The Villla we stayed in was really awesome. Great service from the bellbo. Convierge Amirul n Team… customer reception desk. Restaurants. Chefs. En Salim &Team… many more names… The Welcome massage was so relaxing… kitchen staff were helpful with late nite orders… Cant thank all enough. The Breakfast spreas was really nice n the hot fresh croissants were really a killer… u must nit miss that… A great place to stay.

They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 11am. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there. I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check — in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to all!

I highly recommend this place because me and my wife was warmly welcome by the front desk named Syazwan (on duty personnel. They professional guide us throughout the 1st day upon arrival and gave us a great hospitality. Overall the food, personality and environment is very much superb. I'm planning to come and stay again in such a great hotel as this 😃

Feel welcomed, friendly, responsive and professional staff. The resort super clean, room are spacious with big balcony. Big bathroom with spectacular view. Breakfast menu as per standard Asian and Western style. But the food quality are way above standard. Great I would say, I saw one of the staff checking the temperature on one of the food there to ensure it served warm. This act of attention to details really impressed me 😊 They have complimentary Kids club, which is heaven on earth for moms I believe. And also the kids pool is quite big. Oh, and we saw Hornbills nearby the pool, thrice! Would we come back again? Definitely will!

Definitely will be my first choice if I come to Langkawi… I love the ambience, the calmness, and personally I really love the privacy at the Villa… The food also delicious! Kudos for the Chef! The staff is really friendly and always ready to assist you with anything.

Excellent pool villa, great staff, good food, superb service. Housekeeping twice a day, complimentary kueh and fruits during tea time send over to villa, salvator ferragamo amenities, foc daily minibar, beach just outside the villa and more. The best hotel I have ever been so far.

Nice place & environment. All the staff was good accept during the breakfast, one of the staff was a lil rude when we request for spoon. She banged the spoon on the table when we request for it.

Superb services. One of the best service hotel if not the best. Stayed 3 days 2 night for my wife birthday. Clean and spacious room. Breakfast spread was superb too. They served champagne during breakfast. Now that is a plus point. Will definitely come again. 2 thumbs up.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel lounge, everything was perfect! We were greeted well by friendly staff. The checking in process was smooth; added with welcome drinks and shoulder massage. What more would u asked for?
The family villa was so spacious; overlooking private infinity pool. Everything in the room is well thought out; including Netflix too.
The breakfast offered wide spread of food; local and western. The menus were slightly different everyday; which I like!
Next, u must try the Danna Spa. Awesome therapist! I got many tips on how to stay healthy frm the therapist Fida.
We did not bother to go round Langkawi as there’s so much The Danna can offer during our stay.
Overall, I am rating my stay near perfect 10. If the water drainage at the sink and shower were not slow (pls take note maintenance) then the rating will be perfect 10!

It was a pleasure to stay here. Excellent service from arrival with the welcoming shoulder massage to departure gift from the hotel. Staff is very professional, friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean with modern furniture and with all amenities you may need.
The bed is King-size and very comfortable for sleep. Free Wi-Fi & Netflix works perfectly. The hotel restaurant had a great breakfast served. The staff Ms Dini is very helpful in assisting to accomplished my birthday surprise to my husband, offered a great birthday surprise planner suggestion. I would recommend this hotel for both business or pleasure trips.
I am very keen to come back again next time when I come to Langkawi.

I got a suite. It is expensive. However the view is amazing. Quite hotel to relax and enjoy honeymoon. The staff are really very friendly and helpful. You will never regret your stay in the hotel. I guess. The hotel is wow.

Absolutely world class service! Every single staff was friendly and more than accommodating. The personal free transfer from/to the airport, incredible welcome shoulder massage, beautiful view, tip-top room, and amazing service makes this a perfect experience.

Succinct, clear welcome. Nice touch with the massage. The service is excellent, forward but not intrusive. Extremely child friendly. Clean, well equipped rooms. We had a corner suite with views of the beach on one side and jungle on the other. Breakfast is truly mouth-watering. Booked a mangrove tour via the hotel — well equipped, safe, informative and worth the very small increase in price compared with other tour operators. You don't always get what you pay for… but at The Danna, you certainly do!

The Hotel is the best, the staff are exquisitely well presented and friendly at all times. They all have the same value and mantra it seems, that is, to be of service to the guest. Very well trained staff. The Hotel is thus not only 5 star, but deserves 7 star status. The facilities are above standard and the furnishings are of high standard and craftmanship. The gardens and lawns were a pleasure to behold. Well done!

Impeccable service from arrival to checkout. Staff were polite, helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The hotel manager was thoroughly hospitable and ensured we had a good stay. The premises and rooms were luxurious, with a beautiful colonial-style decor. The infinity pool and poolside were relaxing and satisfying, especially for happy hour. The hotel restaurants were great, good atmosphere and food. Stayed 3 nights and hardly left the hotel, and checked out relaxed and happy.

