Spent a night here and it was a comfortable and amazing stay… the food was decently good and reasonably priced, the room and bedding comfortable and clean, the pool inviting and spacious and the massage by Miss Watie was just what I needed! She definitely knows how to push the right places… loving my stay there loads and will be back for more… By the way the hotel is so close to Sandakan town and everything too!

Great hotel with friendly staff.

Everything about this place is perfect but make sure to bring a jersey if you wanna try their amazing swimming pool! (baju kain jenis licin) All of the staff deserves a BIG PROMOTION or BONUS as they deliver a perfect services toward everyone that stays there. (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown ❤️

This is the place to come if you want a extremely relaxing quite holiday. Staff were all so friendly. The rooms are comfortable. The BBQ is great on a Saturday. The pool is perfect. I love this place.

Great place to stay. Awesome pool and great restaurants. Centrally located in Sandakan. We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so.

Better management on Ming Restaurant. We have made our booking to dine in on mother's day last Friday but when we have arrived at the restaurant, the staff eventually said that the booking was not made. It should be a very happy occasion tonight but unfortunately we ended up leaving with disappointment.

The room is comfortable & big. However, the food is so expensive and not that good. There are no nearest restaurant in walkable distance.

It's nearly 11pm and I can still hear the pounding bass from whatever racket is being performed downstairs… Look it's a classy hotel with large rooms, good bathrooms, friendly staff and an excellent pool. But the loud bass in the evenings is hugely annoying and on two of the four nights our sheets had old… bloodstains? Here's hoping the muzak stops in ten mins…

Not the newest of hotels but brilliantly upkept. Massive grounds with great views. Can't fault it.

Recommended for any event. The price is quite reasonable and affordable bcoz you can choose the menu according to yr budget. We paid almost 10k and their service is good plus their food is delicious.

A relatively old hotel but well maintained. Room is spacious. Bathroom is equip with tub and shower. Staff is friendly and polite.

A nice hotel, an oasis in the middle of Sandakan. A good place to have a rest after long day work. It is part of Sandakan history — so it is worth to stay in the hotel.

Large bedrooms. Decent free form pool. Nice view of the trees. Hotel was very quite, staff could improve, no welcome upon check-in, no information provided about what was available in the hotel. Music needs to be rotated, the same music was playing for the 4 days we stayed! Agh! It must be awful if you work here to listen to that music all the time. Torture… hotel so quiet the movie "The Shining" was mentioned more than once!

Comfortable, clean and relaxed. Really enjoyed the room. Not so the dining area. The food was 'average', but it is the attitude to smoking that offends. Despite the Quran advocating that believers should ensure their actions don't offend others, Muslim men appear to believe they have a right to smoke and allow their smoke to fill the lungs of their womenfolk and nearby guests. The hotel management ought allocate a smoking arwa away from the dining area. Unless you are a smoker, avoid!

It’s nice enough but a but needs updating it’s menu, internet service is poor. Not the best location as little to do in the town but handy for the English tea restaurant and less than 20 minutes drive from crystal quest.

Good service, nice, spacious rooms, quiet. Nice view too! Awesome amenities, including a nice pool! The only downsides to this place is that its about 1.5 km out of town, and the towels provided to us did not smell fresh. They had a light musty smell. Mind you uber is available for a small fee (~rm4 from downtown sandakan). Other than that, this is a great hotel for the price! We will definitely be back if we are back in Sandakan!

Old building, but have a nice clean large room. Large size king bed and bath tub. Got swimming pool. Carpark provided. Near to town and Agnes Keith house. Worth the money.

The olden hotel but thats what make it attractive. Spacious room, wide bed with a decent desk, side tables and a king size bed! Also typing this while enjoying the bathtub right now. Bathroom is roomy and the floor tiles aint cold in the morning. Definitely worth visiting!

One of the oldest hotel in town. Spacious and private but previously it was quite inconvenient since there's almost nothing around it. But with two major ride hailing company operating in town, it's surely improved alot. Moderate price. Three eateries with whole range of inhouse facilities. Worth stopping by.

This is my favorite hotel in sandakan so far. If youre looking for a great and peaceful hotel. This is the great place to stay. I love the pool here. Have gym recreation and love the buffet. The staffs are highly trained and hospitable.

This hotel is the oldest Hotel in Sandakan and still on going until right Now. Before it changed name to Sabah Hotel, the world know with the HOTEL RAMADA. It's name Bringing many History about Sandakan and it's Local life style in year 19th… until now this area still take a good care for its originally NATURE. It's very calmly place…

This hotel had all the makings to be a wonderful, rare, 4 star experience for us. However the service and the room left us very dissatisfied. As soon as we arrived the front desk informed us that Sandakan had a new tourist tax and if we wished to stay we would have to pay the difference or refuse our reservation and book elsewhere, this not only sounded incredibly shady, but demanding a receipt from the front desk took several minutes of insisting before a miscellaneous receipt was presented. When we arrived in our room the main entry light flickered terribly and two lamps in the back corner did not work at all. The "please clean" information card from the previous guest was still on the table with all of their private information. We asked for a reclean, which ended up being a quick tidy up, and the issue lamps were moved to different, working sockets in the room and considered "fixed". Now we had no available outlets. Nothing was done about the flickering light other than suggesting to leave it off. Following morning we realized that the bathroom sink drain was stuck, once again the cleaning crew was sent to fix, their resolve? To remove the drain stop completely and also consider it "fixed". The pool that the hotel considered their spotlight had a whole section roped off for no access. The local cuisine was accurate and the chefs great and polite, but I would never stay here again.

Room rate is reasonable, but food is expensive. Breakfast lacks imagination, variety and taste. Eggs were alright though, thank goodness. Towels need to be replaced, 2 years ago.

Room very old & tired, not sound proof. Room only provide with bathroom amenities, no in room slipper and safe. Buffet breakfast poor selection, dessert and fruits not covered, guest coughing directly on the fruits. Disgusting!

What we liked most was the size of the room and the views towards the common areas with pool. The pool opens very early and closes very late and that is great for travelers who arrived late and we … And the best of all the service of his team that helped us with a little problem with complete disposition.
The worst is the carpet of the floor …

Pretty good location considering it's not far off from downtown. Food is okay, room okay, & nice pool. Front line service in need of improvement, it doesn't feel warm enough IMO.

The room was renovated already so very clear and comfortable. But the restaurant aircond don't have cold and the light very dark can't see the food very clear… and the swimming pool very dirty… after swimming the skin very uncomfortable. … and at night the car park very dark unsafe… thank you.

I had a bad experience. They don't provide tooth brush and tooth paste, the water is dirty yellowish. Bad front line service.

The ballroom is best to b used for annual dinner…

A bit disappointing for a 4* Hotel, but if I compare it with the price of 37€ it's ok. A bit more maintenance work could help. Swimming pool is nice, tennis court is closed. Laundry is quite expensive. Overall ok for one night.

Spent a week here and fantastic place to stay in the area. Modern hotel, amazing pool area and good rooms.

Nice rooms. Pool and restaurants weren't great, however (considering the fairly high prices).
