「Pretty Excellent Hostel which I HIGHLY Recommend」 1. The staffs are very very very nice to help us with everything. 2. The room is clean and not noisy enough to sleep deeply. 3. The hostel provides free water, tea, and coffee.

Very interesting. I got a suitable double room with some ringgits. Ada tempat londri. Ada dapur umum. Ada kulkas. Ada tea and coffe. Selain tempatnya yang sangat cocok untuk backpack, guesthouse ini juga sangat dekat dengan jb larkin sentral. Saya naik grab hanya Rm 6.

Basically nice place. Cheap for bacpacker and very near to tourism spots in Johor. Also very near to JB Sentral.

You get what you pay for. But here you getting more than you pay. Roger and Gan are very helpful. If we ever come back to Johor, we will stay in the Memory Guesthouse for shure.

This is the best place to stay in Johor Bahru! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, the whole place is quiet and clean, the internet is seriously the fastest I’ve had in Malaysia and the location is a 30-min walk or a very cheap Grab ride to most areas. Recommended for digital nomads and all travelers.

It's below average. But for the price, may be I can't expect more. I can't call it as a dorm. Just the beds are separated with screens. There is no opportunity to meet and talk to new friends which normally is the case in dorms. I won't recommend. I am just frank.

Had a great stay here, even though it was a short one. Roger and Gan are very friendly hosts, and I managed to join them for dinner at a night market close to the guest house. If you like a laid back place, this is for you.

I stayed here in 2015 and Roger was a great host and by the time I left we were great friends. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Good value for money for a double room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The front terrace invites you to relax in a very well appointed setting. Location a bit outside the city center but easily reachable on foot or in Uber.

Great hospitality thanks to Roger and Gan, Good location (20mins to JB sentral, so in a more quite neighborhood) and great facilities (fast internet, a kitchen one can use, HOT water to shower…). Can only recommend this place for anybody traveling on a budget!

The best homestay in JB — easily. Why? Many reasons. Roger and Gan, the hosts, are friendly and genuine, as well as engaging and super helpful. They also try to balance the experience for those who stay just one night and those who decide to linger a little longer. It's comfy and you'll get a good night's sleep. Dorm is expertly arranged for surprising privacy to each sleeping area. Large communal space to meet interesting people. Owners constantly making improvements. Always busy! Cats galore, chickens, birds, fish… Cooking facilities. Fresh and healthy atmosphere. Lovely relaxing area but also very convenient for all parts of JB. Walking distance to centre and checkpoint. Free and very good tea and coffee. Lockers available. Guarantee you'll get a good night's sleep. Crucially, it's also incredibly cheap to boot. 5 out of 5 stars. Also — lucky guests had a free BBQ for Christmas and a Popiah Party for New Year! Very generous of the hosts, and really delicious!

It is not that the place inside looks like a cheap construction side brothel it is the impertinance to ask as much money you would pay for a 5 star hostel in Europe. Don't bother to check it out and save you the long walk. Head for Singapore not that is cheaper or much better but at least you have something to see.

Place is super friendly, clean, tidy and cheap. Very nice atmosphere. For budget travelers it is an perfect choice. In addition, close to the city center, but very quiet area. I was going to spend only one night and then go to Kuala Lumpur, but there was so nice and calm that I stayed for two. And of course, kittens! They are lovely.

Awesome place. Gan & Roger, you're great persons. Two funny and smart guys that make sure you get the greatest stay possible. Learned a lot with you Roger. And Gan, thank you for all the kindness! Already miss the cats, and this chilly atmosphere. Really felt at home in this place.

For backpackers its a great and afforadble place to go for a few nights or so. Cheap. Cleanliness is good. Free coffee and tea. Have kitchen if you want to cook. Great place to meet new people.

Super low budget and no frills stay. Really good deal if all you need is a place to put up your weary feet for the night. Highlights have to be Roger and Gan who are very welcoming and friendly, and the adorable birds and cats. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hosts are really cute and leave good impression on us. We are treated well with all what we need. If we have a chance, we will come back and share more stories with them.

Cheap guest house with very nice staff!

Quiet, relaxing place, just a little bit outside town center.

A cozy place. Free washing machine. They also have a shared kitchen. Nice owners. No aircon.

Very basic guesthouse but what it lacks in facilities it makes up for in heart. The staff Roger and Gan are incredibly warm, welcoming people. Definitely worth a stop if on route.

Very basic but the beds are comfortable and the Wi-Fi is lightening quick so it does help. The owner, Roger, is incredibly helpful. I suspect a few of the loggers live here though.

Friendly staff and very affordable price will come back to stay there.

I am traveling trough Asia for almost 3 months now and I have to say that this is the best place I have stayed! There are even free bikes available and Roger is such a nice person he even gave me a lift to the train station!
