➜ 17 Years of Kite: my best stay!
Well, first of all, the Bay of Sakalava: The Grail of kitesurfing everything. Immense Turquoise Shades, limpid water, white sand to dazzle you, and a thermal wind of a constancy and a power never seen elsewhere, and I made kite trips!
Personally, I preferred the Bay of Sakalava to the sea of Eméraude, too choppy for my taste.
The hotel: Just a massacre. Placed on the best site of the whole bay. A 10 minute walk from the village, hidden by the vegetation. Facing the terrace, you have a tongue of sand that connects the hotel to the island opposite, as on the tourist leaflets.
As their big bungalow was not free on all my stay, I completed with a tent for my last 5 nights. The freestyle is right in front of the bar, a caipi and enjoy the Kitesurfing show.
The bungalow: It's not a room, it's a studio. King size bed. Separate showers and WC, cozy and modern decor, 3-seater convertible sofa facing the lagoon, a whole wall of bay windows, the Robinson Palace. Never seen such comfort elsewhere in kite resorts. They have two bungalows located on the roof of the hotel which also serves as a panoramic terrace.
The tent: After 10 days spent in the bungalow I thought the stay in tent was going to be rather spartan. That Nenni! All the tents are mounted on huge individual wooden terraces raised to 80cm above the ground, to which you access by a small wooden staircase.
