Great location with nice rooms. Breakfast is in need of serious improvements though.

1) Friendly and helpful staff. 2) Wonderful breakfast. So many choice of food. 3) Spacious room. 4) Beautiful surrounding. 5) The garden is beautiful. I like the swing very much. 6) So many beautiful corners to snap photos. 7) The beach is quite nice too.

What I love most here is the scenery, the staff all are helpful + friendly, the food. Highly recommended and sure will come again.

We had the best time at the hotel. Very friendly staff. Good variety of food, ordered room service and the food were absolutely delicious. Loads of activities without needing to go out from the hotel. Started at 3d2n stay and extended one more night because we loved it so much. My kid had so much fun at the Kokonut kids club, the staff was very attentive and accomodative. Thumbs up to cik norliza from Kokonut club for her great service.

The worst sahur food expirence ever in our life. Even my 2 kid not eat the food. Tasteless and can get a spicy taste only from the dish. Served a rubbery croissant to your guest? what a pathetic service.

We've been here quite a number of times and it's a Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, nice and tasty food, very nice swimming pools, 1 for adult people and young people who can swim and a children's pool. Very nice restaurant, tasty food, nice big and clean rooms with tea and coffee facilities etc etc.

I've been here yesterday for a very wonderful romantic candle light dinner for my 2nd wedding anniversary. Such a very good experience n memorable moments tht create in this place… thnks for the special services from restaurant's waiter, mr. Sham (if not mistaken) for the plan to give suprise for my wife… tq very much.

From arriving to check out, everything was great. Short stay feel relaxing and enjoying. Lobby lounge is space with big sofa, resting at afternoon or night with was prefect. 2 swimming pool and the surrounding area very charming and great ambient. The water park make kids more enjoyable. Overall this resort is good to visit.

After reading reviews on the hotel we decided it would be an ideal holiday destination for us on the plus side the rooms we booked a deluxe room (which was supposed to have views of the coastline) are comfortable clean and spacious the staff pleasant and helpful but, we have been allocated a room that overlooks the childrens pool and play area and with what looks like generators and above what must be a food preparation area whose smells permeate our room area so we cannot sit on the balcony due to the noise from the play area (as two adults we want peace and quiet and to be able to relax which is impossible we understand it is a child friendly hotel but some thought should have went into the placement of two adults travelling without children) and smells from the food preparation area Breakfast this morning was awful having to queue to get a seat then having to deal with overcooked food large queues at the stations and not enough room for the guests to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Breakfast was left unfinished and with us both being hugely disappointed in the food standards We were under the impression that the there was 2 pool areas 1 for children 1 for adults but that is not the case so you are unable to relax at the pool area due to the amount of children in the main pool.

Really love this hotel. Awesome services, warm staff, location, cleanliness and facilities. The breakfast also superb. And thanks for the free upgrade room. I'd love to come back to this place if I go back to Penang. Very recommended.

A very beautiful resort with great scenes out of the balcony. Enjoying the sea breeze at the balcony was such a relaxing way to spend ur night. The breakfast here can definitely fulfill your desire for variety. Definitely recommend it.

Great pool view and nice ambient at lobby. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Especially superb is they open up their breakfast restaurant for early checkout of tour groups.

Recently refurbished, clean comfortable rooms with safe large enough for 15" laptop! Nice bar and lounge area with board games for kids and adults alike. Two nice swimming pools with plants and shade, and a long slide/chute. Plenty of loungers divided up in groups with plenty of towels available. Free parking for guests. 30 second walk to the beach. Sand is a bit sharp (but the hotel doesn't control nature. :) ) Could do with extra towel rails in the bathroom.

We have been coming here for 25 years every year, seen many changes and would never change hotels. We love the staff and they make us feel so special especially when greeting us on our return. It is our pleasure to come and see them. We have a terrific relationship with the Pool crew whom one of them we have known for all these years. Concierge too we have known for so long. Tonight 29/7/18 we have had a beautiful buffet in the new Cinnamon restaurant… staff on duty just gorgeous. Everyone is 5 star material. K and K Jones Perth WA.

