This could be a 5 Star, beautiful rooms, great service. But they rent the beach to tourists during the day and they litter everywhere. When they go, resort doesn't pick up after them. Too much noise and confusion during the day, quiet and relaxing afternoon and evening. Great dive shop.

Staff were very nice and the location was superb. Nice rooms. Food was atrocious and beaches were a little dirty.

Great place to chill. Stella is very helpful. Nice beach to snorkel. Villa's are beautiful.

Nice and friendly resort and the only possible accommodation on Manukan island. Prices are high but should already include the boat transfer and breakfast. Please note that the charge for an out of schedule transfer is a bit excessive — 530MYR. Our room was spacious and clean with a modern decor. Unfortunately we were staying on the side where all the day trippers come and go and during the day it was particularly noisy. The beach on the right-hand side of the peer is reserved for the hotel guests, with sun beds, and thus quieter. There are power shortages during the day for about 5-10mins. But that was never a problem. We had all amenities in the room and heater for shower. On the other hand, we had no internet service as we were explained, that had reached the quota. This was unfortunate and made us have to use roaming data. The breakfast is a la carte but the food is good and the portions generous. The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous but there seems to be a general lack of organization — we had to say our bedroom number at least 3 times to three different staff at breakfast, they couldn’t find us 2 beach towels when we arrived, etc. Nothing a bit of training can’t fix. Nevertheless we will never forget how kind all the staff were to us.

Busy island but the resort is fantastic and when the daytrippers leave, it is perfect. Friendly staff above all. Go for the hillside villas.

Overnight Stay recommended in any case. When towards the afternoon the Day Trippers leave the Island it becomes dreamily beautiful.

When the last day tourists are gone, it's pure idyll! The staff is super nice and accommodating. The room very clean, newly renovated and spacious.

The 2nd Island amongt the 3 famous Island in Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park of Sabah nicer than Sapi but still the plastic bag garbage are floating when we do boat trip from Sapi to Manukan. However it is more shady and more swimmer friendly. Too crowded too many visitors as garbage are being thrown haphazard need close monitoring by the Park management.

Stayed one night there. Spacious room and bathroom. Quite quiet at night… got live light performance during dinner.

World Heritage Island enjoy my trip here about 15 mins from jetty of city! Worth to visit!

Was a beautiful place. The chalet was wonderful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The price of food and drink was very fair and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Didn't stay at the resort. Just came to the island for a couple hours with kids. unlike sapi island which is much smaller but more fish and corals, this beach has a long stretch of beach which is shaded by trees all the way from one end to the other end. tip: come early morning 8-9am, while the water is clear and beautiful 50 shades of blue-green. after 10.30am 2 things happen: 1. The tide comes in and pushes all rubbish ashore and the seawater becomes cloudy making it harder to snorkel (less visibility underwater) 2. Also, the earlier part of morning, there's less people. As the day goes on, more and more speedboats bringing more people making the island crowded and noisy.

Didn't stay at the hotel but the island is beautiful. They said it's the best amongst the islands in the tour. Food in the hotel is ordinary.

Menlow dry island is a heaven of watch fish make fish, here are five spots Lake as the original tropical fish, and some bread, fish was gathered under the crystal clear sea, very nice. Enjoy a moment of listening to the sea. Shabamanugan island is a sea of the original wonders of the tropical fish. Sandy Brazil there are several islands on the sea, is well protected, the original vegetation, fine white sandy beaches, blue-green waters, under the blue sky and white clouds, is a very pleasant vacation place, Sabah Terminal in the urban area, there are regular ferries to the island, which is very convenient.

Stayed at the Manukan Island resort. What a brilliant hotel. The hotel is part of the island and has 20 rooms. 10 beach Chatlet and 19 Hill Chalets. The beach chatlet are in front of the public beach and while the hill chatlet are in front of a beach that is privately owned by the hotel. These rooms offer splendid views of the South China Sea. The hill chatlet are duplex rooms with a large living and bath area ground floor and a large bedroom on the 1st floor. Bith the floors have a balcony. The rooms have Satellite TV (limited channels), complimentary beverages in the mini bar and breakfast. The bath area has a rain shower and a small bath tub. if you are staying at the resort, then getting to it is best from the Suetra Harbour. They have a RM60 return package and it takes about 15 mins to get to the island from the harbour. The service is very professional. This is enhanced if you are staying at the resort. The RM 60 does not include a RM 10 conversation fee. This is charged as you enter the island. The food ootions are limited to the Resturant run by the hotel and one other resturant. Vegetarians need to plan ahead as the options are limited. The island has several water based activies, swimming pool (only for hotel guests) and 2 jungle treks. One of which is to the sunset point. Plan to take mosquito repellant as you will be bitten. It is approx 1.5 km walk each way and it will take an avg of 25 mins walking.

The beach here isn't great, but all the other things about the island are awesome. Don't miss the jungle trek up near the jogging trail.

Stunning Island, shame reef has not been protected.