Located on the southern coast of the island, I liked that it has a private beach although the sand at the water line is a little rough. It's near the cable car and the Seven Wells Waterfall. Price a little steep but makes up for it by excellent service. While swimming at the private beach, the staff brought fruit juice without us even asking for it.

Extremely welcoming and polite! loved being treated to a massage and fresh towel etc when we arrived. Hotel is beautiful and our rooms were superb. Never experienced this before!

Nice place and decent value for money. Pool is a lot of fun and rooms are spacious and well put together. Staff are friendly. Downsides are that the beach is not very good, views from rooms are pretty lacking (in fact some views are mainly of a car park and road) and dining options are pretty boring — — the restaurants being a bit sterile. Also restaurant service at dinner very inflexible and slightly brusque sometimes; mostly seemingly through trying to be overly formal (the same servers are much nicer and more effective outside of dinner times). Also this is a medium sized resort hotel so don't expect intimate or secluded.

This Danna hotel is splendid on all planes… Great quality of service, really exceptional.

The staff super Pro and really to small care.

Exclusive 5-star hotel with excellent staff and a high level of culinary food. Sophisticated rooms with real wood furniture and high rooms. Besides the somewhat disappointing beach, as the water is in this bay, our stay was also excellent for Swiss conditions. The plant itself and the exploration of the Geopark in the north with a guide are sure to be a big plus.

So far there is nothing which could be improved. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this is at the top of our list. The welcome we received was unbelievable. A neck massage while someone checked us in. The staff are always smiling and there are plenty of them. Snacks all day by the pool such as mini savouries, melon skewers, ice cream and ice cold water delivered to the sunbeds regularly. Ample sunbeds, some positioned in the infinity pool. Food excellent, room immaculate and service second to none. An example was that the safe failed. We had a new one up and running within 15 minutes. This is a remarkable hotel all round. I cannot find fault. So very clean and the people who do room service take off their shoes upon entering the room. We had a beautiful room overlooking the pool and sea. I could write more in praise of this paradise but it would become a novel. We will be back!

Fantastic staff & service. Good facilities & little touches that make you want to return. Restaurants are good quality and not too expensive which we appreciated. Only thing I didn’t like was leaving!

Stunning, beautiful and exclusive hotel. The restaurants are of very top quality, we loved the Italian place by the pool — the desserts were exception as was the food and service. The decor of the hotel was breathtaking and the pool is a real show piece. You have the option for dinner on the beach in the evenings. The beach is powder white sand over looking two very small islands, it is made to look even more exclusive by being surrounding by boats and yachts. Very lovely place, feels private and calm even during peak season in December. It’s the perfect place to unwind and relax if that’s what you are looking for. Near to the Langkawi cable car and all the attractions at the oriental village. Highly recommended for honeymoon, we were not on honeymoon and still very much enjoyed.

Romantic, private, beautiful, and dare I say, a throwback to when international travel was more understated and elegant. Amazing — Ritz Carlton service without having to pay Ritz Carlton prices. Two Happy Hours every day (one before dinner, one before closing time). Friendly staff — and dare I say, good looking clientele. Only drawback is that it is not centrally located — but The Danna does a good job of making sure you don't leave… which I didn't mind. =).

Not a hotel guest but we decided to spend Christmas Eve at the Planters for their Christmas Eve buffet. The food, staff and ambiance were all excellent and we really appreciated everything the staff did to ensure their guests had a memorable evening. While The Danna may be an expensive resort, it is undoubtedly the most luxurious experience I have ever had. You are pampered and taken care of at every step in The Danna. Here's a small example of their incredible hospitality: On arrival you're given a welcome drink and a shoulder massage while the staff take care of your check in. You're then given a personal tour of the resort so you know where everything is. We checked in early and the room wasn't ready yet so after our tour we sat down to relax a bit. A member of staff noticed this and offered us a drinks menu, which we ordered from. Our personal tour guide and check in helper then came around to find us (we could have been anywhere in the resort) to notify us that our room was ready and she escorted us there and showed us how everything worked. She referred to me by my title and surname throughout. Honestly The Danna is amazing. You'll love it if you go. The only caveat is if you're into exploring and adventuring then Langkawi isn't that exciting. But if you're coming to The Danna you won't want to leave anyways.

