NOT RECOMMENDED! I paid rm526 for a triple room with no tooth brush and tooth paste provided, only a mini soap bar, mini shampoo, staff mentioned to us it's management decision not to give tooth paste. the telephone did not function, It couldn't call reception, extra pax paid but no towel, toilet dirty. Housekeeping staff not being informed of the 3 bed room need to provide extra towel. compare other resorts, 2 star hotel or even one star hotel. Tooth paste and tooth brush provided. To me, a resort with no heart, how do u expect good service?

This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Kuching. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel. A very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. Hope we can go & stay there again 💕

We truly happy and enjoy our 3D2N stay at Damai Beach Resort (hilltop seaview). Incredible view, hospitality from the shuttle bus team. Food is just average but what matter the most is our precious moment captured at this great place. My kid enjoyed the pool very much. In fact lot of thing can be done to upgrade this hidden gem 🙂 Sure comeback again.

Not recommended. The room was dirty. Poor service attitude. One said there was breakfast, the other said there was no breakfast. The room has a sop but the restaurant has no sop. It's bad. Highly not recommended!

Having a bad experience while staying here! Rooms are dirty, and bad services from the staff! Their staff are rude! When booking through agoda, breakfast are included but they say no, and want to charge us for the breakfast! Blacklisted! No more next time for me & my family!

Great place to relax and ease your mind. To change policy check in time is too late @ 3.00pm but check out is standard at 12pm. And the charges for third person is too much as rhe room itself already expensive.

The best place for relax our mind because it peaceful & during evening the sunset is beautiful.

The attitude of SOME staff really bad and impolite especially the staff of frying egg and the one of helping customer take luggage to the room. Hope improve staff attitude cuz really make people feeling uncomfortable we spend money and time there to enjoy not to be treated like this, btw for beach is really nice thx.

The place is well maintain, beside the food is tasty and the service crew at the restaurant is helpful and well alert.

Great place to escape the daily routine of busy life. Beautiful scenery especially if you are staying on the Hill Top View block.

Had a short overnight retreat from town in this resort, price room is very reasonable. Booked a double queen room located at the hilltop, the view is breathtaking. The hilltop pool is recently cleaned and view is as good as an infinity pool. Breakfast for 2 is inclusive in the room rate and I've added on for 3 and cost Rm33 per person, it's totally worth as food served is fresh, premium and delicious. Will definitely come back again.

Damai Beach Resort is situated approximately one-hour drive (or might be less due to the level of traffic congestion) from Kuching International Airport. The ambience of the resort is quite, calm, pleasant to stay for those who wish to free from hassle and bussle of a busy town. The beach is clean, you may wish to sit back, relax and enjoy the sun. The room is big and spacious (I stayed at the chalet). Have a little bit of Balinese touch, but I really love it. Breakfast was good, and the resort itself already like a gateway. I suggest for travellers who wish to stay in calm and cool place.

Room no. 1111 — bad plug, balcony dirty, TV unknown, plug very few, cool room equipment can not be graded!

Room number 1110 — toilet seat will shake, the room is very smelly, the bed is not clean. Only the scenery is beautiful.

Nice location and friendly staff! However facilities in the room were not in perfect order. Had to call the staff to fix it and was met with a prompt response from staff.

The hostel is close to the beach. Quiet and beautiful environment, clean rooms, spacious and comfortable, comfortable bathroom, swimming pool is suitable for parent-child activities, dizziness Beach Walk is quite comfortable, the restaurant is spacious, breakfast is varied and delicious.

It was fun and exciting. Hotel room was in good condition and food served during breakfast is okay. Just that after checking out, there is one car being parked recklessly next to my car and blocking the door. Kiasu driver. All in all good place to spend your holidays.

Gorgeous always. Very very friendly and tried Staff. The Breakfast was also very tasty. Something for every Taste! Would stay there again at any Time!

Damai has excellent staff and pools. Unfortunately the accommodation has seen better days and needs maintenance. Our 1st chalet room had a broken shower and only twin beds, not queen beds as the booking stated. Management was very kind and gave us an upgrade but unfortunately this room on the hill had plumbing issues as well. The restaurant has excellent shakes, friendly staff and okay food. We enjoyed the food (and price) much better at the food court next door. Unfortunately they also let guests bring huge speakers and blast very loud music disturbing the peace at the pool. Thankfully there's 2 pools. 5 stars for staff 4 stars for pools and beach 2 stars for room quality.

Breakfast is ok. The outdoor environment is good. Room is a little bit old. The insect repelling works are not enough as my room has some small cockroaches and ants.