It’s my first time staying in this hotel and I had enjoyed very much here. The hotel was said to have just finish the renovation hence everything looks really nice and new. Despite the tropical feel with open air concept there’s luxury touch to everything. Room was clean and comfy. Facilities are all good. Children game room was a plus point for family with children like me. However, the foosball in the children room is dangerous as the rods have lost the protective cover which could be hazardous as it is sharp. Breakfast was good and staff replenish it promptly which is important.

This hotel is great. Superb ambience. Excellent food in the hotel and nearby down the road. The rooms, with a balcony and a sea view are really comfortable and you can hear the sea at night. The bar area is massive yet comfortable and the decor truly restful. The pool, surrounded by palm trees, is really relaxing. The beach, though small and steep, is sandy and we enjoyed bobbing around in the sea — until we saw the beware jellyfish sign. Plenty of opportuntiy for water sports, including jet skiing and paragliding. We are already planning our next trip!

One of the best hotels I stayed so far. Was one of the cheaper options in the area. Plenty of food options nearby, rooms freshly renovated and quite spacious Pool area and lounge is quite nice with board games you can borrow.

Location, views and options are great. However I wasn't completely satisfied with the customer service which could be a lot better. Breakfast buffet had great selection however quality of food wasn't that great. The price of the rooms were cheap and competitive on "Agoda" for a 5 Star resort compared to its surrounding 5 star resorts. In general this hotel has great deals online however you won't get a 5 star service here.

Lovely lush settings. Amazing pool surrounded by greenery. Tall ceilings in public areas provide grand tropical spaces. Huge room with equally large bed, all recently refurbished to high spec. Beautifully designed bathroom with spa feel. Overall, it had a better feel than the other two grand hotels in the vicinity which felt a bit tired. Friendly and helpful staff. Only let downs were the food (the buffet was a bit hit and miss, some ok but some like chilli crab was off) and drinks (Argentinean house red and white were as revolting as the band playing).

A nice place to relax. Have pools massage and daycare to keep kids entertained while adults relax. Service and food are good.

Was at Cinnamon Restaurant at Park Royal for the Lunch Buffet. The service was excellent with a smile from the guard as well as each staff that greeted us. There was a wide range of dishes to choose from and they were good. We could not eat every dish but enjoyed what we chose. The surroundings were well kept and the landscaping fantastic. Makes us want to come back again … congratulations!

Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would like to thank your breakfast staff in particular. We left for the airport at 4.45 am and sure enough express breakfast was ready for us including the olives my son requested. It was much appreciated.

Nice locale. White sand beach. Renovated in 2013. Rooms are nice. Lobby is open and inviting. Afternoon high tea. Pool clean and heated. Grounds well maintained. Buffet for breakfast had large variety and greeting staff very friendly. Our cleaning lady was awesome. But stop right outside building and market at night was all down the street with lots to see or buy. Close to a number of restaurants and food vendors. My wife said she felt totally comfortable being out by herself.

Overall was just nice. Unfortunately, the hotel is under construction, only 1 lift to cater all customers. Huhu. The tile floor I guess need to do some refurbish to look better. The water pressure a bit slow at the toilet bowl.

Spacious room with new modern interior. Great place for relax, to everyone even family with small kids, as it has kids play room and swimming pool with slides. Ice machine is also provided at every room floor, with complimentary. I love everything about this place.

Staff welcoming and friendly making a positive holiday experience. Concierge knowledgeable, informative and friendly. Breakfast could do with some tweeks. Buffet presentation leads to food being Luke warm/cold. Choice excellent and environment nice. Note refurbishment works are on going at time of visit. But disruption kept to a minimum.

Amazing rooms very modern and clean. Nice balconies facing the water. The pools were really nice they just need to write the varying depths on the borders. It's gets deep! The hotel looks dated from the outside but the inside lobby and grounds are the latest designs.

The external view of the hotel asnt great. But as soon as you arrive at the lobby the place looks very inviting and good. I believe it has been recently refurbished. The pool is very well kept, there's a big pool for adults and a separate one for kids. There's 2 water slides. Beware of the yellow one as it is very fast. Great for families. Breakfast was average, spread was not that big, taste was acceptable. Overall good value for money.

