RM Hotel Muar

Booked online for this hotel (RM Hotel, Muar) got special discount rates. Located about 5-10 minutes walking from Bentayan Terminal Bus Station. There is no airport at Muar. From KLIA to Muar take approx. 3 hours by bus to reach the bus station.
My stay was on 16 — 18 January 2026.
So unfortunate, with discount rates you will get a room with No windows. RM140 for 2 nights consider good deals with a decent hotel like RM Hotel.
Receptionist need Customer service training. Look like they don't value much guest who is paying and generating revenue to the hotel. Meanwhile the housekeeping staffs male on duty was way better dealing with customer. I refused for a make up on 2nd day, but he offer me to clean rubbish, change towels and give me bottle water.
Nothing happening at night after 7pm, just a restaurant next to the hotel and during weekend near to Bentayan Terminal Bus station, lots of stalls selling local foods.
Muar city just a stopover and food places I guess.

Our farewell party here was a truly memorable experience. The staff, especially Kak Dila, were attentive and supportive, ensuring the event was well coordinated according to our requests.
The overall service was excellent. The Level 6 hall was cosy and welcoming, with a cool and comfortable air-conditioned environment, pleasant ambient lighting, a clear sound system, and top-notch cleanliness. Highly recommended for farewell events and special gatherings.

I was expecting a tiny, cramped room but it turned out to be clean and spacious, including the bed, toilet and shower. This is despite us staying in a windowless room due to high demand during the weekend.
Good for solo / couple travelers needing basic accommodation for a night or two. Location is also very convenient with plenty of food options around. The staff is friendly and loving the cute cats being cared for outside!

I checked in around 11:30 PM on 24 October 2025, and Zaba provided absolutely amazing service! He was super friendly, polite, and professional, and made the late night check-in experience really pleasant. Clean room. Aircond and water heater works well. Bed is comfortable. Had a good night sleep. Good customer service from all the staff. Location is strategic. Many amenities nearby. Walking distance for food.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the linens smelled fresh. The bathroom was spotless with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Only the walls are transparent. Housekeeping did a great job daily. I also appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and the quiet environment, which made it easy to relax. Overall, a great experience — I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Good location near town center, plenty of transport and food.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel and rooms are clean and tidy, relatively new and updated.
Walls are a little thin so can be noisy at times.

Stay sini 27/6-28/6/25. Tengok review semua memang memuaskan but I guess sebab nak dapat keychain free.? or maybe sbb takde luck.? booked 3 bilik king size bed, yg sy stay is room number 106. The room looks neat and tidy, but after few hours, satu badan rasa gatal-gatal. Even now I am very frustrated sbb tak boleh tido due to the toilet smell and satu badan gatal semakin teruk. Tak sabar nak check out. Very bad sound proofing. Even though we paid 300+ per night, at least to have a comfortable place to sleep.?

Rooms are really very clean and comfy.
There is water, tooth brushes, towels are clean.
Most importantly the front desk (Zach) welcomes you with the biggest smile and takes all the stress away.
Have been staying for at least 4 times oredi.
So I can say the standards are consistent.

The room is terribly noisy. Many aircon compressors working outside the window. Cannot sleep, very bad to health. The room is not suitible to human.

The rooms and facilities look modern and new. However, the cleanliness of the place was horrendous — there were cockroach and flies in the room; stains on the bed sheets, towels and sink; and visible dust on the floor as well. The toilet of the cheaper room was also covered in frosted glass, and you can still clearly make out what the person in the toilet is doing (no idea who came up with this kind of design).
A good point is that it's very close to the bus station and eating places.

Pros: Spacious, clean, modern concept, presentable.
Cons: thin walls will mean that u can hear ppl talking aloud along the corridor and ppl outside can hear u talking within the room as well. Mold on silicon in toilet is pretty normal. Not suitable to stay with friends since the wall separating the bed and toilet is made of glass (see pix). No parking space.

No water during morning, I stay here for Aidilfitri holiday. Worst hotel ever, the staff not helping at all. Wil lodge report to MOTAC.
Based on past customer review, its happen since 6 months ago. My bad not read the review before booking.

I make reservation online for 2 units Deluxe Twin, checking in 12-02-2024, checking out on 15-02-2024.
They modified my rooms to Executive Twin (without window) upon my check in without informing me.
Blanket is dirty with some stain on it.
