I stayed at Rm 1308. Upon arrival there was a bell boy coming out apparently trying to help us with the luggage. But he dashed back after seeing that I was involved with a short chat with the driver. I checked in requesting two room cards but was given only one for the reason that the hotel was 'very busy'. Room internet stability and safety is a joke. There are at least two electricity plug which aren't working. I checked in with four guests, but there's only two large worn out towels; no face towels at all. Stayed for three nights, but the request of additional bed was only catered for the last night because of lack of bed. There are some good points. Breakfast was good. Price of the room was very good, so as the location of the hotel. Hotel lobby impressive. Swimming pool is fine. The service in general is actually quite good too. So long as the rooms are upgraded I can see the potential of this hotel becoming great again.

An amazing hotel for stay. Rooms look nice as that was the first I have been there. Good room service. But did not get enough heat in the showers. As I had been there during ramadan season they had setup a really good feasting dinner with a wide variety. Also helped out with a birthday celebration. They did a room deco which was really nice and worth it.

Had an enjoyable stay wif my family. Gd service, spacious and cozy room, good buffet breakfast. We were greated wif wide smiles the moment we stepped at the lobby for check in. (dont get this greeting in some 5 star hotel we been so far) Good job! Keep up the gd customer service never know you might be rated 5 star service in future.

This is one of my favourite hotels that I'd spend a night or more whenever I go across the causeway. It's conveniently located very near to many shopping malls and you don't have to travel far to go over these malls. What I like about this hotel is the friendly staff who attend to you. You'll feel the warm welcome and they wouldn't mind chatting with you whenever they're not attending to guests. The rates offered are just reasonable but the most attractive pull is the range of food offered to you whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. The next time you go over, just give yourself a try at this hotel.

Love to stay here to unwind everytime when in JB. Minutes to City Square and Komtar, night market — pasar karat. Big room, great breakfast spread. Awesome, friendly staffs! Though the shower heads could do better with new ones.

Rooms condition are very old. Water heater nit hot enough. Rusty water from tap. Bathtub needs to be replace as it is old and worn out. Everthing in the room is outdated. Time to revamp to stay competitive.

The room was mostly clean but usually with hotels we would expect impeccably clean. There were a few hairs in the washrooms that belonged to previous guests. As well, the sky lounge was nicely furnished but the food and beverage offerings during were strongly lacking. Lastly, during breakfast, the staff do not clear tables. Empty tables with leftover foods were abundant and when asked to clear tables, staff just directed us to an unused table outside of the buffet and walked away. Not the best experience. For their price in a JB, expectation for this hotel is higher but aside from having more spacious and nicer decorated lobby and rooms, nothing more justifies coming back again.

Me and my family had a getaway vacation and decided to stay in your hotel which we have not been to for a very long. Hotel is still nice to stay-inn but the bathroom need to be renovated badly! yr breakfast spread is still very good and very satisfied! staff are very friendly… we had an enjoyable stay!

The hotel is a little old.
But the location of the traffic is very convenient, room windows can be overlooking Johor, Selat, Singapore.
Shower room is three-sided granite compartment, one side is glass door. Dry and wet separation. Just the chair in the room is a bit of a historical trajectory.

Tidy Room staff attitude is good, other on the rain will leak, hair dryer has a charred flavor.

The rooms are pretty spacious and clean with basic amenities provided. We love the view too! However, the in room phone need to be fixed as we're unable to call any hotel staffs.

This Hotel’s service is lousy and incorrigible. The worst hotel experience I have ever had. Room was not ready even at 4PM! Ridiculous. Staff were not friendly and reception not responsive even after calling several times nobody picked up. Room was hot and airconditioning was either slow/not working. Think several times over before booking this hotel. The reputation exceeds you. Extremely dissapointed.

The original network evaluation is that the old equipment, the actual occupancy found in addition to the old bathroom equipment, bedroom space and tidy, it is acceptable, and breakfast rich in the overall.

With newer hotels opening up in town, this former Pan Pacific is shying away from the competition. However you would appreciate better value for money if you don't mind the small hiccups here and there. Executive Rooms were comfortable and offers good amenities. The Pacific Sky Lounge on 16th is spacious and luxurious with good variety of canapes in the evening. Too bad there's no option for private breakfast here though.

Convenience and not so crowded. Walking distance to a few shopping centre. The hotel is a little old but well maintained and the room is spacious.

It is a comfortable hotel though the hotel is old. Decoration and room styles has been old and contemporary but still it is comfortable. I would say it worth the money.

The place us old but the service & facilities are good. Pool is small but clean. It's 10 min walk to the CIQ so it's near to most shopping centers for a quick weekend trip.

Good for families especially if they drive. Walking up the hill not recommended for the really elderly, very old hotel, Wi-Fi terrible in rooms, air con not cold, they recommend to use Wi-Fi at lobby. Personally there are some other choices nearby with better facilities. Only good thing was the view as I requested a good view. Added walkway for shortcut if u are going up from city square shopping center. Beside public bank there is a staircase going up towards the hotel.