This is a review for the restaurant in the hotel for dinner. My family wanted our last night together to be a nice sit down style setting and after a long day of traveling we were too tired to really search for a restaurant so we defaulted to here near our hotel. There is a great variety of food selections and the whole restaurant was totally empty so everyone totally catered to us which was super nice. They have an all you can drink option with dinner but we didn’t opt for that. The food was very good since it was buffet it had a ton of variety. Ranged from fresh prawns and salads to cooked in front of you skewered chicken and seafoods. Local style foods as well and lots of dessert options. I liked the ice cream most so I loaded up on that :-p.

Staying at the hotel at this moment, I find work! So impossible to enjoy the sound of birds and waves to rest! It's a sad pity! and seen on a tennis court! Too bad but overall it is a very nice hotel and staff at the top!

Very nice hotel in a nice location. Huge beds and probably the most decent infant cots we've come across through our travels — solid wooden cots rather than the usual travel/camp cots. Good food at the breakfast buffet. Very easy to take public transport, even when travelling with an infant and stroller. Loads of nearby restaurants and a short walk to the night market.

I've been coming here at least once a year for the past few years. Recently, it completed a modern renovation, transforming it into simple clean look and yet elegant. The best features that I like includes its location, unique garden and breakfasts.

Very nice room. Comfortable and cozy. Bathroom well cleaned. Environment was also nice and very close to the beach, making it easy to access the beach.

The hotel is nice, the location is good. The food choice is limited but there are plenty of restaurants on the main strip. When we arrived we got a room that clearly someone had smoked in but they quickly changed it for us. The service in the restaurant is poor. Often they look understaffed too. It has been an average stay.

Your concierge seriously need some proper pr training. They hanged up on me before any of us could have the proper last word. What kind of pr is that? It is not a proper way to fully represent yourself to the public. It is shambolic.

Completely renovated hotel with large rooms and modern bathrooms.
The facilities range from large flat screen, kettle, ironing board, safe to very good air conditioning and much more.
There are also two pools with two slides, outdoor bar and restaurant, a spa, outdoor massage hut, direct access to the beach. And these are just a few things.
The hotel is very friendly, helpful and straightforward. Would immediately book this hotel again and have even extended our stay.

Nice room. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Down side is that we had to undergo constant power failures. Room had no power, lift was not working and a couple had got stuck in the lift for nearly 15 minutes. Staff were very evasive about the power failures and were very unprofessional in the way they handled the issue. We are truly shocked that a hotel calling itself 5 star doesn't have a working standby generators to supply power in emergencies.

Resort of Smiles. Warm and friendly team makes a good holiday, a great memory. The resort is just about to complete their renovation, and I wish I could stay a little longer just to see everything come together. So far it's a notch above the rest of the hotels on the beach front. Thanks for a great stay.

Lovely staff, rooms are nice and clean while the pool area is lovely. There was a bit of work going on in the lobby during our stay but it didn't interrupt our relaxing holiday at all. Really nice relaxing resort with everything you could want and great value. Having the night market on the door step is a bonus as well.

Great hotel and staff located right by the beach. Get a sea facing room if budget allows. Fantastic pools and very good quality breakfast. We visited during renovations unfortunately so the Javana lounge was closed. No bars open late, not sure if this usual.

It is the best resort in Penang. I loved it. The staff cared for me as if I was a member of their family or their best friend. I would recommend each and everyone in the whole wide universe to come and stay in this resort. Hope to stay over here the next time I come to Penang. I truly miss the staff.

This is my third time in park royal but it's keep decreasing! The staff mostly need to develop to be more professional. At the beach the hotel service office is the the side and there is an outside office just beside the stairs! and they are expensive most of the people think they are belong to the hotel? The breakfast buffet need to develop and the workers to take care of their clothe clean. My room was beside a parking area and every night at 12:30 there is a motorcycle running it's annoying and keep me up.

