoyed the free dinner party on 16 May upon arrival. This is the 1st time hotel giving me free dinner. Thumbs up.
