The best service, tranquility and fun. I used to work there and took a small boat and ride out to bring back the sail that had gone over the Thailand and everyone was so worried. I came back safe.

Though the Andaman considerably as one of the earlier and luxurious hotel in Langkawi, never lost her charms. What I like it, is eco-friendly ethos, its serene atmosphere with impeccable service, surrounded lush with tropical vegetation, and having such a long sandy beach giving and extra marks plus located at secluded bay namely as Datai. I'm sure will make another visit again.

Our best beach holiday ever. Exemplary service. Divine views. Awesome food. And super friendly and efficient staff. I would rate them five plus stars on how thoughtfully they run this resort. There is everything you would will ever need — whether you are a couple on a romantic getaway or a family with hyper energetic kids! Spectacular in every way. Only, wish there were a total ban on plastic at the property. Especially plastic water bottles.

I wasn’t sure about visiting Langkawi. I come from the Caribbean and so I am used to beautiful beaches. I highly recommend the Andaman… the setting is beautiful and the water at the beach is warm and absolutely enjoyable. I’m so happy I decided on staying here!

If ure malaysian, prepared not to be entertained as much as the foreign guest during your visit to any of their restaurant. On the other hand, the hotel provide good activities for children and nice beach.

A beautiful resort. Although our room was not ready as the previous guests had not left and we had to accept a different option. Very isolated… you need to take a taxi to go anywhere off resort. No onsite convenience store options for small snacks or essentials so quite costly. I became so uncomfortable with EVERY staff person smiling and greeting me each time we passed on the resort that I began looking to the floor to avoid eye contact… after all, sometimes you just want to be alone in this beautiful space. Lots of wildlife… lizards, monkeys, squirrels, sea otters…

One of the most beautiful scenic views by the beach. Service is great and I applaud the men & women who make it work. Completely downhill from there though. Room is not sound proof, not even close. U can have a conversation with anyone outside or next door. The upkeep is good but the entire property is at least 10 years over its intended lifespan. The entire hotel needs to be redone. Depressing rooms, low quality ingredients in the restaurants and even the staff’s equipment is from the 80s. A loud diesel leaf blower! Haven’t seen one of those since the 90s. With all the other top hotels in the world at similar prices, why would I come back here?

There are 2 places I want to go back to and one of them is The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort, Langkawi. We rested with my family, the 2nd children were 7 years and 5 months old. A magical place in the rainforest. The service is at a good level, the staff are friendly and ready to always help. The room has everything you need. The only thing that could be added is some kind of device for drying things. Because of the humid climate, swimsuits and washed things dried up for several days. Breakfasts are rich in variety. Lots of fruit, juices. The property has very good restaurants. The restaurant of Malaysian cuisine is especially memorable. We've been there more than once. Located on a beach overlooking the sea. And everything is so delicious! And what desserts! Still slushy. The grounds are large. You can go on tours of flora and fauna on site for free. It was very interesting. After the tour, many animals began to be noticed. The flying lemur impressed me. The beach is big. There are always free sunbeds. The only negative is when the tide is very difficult to enter the sea because of the corals. We need special shoes. And there are often waves. You don't buy much with a small child. On Langkavi it is better to rent a car or moped/motorcycle (if you are 2). For a few trips you can go around the whole island and see all the local attractions.

Absolutely love this resort. The staff are wonderful and we were treated like royalties! A bit out of the hubbub of Langkawi but that is the way we like it… Quiet and peaceful. However you may need a car to visit neighbouring places as cabs/grab are reluctant to pick up and can be quite expensive if called via hotel.

Nice and chill place… All the Staff where very friendly. Have a very pleasant stay here… Price is on higher side though… but service in general is really not bad… I should say (8 1/2) out of (10) stars :)

This is a one of a kind hotel, far away from the buzz of the cities between rainforests and a wonderful beach. Got an unexpected upgrade to a sea view room and a back massage upon arrival. Staff is friendly and accommodating. An exceptional experience!

Genuinely one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at. The beach is fantastic and very quite, the hotel itself is set in to a 1 gen rain forest and has wildlife roaming around the ground (I would highly recommend the nature walk) if I was to nitpick at anything I would the rooms are starting to look a bit worn in places and probably need a refurbishment in the next year or so, however non of this matters as the service from the all the staff is exceptional. I couldn't recommend the Anderman highly enough. I will 100% be back again.

Words cannot describe the care we were shown by the hotel staff. From the room service, pool side to the incredible food, this has to be the most amazing hotel I have ever been to in Malaysia (and I've been here 2 times already). We will definitely be coming back …

Andaman was definitely a cherry on top of our tropical holiday. Internal programs like nature walk, coral nursery and snorkeling kept us entertained as well as buffet dinner by the beach and breakfast at the balcony. We wished that we stayed longer as we would have tried cayaking, mangrove tour (more reasonably priced than the actual tour at Geopark), free shuttles to town. The taxi service to airport after our checkout made the transfer easier.