Overall 8, 5/10 Location : 9/10 city center Room is clean, cozy, and complete facility but hair dryer is not working well. Staff is friendly Wifi not good very slow connection.

My husband and I checked in to your hotel on the above stated dates. We both enjoyed our stay there. I was lucky that there wasn't much hassles upon checking in and out. I also noticed that the air con wasn't working well as I felt the room was stuffy. However, your maintenance guys came to attend to my needs quite efficiently. However, I really do hope that you are able to do some renovation on your hotel as some of the fixtures are quite old dated and the shower curtains are stained. And I will really appreciate that your service counter staffs can explained better on how to go into your Wi-Fi.

Nice and comfortable stay. Seperate jacuzzi and sauna for male & female. Lovely spread of breakfast. Staff are attentive to guest needs. Easy access via Galleria.

It’s always the details that distinguish you between average, good or excellent. Eg. 1. Our room was not given face/hand towels. 2. The bathtub tap obviously need some repairing — hard to stop the water flowing. 3. The sink stopper was stuck, it just needed an adjustment — which we did. Love your hotel. We came here a few times and each time, it’s the details that needs attention. Look into the details of the rooms, the restaurants. Do not be complacent. That’s how you become excellent.

I like the spacious room but the room is a bit dated. It would be great if it has been updated. If you are on going online in the room then it will be best to get a data SIM for the purpose. The Wi-Fi is not as good. The breakfast option is pretty good. You will have plenty of option even if you are a vegetarian here. No worries.

I am a regular here for many years. I felt that the hotel interior is run-down. I felt that the cafe should provide more coffee machines to cater during peak hour. The room furnitures is old and dusty. The bedsheets should be change frequently as there are stains on it. Its good to have room deodorizer to eliminate the bad/smoke odour. The management should look into this matter to welcome more guests in future. Thank you.

My spouse's right toe was hit by fallen bath tub wall marble (approx 8" × 8"). Her toe was swollen and painful that cause difficulty in her movement. Duty personnel was informed and she was advised to refer to clinic. Treatment fee was absorbed by the hotel. We appreciate for their assistance during the incident. Thank you for the support by both duty manageress & manager.

I found poop in the bath tub. The toilets sink clogged, the floor creates puddle, aircond too slow to cool the room. But food & the gym is nice. Thus 3 star only.

Pleasant stay. Check in earlier than 3pm. Breakfast served well. No major issue.

Strategically located in city centre. Varieties of buffet breakfast spread is great. The pool is loved by the kids.

I was given a free upgrade to a bigger room which was really delightful. The room was relatively clean with 2 free bottles of water provided for consumption. The hotel is just opposite of the 2 big shopping malls after clearing Malaysia customs but it was a little difficult to find the shortest route to the hotel. Overall a decent stay for the price but could be better.

1. The check in time is after 3pm and we arrived at 5pm. A day before a personnel from the hotel has called to confirmed on our booking and I have mentioned that we will be arriving before 5pm. But as we arrived our rooms are still not available. We traveled with elderly and we have to wait for almost 45 minutes until they upgraded us to Executive floor. 2. The room was clean except for the poor condition of the quilt cover. It has torn and the pillow cover abit smelly. Not sure if it has been changed before we checked in 3. Despite all the staff are friendly and kind.

Excellent location as far as proximity to komtar and shopping mall. Great place to stay if you have to commute to Singapore. Could do better on maintenance of rooms.

. The toilet flush — it took me some times to figure out how to flush it, and a substantial amount of force had to be applied on the button for 6-8 seconds in order to make it worth. . The shower hot water — is just lukewarm and not hot enough. . Internet speed — slow and cut off intermittently.

First and foremost I would like to thank Ms Karolina for her fantastic hospitality. She is very pro-active and have an eye for details. She did her level best to accommodate to our needs for a change of rooms with minimum hassle. She surprised my daughter with Complimentary Cakes with a Happy Birthday wordings written on the plate. That was a perfect example of "going the extra mile" for all the staffs to follow. I stayed in room 935, the HSKP attendant that did my room, clean it superbly. Thank you so much for the great experience. We'll definitely be coming back to the hotel again. Thank you for the Hospitality. I have 3 rooms booked and had request that my sister who is on another floor be put close to my room. I was told the hotel was full and front desk can only move us the next day. The room opposite mine checked out and yet front desk did not inform me of the vacancy and move my sister's room. My room was very warm that it was difficult to sleep at night. The problem could not be rectified even after 3 visits from maintenance. Called the front desk no answer so I went down to reception to tell them the problem. They told me that they can change all the rooms since the air-con is hot. And yet they didn't update me on the change of room till I checked out. I have called the operator many times during my stay for various reasons and I find the standard of service unacceptable. Understandable that the building is old an there are bound to be such problems, but the service staff should at least update the guests on how are they doing in trying to make the stay comfortable.

