Nice quiet place to stay. Lemurs are wandering freely in the garden. Parking lot, hot water, generator to let you poo.
A bit outside the city center. Good value.

This was a pleasant experience, with many activities you can do. The restaurant is good, pricey but still delicious. The place is quite dusty on the bungalows side but overall it's fine.
You can also feed some lemurs and maki here^^

We just visited this place for the lemurs and we liked it very much. The lemurs can roam freely and are very friendly with people. Our guide Christino showed us atound the place. He knows a lot about lemurs and is very friendly. So if you like to see lemurs up close this is a place to visit. They have 4 species of lemur. Two species of brown lemur, crown lemur, ring tailed lemur. They also have turtles. Some of them are more than 50 years old.

My guide Christino Mahavaly was very knowledgeable with the place and about the baobabs.
I would highly recommend him anytime you're in Morondava.
He can give you a tour of the city as well.
And Kimony Resort is a very peaceful place. You can hang out with Lemur in the day and even at night.

Avoid at All Costs: Disastrous Stay at Kimony Resort.
This recent stay at Kimony Resort in Morondava was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
The feeling throughout my stay was akin to being on a ship without a captain.
While the employees I encountered were likely trainees, there seemed to be a complete lack of any managerial oversight or guidance. This resulted in a truly catastrophic experience.
Unqualified Staff: While I appreciate the chance for trainees to gain experience, the complete absence of any seasoned staff members to support them was a major issue. This led to constant confusion and a feeling that basic requests couldn't be handled effectively.
Management MIA: Throughout my stay, I never encountered any management figure available to address concerns or ensure smooth operations. This hands-off approach left a clear impression that the hotel was simply running on autopilot, with predictable consequences.
The Final Result: The lack of proper training and supervision resulted in a disastrous stay.
Recommendation:
Unless significant changes are made to address the lack of qualified staff and implement proper management oversight, I strongly advise potential guests to avoid Kimony Resort.
There are far better options available that can guarantee a more enjoyable and frustration-free stay.

Food is extremely good, both malagasy traditional food and other european, asian style.
The resort is located 15mn walk from the best beach of Morondava. 45mn from the avenue of yhe baobabs. Little bit outside the busy town.
Playground for kids. Basket ball court. Lovely swimming pool. Nice areas to walk around.
Ròom service is perfecr. Workers are kind and curteous.
We were four of us, we took the quadruple bungalow. Bathroom is large and warm water was nice. Bed and linens are clean.
We had a wonderful vacation!

Perfect stay for a few relaxing nights in nature. There are many types of lemurs arround and sometimes they crash breakfast😍 the pool is huge and relaxing. The bungalow has everything, but energy is just provided during specific times. For me that was not bad as nevertheless you can always charge stuff at the reception. Staff is helpful and friendly. Great choice of food and drinks! If possible I come back😁

Hidden away down long bumpy roads it feels like you’ll never get there but it is well worth the effort and the huge though slightly tired rooms were quiet and comfortable. What made it special is the masses of lemurs outside — I believe they had previously been kept caged but now freed due to complaints from guests but they are habituated so remain close by and are very inquisitive. I was woken up to snorting from a family who sat peering at me from the balcony only a few feet away and remained there with me for half an hour.
Beds were comfortable, the showers were reasonable and being so far off the beaten track it is very quiet but it’s very dark at night so make sure you have a torch. And don’t eat the ice-cream which was disgusting!
A nice place for a day or two and with a lovely pool, this is well worth a stop and battery recharge.

The individual bungalows are the best bit about the hotel, they are large with mosquito nets fixed above the bed, a flat screen TV (we didn’t use it) and a good size bathroom.
The hotel itself is out of town, down a sandy track they takes 30 mins to get to. The electricity only runs from 06.00-07.30, 12.00-13.30, 18.00-23.00 so it’s hard to charge anything.
Dinner is good but breakfast isn’t — stale croissant/pain ou chocolat, a bread roll, a pancake/muffin and an egg.
If it rains the ground turns to mud and the beach is about 700yds away over muddy sand and a very unstable looking bridges.
The pool is good and the bar pretty well stocked.

After couple weeks of travelling in Madagascar we have decided to take a day of relax in Morondava and we chose this resort.
According to the high price comparing to other places of Madagascar we expected also related standards.
Beach was like 20-25 minutes walking from the resort.
Kitchen and restaurant very very slow. Food not properly cooked.
Hot water was not working. Cold water stinks.
Huge cockroach in the bungalow.
While asking for the bill of whole stay they charged us things we didn't even have or bought, asking the staff what is that? They replied laughing that it must be a mistake and they gave us money back.
If you want to pay by card resort is charging you 5% fee.
I am disappointed, the only positive things were swimming pool and comfi bed.

I only went to visit this place because it was said it was a reserve. They say they "rescue" sick animals but there's no veterinarian, no appropriate food and all the animals look miserable. It seemed the lemurs out of the cage got a couple of bananas only when there were tourists and the ones in the cages were all huddled looking desperate, not to mention it was a hot day. There was a cage with about 15 rabbits with skin showing, very lethargic and under a scorching heat, the cage was not under any shade.
I was very upset to see a boa in a tiny cage trying to be in a small patch of shade, and I got very angry when the "guide" wanted to get it out to show me!
There was a complete lack of respect for the animals!
The "guide" poked the crocodiles in a tiny enclosure thinking we were taking joy with so many crocodiles on top of each other in such a small area.
I was very disappointed with this place, it was not a reserve.
I strongly advise people to ban this place.