Too many likes : — The huge pool by the sea and the position of the hotel (surrounded by virgin rainforests and hills at the front). Impeccable friendly service (smiles everywhere). Complimentary water (so essential in such a hot country) and complimentary ice cream / juices / titbits like curry puffs at the pool. Lovely size rooms and bathrooms. Superb selections at breakfast. Wonderful relaxing music by the resident pianist. Great Italian terrace restaurant. What I dislike the most is inconsiderate guests swimming with their babies / toddlers (who are not toilet-trained) in the huge adult pool. A silly toilet accident could sadly see the pool close for several hours of disinfection and refilling. Love the Danna. Well done to absolutely everyone for making this such a lovely hotel to stay at. Thank you.

Amazing experience even from the reception where you will be greeted with cold wet towels, for the hands, a very delicious cold tea and a shoulder massage. Staff is incredibly polite and helpfull. The hotel is super clean and chic. This should be a 6* hotel. I traveled here with my wife on our honeymoon.

Superb place to stay and chill out. To be honest the only place we loved in Langkawi was Danna only. Service and facilities are outstandind. Very good team of staff. The entire room is so cozy, spacious. Tip top cleaniless, the shower room, the bath tub and toilet are so clean. I love the view from the room over see the bay, watching sun set and sun rise from the balcony of my room is so blissful.

The Dana is absolute heaven on earth! It has completely exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we landed we've been greeted with warmth and professional, friendly staff. Welcome drinks and shoulder massages on arrival (blew my mind) to an amazing surprise of a bottle of Champagne roses + a card in our room for our wedding anniversary. Incredible turndown service in the evenings to complimentary drinks & canapés serviced around the pool. They even have to a friendly gentleman whom cleans our sunglasses for you while lying in the sun! The list could honestly go on forever… it's must stay for everyone whom enjoys a 5 star luxury hotel.

We stayed here for almost a week to celebrate our honeymoon. The Danna raises the bar for resorts in terms of hospitality, beauty, food and overall stay. My wife and I spent 6-nights there and could happily have stayed longer. We are also both vegan and they went out of their way to accommodate us, providing customized meals. They even sent up vegan chocolate cake to have in our room after an evening massage — — which are incredible. The traditional Malaysian massage is intense, deep and will leave you feeling relaxed like nothing else. We had such a great vacation because of the wonderful experience staying at the Danna.

Service was excellent, everyone was so nice! Breakfast buffet was a dream and during the evening there is a traditional dance show for the guests. The beach is clean and private. You get great rooms, ours was so spacious you could fit another bed in it and still have space to walk. Very peaceful and quiet. I didn't see a lot of kids but there was a place where they will be looked after.

All in All was our time at The Danna Langkawi unforgettable! There are three elements very clearly in the foreground: luxury, relaxation and enjoyment. Little things, such as the Willkommensmassage, the Signature Drink, or chocolates to say goodbye cause the guests to go back in time to remember. The Service is top class and the rooms are very nicely furnished and clean. The Restaurants are on Gourmet level. The food is super tasty and price absolutely affordable. We would anytime again a room at The Danna Langkawi book, even if the luxury already has its price. But who in his journey in Asia, times really what would like to indulge, we can this Hotel only warmly recommend.

With two small children (2 and 0, 5 years old) an absolute dream — great service, super rooms (Marina) and a beautiful island.

I was a honeymooner and asked for airport pick-up, w/ extra charges of course, and it was nice that they wanted to have Jaguar XJ or Mercedes S-class. Well, I picked the Jaguar XJ and I found the driver with an eye-catching uniform welcoming me and handling my luggage to the car which was already ON, air conditioned, and chilled towels waters and drinks was well presented. At the hotel, a warm friendly welcoming and shoulder massage for both of us was an excellent greeting. You'll notice how quite, elegant, and classy the hotel once you see the staff uniform and hotel's lobby and rooms. I stayed in MERCHANT room and still was very beautiful and classy. The hotel facilities and services was fascinating, specially the pool. Also, arranging tours and trip from the hotel was really easy and safe. I just found it a bit far form city center and Langkawi attractions. Khalil Hawwari Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Warm and accommodating staff. The residence is like something out of a storybook — spectacular. I would liken it to colonial British India. It really works with the surroundings and is placed in the best spot on Langkawi with a beach at your doorstep, gorgeous three-tiered pool with spa section and childrens paddle pool, islands just ahead, the boat harbour across the way, mountains behind and either side, loungers on the beach, plenty of activities (games room, Danna spa, shop, restaurants) to keep you amused while not out sight-seeing, and small strip mall opposite the hotel that has a convenience store to stock up on your beverages and any other toiletries etc, some other restaurants and a very fairly-priced laundromat who launder and fold your clothes beautifully. The hotel also have vehicles for loan, if you get stuck. I loved it here so much. Felt like a princess and we plan to stop here at least once, whenever we are travelling in South East Asia.

On last June 2012, I have stayed with my family of 6 and we have really enjoyed the accomodation, and the hospitality. It's a palce for family and honey mooners. Great experience.