Great place to chill, wonderful natural surroundings of ancient tropical forest and pristine beach (comes with a fringing reef too). Great breakfast spread until 11am.

Compared with the price and the five-star standard, this hotel is not very competent. We stayed here for three nights. The hotel's facilities are old and we have a room with a door that will squeak every time it switches. During the stay, an elevator near the room has been bad. Waiter every day, notice is every day, will come to check whether the use of small freezer, very disturbed rest, the hotel has only a public swimming pool, at night eight o'clock closed. The hotel offers a jungle walk just around the hotel.
It really makes people have no words. The better place is the hotel has a private beach, sand than Jane South Beach a lot of fine. The service is good, the waiter will help to carry the luggage by car. The food in the main restaurant tastes good!

Our second time at the resort and it never disappoints. From collection at the airport, to the friendly front of house welcome and the amazing views — this is one of the best island getaways. The service is excellent, food options are plenty and you’ll never get bored of the view. Go swimming and kayaking around the island close by and follow it up with snorkelling to see the coral.

A real gem of a hotel with a stunning beach and a great swimming pool. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. A great place to go with the family. As it’s a little far out it’ll be best if you rent a car to explore the rest of the island.

It is luxurious it is far in the depth of langkawi island far from the chenang area (busy street with restaurants and shops) pool is not the best it is built on the idea of wild live resort so if you like reptiles insect and small animals you will enjoy your stay the beach front is amazing simply stunning but you can't see sunset because of the mountains.

Breakfast fantastic. Staff very friendly & courteous. Very close to nature. Beach is very well maintained, clean and the water is very clear. The only downside is there is no brown sugar at breakfast but everything else provided is perfect.

On of the best resorts I've ever been to. The location is fantastic with surely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We've stayed in our of their pool suites, which I can really recommend. All in all must visit location while on Langkawi if only for lunch.

We had a lovely relaxing time at the resort that is set in the midst of a primary forest reserve. The place buzzes with the sounds of birds and crickets and the sight of monkeys, monitor lizards and free-flying hornbills. The rooms were nice and large and kept fresh and clean. The staff, at all levels, were warm and friendly, which made our stay very enjoyable. I'd recommend the place to anyone seeking a relaxing time away from the bustle of city life.

Beautiful scenic luxury resort with peaceful isolated place from busy cities. The sunset is wonderful and morning sunrise jog is priceless. Hotel is a little old and classic but internet connectivity is great.

Awful location — minimum 1 hour drive to anything! Dirty, lizards everywhere, even the in rooms. Ants, spiders, bugs and the list goes on! Service decent, but not great — not what you expect from a 'Luxury Resort' Would not recommend anyone to stay here!

The Andaman managed to offer one of the most beautiful experience in my life. Datay Bay is astounding: it has a beautiful coral reef, pristine coral sand beach and I love that everything is so close to nature. I was amazed by the variety of life the lush jungle has shown me every day. I think the hotel staff made the stay even better being so friendly, helpful and informative. Again this is one of the best places i've ever been and it was absolutely wonderful.

It was my luck that I discovered this hotel on internet booking website. The hotel (actually it is a resort) is a heaven for those who are looking for relaxation and want to run a way from the modern world pressures. There is a jungle of 200 thousands year old, and the hotel is in the middle of that rain forest. The beach is unique and can not find similar one. The team is nice and the atmosphere is like you are there away from the whole world. Only one word can describe the feelings… Fantastic.

This hotel was amazing as when I arrived the staff upgraded my room to the president suite and it was massive. Everything from a jacuzzi to a gym was there and the room has a lovely view of the beach. The restaraunt had a great menu full of different food and the food was. The beach also had an amazing bar where I relaxed and had snacks. This is easily one of the best rooms I stayed in.

Simply: The Andaman is a work of art, combining forest with sea, very very friendly staff. You can find rare species of animals and insects within the hotel's premises, a true exotic experience.

Staying here for last 2 days. Excellent property. Totally into nature. Quite n peaceful. Excellent service n hospitality. The most friendliest staffs, serving with a beautiful smile. The room is beautiful. Big clean toilet. Excellent pool beside the Pvt beach. The food is also good n cheap compared to its quality. Overall an excellent experience.

Stayed here on our honeymoon. From the moment you walk in the reception the the staff make you feel very comfortable and nothing seems to much of an issue including a rushed trip to the hospital at 1am. Meals delicious and beach side cocktails are a must. Fantastic beach to sit and relax. Very close to The Els Club for keen golfers. Will definitely be back.

It was amazing. Everything is perfect my husband and I really enjoy every moment the room was always clean and comfortable. The beach is WoooooooW. The breakfast was delicious and we found many options for food. AlsoThey have very high customer service. Thank you so much Andaman we hope to come soon again. Leena.