Everything was good. I love the food during my stay. There's a lot of choices that we can choose from. The customer service also good. Keep up the good work.

Room was spacious, well-kept and with a view (princess deluxe room). Counter staff was friendly and helpful. Environment was nice. Located near city square mall and food streets. Recommended if booked early with cheap rates.

Near to JB City Square Mall. Both interior and exterior looks kinda old, but everything was functional. An advice when using any tap in the rooms. Let it run for a few minutes to let the muddy water out. Check in was kinda slow, and strictly at 3pm only. Breakfast and in room dining (at own cost) was good. A good place to stay whenever in JB.

Big and old but relatively clean and well kept hotel. Can see it used to be grand. There's a famous dim sum restaurant here. Rather pricey though. The swimming pool is very old.

This hotel is a few minutes walk from the Malaysia JB checkpoint. Very convenient as it is nearby the shopping center. I stayed here recently during the holidays & we have some issues with the checking in part. we were told that we are only allowed to check in after 3pm as there are a lot of guest checking out and the housekeeper will need turn down the room before we check in. I totally understand their situation as I work in a hospitality industry before, but there were some impatient guest that day & they create nuisance right at the front desk as they were frustrated with the late check in. Maybe the hotel management will do something about this to avoid any unhappy guest. For me I couldnt ask for more cause they upgraded our stay to suite. It was a nice experience for me & I will sure stay at this hotel the next time I visit JB. The puteri pacific Johor keep up the good service & I know you can improve better.

2.0 / 5Fair "Poor service & Poor command of English Language" This is the 1st time I check in on 22 Jan &check out on 23 Jan 2016. Stayed with my family & relatives for 1 day tired to go back to Singapore. Check in on 22 Jan 2016 and was served by the staff whose name Fadzliana at reception counter. Check out 23 Jan 2016, we were served by the Manager on reception counter the name is Mohd Shah Othman. The staff who attended Fadzliana still on training new staff. She & the other staff Farah still on training. Both of them couldnt speak, read or write English. This would be the last time that im booking this hotel to stay when I visited with my family to JB. The Staff customer service is unsatisfactorily and the staff there is poor communication in English. The 2 new staffs on training Farah and Fadzliana did not have a proper training and during the hiring selection criteria or during the interview, why the hotel interviewer did not asked any qns regarding whether they know how to speak English Language? Because if there just place the 2 new staffs who is under training but they coulnt speak English, it will be hard for both the hotel staff and the hotel guest (Foreigner) because they couldnt communicated with each other properly. I strongly will not encouraged the other traveller to book on this hotel again.

Similar age with the Mutiara hotel. This is larger scale and at a more downtown location.

Staff give a occupied room soo embarrassed. Dirty Hotel, pilow very dirty and old, how can 4 star hotel doing that? very unhappy.

Extremely slow Wi-Fi. The gym closers at 9pm And some rooms are very old — you have to ask for a revamped room to get the newer rooms. Also — if your non smoking — make sure to let them know upfront Else you may get a smoking room which has smoke infested air — so much so that it burns your eyes and lungs.

Staff do not react well to situations. Given a room which was already occupied is not fun. A four star hotel doing that is not acceptable. Staff just gave new room without much of an explanation. Air con not working, smokey smell in non-smoking room and the list goes on!

Dirty hotel, toilet was leaking, Wi-Fi was slow, doesnt look like photos on website, rooms stank, very unhappy and would not recommend to anyone.

We just stayed there for a night. Our early plan to stay for two days but based on a few dissatisfied I would say experience the we just cut off the paln to stay longer. The room just allowed 1 gadget for the internet. We cannot request more mineral waters. I think from what I saw. This is not as good as what they did before. Are you facing financial problem? If yes, why not reducing the price and give us think that suit our price. So please customer will come not because of the room but because of the services. Think for your future. If you just served us for rm100 serve with rm100 but if you make us pay rm200 above give us with that amount of money services. Thank you.

For the prices of 200 ringgit for a 4 star hotel. It's okay. But clogged toilets, stained carpets and malfunctioning lights gives us a headscratch. Haters below are right but you cannot deny the amazing price especially if you want to go legoland. If you are a foreigner I'd expect you to stay at the hotel next to legoland or the traders hotel at puteri harbour.

Old hotel, slow Internet (3G is faster), dirty carpet, bathroom not clean and floods when showering, bad controlable airco. I'm only here because of a conference. Otherwise I would just leave elsewhere.

Business or holiday just avoid this dirty place for good! Rooms smells bad, Wi-Fi slow, dirty bathroom and more! The only place I enjoyed was the bar on the 4th floor.

Extremely old and tired hotel. Dirty also. No cloth to dry the feet in the bathroom. Towels are stained. Hair in the bathroom. Carpets r stained. Mattress has squeaky sound.
