I don't have much expectations about this resort so from the moment I arrived I was glad I didn't. The sea view is beautiful but the resort is not! My room was dirty, the towels were dirty, the bedsheets were stained. Disgusting! Everywhere around this hotel was dirty. The swimming pool looked like they had never been cleaned. Its was disgusting. The service was sad and crap. The workers looked like there are overworked and tired. So I don't think they care about customer service. The food was okay but never go for the bbq option as you will end up with a plate of cold bbq like it was yesterday leftovers. I dont usually like to give reviews but in this case I have to say something. This resort is disgusting! ☺️ With a heavy heart, my overall rate for this resort is disgusting, dirty horrible, uncomfortable and not value for money. Thankfully the view is nice.

Nice view. Kids love to play at the beach. The sand is clean. The hammock was nice.

The location was convenient & safe. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Everything good. Especially they will give voucher to use when you having food at they restaurant, basically no need to use any money 😂

Great snorkeling experience, food is nice but pricey. Overall stay could be better without the electricity trip every few hours. Cleanliness of the whole resort can be improved.

Convenient. If u wanna learn diving. Is just next to the resort. U able to learn diving at the pool before going into the sea. able to watch movies, cartoons and comedies with hardisk. And many more activities available. Very clean beach… and a wide place to play.

Everything is nice, except for the internet connection being down during our stay. Beach shore has white sand and seawater is very clean. Resort has own restaurant, tasty food. During monsoon season, not much activities available as waves are too aggressive. Staff very accommodating, especially the drivers.

We had a wonderful time in Barat. Beautiful place, nice ambience n friendly staffs u have here. We even managed to do our morning run here. Will definitely comeback. The only problem here ws internet data but we’re ok. Just chill and relax and being lazy here.

Fairly new resort. The food offered at the restaurant are at reasonable price. Some are cheaper than restaurants in Kampung Juara.

The restaurant waiters and manager was very friendly, helpful, great services & delicious food. Wi-Fi service is bad beaches are gorgeous. Habib the team waiter is very friendly efficient quick and his crew are the best services.

Weak Wi-Fi, having roaming data also not able to use. TV can’t be watch at all if I don rent anything. But food is really nice, beach is beautiful too.

3) All the staff (front deck, room make-up service, maintenance service and restaurant’s waiter) are very friendly and politely… especially the 2 captains from the restaurant, James Tan and the other one which came from Pakistan (sorry can’t remember his name), their service are very good, each time we went there for “makan” they will recommend the Yummy and Nice food or dishes to us…

I enjoyed staying at The Barat, Tioman. Took the 4D3N snorkelling package with my family and was really satisfied with the experience. The beach was clean with soft sand, clear water, and no rocks at the bottom. The food was yummy!

The best resort in Juara with own dive center, cafe, bistro, and swimming pool. Plenty of beach chair in front of the resort. Room new and clean. But of course you will need to pay more for it. Lowest room rate is RM200+.

It was my first trip to The Barat Tioman Resort due to recommendations by friends, I brought my 4 students diver for a 4D3N stays while they were doing their final Open Water for certification. In first expressions, the resort looks great and classy, room and facilities were great (you get what you pating for) however they need to improve the services such as one and only house restaurant cannot cope with the numbers of pax during lunch and dinner peak hours. We spent waited more than 1 hour for some simple foods or the staffs just told in advance that you have to wait due to long queue of food orders. To our surprise, the restaurant wasn't fully occupied yet slow services. From the second day onwards, we just dine in other places un walking distance as we have limited time to catch up with our scuba certifications. In terms of room services, none of the house keeping turned up to clean the room but they just left some drinking bottles in the room. Again we were puzzled?!?! Dear management, we wish you could look into this matter asap as we love to revisit your resort again in future. Thank you.

The accommodation and experience of staying in The Barat is good, I have been here for the 2nd time few days ago and also one year ago's today. Price is reasonable and staffs are helpful. Foods okay, facility's ok, pool's clean, of course the beach is wonderful too. Except the Wi-Fi always unusable and they do not improve a single bit after a year after my first visit (this is important because all mobile telcos there basically not usable at that area. ) I hope they could really consider to provide a stable Wi-Fi.

Took the 4D3N snorkeling package and was very satisfied! Clean room, good food that serves both western and asian cuisine (both are equally yummy), friendly staffs, and great snorkeling experience. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and so are the snorkeling spots that they took us. Our airconditioner was not cold and they fixed it right away. Only downside is the Wi-Fi is not that strong which is totally reasonable considering the location of the hotel. Overall, my family and I had a great time here.

