Excellent place to stay with friendly host. Definately well worth the price paid.

A very nice place to stay if u re on the go but don't want to break the bank. The concept is unic, they have a lot of rooms and the cheapest is the dorm of 8 and 6. This dorm is cheap but u have to share with other people. If u find sharing with other people is not convenient, u can add some cash to get a room. Air conditioner, water heater, some refreshments, iron are available. Not the best place for vacation but surely a great place for your RnR.

Really nice hostel, good vibe and clean place. Option to rent bikes to go into the city, helpful staff. Wi-Fi wasn't the best, but the rest made up for that.

Every piece of fixture here is right where it should be. Not a single detail of this place is an afterthought. Very well put together. Pleasantly surprised to have stumbled upon this humble hostel.

In Muar for work, on and off for few months. Muar in itself is a nice quaint town, with hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Muar was just okay for me, until I found WakaLily.
Home away from home.
"Excellent" hostel is just not enough to describe the experience. In the words of my new found friends, Frank & Keeley, whom I've had the pleasure to meet in WakaLily, this place is simply outstanding.
Our wonderful host — Lily and CJ will make you feel at home here. So much joy and laughter.
The place itself is warm and homey. Choices of clean comfortable spacious dorm rooms and private rooms. The common area really calls you to lepak (hang out) there, adequate kitchen, fridge full of happiness for the thirsty traveller. And great company. The people that I've met and the stories that they shared I will bring with me for a long long time. Love this place. Ps: I contemplated hard in sharing my review here. For selfish reason. I wanted to keep this place secret and exclusive all to myself and few close friends. But alas. It is good to share good things. I hope, whoever you are, will experience what I experienced.

It is worth to go to Muar city because of Wakalily Hostel. Manager Lily and CJ treated me as a friend rather than a customer. Made some good friends, l miss you guys there… You can feel free to hang out with them and join their party. They have beer a lot.

The place is clean and has a lovely, homely feel. Unfortunately, it ended on a bad note. When we arrived we were informed the owners were having a birthday party for their friend at the hostel and asked us if we wished to join. When we asked how much it would cost we were told the food would be split between the group and 'not very expensive'. It was a huge surprise to be charged 100 ringgit the next day, twice the price of the room we slept in! After arguing the price they made a concession of 30 ringgit, though we still feel we paid way over the odds and can't help but feel we shouldered an unfair portion of the cost. We can't fault the accommodation but we advise any budget travellers to eat elsewhere.

Very nice place, clean good value for the money. Close to town. Shops & restaurant near by. Staff very friendly and helpful speaks English. As well few other languages.

Came to stay one night, ended up staying for three! Had a great time at Lily's WakaLily hostel. Lily and her friends, who swing by now and then, make the place feel welcoming and alive like a cosy family home. The whole hostel is super clean and nicely decorated, the rooms have airconditioning, proper blankets to cuddle up in at night, Wi-Fi quality is good in the whole building. Most importantly, the people who run the place are super friendly and genuinely nice people! Ps: also bicycle/cycletourist friendly.