Best hotel I'v ever seen. Very Beautiful outdoor area. Very Good Location on the see side and near the markets. So so nice and friendly staff who are loyal to the hotel. Clean and tidy rooms. Very Good breakfast. An amazing water park inside the hotel that can be used for free. Well equipped shower rooms which are available even after checkout. A lot of facilities around. Live music every night in the hotel. Billiard and other entertainments inside the hotel. Good shops inside the hotel with reasonable prices. Super nice swimming pool. Massage House. Two good bars. Very good restaurant. Hospitality award wining in 2012, 2014 and 2015 A lot of other good things that I've forgotten.

Perfunctory service and poor standard of cleaning but the room views are nice. They get one star for their post stay marketing — after five attempts to unsubscribe the group continue to bombard me with unsolicited email. Warning — do not give them your email address.

It was pleasant to have a trip at Park Royal @ Penang. Only one strange thing: no toothbrush neither toothpaste in the bathroom Maybe it is hotel policy or so. Furtunately that I have brought mine. Everything else is ok. The weather is not ideal compared to our resorts in Vietnam. There was lots of moustiques. Maybe it is typical when you are in a tropical country. Anyway, 1h at the garden cost me 5 piques. So if you are western, be aware of that. The food is served with a big varieties. However, it is still having malaysian taste (alot of spices). Maybe the kitchen needs to conserve the original taste. And separate them with typical specialities. So it will leave the customer their choice. In overall, it is fine and agreable to be here at Park Royal Penang.

FYI: from the airport is about an 1 hr taxi ride to go 30 km. Expect to pay 75 RM. Compared to other luxury resorts, this resort feels lacking. Generally, the service is nice and pleasant, but they do not have a sense of extra effort. During check-in, we were seated in their lounge area while the staff processed our reservation, and given a complimentary drink. This was good. Once in the room, our bags had not arrived and we waited for another 30 min till we returned to the lobby to find our luggage still resting on the trolley. This was not good. Days at the pool, we were not visited by the eatery staff. Basically, you need to leave your chair and locate a server, place your order, and tell them where you are sitting. This is also common with the towel service, you'll find a lot of chairs occupied with used towels. You need to return the used towels your self as there's an account of the number towels checked-out. It is posted that there is a 50RM charge per non-returned towel (though, I think this is not strict hotel policy). Nonetheless, used towels are left on chairs without any guests to return them or staff to gather them. At luxury resort, there should a periodic walk through from either eatery staff or towel staff. Positives: the lifeguard staff is strict about pool policy (safe for everyone). Poolside food is good: kids love the spaghetti with meat sauce and chicken nuggets. Though, the pizza is bit unusual being overly cheesy.

Im staying here now. I just arrived. I got the family room but I thing this is not worthed w/ the price. The floor is dusty n dirty like they didn't clean it … I got about 400us a nite for this room its very expensive but I dont have any choice because all the hotel in this area already fully booked … And the amenities in the toilet is not compelete they dont give the toothbrush kit … And the ac is very noisy … and also the furniture I think its already old … Overall its quite good but not for 400 us … If 150usd its just fine I think …

Good clean nice rooms, everything works, close to beach, nice restaurants, nice kids pool slides, fantastic kids activity room, nice kids cot bed, nice kids bathing tub, non smoking, high floor, nice breakfast, nice buffet grill dinner, complimentary good strong Wi-Fi in rooms and around the hotel, everything you can ask for a family vacation! The kids are happy == everyone is happy.

We stayed at this fabulous hotel for 7 wonderful nights at the end May early June with another couple… Fantastic staff. … very helpful and friendly. … couldn't be more helpful if they tried… your staff are a credit to your hotel. As for the breakfast buffet… first class choices for breakfast. Lots of variety and delicious local fruits on offer. If you want lots of tables to choose from go early breakfast started at 6.00am — 10.00am. Rooms are spacious and lovely… lovely pool. Spent lots of time in there… and great bar staff with wonderful bar service… and a couple of places inside the hotel to eat I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a great place to stay… would book this hotel again when we come back without a doubt. …

Far away from 5-star-rating. Recreation Leisure? Live disco music, above the acceptable level of noise, until well after midnight. Breakfast and dining options the price not always appropriately.
