I gave it 3 stars because it's a resort and they don't have umbrellas for guests during rain. And the restaurant manager wasn't that friendly and don't feel like serving guests. Makes if difficult for guests to get to dining hall. All else: 1. Food is excellent. Kudos to the chef. Buffet spread was good. Serves quality and tasty food 2. Staff is friendly and tries to make your stay excellent 3. Rooms are big and comfortable. With hot water, working TV and air conditioning. 4. Sea facing chalets are just great. Open the door and windows, voila sea view. 5. Beach is relatively clean. Swim out a bit and you can see fishes and corals. Great for snorkeling and just to laze around or a dip. 6. Resort provides insect repellent from dispensers placed along the beach. Apply some or you'll get sandflies. 7. If you're lucky, you may be able to spot turtles laying eggs or dugongs.

Nice island but go at yr own risks. Most of us were bitten by sandflies but they can’t be seen. Itch r unbearable wt red spots on legs n arms. The hotel should provide insect repellent in the room. They hv to do sthing abt it. We wl not go again. Hopefully no scars or marks left on our body when it heals. It’s ugly sight n d itch is like having eczema.

I have been to pulau besar, tioman, langkawi, Boracay, Maldives (centara, bayan tree, Taj resort). I would say Tad marine resort Pulau Tinggi is worth the rate of 5 stars in term of the hospitality, foods, beach and price. You pay for little but able to enjoy the blue sky and crystalline sea water. This Is a quiet place with less tourists. I love this place because it is not as commercial as other famous beach. The chief was working with Brunei royal family before, the foods are really nice. I will come back again!

Pulau tinggi is much more developed than what I thought. We got to know about TAd Marine through an agency. Although it was slightly on the steeper side, we chose to go ahead. We were informed of the maintenance going on when we browsed their website few days before our arrival. To our surprise, everything was done and fixed. We booked 2 garden view room and I would rate a 4 for The rooms. Clean and equipped. Everything were functioning pretty well. Just what a room should be… like for an island retreat. We even got a simple deco for our birthday boy! Really grateful for that. Moving on to the beach. It's clean and the water is clear. But be careful if u would like to swim nearby because there are tonnes of sea urchins down there. U might wana take note before u let ur kids go down. :) sand flies are unavoidable in Johor beaches. Pls be really careful. Apply repellent before going to the beach, apply thick layer else u're gonna prepare to get bitten. The bites are killing! The meals are average. I mean u don't expect fancy spread at a simple resort on the island don't u? The food are ok I would say. Simple enough to keep ur tummy filled. Love the garden chair and table setting! Perfect for a chit chat session at night. overall everything was great! A simple weekend for a simple getaway!

Will always love this place!

My friend and I stayed in the 16th-18th Sept, the hotel was in the partial renovation, but it did not affect our tenants. The food provided is also good, the chef is Chinese, one day to provide three meals just oh, no afternoon refreshment heart and no snacks.
I do not know if the hotel is understaffed, our room is not very clean, especially the toilet toilet stain is very serious. Without room service, you need to ask yourself what you want from the counter, and basically they are friendly and responsive. Do not stay on the beach as far as possible before sunrise and sandfly.

Visited this place 2 years ago. Secluded and quiet. Great place for an escape. Room is clean, comfortable and spacious. Food too are great and delicious. I was made to understand one of the cook used to cook for royals. Friendly staff they even invited us to join a gathering at next village at one night. Overall great experience!

Clean beach, quiet place, friendly staff, fair price, accomodate with swimming pool. Will come and visit again if I have a chance, sea sport facility provided Kayak for rent, the island hoping trip was nice with friendly boatman, beautifull coral at Mentigi Island which monitored by Taman Laut Dept, Not everybody like the quiet scene here, but for me, i'm reallly happy being here, the lost paradise in Johore, Malaysia. If you think you can swim, just drop by here… snorkeling activities much fun when I saw a dozen of Nemo play around the rief just infront of the beach there… will visit here again for sure.

Great Resort experience. Best management and friendliest staffs that brighten my days with their greeting and smiles. love tad and like tad. All the Staffs were very very friendly. Right from the start at the jetty to checking in at reception, eating at restaurant, snorkeling trips and jungle trekking to checking out they never fail to show their hospitality. After snorkeling, the staff that brought us out to sea detoured and brought us to his Kampung (Village) in another jetty of P. Tinggi. He used a pole attached with a knife to cut the coconut and treated us coconut drink outside his outside. SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! :) This great stay also comes with delicious food for all meals by a very friendly Chef. Clear blue unpolluted turquoise beach. Rooms aren't far from the beach and they are clean and come with basic necessities. Friendly and responsive staff when booking the accommodation directly. I got the 3D2N full board package which include 1 snorkeling trip and 1 Jungle trekking to a water fall nearby. Swimming Pool is lovely and facing the sea. Warm jacuzzi, wonder if it is a heated jacuzzi pool. Overall, I would have given 6/5 stars if possible.