The suite was comfortable and spacious and monkey DID barged into the room to steal food within minutes when we left the door opened. We enjoyed the forest walk programme and the coral nursery a lot and would encourage everyone to try it. The restaurant facing the sea have excellent food too. Staff knowledge can be improved as the staff generally either not aware of the restaurant operating time or gave wrong information.

The stay was awesome throughout the short 3 days 2 nights I was with them. I was welcomed with warm greetings, and a loud gong alerting the reception hence they're ready to welcome me by the time I walk there. Very specialized service, they're always so ready to serve you better. Big shout out to concierge John, Alvin and also Tanjuzzaman for making my stay a remarkable one. And also Ms. Kristine from the front desk for her awesome hospitality. If you're looking for a place to relax but with good view, this is the place to go guys. Will definitely come back someday!

Loved this. A paradise in the middle of a rainforest where there's an active coral conservation. I saw flying lemur going from tree to tree and many other creatures of the rainforest. And best of all. No mosquitoes!

Amazing hotel the only problem it's far from the shops and they provide one time bus at 11 if you didn't book you are fd you can see the wild life of the raining forests around you just wow.

I used to love the andaman but not this visit. I tried to close the balcony door and the whole door came off! If it wasn't for my quick reaction it would have landed on my daughters head! Also I am on the 3rd floor so it could have gone over! Maintainance fixed it in 5mins! Surely there's a reason why it came off! I was told this room was recently refurbished! Didn't look it. Ants everywhere! In my baby's dummy! Loud music until 1am! Seems like service has gone down hill.

Andaman bay is spectacular with powder white coral sand and azure waters. Unfortunately despite being only yards from the beach you can't see this spectacular site from, I would estimate, 75% of the rooms. The official hotel photos show the hotel taken from the vantage point of the sea and there seems to be a clear line of site from most of the rooms to the beach. In reality, the mangrove trees have grown out of control in front of most of the hotel rendering all but the last few rooms on the north wing obscured by vegetation. We stayed in an exec pool suite at the far end of the North wing in room 145 (apparently this is the most requested room in the hotel) Of all the pool suites it is 1 of only 2 that you can actually see the beach from, and the ONLY one with unobscured views. The other one, 147 Has a large mangrove in front of the living room end of the suite, so it only has partial views. I agree with other comments about bathroom cleanliness. Although not dirty per se, the suite has a free standing bath that appears to be made from white corian or similar. Ours needed a good scrub with abrasive cleaner. It had a patchy brownish discolouration which I suspect was caused by people bathing in it wearing fake tan products or similar. Having a corian bench in my kitchen at home I know it stains quite easily, and to keep it looking pristine, you need to keep on top of it with a vigorous cleaning regime.

The staff were rude and very slow. The food was vile, pancake were not pancakes, they were rubbery and the eggs… were basically just water. Rooms were not nicely designed and very plain and I thought we were getting a garden view room, but it was basically just a chair and some fake grass with a fence. We paid £600 for new years dinner and it was quite boring.

Came here for the major part of my honeymoon. There were some aspects of the hotel rooms which could have done with a little bit of refurbishment, but in general it was the most amazing place ever. The staff were very helpful, informed and friendly. The food was served generously and was of excellent quality. The beach and the amazing rain forest surrounding the resort were second to none, even despite the sea jellies which brought swimming in the sea out of the question.

Stayed here in October 2014. Like paradise on earth. The sea, the sand, the food, the air, the weather, the pool, the feel, the jungle, the animals, the staff, the room, all amazing. Definitely somewhere I want to come back and visit.

Fantastic Stay at a Fantastic Resort The staff were fantastic, happy to help with anything we required. Our room was newly refurbished with great views of the ocean. It was clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was large, with a good sized shower and bath (that we never used). The amenities were good and replenished daily. Everyone mentions the wildlife at the resort, and with good reason. Having monkeys, squirrels, monitor lizards, and flying lemurs sharing your pool/beach time is magical. Just remember to keep your balcony door locked, lest you get an up close and personal visit from a hungry monkey.

Good hotel with best beach in the island. You are getting exactly what you are expecting to get for money which you are paying.

After two days of arrival at Kuala Lumpur, we stayed at The Andaman. The tranquil surroundings couldn't have contrasted more with KL. Even while renovating the south wing. Employers are all really helpful and friendly and being surrounded by the rainforest and the ocean is a great experience: falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the surf and the birds, crickets and monkeys. We went on the offered nature walks around the hotel (really recommended, especially at night). It lies a bit secluded, so we rented a car to be able to explore the island more easily, and I would recommend that too, although you could easily entertain yourself at the resort. The beach is perfect: sandy, slow decline and surrounded by the greens of the forest.

Beautiful hotel with one major flaw; food was pretty bad. If you're vegetarian stay away, and if you enjoy flavoursome food, you won't find it here. Other than that its a stunning hotel, maybe a little too secluded for my liking though.

A bit far from town. Road to hotel quite narrow but still a nice hotel with great view.