Decent resort, located in a beautiful small village, it was nice to take evening walks around the area, friendly staffs, special mention to Habib the F&B captain and waiter Roshan. We booked the villa on the hill, found many lizard droppings behind the curtains and in the toilet, jacuzzi was not clean as well. No room service through out our stay. Too many construction materials were stored under the villas and along the way to our villa. We felt the transfer between jetty to resort (RM 60 both ways) a little expensive, on our way back to the jetty after check out, we had to sit at the back of a pickup truck along with the bags of other passengers and it felt like a roller coaster ride without any safety seat belts because the driver was speeding. The resort management should consider half refund or something in events like this next time because I felt it was unfair for us who paid the same amount as the rest who sat comfortably inside the vehicle with AC. The journey took about 30 minutes. Due to the driver's speeding attitude, we were worried about our safety.

We stayed for 3 nights in Barat Resort and we couldn't be happier with this resort!
Starting with the bedrooms that were not only very comfortable but also really clean. They provide you 2 bottles of water everyday and the entrance you get to have a welcome drink. Talking about drinks, you CAN'T MISS their signature drink, the mango smoothie! Is just incredible! Actually all their food is amazing! Go for the local dish, the Kampung Fried Rice, that is the best in the island! Even though the prices are more expensive in the big island, this resort charges the same prices as the local restaurants. You will always be eating at the beach front, so the location is also pretty good. To finish, I can't say also only good things about the staff, they were super nice to us the all stay and always willing to help. Total recommend this place if you are visiting Perhentian Islands.

We Love this place Barat Tioman. We are here for the beach, sand, the beautiful new resort and the peoples that work there and serve us food and Diving experiences on the Eastern side of the island. The road trip to Barat is an amazing experience and the motorbike experience we rented also have a story to tell. With diver Instructor, Woon and restaurant Captain Habib to serve us in the resort is simply a wonderful and relaxed experience. Would love to come over and stay for more days in Barat Resort. Thumb up and keep up the good works. Hope to see more upgrading works to attract more satisfied customer like us who appreciate.

Nice hotel in Tioman. It's on the other side of the island, the beach is very nice but not as many fish (as the western side). Rooms are modern and very clean. Staff is lovely. The infrastructure is poorly built unfortunately, so I recommend going while it's new. Once it degrades it will be bad. The price is ok by Malaysia standard but expensive for Tioman (activities, food, especially the fresh juices) — but the staff is wonderful and the service is very good.

Not a bad looking resort with nice views and good facilities but they don't keep the area or the beach clean. Lots of cigarette buts in the sand, I never saw anyone cleaning the beach. This is a turtle nesting beach they should be responsible for keeping the beach and resort area clean.

We loved The Barat on Tioman. The Juara side of Tioman island (the best side in my opinion) has mostly small, quiet bungalow/chalet type accommodation. This is a newly built resort that is much larger than others on Juara — and it has a pool! It's the perfect stay for families and bigger groups, as well as couples that enjoy the resort style facilities more than your basic bungalow style accommodation. The restaurant is good, particularly the Thai style dishes. We ate here many nights and enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant overlooks the beach and offers beer & cocktails (most places only sell beer). On Fridays to Sundays evenings, they do live music. Amy, the musician is extremely talented — it's nice to sip on a cocktail with live music, oceanside. The music is turned off by 11, so if you have any concern about it disrupting sleep or turtle nesting, don't worry. Now to the staff — special shout out to Juvy, Habib, Jane and Steve and the manager Sam. They always went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after during our stay & we miss them! We were always welcomed with a warm smile and cheerful, genuine conversation about the happenings of our day. If you are looking for resort style facilities and some soothing evening ambiance, then this is your best option. Juara is very quiet with little to no night life; this is part of this side of the island's charm. Enjoy!

Very nice location, nice rooms, pool nice. Restaurant average. Musical ambience in the evening ending around 23: 00… Noisy if you are next to or near groups generator as everywhere.

We've booked in march and at this time the comments were rather negative convernant the barat tioman. It is said that c is the tzmos that everything is put in place. And indeed. We stayed 5 days on-site to take advantage of the framework. It was the paradise! I highly recommend it. Between the pool, the beach, the activities and the restaurant is open c is ideal for families. Ps we had even forgotten a golden ring in the safety deposit box of the room. The Barat Tioman, we returned in a week! Ca deserves to be emphasized! THANK you.