New Year's Day, has a very different experience. Originally a lot of Chinese people have come here for the New Year!

Location is great, bed is comfortable but a lot for refurbishing needed for amenities around esp walkways and huts. Areas not supposed to be seen should be shielded from the eye. Otherwise a wonderful resort to get away from kuching city. Will still go there aside from the shortcomings.

The staff are friendly. The beach is beautiful and relatively clean. The rooms are a little old-fashioned but apart from that, I quite enjoyed my stay.

The chalet I stayed in was a little sandy, the rail was not stable, green moss grow on the ladder and some planks need urgent replacement. The pools near the beach are rather small. Very crowded the time of my visit. Limited parking space. The Hill Top on the other hand is awesome. The view from up there is amazing and the swimming pool is bigger and beautiful and well maintained but the toilets and changing rooms cleanliness should be improved. I also noticed there were many ants crawling about at the swimming pool platform and nesting at one of the pole. Overall, I enjoyed my visit there.

Nice big rooms at a large compound by the beach. The kids enjoyed both swimming pool locations — the one at the hilltop was scenic and relaxing, less crowded. The other one had a nice children's pool with a water slide. If Wi-Fi connection was more stable, would be excellent.

Nice view and relaxing. But lacked of parking spaces. Maintenance work at the building was not done with safety concern to the guests. I was almost injured by the maintenance worker tool.

I'm currently staying at this place and is very disappointed with the situation. The room I am in so dusty that it has triggered my allergies … there was sand on the floor when we checked in and despite asking the housekeeping to clean it, there is nothing done even after they came to clean. On day 2, when they came to freshen up the room, the rubbish that was there from the previous guests was still there, there were cobwebs at sides of the bed that were obvious… dust under the TV cabinets which is left untouched by the housekeeping… I don't mind the old facilities as long as cleanliness is maintained… the chair outside was broken and injured my son's finger. There is accumulated dust under the picture frames. Someone needs to teach their housekeeping a good course on dusting and cleaning. The food is disappointing as well, ordered pizza and the base is a readymade base where it's so hard and chewy to bite on. The burger patty was falling apart literally. The food didn't reflect of a hotel quality. For a 4 star hotel, alot of improvements are required… it's a beautiful place just think the management has to be stricter on their qualities. Very dissatisfied and can't wait to check out.

Very good hotel on the Kuching peninsula. Perfect for nature lovers who prefer to flee cities. Gorgeous view of the rooms located on the hillside. 24-hour shuttle service from the restaurant to the rooms. The pool at the top of the hotel is beautiful and practically unoccupied. Breakfast are included for all customers. Prices are more than reasonable! At the staff level, they will do everything to answer your questions and your needs! A place that I highly recommend! ;)

Quite a stunning view of mountain and sea scapes. There is a sandy beach and two swimming pools (hilltop pool is the best). The resultant on site is okay, and there is a good court around the corner in front of the cultural village (also a must go). Great customer service and friendly staff.

I like it. Love the nice view from the chalet/ hotel. I am rating this 5 stars! I love it, even my brothers love it. I love to swim there too. Keep up a good work!

Not bad for weekend get away from city hectic life. Don't expect too much of beach activities here. Stayed one night at the chalet. Need much improvement like cleanliness and comfort necessities in the room. No slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste provided and the floor feel sandy even after room cleaning service. Hotel staffs are really friendly and helpful throughout the stays. Will definitely visits again if given the chance.

Very clean and Virgin beach with a white sand, the resort is ok not that luxury one but satisfactory.

Five star prices for 5 star hotel! Nice environment for vacationers wanting 5 star resort type setting. I was looking for a place to watch sunset with a drink, but sunset is block for this hotel by the hill to the west.

So so. Good for hangout after mount santubong.

The beach is mostly clean and quite (during weekday) and the lodging was pleasant. The only gripe I have is no free Wi-Fi and the main pool was under renovation so guests were forced to take a shuttle bus to the alternative pool up the hill.

Whilst being a little tired, this hotel offers a very comfortable stay on one of the most beautiful beaches in the south China sea. An excellent gateway to the jungles of Borneo and the sarawak cultural village, just 10 mins walk away.

Looks good from the outside but sadly disappointing. Cons — you get one pillow only then have to pay if you want a second one. Our sheets had stains on them audio had to get changed. Watched housekeeping just hand rinse cups in sink so not hygenically cleaned each day. After 24hrs eating only over priced resort food I got food poisoning. No free Wi-Fi. Tv in room only had fuzzy reception and one night cut out completely. Tryed to use the ourdoor main pool but they had no towels left. Pros — beautiful location and most of staff very friendly.
